- I enjoy these cds, but I'm surprised that there seems to be less variety than some of the previous editions.
- Every awesome song you could hear on KLOV or Air1 you will find on this CD. There is not a single song that I don't like!! So worth the $$:)
- I got this for just under $11. That's a great price considering the WOW CDs are usually close to $20.
When I listen to it, I feel like I'm listening to the regional Christian radio station. They play the exact same songs.
I usually don't buy these compilation CDs unless I absolutely love most of the songs. This deal let me take a chance to hear the songs I was less familiar with it. Definitely worth it.
- Most of the songs on these cds are familiar. A few that I've never heard, so I'm assuming they are hits in another part of the country.
- The WOW CDs are great and very typical of what's used at our church. Even my husband loves them as he plays in the contemporary band.

- This was a pretty good CD. The title track "Thirsty" was the better of most of the tracks. "Never should have made it" was pretty good, but it was not what I thought it would be.
- All I can say is that Marvin Sapp is a true Worshipper! I will be buying more of his CD's.
- I have always enjoyed Marvin Sapp. He's not just an artist trying to sell music with a catchy beat, he is a man of God and full time minister of the gospel. I believe that Marvin actually lives what he is singing about, and the annoiting that flows through his music and minstry is evident of that. You have to have a personal walk and relationship with the Father to fully appreciate and identify with the experiences that he portrays in his singing. "Never Could Have Made It Without You" is very inspirational aand humbling. For the worshipers out there and for those who love gospel music for more than just the beat and for it's ability to appeal to the flesh, I highly reccomend this CD
- Marvin's smooth gospel vocals make you feel the music. "Never Would Have Made It" really makes you think of the things that you've made it through and how without Jesus you never would have. This song brings tears to my eyes each time I hear it.
- I received this cd from my husband for Mother's Day and have to say that this is another spirit-filled project by Marvin Sapp. He has some great music. From his days with Commissioned up to the present, he never ceases to deliver in his music to magnify the Lord! I am getting the dvd next! My only negative is that the cd is too short! This is the continuation of Diary of a Psalmist! I love that DVD!

- This was a very moving and very relevant CD. I would recommend it to others who are Casting Crowns fans.
- Casting Crowns has released another amazing album. East to West is my favorite song on the CD, but Slow Fade, Somewhere in the Middle, The Altar and the Door, and All Because of Jesus are also really good songs. A powerful piece of work. Well done, CC!!
- I love this album. "The Altar and the Door" is a great song, as is "East to West". But I think my favorite is "What This World Needs". This song just spoke a lot to me. A definte have album!!
- I really enjoy Casting Crowns. They sing about real life circumstances and lean on the Lord while having a more modern-upbeat sound that kids and adults will enjoy (light rock'ish'). I put both of their cds right onto my ipod and have been listening to them ever since...
- If I had it to do over again I might pick up a different CD from this one. With that said it is a good CD, once again hitting on Christian principles of living out your faith in a genuine way. I was a little disappointed though, it seemed to me that they rehashed some of the themes from their old albulmns, and the songs sound a little stale. Nothing really struck me with "wow". I know they do what they do with much personal conviction, I guess I had a hard time seeing that this time around.

5 comments about I Can Only Imagine: Platnium.
- I liked this cd a lot. It had quite a few of my favorite songs on it. Some were done by othere artists than the ones I am used to hearing on the radio, but they were very good versions. I was excited to find the Dallas Holmes song "Rise Again" as it is one of my all-time favorites.
- If you like contemporary christian music you will love this CD. Well worth the money spent.
- I can only imagine. Wow was hoping it would be as annointed as it sounded like on tv. It is. I would not hesitate to give this as a gift or to just buy it for myself again, if i did not already have it. This cd is one of the BEST i have bought in years.
I Can Only Imagine: Platinum Edition
- I like a rehash of an old song... as long as a new take is presented. This set had artists performing great hits (like Indescribable) by artists who just didn't give you that same feeling of power and purpose and praise. The selection of songs is amazing. The selection of artists is less than stellar (though there are some greats on here too). For this, I have to lower my rating to three stars. Hope this helps.
- The songs were great!! Just cant stop listening and worshipping the LORD!
JESUS is the best!

