5 comments about Elmo's World - Babies, Dogs & More.

  1. My 20 month old grandaughter has turned me into an Elmo fan. The DVD got to me in no time at all.

  2. my child cannot get enough of it! great video, good images of kids and animals.

  3. My daughter has always loved Elmo's World on Sesame Street so this video does not disappoint. She loves animals and babies too so this is a nice treat. I'm glad I bought this video!

  4. Another wonderful Elmo video that my 19-month-old loves! He has so many that I forget what is in the video, but I believe this has the farm portion, which is great!

  5. My 10 month old son especially enjoys the first episode about babies. If you already own Elmo's world pets, the dog episode is the same. One of my son's first words was "dog" from watching this episode.

5 comments about Blue's Clues - Classic Clues.

  1. I bought this DVD after reading some of the reviews here. My 18 month old already has the "Blues Biggest Stories" DVD and loves it. So I thought he'd love this one as well! I was right! He sits for all 4 episodes. It's a great DVD if you favor Steve (since he's in all the episodes) instead of Joe.

A "must get" for your little one!!

  2. danielle...the quintessential blues clue child..well not today...yesterday when she was four...thirteen now and certainly beyond the tape..but not the memories...we enjoyed it together, more for me than danielle..i have a librarian friend ...who once said...every adult once a month should read a book for children...enjoy your teenagers once again...watch blues clues.

  3. This was a life saver on my vaction. I bought 3 blues clues dvds for my daughter to watch on a 7 hour drive and they kept her attention for most of the trip. She now asks to watch Blues Clues at home all of the time.

  4. It's Blue. It's Steve. What more can you say? It's not dated even though the word classic appears in the title. My son watches it over and over. He prefers it over the 10 Year Anniversary collection and I agree.

  5. Blue's Clues is wonderful entertainment for my 19 mos old and my 3 yr old is a fan as well. Many children's shows bore my 3 yr old quickly. This was a wonderful collection of episodes that captures my 3 yr old's attention and holds on to it. It actually got him really excited about going to school. We're not Blues Clues experts, but I'd say this video is definately worth the money! You've gotta love Steve.

5 comments about For the Kids.

  1. My kids love this CD. We listen to it each morning on the way to school.

  2. This is easily my favorite kid's album. My kids have grown with this album, they are now 5 and 7 and it is still their favorite. I'm not even sure how long we've had it - but I think at least 4 years. "The Hoppity Song" has been a family favorite since we bought it. They still scream to play it "one more time!" and I never mind doing so. My son's current favorite is "Snow Day" - he is in school now, after all. I love the mix of rock, folk, and classic kid tunes done with a twist. I recommend this to anyone that came of age as an "alternative" music fan, and is afraid to get children's music. And anyone that grew up with the early days of Sesame Street has to hear the Barenaked Ladies doing "La, La, La" - it still makes my husband and I laugh. BTW, the original is WAY better than the sequels.

  3. This album deserves all the accolades it's received here. It's upbeat, amusing, entertaining, and not cloying. Love The Hoppity Song and La La La La Lemon best, but all tracks are good. Well, perhaps except the last one. Bend Down the Branches seems out of place and a bit pointless to me, but it's short. This CD is definitely good for the whole family.

  4. The songs on this CD are infectious and fun. There is not one annoying song on here. I love Willie the King, Snow Day, and The Hoppity Song the most. IF you're an adult that cringes at the idea of a kids' CD, this is absolutely the one for you!

  5. When this album comes on, our entire family sings and dances. Our youngest started singing "la la la lemon" before she started talking. We've recommended and given to many now-singing families! The entire album is fabulous!

5 comments about Songs in French for Children.

  1. This is a great French CD. I perfect asset to workbook Flip Flop French. My kids use both and have really enjoyed their 'French classes'.

  2. My kids really liked this CD. It was a car-trip favorite. We adults got a little tired of some of the songs, but that shouldn't be a deterrant.

  3. Good product but I would have liked to have had the words to the songs in English and French.

  4. The songs are sung by adult singers, not a children's choir, and the voices are beautiful. That's why I can use the CD for beginning learners of French in a college classroom.
The songs are not just sung, one after the other. They are also a little bit acted out, with the interjection of voices and animal sounds that can be funny, instead of embarassing, to young adults. The CD is not just kids singing children's songs. It has more surprises, is more playful, a bit funny, so that kids and adults can enjoy it.
Good selection of songs. Nothing primitive or basic about it.

  5. I used to be fluent in French 25 years ago and I'm now trying to bring it back from the depths of my brain in order to teach it to my pre-schooler.
This CD is soooo pleasant to listen to that I can't get enough of it. We listen to it in the car and while I'm working at the computer. The songs are so cheerful and catchy that you just have to sing along! I highly recommend it!

5 comments about Blue's Clues - Blue's Big Musical Movie.

  1. What can I say? My boy loves the video & it got here just fine.

  2. I was having a hard time trying to find episodes with Steve for my 23 month old daughter who is a true Blues Clues fan! So I got this DVD.

