- I purchased this CD at a church that she visited in San Antonio, Texas. I was so blessed to be in the presence of this annointed woman and to sit under the presence of God as she sang. I purchased it because I was so touched by 'Days of Elijah.' This album is truly a worship experience. I listen to it over and over. Some other favorites of mine are 'My Soul is Anchored', and 'I Will Worship You/I Exalt You.' But every word on this album is annointed and blessed and so pure. If you purchase this CD, you will not be disappointed.
- I recommend this CD to EVERYONE - it is awesome! In fact, when listening to this CD it makes you feel like God is about to come through the roof. Judy Jacobs not only has a great voice, but you can sense her true love for Jesus Christ with the passion in which she sings.
- This cd albumn is simply awesome! It is so full of joy, I can praise God and be spiritually uplifted anytime and anywhere! I find myself remembering snippets of psalms and phrases from the various songs and humming all day long. I had never heard of Judy Jacobs, but I love her voice and her testimonies. Every song has been a blessing to me.
I bought the albumn to hear Agnus Dei....Worthy is the lamb....she sings this sooooooo well! And she also has so many others...Days of Elijiah...God Can Work a Miracle For You.... My God Is....Jesus......every time I start the cd to hear one song, I end up listening and singing to the entire albumn! I give this albumn ten stars!!!!
- I really really like Judy Jacobs and bought her album "Almighty Reigns" at the same time I got this one. Unfortunately, this one isn't as good, in my opinion. For one thing, being a "live" album there is a lot of background noise and you can't hear the main singer as well.
Also I don't care for a few of the songs. My favorite is "Days of Elijah" which was not clear enough to me. I'm not saying the album isn't good but I play and enjoy "Almighty Reigns" much more.
- I was reading Judy Jacob's book 'Take It By Force' and was being so blessed by it that I decided to buy this CD. Each and every song either had me dancing, praising or in spirit-filled worship to our Lord. What an anointed woman of God!! Everytime I hear 'Blessing and Honor' my knees get weak and tears start to flow, I've heard 'Days of Elijah' before, but never like this. I've had it for three days and it's been playing for the better part of each one of them. I'm reading about 'violent faith' and listening to awesome praise and worship music, I'm truly blessed and highly favored by the Lord!! I'm getting one for my 'Praise Partner'(s) so they can help me praise the Lord. Wow, I just can't stop raving about this experience!!

- This CD is very uplifting and Lakewood has some incredibly gifted people in their music department.
- One of Pastor Joel Osteen's lessons for all of us is that we should begin by praising and honoring God. Having watched dozens of Lakewood Church services on the Internet, the praise and worship that are led by Cindy Cruse Ratcliff, Israel Houghton, and the Lakewood Church Choir always inspire me. When I attended a live service in Boston a year and a half ago, I was thrilled to buy this CD which contained many of my favorite praise and worship songs.
If I have a lot of e-mails to answer or something pretty dull to do, I put on this CD and pretty soon my heart is filled with love and my joy knows no bounds. At first I didn't know the words, but the enclosure helped me accelerate learning. Now, I can sing these songs in the shower!
This CD was recorded live at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, which gives it a special energy and power.
Whenever I am going to play a series of CDs from Lakewood, I always start with this one.
If you don't have it, you're missing the chance to have more of God's joy in your life today.
May God bless you, your family, and all you do!
- The music on this cd is absolutely incredible. I highly recommend this and other music cd's from Lakewood Church. It is incredibly uplifting and inspirational!!
- What an incredibly awesome CD. I can't wait to see them live at Lakewood someday. The "Sweeter" song is my favorite.
- It's an AWESOME cd! I bought for myself and then gave it to someone else and just recently blessed a friend of mine with it for her birthday. She too has been blessed by it. It's inspirational and is just an awesome cd to have playing in the background while you worship and seek the face of God.