- With 2005's "This Woman", LeAnn delivered one of the best albums I've heard, and even though this is a small step down, it is still a true 5 star album, that everyone should buy once they get the chance. Now that LeAnn is writing her own songs, she is delivering more impressing performances than ever before! Her voice sounds better than ever, and man, she has some awesome pipes! A true winner!
Favourites:
"Good Friend & A Glass Of Wine"
-Oh My God! This song is one of my all time favourite numbers by LeAnn! It's rocking, rollicking fun! The fact that this bombed at radio is beyond me.
"Nothin' Better To Do"
-Wow! What a vocal performance" She sounds so great! This is just a classic country song, and simply an amazing song.
Buy this album along with Trisha's newest release, "Heaven, Heartache And The Power Of Love", and you've got the two greatest releases of 2007.
- Very solid release. love "nothin' better" especially the video (very cool), "good friend". "til' we ain't, "upper hand" and "when you love".
She has grown vocally and as a writer. Recommended!
- Rimes has always appealed to women and her release is no exception. The new cd "Family" is full of meaningful and enjoyable songs that I just can't turn off.
- The Material Wasn't as Great as I first thought,on the album. Very happy with the service from Amazon as always.
- I'll preface this by saying, I have spent a majority of my life shunning country music. Now those of you who have read my other reviews know about of my undying love for the Dixie Chicks and my like of Carrie Underwood. Yet, Miss Rimes has always left an unpleasant taste in my mouth, probably because of that sappy, godawful, "How Do I Live" song that made her famous and that you coudln't get away from in 1999.
Then I heard "Nothing Better to do" and my curiosity was piqued.
This chick has an AMAZING voice. I love this song! I love it so much I had to hear the whole album. It's pretty good too! Stand out songs for me are Good Friends and a Glass of Wine, Till We Aint Strangers, and of course Nothin Better to do.
For those of you who don't like this song because you can't understand the lyrics, buck up and doo a googlesearch for God's sake!
Hung my cotton dress on rusted wire
Up there on Pilahatchee Bridge
Just a crazy roughneck's daughter
Jumped head-first into the water
Baptized away my sins
Hitched to town with Bobby Jo and Tommy
Couple of lookers, new best friends
We slipped in the back of Sunday service
Know them church ladies, they heard us
Bum smoke money from the offering
Mama said, "Idle hands are Devil's handywork"
Oh, the trouble you'll get into
You got nothin' better to do, got nothin' better to do x2
Yea yea yea yea
Oh, yeah
Sign read: BAIT, CHIPS BEER and AMMUNITION
That Slim-Jim bag boy hadn't a prayer
Well I hiked my skirt and did the talkin'
While them boys were busy walkin'
Case of .5 out the back door
Hid deep in the Mississippi backwoods
We danced and played around 'til dark
Well I had them wrestlin' for my first kiss
Turned into a fight and they missed
Me speeding off in Tommy's car
Mama said, "Idle hands are Devil's handywork"
Oh, the trouble you'll get into
You got nothin' better to do, got nothin' better to do
You got nothin' better to do, got nothin' better to do
Yea yea yea yea
Nobody hurt, nobody harmed
Nobody's busines but my own
Mama said, "Idle hands are Devil's handwork
Oh, the trouble you'll get into!"
You got nothin' better to do, got nothin' better to do
You got nothin' better to do, got nothin' better to do
You got nothin' better to do, got nothin' better to do
You got nothin' better to do, got nothin' better to do
yea yea yea yea
Oh, yeah
Got nothin' better to do, babe
Got nothin' better to do
You got nothin' better to do, babe
Ya got nothin' better to do, no no
Got nothin' better to do!
Ya got nothin' better to do, no no