This is a fantastic movie which involves the regular problem solving part seen in espisodes and much more. Steve and the gang are putting together a show for the neigborhood and they need to get ready for it. Blue needs a singing partner so we play blue's clues to figure out who it should be. Side Table is too shy to say she wants to sing in the show as well and that part of the story is very well portrayed. There are many practical lessons for kids in this about not giving up, how being shy can prevent you from doing what you really want to do, etc. My favorite part is when Steve is trying to make his song and they explain notes, tempo, etc. Very well done!

  3. My kids love to sing and dance to this dvd, we had vhs but man dvd is way better. :)

  4. Love this DVD. It's so entertaining to watch, even for me. My little one absolutely loves this dvd.

  5. my daughter LOVES this video - she sings along with it and quotes it!

5 comments about The Best of Both Worlds Concert (CD + DVD).

  1. Awesome item!! This was a well loved gift. Sure to please any tween or teen. Daughter still plays it over & over again!

  2. The DVD is not worth of anything. My daughte loves Hannah Montan but she did not bother to watch 2nd time.

  3. When you see the DVD that comes out in August, you'll want 3D glasses so be sure and be ready or find the ones you had...just a hint, since some panicky girls didn't have them when that show debuted on television recently.

This particular music and DVD featured on Amazon has only a short DVD. However, the girls I know didn't really care. They loved it anyway. The bottom line for this particular reviewer is that I have to keep that in mind when rating this. From a dollar value or deceptive ad viewpoint, the DVD is not a full concert performance. Consider yourself duly informed.

From the perspective of someone watching some girls having fun listening to the music and watching the short DVD, I'd say it was worth every penny. Your results may vary, depending on your feelings about the music and DVD package and the reactions of Hannah Montana fans in your home.

  4. I bought this Hannah Montana CD for my granddaughter's birthday. She was thrilled. She and her friends spend hours listening to it and dancing and singing to it. It was the perfect choice for her.

  5. My daughter begged me for this the day it came out. Well, I did end up getting it but was very dissapointed with the music and the DVD. The only good song is Rock star. Everything else sounds like edited versions of Hannah songs over screaming teeny bopers. Also don't listen to this really loud. There is one over excited fan that was to close to the recording mic who is screaming her head off! The DVD wasent that great to be honest :(. My daughter was pritty dissapointed overall but hey at least it keeps her quiet on those long car rides :)

5 comments about The Wiggles - Toot Toot!.

  1. What is fun about the Wiggles is that they are a fast action group and my 2-1/2-year-old granddaughter loves to dance with them. If they say move your arms or touch your head, she does! She loves Capt Feathersword and their antics always make her laugh :)

  2. This DVD is really great for kids (and their parents!) The songs are catchy and educational. Good clean entertainment you can count on. Looking forward to buying more of the Wiggles!!

  3. My son loves this DVD....he is always asking for more. He loves the songs and the vivid skits that go with the songs. This DVD is a lot like the Wiggles TV show on Disney Channel so if your child likes the show...they will love this DVD. He is always on his feet dancing when I put this video on. We took a flight to DC this past weekend (6 hours) and when he got fussy I put on this DVD and he calmed down right away and started to dance in his car seat! Great job wiggles!

  4. My son is a Wiggles Fanatic & this is definitely one of his favorites! He is only 18 months and watches it from beginning to end- worth every penny!

  5. A friend recommended this DVD and my daughter loves it. It was a great purchase.

5 comments about WordWorld: Welcome to WordWorld.

  1. I'm a kindergarten teacher and I love this show. My class and I watch WordWorld on PBS everyday after lunch while they take turns going to the restroom. They hate it when we have to turn it off and move on because they see the things they learn in the morning in a cool and fun cartoon. This show is very good about reinforcing topics that we are covering in class, not only has it covered letters and sounds, but it has worked on our rhyming skills and using pictures to help figure out what the words really are. Even my students who have had a difficult time with reading love to "build a word." I would highly recommend these movies to anyone, parents and teachers alike.

  2. This series drove me up the wall...why? Because my 3 year old could not get enough it! Which isn't always a bad thing. He was so engaged with the characters and spelled right along with them.

Definitely worth a try for your preschooler!

  3. We love WordWorld! This program is wonderful! We watch it everymorning on television and then my daugther will watch it on the weekends on dvd! She is starting Kindergarten and she knows all her letters and sounds and can already write in sentences. I will recommend this DVD collection to anyone who asks.

  4. My three-year-old adores this show. After he saw it once, he wanted to watch it every morning, but he usually wakes up after the broadcast. So I purchased this one, and it's great. He's really learning from it -- not just literacy skills, but social skills as well. He often talks about the characters and storylines ("Sh-sh-shark!") and applies the same patterns in his everyday speech, such as isolating the initial sound of a word ("D-D-Daddy? Do you want to p-p-play?"). (No, he doesn't stutter!)

    We highly recommend it!

  5. I have a 23-month old and she loves this cartoon. When it came in the mail, which it came extremely fast, she just sat on the couch and looked at the cover forever stating "ruff ruff", so I put it in and she was running around the house clapping. So I just want to thank you for your fast service and making my daughter smile :-)
