5 comments about Baby Einstein - Baby Bach - Musical Adventure.
- This dvd is pretty good. It's not as good as the Baby Mozart, but it's not bad either. My son will watch it, but I have to keep directing his attention back to it at times. The music is not as peppy as the Baby Mozart, but Baby Bach is still musical in nature-making it better than all of the other Baby Einstein dvd's we have with the exception of Baby Mozart.
- This is a wonderful gift for a new baby -- the music lulls them to sleep, and by the time they reach the ripe old age of 3 months, they will be watching the TV as the shapes go with the music! I wish these had been around when my kids were babies!
- My 10 month old daughter loves this video and Amazon got it to me in two days! Excellent.
- I just love the music and colors. My son just stares and i get house chores done while he is mesmorized.
- I watched this dvd with my 11 month old. It was ok, but she didn't seem as interested in it as the other Baby Einstein movies that we have. It just didn't grab her attention like some of the others.

5 comments about Halloween Howls.
- I got this cd to play in my son's preschool class. All the kids learned one or two of the songs (the teacher had them practice). There are some new very catchy songs and some old favorites (like Monster Mash). I like the cd because it has a very wide age appropriate range.
- This is excellent music for young children to get into the Halloween spirit. It is not scary for my 4-year old boys. They requested this more than any other Halloween music. Even after listening to it over and over and over again, I still don't mind it, either! I know that other reviewers preferred that the Ghostbusters song had been left out, but it is one of our favorites. I also liked hearing David Cassidy's voice on a few songs, too.
- I checked this cd out at the library, and it is the best Halloween cd ever. It has super cute songs that you will actually like listening to. I've bought a lot of Halloween music before, but this is by the far the best. Buy it and enjoy it with your kids!
- Most of the songs in this cd will help to create the Halloween atmosphere during our coming party. The first song sound haunting which put one in the mood.
- This is a wonderful CD to play during the Halloween season. My children enjoyed it as we traveled in the car and now I give it to my nephews and families with young children. The provider did not package them well enough and one was broken. Unfortunately, the case was intact so I gave it as a gift not knowing the CD was broken. My sister-in-law had to tell me. Since I didn't have the product in hand, I was unable to return it for a new one or refund. That would make me hestiant to buy something like this again from Amazon.com.

