3 comments about Boyz in the Sink.

  1. I love this CD and so does my 3 yr old!! Go boyz in the sink!!!

  2. I bought this item for my six year old nephew who recently got saved at my mom and I church. He has been attending since November 2007 and was in the Christmas Play and now he's saved! I'm thrilled. This is a great CD for children. God Is Bigger Than The Boogie Man is great and Where Is My Hairbrush is so cute. The Bellybutton song is very funny too...my nephew got a kick out of that one!

  3. We love this CD! My son received this CD as a gift from his grandma when he was just over a year old, and we are wearing it out! It's not just his favorite CD, it's mine and my husband's too. My son LOVES to dance to the great beats and fun lyrics. He will point to the CD player to have us put it on. We listen to it almost everyday. We love that the Christian Veggie Tale values are represented in "My Day" and remixed "Bigger than the Boogie Man". "Cheeseburger" is a wonderfuly funny sequel to "My Cheesburger", and Kirk Franklin makes a fun guest appearence with "The Boyz" on two songs. We are hoping "The Boyz" will release another CD soon, but until then we will wear out our copy, get another one and continue to tell people about it! Enjoy!

4 comments about Blue's Clues - Arts & Crafts.

  1. Kids can't seem to help but like Blue and all her friends. They are bright and colorful. The songs are interesting and repeated each episode to make it easy for the children to memorize. The arts and crafts on this tape can easily be replicated at home with your own children.

  2. I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of Blue's Clues. However, what is important is that my son is. HE enjoys it and has learned from this video.

My son can tell you what colors will mix into what colors (red and white make pink) and it was because of this video. He has experimented and learned other combinations since then. Thanks to this video for stimulating his curiousity about colors and mixing colors.

For this reason alone it's worth five stars! However, the whole video is like this, full of learning and great starting points for experimenting and learning more about arts and crafts.

    Very fun.
    Enjoy.

  3. I can not say enough about this series. Steve and Blue are wonderful and they really get my daughter thinking. Socks have never been the same since watching this video.

  4. Blue and Steve continue to let kids learn, play and smile in this video

1 comments about House Construction Ahead.

  1. My children and I were first introduced to the "construction ahead" series with this video -- rented initially from our local library and then purchased so other kids in town would have a chance, too. It features outstanding footage of all steps in the construction of a house, including lumber harvesting and of course the series's trademark: blasting. My children and I were delighted all 743 times we watched it. It appealed from age 2 to age 7 and counting ...

5 comments about Ukelele Lady.

  1. I bought this CD for my daughter and found the songs funny and charming in a sort of retro-hip way. It's very upbeat and a great alternative to those tired, annoying cds for kids.

The songs are more sophisticated than, for example, those offered by "the purple beast," but not so much so that kids wouldn't "get it." I can see not being in the mood for this all the time, but that's true for any CD, especially those for kids.

Another reviewer seems to have a lot of hostility about this CD for no reason I can see...it sounds like a personal problem. Seriously, dude, it's for kids....

  2. I read the other reviewer who seems to want to embarrass a wonderfully gifted artist like miss Jackson by running their scathing review of her CD over and over and over again. To that reviewer I say....you can stop now.....we get the point. So now you get this point. What we have here is a kind, gentle, and loving spirit who sees so much darkness in the world and wants to spread some sunshine with her feel good approach to entertainment. This comes at a time when vulgarity and smut seems to be the only formula for success. I am a professional musician and entertainer and I've worked with the biggest names in showbiz....and yes many of them sang off key. (Sonny and Cher come to mind and we loved them)! You see a great entertainer is one who can take you to a place that allows you to forget your troubles and make you want to just keep smiling and grinning. Miss Jackson does that with style and grace. She is a first rate class act and I for one am proud of her. So there!

  3. The moment you hear her,
    1. You will know she sings off key.
    2. You will totally fall in love with her.
    3. You will be taken in completely with her charm.

And I don't need to list this review 12 times just to slant the rating average.

  4. If you liked Mitch Miller's awful sing-a-long lp's in the 50's, you'll love this CD, where Victoria Jackson sings more often out of key, then in. Bad arangements and cheezy back up singers, amount to only so much muzak. This CD is insulting to me(not to mention very tacky sounding), because I am someone who thinks that the 20's style JAZZ Ukelele player/singer needs to be preserved(the music of Cliff Edwards, et. al.). One person who is doing it very well in the 20's tradition is Janet Klein & Her Parlor Boys, she can play the Uke(I don't mean Hawaiian style, I mean ragtime, and jazz) and she sings in the Annette Hanshaw, and Jane Green tradition. [...]