5 comments about To Know That You're Alive.
- A lot has happened to the Portland, Oregon-based Christian rock band Kutless in the last two years since the release of their third studio album Hearts Of The Innocent. Founding guitarist Ryan Shrout left the group to spend more time caring for his infant daughter who had been diagnosed with a serious disease. The band's guitar technician Nick DePartee steps in to fill his shoes during live shows and eventually becomes a full-time member. Frontman Jon Micah Sumrall suffers some near career-ending injuries. All of this and more has contributed to a Kutless that sounds vastly different from what most of us have become accustomed to.
So how exactly does this "new" Kutless sound? In a word: amazing.
Certainly, you can tell that at the core this is still the same Kutless we know and love. However, this is far and away their most experimental and mature album released to date. The integration of new guitarist DePartee into the fold has brought a decidedly different sound to the band's music. I hate to describe it as "arena rock" because that almost always implies the 80's hair metal cheese factor, but it's easy to see what the band had in mind when writing these songs: to simply rock each and every arena they perform them in.
The album kicks off with "The Feeling," a short but tasty track that is more or less a call to arms for Kutless fans to come together and rock out for Christ. This track was available for free download from the band's website for a while, and it sounds like nothing they've ever done before. The instrumental piece "Sleeping City" follows, and although it too is rather short it is also beautiful and somewhat haunting at the same time. It blends into the album's title track, and like "The Feeling" this is one of the most rocking tracks the band has ever written. "The Disease and The Cure" is my second favorite on the album; it has an almost punk sound to it and the chorus will get stuck in your head after just one listen. Jon Micah also sings beautifully in the song's bridge. "Complete" comes next and although I don't think it was the greatest choice for a first single because it really doesn't represent the album as a whole, it's still a great song about how we truly are not whole without the love of Jesus in our lives. "The Rescue" is probably my least favorite song on the album, but that's only because Jon Micah's vocals sound a little too strained in the chorus for my liking. The rest of the track is amazing, especially the screaming and breakdown near the end. (Not to mention the very subtle synth hook that you have to listen closely for to hear.)
"Promise You" is one of the band's most lyrically poignant songs ever written. It has to do with a victim of domestic abuse and how crying out to the Lord has helped to empower this person to escape their tormentor, and even though "forgiveness can't take scars away" they "forgive them anyway." Very moving song and if you don't agree you must not have a pulse. "Guiding Me Home" comes next. Some I know have said that it sounds a bit too much like the title track from Sea of Faces, and I can see where they are coming from to a certain extent but it's still a beautiful ballad that manages to stand on its own. We will never deserve all of the grace and love that God has shown us, but He does so anyways. "Overcoming Me" is another hard-rocking track in the vein of "The Feeling" only better and slightly longer. The way Jon shouts "I'm standing in the pouring rain..." in the chorus sends chills up my spine. "I Do Not Belong" is, hands down, my favorite song on the album. Everything about it is perfect musically and lyrically. Our time on Earth is only temporary, and this song reinforces that message. "Loud" is more or less an abridged version of "Shut Me Out" from the HOTI album; the two songs are very similar from lyrical standpoint but this one is considerably shorter. "Dying To Become" is probably the most experimental track on the record. The piano that opens the song and each verse is awe-inspiring, and Jeff Gilbert's drumming is incredibly precise. Another reviewer here compared this song to the Guns 'N' Roses hit "November Rain," and I can definitely see the comparison musically. There's also a tasty guitar solo a little more than halfway through. The album closes with "You," a song that features some of the best vocal work from Jon Micah ever. This is certainly not one of those overly vague "God or my girlfriend" type of songs. Here, you can tell that Jon is singing about the Lord.
With this album, Kutless have proven that they really are a force to be reckoned with in the Christian rock scene. Personally, I believe they established that status four years ago with the Sea of Faces record, but this release definitely cements it. As I said before, you can tell this is a Kutless record at the core, but it's also a much better, slightly grown up Kutless record. And that certainly is a good thing.
- This album hands down is the worst album Kutless has ever put out, period. I mean I can see that they were going for a 'new sound' aka selling out, but by doing so, they dissapointed true kutless fans....this album sucks, don't get it.
- I really enjoyed listening to this album. Two songs that really stuck out for me was "Complete" and "The Feeling" they are prob. my favorite songs on the new album. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the cd as a whole. If you've liked Kutless from the very beginning, then you need to buy this.
- My mind is blown... Kutless has transcended their previous "really good hard rock" and gone somewhere into the far reaches of excellent new wave metal with a penchant for emotional interludes and superb guitar work. The lyrics are worshipful and honest as always, but the sound is a TOTALLY revamped craft. If you have always loved Kutless, but leaned towards the modern sounds of "Skillet" "Red" and "Thousand Foot Krutch" than you will have finally found a Kutless album that is bringing you what you always wanted.
Praise God for Good Musicians!
- I've been a fan of Kutless since the beginning and with news of a new album coming from them always gets me filled with anticipation and joy. They are the best and this album shows why. It has a little bit of everything for everybody. Soft and slow, hard and fast! Listening to any Kutless cd really gets you in tune with God, especially when you're having days where you're feeling out of step with Him.
I can't think of one track on this cd that I don't like and the major majority of them are an absolute pleasure to listen to over and over. Great guitar play, Jon Micah's awesome vocals, very spiritual lyrics that have a lesson to teach us all, beautiful orchestral work laced behind some of the tracks. There is much passion in this cd! Do yourself a favor and pick up this cd, it will fill your heart with love and joy.
If you're new to Kutless get all 4 of their main releases(they have 4 regular studio albums including this one and a praise and worship album, Strong Tower). You need to experience all of these albums to really get a feel for how great Kutless's song lyrics are and the wonderful message of God they are spreading across the world.
Some of my favorite songs on this album are the title track, To Know That You're Alive, as well as, You, Complete, Guiding Me Home, and I Do Not Belong. You will feel like you belong after you listen to this amazing cd. I think Kutless is the best band anywhere, whether it be in the world secular or Christian music. Please give this one a try, it is fabulous! God bless all!