5 comments about LazyTown - New Superhero.
- This DVD is great! The first episode is the longest with two shorter ones to follow and they are great entertainment for my son. Both episodes have great tunes that my 2 year old has completely memorized. It is actually entertaining for the whole family!
- I'm not sure where my toddlers first learned about Lazytown, but it's a nice swith from the normal pre-school cartoons they normally watch. I wasn't sure they'd really follow the story, but now they totally do push-ups like "Sportacus" and sing and dance like Stephanie. Lazytown has 3 real people on an animated sets with puppets. I honestly didn't think the DVDs would motivate kids to exercise like other people say they will, but apparently they really do and they're entertaining to watch!
- Lazytown, takes a high action crack at Children and healthy lifestyle, and makes a new market in educational children's media! Finally a show that's tackling the issues!
Lazytown, is a children's television show adapted from a successful play from Iceland. Icelandic gymnast and role model Magnús Scheving, conceived Lazytown as an effort to combat obesity, and inactivity in kids. The show has been globally sucessful; in the Uniyed States it has landed primary slots on Nickelodeon channels, and CBS Saturday morning programming. The themes of the show are very positive and attractive to children. The shows target audience age is 4-7.
The plot involves main character Stephanie visiting her uncle in Lazytown. Upon arrived she displeased with laziness and negativity of the town and tries to encourage change. Stephanie is a very attractive character for young girls. She promotes gender stereotypes with her pink hair and matching feminie accessories. She also has many singing breaks, and dance modeled like a pop star music video. Her dance moves resemble aerobics and often start to involve the whole town in exercise fashion. The superhero of Lazytown, is Sportacus (played by Magnús Scheving). He immediately agrees with Stephanie about making a change. Sportacus is naturally the admirable character for boys. He wears a blue jumpsuit, and is excellent in every sport. He uses gymnastics to get from place to place. The antagonist is Robbie Rotten, who employs all the schema of cartoon villany, right down to the evil laugh. Robbie uses temptation to align the townpeople to his side of laziness, selfishness, junkfood, and trouble. The townspeople are of diverse gender and ethnicity. Each have their vices, which make up most of their personality. The ones with most appearances are Stingy (selfish), Ziggy (candy), Trixie (mischeif), Pixel (Video Games). Through misadventures all the townspeople overcome Robbie Rotten's temptation and learn moderation and healthy lifestyle tips from Stephanie and Sportacus. Parents can use the townspeople and their lessons in moderation as an example for their own children. I witness my own cousin turn off video games saying he played too long, and referenced a plot from the show.
The only live action characters in the show are Stephanie, Sportacus, and Robbie Rotten, which give them grave importance in a show with CGI background and puppet supporting characters. The show uses lighiting fast jump cuts, and speed up motion speeds, sublimnally expressing high activity. The shows techno music and bright colors, seemingly raises pulses in kids. Watching this program with my younger cousins, it wasn't long before they were jumping along with the program. The uses of editing to evoke this reaction helps with the overall goal of the program. The catchy pop songs in every show usually have lyrics that push the shows moral.
There isnt any commercialism in the show, which is a breath of fresh-air. The only thing show seems to endorse is "Sport Candy", which is just fruits and vegetables. The continue use of the "Sport Candy" phrases makes me think that they could use it to appear on a brand of fruit and vegetables, however there is no blantant brand marketing. For a show, with a classic good vs. evil theme, there is no violence whatsoever. Robbie Rotten is usually defeated after losing in some physical game or activity. He often gets tired and retreats home. I enjoyed the lack of pain, and humilation in the show. The viewer still understand the Good has conquered evil without anyone getting hurt emotionally or physically. The cicrumstances are usually realistic, with common consequences. However, Sportacus numerous acrobatics don't frequently come with a "Im a professional, don't try this at home" disclaimer.
I enjoyed my viewing of Lazytown, and find the use of plot, characters, and setting a lot more effective in encourage activity, than the surrealism of Boohbah. I think as long as Lazytown, stays true to mission, and doesn't surrender to branding and heavy merchandising, it will do a lot of good. I commend Magnús Scheving for his endeavors. The show is needed, as physical education slowly declines in schools.
- I absolutely love this show. It's an execellent diversion to the real world. I'm sure kids adore it but I do as well. I recommend this show to parents and kids. It's actually tolerable compared to Max and Ruby and Wonderpets. So parents pick up or rather you'd endure some of the more less tolerable shows.
- This show is okay for little kids I guess. But it's really stupid when you get a little older. Why would anyone want to do 5,000,000 flips instead of taking one little step? Why does Robby Rotten care if they are active? I f he doesn't want to hear the noise he can just move to a quiet town or move to a house in the middle of nowhere. And Stephanie is so perfect. And she acts so stupid and she's always so happy. Why are little kid shows always in a perfect land where nothing bad ever happens? They should have at least one show in the real world. I know that that wouldn't be a very good show for little kids or maybe basically everyone but that's probobly making little kids think that we live in a wonderfuly perfect world where nothing bad ever happens. And in some shows they have talking animals which can make little kids think that animals really do talk. So in Dora the Explorer parents may think it's a good show for their kids to watch because you learn shapes, spanish, and counting but it can also be bad because it might make little kids think that animals can talk like humans. Who knows? Next time you go to the zoo your kid might try to put a pair of red boots on a monkey then starts talking to it, and refuse to leave. Then the next thing you know you get kicked out and can never go back. Okay so that probobly will never happen but I'm just trying to make a point. Back to Lazy Town. I think that sometimes Robby Rotten gets to scary. I would think that little kids would be afraid of him. Trixie is the most pointless character. She's hardly ever in the show. They probobly just have her in the show because they thought little kids would complain if Stephanie was the only girl in the whole show. Why does Sportacaus's thing that tells him when someone is in trouble only go off every once in a while? If it was in the real world it would never stop going off. And in the episode where Robby Rotten swiches Sportacaus's shoes with ones that he controls wouldn't they notice that the shoes are blinking? And if they really had eyes then they would see that Robby Rotten's discuises are really just him. It's sooooo obvious. You can see his face! Why don't they see that? They sing songs about everything. It's really annoying. And they dance so stupidly. Why does Robby Rotten want to get rid of Sportacaus? Who cares if the kids are active? If it's to loud then get used to it or move! It's not that big of a deal! Who cares!