- It is a great and true pleasure to listen to Don Moen and his worship band. The music really comes from the heart and is able to lift up the soul to the throne of God every time played.
- Don Moen's huge contribution to modern Christian music is undeniable. His discography has no less than 24 albums covering over 20 years and as an executive producer for Integrity Music he has rubberstamped numerous other albums. Personal sales alone surpass five million units and he has had a hand in some of the most sung worship songs in the global church over the past two decades. As a Praise &Worship leader, he is considered to be one of the main frontrunners.
Musically, Hiding Place, is a sonic masterpiece; the work of an old master with every brushstroke correct in texture and intent. Search in vain for audible flaws. However perfection can be a cold and distant friend at times, requiring time and effort to fully understand and embrace. For me Hiding Place is such. The songs, except `Fresh Fire', are of a similar worship tempo and delivery and Don Moen's vocal is without embellishment - while this is great for recording songs as the writer intends, it doesn't give to memorable performances, even more so for a studio-based album.
That saying, `All The Earth', `With A Thankful Heart', `Hear Us From Heaven' and `Breakthrough' are notable and, with the others, may well find their way onto projector slides in many churches.
Hiding Place features sincerely beautiful tracks worth hearing in their true form. Though erring towards technical merit than artistic performance, Hiding Place is still more than a `For Fans Only' album
- Oh, that Don Moen. Even when you take one of evangelical Christianity's best known worship leaders into a recording studio, it still sounds like he's in a church full of worshippers. Hiding Place, his first studio album (as far as I know) has Don still doing little monologues in the middle of songs and saying the words to the next line of lyrics before singing them. In other words, he's doing exactly what he does in concert. It's kinda amusing to hear.
But what about the material? I own (and reviewed on Amazon) his last three projects and each had at least one song that absolutely moved me into a place of tearful worship. I'm still hoping that happens with Hiding Place. So far, nothing's done that and I must admit, this album has a lot of unmemorable, slow to mid-tempo songs that lack in energy. But maybe I just have to hear the album some more.
- If your spiritual life needs a boost, I highly recommend Don Moen's HIDING PLACE. The series of songs will gently lead you into God's presence. As the final song on the album, Still/ Be Still says, "When the oceans rise and thunders roar, I will soar with you above the storm. Father, you are king over the flood, and I will be still and know you are God."
No matter where you are on the journey of life, these words will strengthen you and guide you. Get HIDING PLACE.

- This is a great cd! I had it before and played it so much, I wore it out! I am so grateful I was able to find another copy! Thanks, Amazon.com!
- This CD GMWA, Women of Worship "It's Our Time", is one of the best CDs for Gospel music. It's so vibrant and alive, the tracks on here is a great pick me up and the words to each song are so true. If you know the words sing-a-long!
Before I purchased the CD I had heard a couple of tracks so I knew it was something I would enjoy. I recommend this music for it's definitely "Our Time".
- women of worship has always been one of my favorite choirs and the really do an excellent job on ORDER MY STEPS keep up the great work for christ.
- I was interested in this CD because Order My Steps was my Grandmother's favorite song. After listening to the stirring rendition I understand why she loved the song so much. I would recommend the CD for that song alone but the other offerings are equally impressive. You won't be disappointed.
- I searched for and ordered this album because it had "Order my Steps" on it (twice in fact), my late father's favorite song. I was not disappointed. In fact, not only is it the best rendition of that song I have heard, but the CD features a wonderful collection of up-tempo, mid-tempo, and slow-tempo gospel music. I was particularly impressed with the soloists for each song. They are all different (the soloists) and are faultless singers with powerfully wonderful voices. There is not one song on the CD that I don't like (you don't know me, but I am quite picky and have a long history of enjoying gospel music as my preferred form of praise--I even play and sing a little). I recommend this CD to anyone seeking excellent gospel music in which you can understand and appreciate every single word. It will make your feet tap, your ears smile, and fill your heart with praise.

- I stumbled across this album quite by accedent and it hasn't been off my CD player since. Aled Jones really has the most beautiful male voice I've ever heard. His beautiful renditions of some of the most well known and loved christmas carols, as well as some of the less well known is a delight to the ears. His versions of The Covantry Carol, The Angel Gabriel and God Rest You Merry Gentle men gave me goose bumps and his duet Silent Night sung with Hayley Westenra is really too beautiful for words to do it justice. This album really is not to be missed.
- I have to admit to being an absolute sop and say I LOVE CHRISTMAS and Christmas music. I am manic at this time of year. This is one of the most beautiful Christmas albums I have heard. Aled Jones has a beautiful soothing voice and being a traditionalist I love the songs he has chosen. It is worth buying this CD purely for the most haunting versions of the `Coventry Carol' you will ever hear. His duet on `Silent Night' with Hayley Westenra is also magnificent, along with my favourite carol `The Angel Gabriel'. He also sings a duet with himself on the bonus track `O Holy Night', himself as a boy soprano which will take your breath away. If you want a haunting, beautiful and soothing traditional Christmas album don't miss this one because it is a real Gem.

