1 comments about Maya & Miguel - Funny Fix Ups.

  1. I recently bought this DVD a couple of weeks ago at Best Buy. Anyway, on the back label, it said that the episode "Teacher's Pet" was on it. It wasn't. The episode "The Autograph" was on it instead. But "The Autograph is on the other Maya and Miguel DVD just like it says! I just wanted everyone to be aware of this mistake.

5 comments about The Land Before Time V - The Mysterious Island.

  1. I only saw this movie because of Chomper's return. I'm a Chomper addict. Although I don't think this movie had even close to the amount of Chomper needed, I have to say it was a well-done movie. No, it doesn't hold a candle to the original Land Before Time or the second one, but it still deals with a sensitive and possibly disturbing dilemma (the Sharpteeth's eating of the other dinosaurs) in a mature way.

Chomper talks--I wasn't really expecting that. But it was adorable and I love him! He even sings! Eee!

I wasn't disappointed with this movie (I mean, I gave it four stars), but I wasn't too thrilled. More Chomper and it would've been perfect.

  2. My son, now three, loves this series beyond all others. This one in particular, due to the songs. 'Big Water' is one of those songs that he will just start singing, out of the blue, weeks after the last time he viewed the movie. Good stuff. As with all movies, watch with your kids. This one has some name-calling dialogue in it that I always point out as inappropriate.

  3. chomper is back in land before time 5 the mysterious island after along awaited return i love the songs in this move

  4. It is cute, but it's nothing exciteing. I like the fact that they have his parents purr like cats. (Carnivores rock!)

  5. What is the pure trash? I was just starting to get back into LBT but when my cousins brought me this corny DVD, I just watched with my mouth hung open. Curse you Charles Grossverner or whatever your retarted name is!!!!

5 comments about Frosty Returns.

  1. Okay. Sat down to watch this for the first time with my son figuring that it would be good ole' Frosty with a new storyline. Wrong. We got about 5 minutes into it and I realized that someone had hi-jacked a kids character and storyline and replaced it with greeny, pagan propaganda. First, one of the little boys says "Let's go outside and make a fertility goddess". I'm like.....what the.....what the ....what is this doing in a kids Christmas time animated classic? Then the fact that Frosty doesn't need his magic hat anymore. Then the obvious corporate knocking message about a snow eliminating spray. That was it. Turned it off and instead put in the original Rankin-Bass classic. This one is going to get hung in the window as a sun catcher, that is all it is good for.

  2. I was disappointed when I saw how it had nothing to do with the lovable Original classic. I thought maybe its my maturity setting in - but my 3 and 2 year old basically gave this a bad review - they walked off after a few minutes into the story - too uninterested. I think the target audience is wrong in this one. The makers are trying way too hard to incorporate political issues at a time when all kids just want to see kid stuff!

  3. I wish I had never seen this. I didn't realize it wasn't a follow up to the original Frosty. It's a shame it was done by the same person who gave us the charming Peanuts classics.

  4. Narration is OK but the story is weak and the songs are brilliantly unremarkable. I cringed when I watched this with my son. I admit I grew up with the original show with Jimmy Durante narrating and the title song a well written classic, rather than a lame paean to 1990's PC themes. This is probably inevitable in that you unfortunately can't re-make something from that era with the same innocence and feel: not in an era where Christmas has become lifeless. Oops! I said Christmas, I meant Happy Holidays!

  5. I just watched this sad excuse for a cartoon for the first time after viewing the original classic Frosty the Snowman. All I could think was is this country in trouble. Simply put the movie was worse than anything I could have ever imagined. It is an insult to the original cartoon. This is the result you get when left wing communist atheists attempt to destroy our American culture and traditions. How often do you hear any commercials on television or radio mention Christmas anymore? The term Christmas is practically banned from the public airwaves. I say boycott any business that refuses to use the term Christmas in their advertising. Thank god there are some of us old enough to remember what this country and it's traditions use to be like. It was at one time the greatest country in the world, currently being destroyed by the communist enemy within. I fear for the future of this Country. And in closing I must add, who ever heard of a winter carnival? I can say with confidence that this cartoon caused Jimmy Durante to turn over in his grave. An absolute disgrace.

5 comments about ROCKABYE BABY! LULLABY RENDITIONS OF BOB MARLEY (CD).

  1. What a great way to introduce a child to music I like...lullaby versions of Bob Marley. I stopped short of 5 stars because some of the songs are not readily identifiable. But I plan to get the lullaby cd of Jimmy Buffett too.

  2. My son had an affinity to reggae since he was born, I put it on and he falls asleep to it. This c.d. is very cute and peaceful. Nice versions of classic Marley.

  3. My wife and I love this CD, and our little girl has taken a liking to it as well. We have the whole CD in our iPod playlist right near her crib. Great tunes, and mom and dad get to sing to themselves!

  4. If you love Bob Marley, you will love this cd! I might like it better than my LO. LOL It is very soft and soothing, but you can still tell what the songs are.

  5. I'm a new parent and this CD is something we can both agree on. I highly recommend this product as a great alternative to traditional baby lullabies, of which I can only hear over and over so many times...

  1. Joanie Bartels has a unique knack for making the listener of this album want to hear it over and over. Her smooth as silk voice does not get tiresome nor do the simple yet catchy tunes she croons to.
Our whole family loves to sing the Cadilac song even without the cd playing.
It is a whole lot of fun to listen to and is one of our kids most favorite.
    Highly recommended.