5 comments about The Wiggles - Yummy Yummy.
- This is a fun video. I think there is still a little too much dialoge in it but still worth buying.
- This was actually owned by my now 7 year old knephew who always asked for it when he was only 1 & a half till about the age of 3 when he discovered "real dinosuars", then handed down to my 1.5 year old twins by request... THEY LOVE IT! the songs are catchy, the moves are catchy, all the colors, songs and dancing keep my twin pre-tods entertained, and not just sitting staring at the TV, but up and moving along to the songs dancing and shaking, laughing and smiling. Though I can see how other parents may get annoyed or creeped out by the puppets (only on two songs), my boys are facinated by them and think the jumping crab is hillarious (which is pretty much the point, to entertain them, not me, though with my backround in Ped's Nursing and as a Teacher in a Child Development Center, Im usually up and dancing along, its just in me to be a big kid).
I'm not to fond of some of the other Wiggle DVD's but this one is a regularly played one... Plus, Dad can actually tolerate this one, which is RARE, and dance with his kids(needless to say, he gets a workout too)
I'm not big on "TV for young minds" but this truly is a workout video for little ones, they're not just staring into the TV with that blank look on thier face, they're up and doing gross motor, moving all the parts of thier body (age appropriate developmental skills perfect for this age!) which is also always a nice change from the everyday routines.
- I was a little disappointed with the quality of this DVD (not the tape quality but the Wiggles quality). It was shorter than the other ones, and not up to the standard of their other stuff. Several times the lips didn't even synch with the talking. That being said, my undiscerning 3 year old still loves it and it is a favourite DVD in our house. Worth owning if you have one of the others and want another. I would get "Wiggle Time" as a first purchase.
- This DVD would get higher reviews if it didn't have those CREEPY puppets on it. The puppet segments are more like an acid trip.
Other than that- it's cute- but I CAN'T get past the puppets. EEEK!
My daughter (20 months old), however, seems to enjoy it all so I guess that's all that matters.
- Fun songs and lots of Wiggle energy. My major complaint is the puppets. There are two songs that are preformed by clay puppets. My daughter is scared of them and cries. We are forced to fast forward through those tracks which is annoying. Otherwise another Wiggle classic.

2 comments about Teletubbies - What's That.
- I like this Teletubbies DVD because it includes some educational content: counting, colors, size (big/small). My son loves ALL the Teletubbies DVDs, so I'm just happy to have one with a little bit of learning.
- We only have one Teletubby DVD, so I can't compare it to the many others. My 13-month-old loves the TV show so we got her this mainly to keep her happy when we go on trips. She loves the usual Tubby stuff: changing color screen with various numbers of Tubbies learning up, down, big and small. And the live action sequences are very good. The kids in Taiwan with their parachute, the Russian girl with her dogs and the East Indian woman telling a story all hold her attention. But the actual "What's That?" sequence with the periscope, endlessly ringing bells over and over - which then stop with no explanation of what they were, after all the Teletubbies have gathered near it one by one to say "What's That?" repeatedly... what WAS that?! But the "What color is Tubby custard?" sequence is great fun, as is the familiar sequence of Tubbies with their favorite things. My daughter loves it and that's what counts!

5 comments about Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
- I bought this for my 3 year old daughter. She absolutely LOVES it. I don't mind listening to it often--the songs aren't annoying. We played this CD during her birthday party and all the kids loved it.
- I bought the CD as my one year old had fallen in love with the "Hot Dog" song at the conclusion of each Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episode. Needless to say our one year old is delighted with our purchase!
- well as a parent i don't like it obviously... there is nothing wrong with it.. just boring.. but my daughter gets a kick out of the cd and she's only 2..
- I bought this as a gift for my little grandson and he enjoys it very much.
- I have a 2 yr old and 4 yr old who really enjoy the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse tv show. They especially love the music, before buying this I was concerned that some of the songs might not sound the same as on the show. We opened it and it has all of the same songs. My 2 yr old especially likes it, it's great for car rides, etc.