- Now, we didn't know it when it came out, but this would be the last Audio A CD of totally new material. And did they go out in style, as the first track quickly shows. "Clap Your Hands" is one of my favorite Audio A songs, a great rocking song that's just plain party fun. It's impossible not to either play air guitar, or dance. If you don't, you don't know how to have fun, because this song it cranked to 11 fun. And while not as good as "Clap Your Hands", the title song is a great rock song.
"King" is a great Audio A original worship song. Audio A never did a cover to do a great worship song, they created them, and this song is one of their best worship/praise songs. "Undefeated" comes with a little of Deja Vu, as it sounds a lot like the title song.
"Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher" is the best cover ever done of that song. Mark Stuart shines for good reason on this song, and blows the original out of the water.
Overall, Audio A didn't go out doing bad albums, they went out with some of the best work of their career. This is a great band, and they'll be sorely missed by all CCM fans. Let it be said Audio A went out undefeated and in a blaze of glory.
- The album has very nice songs and the great sound of audio-a, sadly mark's voice is noticeably fading. I have also the farewell concert from hawaii and it was heart breaking for me, an Audio A fan to see them say goodbye. Songs like "king" and "undefeated" sound incredibly good. I hope Mark's voice get better so they can reunite and rock again.
- The infectiousness of this CD really took me off-guard. I mean, I'm a loyal Audio A fan who buys all their CDs and have come to expect a certain level of excellence from them in every recording:
This CD took it to a whole new level.
Upon first listen, it was better than I expected. But on repeated listens, it just kept getting better! Each song is so addictively melodic that I practically get a different song from this CD stuck in my head every day. And I've had it for over 3 months now.
I found Worldwide (their previous CD) somewhat disappointing and formulaic. Too many pop/AC singles on it. But this disc delivers the goods, maintaining the difficult balance of melody and rock at all times.
I also want to mention how Tyler's vocals are really a highlight on this CD. I love Mark Stuart's gravelly vocals and always will, so in the past the "Tyler" songs were mostly radio-friendly pop tunes, which IMO were second-rate to the rockin' "Mark" songs. But this time Tyler amps it up vocally, and shows us he can belt out the rock vocals as authentically as Mark can. Way to go! I'm convinced.
I love this disc. Not a bad song on it.
- I'll admit it, 2 weeks ago I hated the thought of seeing adio adrenaline in concert with my church youth group. I like bands like Seether or knickleback...not this mess.
Then I went to a concert...now I own 1 of their cd's (this one) and am planing to see them in concert again this June.
This is a great CD, I have fallen in love with Audio A.
Support the hands and feet project, find out how at, www.audioa.com
- Audio A is back, and while this cd has some great moments, it doesn't top "Worldwide". This disc has more of a worship feel to it and really reflects this band's maturity and longevity. "Clap Your Hands" kicks off this disc in true AA fashion and other stand outs are "Until My Heart Caves In" and "Starting Over". I particularly like their remake of "Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher"! This cd really shows off their excellent muscianship with the only real disappoinment being "King". The song itself is uplifting in its lyrics and delivery but falls victim to the same formula (structure and chord progression)that has driven the "worship song" format that has become all too popular lately. Worship songs are great, but some diversity is needed from all the "cookie cutter" songs hitting the airwaves. If you are new to AA, grab "Worldwide" and "Hit Parade". That's a solid start to this amazing band and their passionate ministry of music!

- This is great! When I feel down, I play this over and over without stopping and if I really listen to the words, it really ministers to me! This is an anointed choir and if you slow down your life and really listen to the words, God will move in you through them! I thank God for their anointing!
- Excellent product, perfect condition, timely delivery, this choir never disappoints in the black mass choir genre' of music... recommended seller.
- Wow what can be said about this most precious praise and worship tape. It has blessed my heart and yet made me think of my own life. A great CD to share.
- Such a beautiful C.D. Perfect for preparing your heart for worship, or getting in the mood for praise. One cannot but help singing along with every song, because each fills your heart with joy.
- If you are feeling low put on this tape and start at song 1 play through to the end skipping nothing and concentrate on the words. I promise the pull of the lyrics and music will make all well...totally uplifting.