- This CD is simply wonderful. I would recommend it for anyone looking to be uplifted.
- Please keep Steven Curtis Chapman and his family in your prayers. The song Cinderella is about his youngest daughter who went to be with Jesus yesterday. Cinderella, along with Miracle of the Moment, is one of my favorite songs on the CD. Again, please keep the family in your prayers.
- I may be a bit biased because Steven Curtis Chapman is my most favorite artist ever, but this album tops the charts in my book!
- Chapman's new CD is awesome. I purchased it because my granddaughter's favorite song right now is "Cinderella". It fits her stage of life perfectly. Great album!

5 comments about Stand Out.
- I really WANTED to like this cd, but it just didn't do it for me. I liked a few of the songs, but Tye's last cd was much better than this one. I bought this cd because I have been on the Tye Tribbett team for a long time, and I wanted to support his music. Yet, I was a little disappointed when I listened to the songs. On one of the songs, the lyrics were basically being mumbled by G.A., and I had to look up the lyrics in the cd cover; but because all of the lyrics were so jammed together onto the page, I couldn't decipher them. Overall, the cd is mediocre.
- Tye Tribbet and G.A are an awesome group and what better way to come back out is to stand out.Awesome
-
Tye Tribbet's Stand Out is very interesting and exciting album. I'm not sure of the genre at times, but it's very unique and something different + has very strong no comprise kind of message. I like songs 1, 6-11 and 13. Others are ok or nothing special. The album has some crazy moments and I like listening to a CD where you don't know what comes next. Probably the best gospel album of the year (at least so far).
- This is not one Tye Tribbet's better efforts. His attempts to diversify his music, I think stretches him too far. This is a person, I believe, with "Prince" like talent. But sometimes, the world isn't ready for you. I think he needs to reel it in a little bit and give us smaller bits of his genius. I found only one or two songs on this CD that I liked and I only played the Cd a couple of times. I can clearly see where he's going with a lot of the efforts, but I'm not convinced. I happen to enjoy all types of music so I'm not stuck on hearing just "traditional" types of Gospel, I appreciate all venues. I think he needs to go back to his successes and determine what really works best.
- Just an awesome album. Got turned on to Tye Tribbet by my daughter about 3 yrs ago from a Christmas present and have ben hooked every since. By me being a minister and a musican I love the message and the drive in the music.

