5 comments about Animal Folk Songs for Children.
- I picked up this CD when I met Peggy Seeger a number of years ago. I was doing research on her mother Ruth Seeger at the time. Little did I know that ten years later my own daughter would love these songs. She dances and sings to them. Her favorite are "Mr. Rabbit", "Raccoon and Possum", "Snake Baked a Hoecake", "Little Rooster", and... Okay, she loves almost all of them. LOL
I highly recommend this CD.
- My two nephews love these CDs, they listen to them all the time! The songs are very cute and there's a nice rhythm to the songs which I think little kids are drawn to.
- My fifth wife and our youngster really find this double disc set a special treat on our travels. Chad gets a kick out of our gleeful singing and even makes animal sounds to go along with the cute lyrics to these fun songs. I am particularly taken with song four from disc one, but am a tad alarmed by the trio (songs 17, 18, and 19) of tunes on disc two. 'Swapping' really got me into some hot water with wife number four. Nevertheless, these are fun folk songs and excellent for those long cross country trips in the beat up Volkswagon Van!!
- We were traveling for a year and this collection came with us. It was endlessly entertaining, great to sing along with, and listened to with pleasure by both kids and adults. Any folk musician interested in the history of folk music would also love this collection.
- By far our family's favorite album, with the Rooster song as favorite song. Anyone who hears it will campaign to have it replace Old MacDonald.

5 comments about The Land Before Time II - The Great Valley Adventure.
- You are just going to love "Chomper". What a delightful little fellow despite being a baby sharptooth. How "our" little guys win over the B-I-G sharptooths is a wonderful story for all.
- This is one of the greatest Land Before Time Movies in the series. My daughter is two and a half and she can't get enough of this one! She wants to watch it over and over again, she just loves how it is about a little baby egg and wants the bad dinosaurs to give it back. Great movie, I recommend this to everyone!
- My 6 and 7 year old daughters really liked the movie. But my four year old is waking up every night now having nightmares about T-Rex hunting her. Those T-Rex were too realistic. If the movie had been rated PG my rating would have been higher. So please be careful with your little ones. Kids under 6 can not distinguish between fiction and reality!!!
- I am 13 and I own 1-8 of the series. As you have seen in my other reviews, I kept saying that the 7th one was the best. That's because it is true! Sure, the first one was nice, but very intense and Cera was really stupid in the first one. I liked the song in the credits. I am glad universal had one of Dianna Ross's songs in the first one. I used to love Chomper! I still think he's adorable, but I don't enjoy him as much.
So, about the movie, I think this is good, but they make some of the charcters, (like Ozzie and Strut) very stupid. I think the only charcter out this whole series that had a good role, was Petrie. I wish he had better grammer though, he would be a lot cuter. I think once they made the 8th one, things started getting out of hand. I really they still plan to keep The Land Before Time Spirit alive, if not, then maybe they should let new people in with new visons, new ideas, and so on...........
I hope so much Pterano and Allie come back in the future realses. (Next to Petrie, Pterano rocked! Go Micheal York!) Okay I am done now. I would suggust if you gave a family over 8 do not buy this.
- it maybe #2 in the serize but its #1 to me i love chomper i have 2 stufed littlefoots and 1 stufed chomers and 2 plasic chompers
ps..... i love all the land before times and im 10

1 comments about Kids Sing for Jesus - Catholic Songs for Little Ones.
- I teach 7 year olds preparing for first communion, and they love these songs. The words are easy to learn, the melodies are simple, and the movements are a lot of fun. It's nice to see them enjoying class. Some of the songs really are very pretty too.

5 comments about Dr. Seuss's ABC.
- My son is autistic and loves the Dr. Seuss series. The ABC video is one of his favorites.
- This is one of my kids favorite dvd's. They love learning there abc's with this dvd.
- Somehow, I thought I remembered most of the Dr. Seuss stories being interesting animations from the 1960s, when I was a child. However, I now realize that only a few proper animations were created (like The Grinch Who Stole Christmas). This DVD is an overpriced, underproduced waste of time. It is merely the illustrations from the books brought to life - poorly. The movements are jerky and silly, the voiceovers are embarassing, and it captures my 3 year old twins imagination about as much as a blank screen. They LOVE the equivalent books, and we read them constantly. They are NOT interested in these amateurish renderings (which at times look like cut and paste silliness like Terry Gilliam of Monty Python fame). If a three year old can tell the difference, then you will too. Even though the animation is limited, in the "Ken Burns" style or worse, the DVD compression is lousy with tons of visible artifacts all over the images. Do yourself and your kids a favor and buy the real books. Random House and Sony Wonder - whose logos introduce these productions - should be ashamed to market such inferior nonsense.
- I am amazed. My 2 year old has watched this about 10 times now in the last 2 weeks and loves it. This was the first introduction he had to little and big letters as well as the ABC song. He not only now names each and every letter, big or little, but also is inspired to recite word for word the entire ABC book. I never would have thought he would learn so much from this video. This past week, he has also been empowered to look anew at his books and really is learning so much so sudden. I am in awe of the folks who put this video together and got it so right.
- This disk is very safe for kids to watch. It is animated and very calming. A very good addition to a child's dvd library.

4 comments about Town Around the Bend.
- I am the Director of a preschool in Seattle. Our 3,4 and 5 year olds are obsessed with this album, and even the teachers happily listen to it every day during naptime. It's a crowd putter-to-sleeper, and therefore a crowd pleaser!
- Yup, that's every night. And sometimes during the day, too. He sings along, jumps around to the music, cuddles into bed and just listens to the stories. How can you beat that?
- We waited a LOnnnnnggg time for another Bill Harley album. We can't get enough. Funny, warm, the kids love him, I love him...we wish he lived next door!
I really hope Bill gets a Grammy for this one. This is a toned down mood in comparison to some of his other more exuberant stuff, but the charisma still shines through. Caution...don't listen while driving, you might run off the road!
- Bill Harley is a very talented guy, and he does a great job here with a nighttime CD. The stories are kind of strange sometimes, but they are very calm and gently amusing. I really like the song Look Out Your Window- it's very nice. More importantly, my 8 and 5 year old kids love this CD and fall asleep listening to it.