- Taize style music is very popular among college-age worshippers today, and our Centre for University Ministry regularly offers Taize services. The hallmarks of Taize services are simplicity, peaceful spirituality, and music based upon the chant styles of the Taize monastery in France. Founded in the aftermath of the second World War by Brother Roger, who died in a prayer service in the midst of the community in August 2005, Taize is dedicated to peace and ecumenical action.
Taize music is both simple and sophisticated. Brother Roger, founder of Taize, seeks to add a prayerful element to music, and a musical element to prayer, believing firmly in the old dictum, 'those who sing, pray twice'.
The songs of Taize are designed to be sung by those who have difficulty carrying a tune, as well as those whose training and background in music extends to high levels.
This recording contains many of the best Taize chants. Given the international outreach of Taize (it is a great pilgrimage site for people all over the world), the chants tend to be sung in Latin. The Latin is not due to Catholic influence as much as it a shared language among many people's linguistic heritage while no longer being anyone's first language. Brother Roger reclaimed Latin as a language for the monastery so that no one 'living' language would claim a dominance over others. However, there are solos that are done in French, German, English and Italian, too.
Taize worship relies on psalms heavily, as well as periods of silence, Bible readings, and prayers. Some such pieces are included here.
The way Taize chants 'work' is that they are simple phrases and simple tunes that gradually reveal depth and sophistication by being repeated over and over. All chants presented in this text are put in multiple-part harmony (usually four-part), and some are marked to be done in rounds.
This recording is a rich expression, wonderfully presented. According to Brother Roger, all who follow this journey of the spirit remain alongside other people, adding their prayers and voices together. 'They do not separate prayer and commitment.'
- I was browsing in a Catholic store when I heard this CD playing. I have never bought a so-called "religious" CD before (except for classical music) and I think that it is my love of classical music that initially attracted me to this music. This type of singing is a form of prayer which adds to its inspirational qualities. I also find that the repetition/harmony of the choir, the solos, and many of the songs have a soothing and thus, healing quality to them. My favorite tracks are 2) Toi, tu nous aimes/you love us (wonderful and calming for morning and evening reflection) 4) Tui amoris ignem 6) Misericordias Domini 7) Alleluia and 11) Herr, wohin sollen wir gehen? (God, to whom shall we go? - the latter is quite stirring). I also like the fact that the solos are sung in Latin, French, German, and English, etc. You don't have to be "conventionally" religious to admire this CD and the mission of Taize; you only need to have an appreciation of fine music and its spirituality.

2 comments about Joy to the World!.
- Wow!! I adore this CD. I love music that is both traditional and yet a little different, and Steve can do both so extremely well. The best track on the CD is "Adorar al Niño," which combines a wonderful Latino beat with the traditional Christmas story. This song was so impressive, I wrote to CD recording company & was able to obtain a copy of the the sheet music to use in our contemporary praise band at church. This song really gets people's attention, let me tell ya!! It's just fabulous. AND it's a Christmas eve tradition in our church, 2 years in a row, to use this album on Christmas Eve as pre-service music until our band is ready to go. The very first track, Joy to the World, is done in such an outstanding, majestic, upbeat manner, it captures the joy of the season. The next few tracks are awesome as well, with everyone's favorite "Silent Night" as the 4th track, which is performed traditionally with excellence. You have to wait until track 9 to hear "Adorar al Niño," but you'll be very pleased with all the music in-between. Awesome. Thank you, Steve! And God Bless You!!
- Steve Green has a glorious voice, a full liquid sound that has a huge range and power of operatic proportions, but is equally effective when he is singing softly, which is how he interprets many of of the lovely songs on this CD, which span the centuries from Handel and Beethoven to "Jesus is Born" which was co-written by Steve.
He sings in a straightforward style, and with the melody, instead of against it, which has become so popular in modern times, with singers sometimes thinking that exaggerated "frills and meandering" make a song "their own"; Steve instead relies on his vocal technique, and the rare gift of true artistry. Highlights for me are the exquisitely tender "Silent Night", and no Christmas album is complete for me without "O Holy Night", which is here presented in a medley with "The Birthday of a King"; other good medleys are the excerpts from Handel's "Messiah", and the final combination of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel"/"Thou Didst Leave Thy Throne". My absolute favorite is "Adorar al Niño", sung in flawless Spanish (with one verse in English) and with a marvelous Mexican-style arrangement; it's an infectious tune, and the performance by all, including Jon Goin and Mark Casstevens on guitars, is exceptional. Whether singing in the richness of his full voice, or in subdued velvety textured tones, Steve is a joy to listen to, and this 1987 CD, released in the fourth year of his long recording career, is tasteful and inspiring; a perfect addition to any Christmas music collection, it is one that becomes increasingly appealing with each hearing. The sound is very good and total time 33'38.