  5. We love this tape! Makes you want to go out and buy a ukulele! The choice of songs are a breathe of fresh air from the standard kid's music fare. Ms. Jackson's tunes are guaranteed to put you in a good mood! Thanks Ukulele Lady.

  1. Welles, Goddard, Hitchcock. These names are thought of when one discusses the topic of great film directors. To me, the unnamed person behind the lens of Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen - Our First Video deserves to be added to the list.
Here, in their first video, we see the origin of MK and Ashley. It's incredibly interesting, knowing them as we now do, going back and seeing how they were in the beginning. The singing, the dancing and the merrymaking all add up to an incredibly rewarding watch. Songs like "I Am The Cute One" and "No One Tells The President What To Do" are filled with as much meaning and passion as one could muster at that age. In fact, I'd say they evoked more of the aforementioned passion than many adults could have done.
The director coaxes wonderful performances from the girl. And, his shunning of off-kilter, odd camera angles in favor of straight ahead, stationary ones put more focus on what the Olsen's are doing than he is. The subtle camera work is a welcome part of the video.
This is a wonderful film deserving of you're attention. It's easy to see from what's on film here that these girls would go on to make qualtiy films like New York Minute and The Case of the Fun House Mystery.

  2. This is a really annoying video. So what is the impossible goal this time, brains suregons, rocket scientists, getting a decent hairstyle on their heads. The've done it all,BUT WAIT, now their ballerinas!!! they start off as their normal ditzy annoying selves and then break into a corny song, pack an ugly suitcase with what appears to be 9 cheap turtle-neck sweaters and a few tu-tus. they inocently and magically (big suprise there) quietly STOW-AWAY on an innocent bystanding North-West airplane and get kicked off in mid-air just in time to land in a soft,CUSHIONED (another suprise) carrige and continue their song.then after literlly shoving an old woman out of the way they break into a ballet preformance hall (where genius mary-kate asks "are we supposed to be in here")were a stalker-like creep named samara (just kidding) "danniel" greets them agressivley and knows more about thier plans then they do. then they stupidly follow her into a cheesey dance studio where two of their freinds are already being held captive ooooooopppppsssssssss i mean learing ballet. then they break into songs agian, this time something about sweating like a pig. then they go meet two of and probably ONLY of daniels freinds, an ugly looking ostrich like ballerina named piqua and her homosexual freind named alfonzo-sassycatcrudcake. Then they break into ANOTHER SONG(man these suprises are non-ending,geeze,i am constantly suprised!), this song is about big ugly bunion feet. and how much it hurts to have big ugly bunion feet like they do (and off course the olsen twins just HAVE to be wwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaayyyy in front and thier cheesey freinds wwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy in the back were the termites are more visible. then they whine about thier cheap ballet slippers, okay moving on. the twins go to a park and performe there oh so neccesary ballet entitled "goose inohso tragic sesuire"where they (you geussed it-HAVE IDENTICAL,MATCHING SESUIRES!) then the stupid ballerinas and ballerinos whine about being nervous but off course the physciatrists mary-kate and ashley are here to help. during this song they tell corny jokes where the adult actors have to panfully fake laughs and then than the girls for helping (which they didn't, the actors were being polite). Thenit's time for the BIG preformaance where you see more extras people stuffing themselves with sassy-cat crud cakes and the twins waving thier arms around like they are on drugs than ballet. Then the girls MUST close the show so they preform a cheaply coroigraphied ballet. overall i guess this movies budget was like what 5, 6 bucks tops? don't get this unless you can also afford the ballet lessons and ugly tu-tus your child will want as soon as the included sesuier pill wears off. wanna buy it, your choice!

  3. I was blessed to be a co-star with the twins and this one was a hoot! I played the part of "Monica" and I must say it was fun from beginning to end. The twins were wonderful to work with - check it out!

  4. I was at a friend's house one day, and her little sister started watching this. During one song, "Sore Feet," Mary-Kate stuck her leg out, and TRIPPED the ballet teacher. That's a really STUPID thing to do in a kid's movie.

  5. Its O.K. I just got through renting it from the library and waching it. Wouldnt wach it again. I am VERY glad I didnt BUY it. If I did, i'd give it to Mrs.Luc, my 4th grade science teacher (Im going to be in 5th grade). Dont buy it. Its the worst movie the Olsen twins have EVER done. Trust me, Im a HUGE Olsen fan. Dont think because this movie is not very interesting the other Olsen movies are bad cause theyre THE BEST. I wouldnt want to be one of those idiotic jerks who dont like the Olsen twins. This one's not much of a mystery; more of all about volcanoes.