5 comments about Meteor & the Mighty Monster Trucks, Vol. 2.
- You will not be disappointed with the further adventures of Meteor and his friends. This DVD deals with a lot of things that are similar to Vol. 1, except this one handles issues such as: being fair, teasing, and general concepts about how we should treat other people. This disc (Vol. 2) includes the following episodes:
* Cheering section
* Tag along
* Trucktacular truckathon
* Rebel rover
* Hang time
* Bathtime for Junkboy
- My little boy loves this show on Discovery Kids. It shows kid monster trucks getting into trouble and learning life lessons. This is the only cartoon he watches. He also loves the music when the show comes on. This is a great DVD for little boys. My daughters like it too. But, are not that intrested in it as he is.
- My 3 year old son is crazy over Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks. I find myself engrossed in the cartoons over and over. We watch at least one episode every night and he spends hours pretending his toy trucks are Meteor, L.T., and the rest of the gang. The videos are, as I said, entertaining and deliver positive messages. Each video (volumes 1 and 2) contains six 10 minute episodes. This volume has "Cheering Section" where kids learn the importance of being a good sport, "Tag Along" where L.T. has to spend time with his sister, Zooey, who spends the day copying him. He learns that imitation is the best form of flattery. "Trucktacular Truckathon" illustrates the importance of teamwork even if your "team" isn't what you expected. In "Rebel Rover" Meteor rebels when he is called the teacher's pet and discovers not all attention is positive. By breaking the rules and breaking into the junkyard in "Hang Time", the gang finds out that part of being a "big truck" is understanding the importance of rules. And in my personal favorite, "Bathtime for Junkboy", Junkboy overcomes his fear of bathing and finds out it's not so bad after all.
- My son recently discovered this show on TV, and he loves it so much that I bought the first two volumes on DVD so he could watch it on the car DVD player. This show never gets old to him! He loves it. And it's actually one of the few cartoons that I can stand to watch! Funny, great graphics, and very cute!!
- Great videos once I recived them over a month later. I am not sure if I will ever use this site again.....

- The DVD is okay. After two songs, though, my 17 month old was bored and lost interest.
- This DVD is great my two toddler boys love all the sing alongs on it. I think more Thomas DVD's should be like this one. The stories are great, but what my kids look forward to is the music. Great DVD for all Thomas & Friends fans.

5 comments about Thomas and Friends - Thomas' Halloween Adventures (with Toy).
- My son absolutely loves Thomas! This is one of his favorites. As always, there is a moral to each story. Not only does he have fun watching, but he learns something too. He watches this one over and over! The Halloween train that comes with the DVD was a huge bonus for him!
- My 3 year old son loved this video and the toy train - I bought it back around Halloween and have since bought the Ultimate Christmas, Calling All Engines, Track Stars, Thomas and the Magic Railroad, and Tales from the Track. We love them all - Calling All Engines is his DVD of choice lately. The Magic Railroad is a great full length movie with Alec Baldwin and Peter Fonda which ties the Island of Sodor to our world. We have yet to be disappointed in our Thomas purchases! Enjoy!!
- We enjoyed all the stories and "Boo Boo Choo Choo" but my kid was a little scared watching it...Better for the older Thomas fan!
- I saw this product and decided to pick it up for my grandchildren. Little did I know it would become their favorite Thomas episodes! They are still watching it now. This is definetely a favorite of theirs!
- I purchased this DVD as a Halloween treat for my 3 year old son.
He absolutely loves it, so much so that we almost missed the start of trick or treating. He sang the song Boo Boo Choo Choo for all of our neighbors when he went to their houses to get candy. I would definately recommend this DVD to anyone who has a Thomas fan in their house.

5 comments about Jack's Big Music Show, Season 1.
- I bought this CD on the reviews I read. It turned out to be a fun and lively CD we play when my Grandson is eating. He dances to it and claps and laughs. It was a very good choice and different music from the normal children songs.
- I found JBMS on Noggin last December and *I* loved it!!!! I hoped my son (then 15 mos) would be into it too...and he was!! And still is! Jack, Mary and Mel have literally been in our house every day, ever since! Whether it's VOD or playing this CD (on our iPod, every night, to get to sleep!)...my son loves it, I love it and the artists are grand. WONDERFUL show and music!!
- Because Jack's Big Music Show is eternal....you will love having a copy in your home so that anytime you want to see wonderful Cathy Richardson play her guitar, sing, and act...you got it! I am a huge blues fan and this girl is the real deal. I can't wait to see her live someday. Of course all of the other players are just as great! Jack, Mary and his cool DOG!!!
I love this DVD as much as the 6 year old.
More Jack's Big Music Show Please!!!
- I bought this for my daughter but I have to admit I wanted it for the song Grumpy - I LOVE that song. We're both big fans of the music played on Jack's Big Music Show and she sings them all day long at work. Definately a plus to have on long trips!
- Great for kids of all ages on long car trips when they are stuck it the seat and need something to keep them entertained. Not to "sicky sweet" for adults to listen to also.