- I love this album so much! I have always been on the Kirk Franklin team, and I've always enjoyed his music! However, "The Fight of My Life" absolutely took my breath away! I love EVERY song on this album! The lyrics are beautiful; the message of Christ is clear; the music is on point! I am curious to see how Kirk will top this! He absolutely floored me with this one and left me speechless!
- I'm am such a fan of this cd. It has everything on it. I was quite reserved when I heard Toby Mac was on here then I listened to that track oh man!! What a blessing! This entire CD is so tastefully done. There is something on it for everyone. EVERYONE!!! No matter what your style is.
I hope all who purchase this cd will be touched by the words that were gathered to compile this cd.
- Ok I will be the first to say I did not care for this cd. I am a fan of Kirk but this one is not one of my favorite. There are only 4 songs I like which are, "Declaration, Jesus, A Whole Nation, Still".
Maybe it is a CD that I will have to listen to a few times. For certain, there are a few songs I will automatically fast forward.
- A brash bass-weighty track, posturing on the street corners of the genre - check out `Little Boy'. A positive confession is here with `Declaration - This Is It, affirming the faint'. A pensive ballad makes a show with `Help Me Believe'. Oh, and a churchy piano ballad features in `He Will Supply'. And with the above mentioned songs all done by track 7, you'll know it's definitely Kirk. He is now well established as the elder statesman in his field and there's a sincerity and maturity that exceeds previous recent albums. And I do sense a more powerful anointing, especially in the lyrics department.
I do like `How It Used To Be' though it sounds strangely familiar. `I Am God' is on the crossover rock tip. `It Would Take All Day' is sweet enough but not as tasty as `Still In Love' with a 1980s feel, reminiscent of the innocent funk cuts made for radio. The jazz/gospel slow-mo `Chains' sits well in either foreground or background. And throughout the album Kirk's spoken vocals are kept fairly low and are helpfully unobtrusive to proceedings.
Yes, there are several flags that shout `Franklin' at us but this is an extension of the fare one might expect of him. There are some new pointers and ideas, all backed up lyrically and sprinkled with a dusting of sincerity. This is Kirk taking a step back and letting his girlie choir get on with it, with results
- Kirk did it again with this out. The Fight For My Life is by far one of Kirk Franklin's best albums yet. On this album he tells it like it is on "How it use to be", serve the devil notice on "This is it (Declaration)", and lets the church know that they need to get it together on "The Last Jesus." This is truly an album for everyone in the family.

- WOW Gospel is a phenomenal collection of music to uplift and encourage. I would definitely recommend it if you'd like a collection of various artists singing God's praises. You're not stuck to listening to one artist, you have a compilation of music and artists to listen to.
- This has a lot of the newer Gospel sounds. It's great while on the tread mill, but not my personal favorite for praise and worship.
- The songs on this CD were very well selected - Inspirational and uplifting. I loves it.
- I think I have every WOW collection from 2005 on (and I know they were around before that). From the standard WOW to the specialties such as Gospel and Worship, they are inspiring and draw on some of the best contemporary artists in Christian music. This WOW Gospel 2008 has been no exception.
Great selections.
Great artists.
Increased faith.
Need I say more? Be blessed.
- This Cd was very very good. I play it all the time. I love the cd's that represent various.