5 comments about Letting Go.
- Anthony Evans has put together one of the very best Christian releases I have ever listened to. A perfect blend of melody, lyrics, and God-centered attitude is found on each track - truly a release that is difficult to choose a favorite among, since all the songs are so good. This is one of the few CDs I have (and I have almost 3,000) that can be listened to from start to finish without skipping a track. What is most delightful, however, is the personal identification I feel with what Anthony is saying about his faith - if you have "put off the old man" and are a new creature in Jesus Christ, there is no way that every song on this release will not resonate deeply within you.
A few comments on the other reviews posted of "Letting Go" - I agree completely wtih the reviewer who pointed out that there is a difference between Evan's "Even More" and "Letting Go" - in my eyes, there is hardly any similarity at all and it is hard for me to think that both releases are actually done by the same artist, the gulf is so great. Additionally, as with another reviewer, I too have witnessed the unique multi-generational appeal "Letting Go" has: I grew up with Motown, Beach Boys and Beatles, but my 15 year-old granddaughter loves every song on "Letting Go" as much as I do - quite a feat in today's times!
To sum up, "Letting Go" is nothing short of inspired - an amazing collection of songs that accurately describes the Christian experience with great understanding and compassion, and keeps a steady focus on where it should always be - Almighty God.
- The first song I heard of AE was Be Still, and I didn't know who he was at the time, but I loved the song, then my brother started playing the same song and told me who he was and started playing more songs from his new cd and I immediately went to this website to purchase BOTH cd's. One of the things I love about his second cd is his lyrics!! They are AMAZING!! They portray the Lord and our relationship with Him accurately and biblically-very rare in Gospel and Christian music! I haven't heard his first cd yet(hasn't come in yet), but I do agree that it does have more of a CCM feel which is cool with me. I definitely wanted more of the "Be Still" kind of feel, but I love this cd! I haven't stopped playing it since I got it! His voice is AMAZING!! Excellent job, Anthony! Keep'em comin'! The world needs more artists painting accurate pictures of our Dad!
- I am a -- year old mom and grandmom. I prefer to listen to Christian music, but my taste ranges from Southern Gospel to contemporary. Was looking for some good worship music and stumbled across Anthony Evans' music at his father, Tony Evans', website. Just hearing a short excerpt of one song from his first CD, I liked it enough to buy both CD's. This one is different from the first, more upbeat and diverse, but I love them both. I thought so much of Letting Go that I bought one for my twenty-something son, who also thought it was great. You will not be disappointed!
- Let me just put it like this. I do agree with the other users that this album is much different from the first one. What I will say is that he(Anthony Evans) seems more comfortable with this style of music. Long have I been waiting for an artist who dares to be different for Christ without compromising the message. My favorite track is "Consumed," the boy gets down on this album in a unique way. If your tastes are not opened up to different styles of gospel music, then this may not be the CD for you at this point. To everyone else who has an open mind, go get this CD. My only regret is that it only has 10 tracks, but I would rather there be ten great tracks then a bunch of filler songs. This is AE's best album yet.
- I just got this CD a day ago and I am so in Love with it. I love almost every song. I just play this ablum straight through, for the most part. My fav. tracks are I Choose Now, Letting Go, Before You, Consumed, Meaningless, Love You With My Life, Whatever I Can't Erase, The Fight. Anthony Evans is a great writer and he composes lyrics so well. This album is annointed and you can just feel his passion for the Lord in every song. I can honestly say that I can relate to every song on his album. Anthony if you are reading this keep allowing the Lord to use you the way he wants to, this album truely touched me.
