5 comments about Singable Songs For The Very Young: Great With A Peanut-Butter Sandwich.
- I had this music for my kids, back in the 1980's and loved it then! I still have the old cassette tape, so I ordered the CD for my grandson. My kids still know the songs and were singing along to the CD. Just cute, fun songs, great for in the car or for play time.
- My kids LOVED this cd when they were little and it only came on a cassette tape! When my middle daughter became a "Nanny" for several families, we created a "Nanny Bag" with books, toys and music. This CD was an essential ingredient! Raffi's songs ARE singable, the music is fun and his voice is soothing and encourages you to SING ALONG!!! My kids loved it, and so will your little ones!
- If you have preschoolers and haven't yet been introduced to Raffi ... where have you been?! This is a great place to start with many favorites of my girls (2 & 4). Every song is perfect for singing around the campfire. And, yes, I like it too!
- The songs are wonderful and very fun! When played in the car, it makes everyone laugh and sing along
- My three year old twin nephews enjoy this cd as much as my own daughters did (who are now in their twenties). Raffi's music is timeless. He is a master musician on all levels, and will get parents humming and toe-tapping right along with their children. Raffi captures both the joy of childhood and the joy of music. Bravo!

5 comments about Wee Sing:Grandpa's Magical Toys.
- the tape was in good condition and it is so loved by everyone of my grandchildren ...all ages....even me. It has been played numerous times and still going strong.
- a favorite for keeping the children entertained. Old favorites bring back a lot of memories to share with new generation of children
- My Granddaughters (twins) are 19 months old and love this movieWee Sing:Grandpa's Magical Toys. The kids in my preschool class loved it too. It is a great movie for kids.
- Very fun Children's DVD with lots of songs from year's past (many I recall from my own childhood). It is a joy to listen to and watch for any age children. And parents, you'll probably be singing along with many of the songs. It is simple, yet creative. Reminds me a little of the old show "Patches & Pockets" where the toys come to life (but not quite so silly). My 3 1/2 year old just loves it and it captures the attention of my 9 month old. She watches intensely & bounces (her version of dancing) to the songs.
- tastes are different, but I don't like this video. Not profeccional and cheap and not interested.

5 comments about Groove to the Music.
- My daughter and I love song #4, Super Rad. All of the songs are very catchy with clever lyrics and a fun beat. Always puts us in a happy mood. We love the Backyardigans!
- We LOVE this CD. Our kids love the Backyardigans, but we actually listened to the previous CD's before we ever watched the program. What's nice about this is that the music isn't dumbed down, it's all sorts of international music produced very professionally with fun and funny lyrics. My husband and I enjoy it as much as our kids do and if you've ever spent a long car ride listening to children's music...you know that is saying A LOT!
- We initially checked out this cd from our local library. I questioned the title of some of the songs, didn't think they would be a good influence. After I realized I knew the lyrics to at least 3 of the songs and my girls behaviors were not negatively impacted - I bought the cd and we continue to love it. The CD has catchy lyrics and melodies, a little bit like showtunes I think.
- A must have for any Backyardigans fan. We listen to this CD everyday in the car. We won't let our son listen to the radio so we have to have a bunch of children friendly CDs loaded in the car at all times. My son absolutely loves this CD. It's probably one of the few children CDs I can listen to without losing my mind.
- We purchased this for my Daughter's themes Backyardigans party. She loved the music and asks to listen to it at breakfast every morning. My daughter loves the Backyardigans in general but this is a way for her to get to listen to the music (her favorite part) without always watching TV. Music is not annoying for adults as so many of the choices are now adays.

5 comments about Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Coldplay.
- This is the Cd by Coldplay where they take their music and make a lullaby for babies. I bought it for my son's sister-in-law who had a baby. I got a very positive response from the parents and they are late 20s to early 30's.
So I bought more for my kids for future grandchildren. I highly recommend it as it is nice for the parents also.
- Superlative choice. Beautiful and soothing muic for babies and adults. My favorite gift for new baby, stressed out adults, Coldplay fans and people trying to lull themselves to meditate or sleep. I think it is fabulous (far better than other artists in this collection).
- My son, Ghabe, goes to sleep in minutes after hearing the soothing notes of the first few songs. After his - ah, I doanwanna go nightnight - he takes off his clothes, puts them on his chair, goes pp, we read a story or two, gets tucked in. Then I put this in his computer CD drive and he's off to sleep. He used to jump around after the story and get me to fussing, not anymore. Thanks. You made this single Dad's life a bit easier.
- nice sounding disc, but even as a Coldplay fan I must ask... is this really THAT different than a Coldplay album. At least not more effective for its purpose.
I could see taking the Lullaby versions of Nine Inch Nails over one of the original albums, but this only seems to be missing some drums and vocals...
- Most Coldplay songs are soft and gentle, and baby-friendly as is. However, this is good for sleep time and for a very little one. It's plunky and dull compared to the others in the series I have, but as a lullabye it does the trick. It's way too boring for the parents to enjoy. Use this for bedtime and the real thing for music appreciation.

5 comments about Hi-5: Wonderful Wishes (Vol. 4).
- My two year old boy loves all the Hi-5 videos. He can watch it over and over again (The Hi-5 videos are the only ones that he will watch the entire 45 minutes). He loves the songs and sings along with the Hi-fiver. Strongly recommended for children of all ages.
- my 2+ year old daughter loves hi-5, so it was a hit with her. i didn't realize there was a christmas song on it though. i love holiday music, but only at the holidays, so that's a little annoying. otherwise entertaining.
- My 16 month old daughter would sit and watch this video over and over if I would let her. She loves it and can't get enough of it. This was the first Hi 5 video we bought, and we will definitely be buying more.
- We discovered "Hi-5" in the late summer last year, and my now 2-year old daughter is totallly enthralled by this great group! We just got her 3 DVDs for her 2nd birthday and the Jump and Jive CD is also great! We have the newest DVD on order for the release at the end of June...I don't know when the new shows will come out without Shawn or Carla, but my daughter will be so sad. She LOVES Carla. At least we have all these DVD shows!
- My granddaughter is so thrilled with these, that she is always watching them. HI-5 is her favotite TV show.

5 comments about Kidsongs - A Day at Old MacDonald's Farm.
- Would not recommend this to a freind.Boring I made the kids sit through it once and then it was put away for ever!!!
- A few months ago my 2 year old daughter (who never wants to watch tv/movies) chose Kidsongs "A visit to Old MacDonald's Farm" to check out from the library. She absolutely loved it and was very mesmerized by it. After checking it out every week for over a month I ordered it from amazon.com. I run a Montessori preschool out of my home and showed it to the children one day for movie friday and now that's all they want to watch! They love to sing along and go through the motions. My daughter has become obsessed with Scarecrow (the host of the movie) and will be a scarecrow for Halloween. I've yet to show the movie to a kid that doesn't love it. I also recommend the Kidsongs Circus movie.
- This is our second Kidsongs video, and while the songs are all good, I'd recommend the parents to avoid this one if your child's afraid of clowns. The scarecrow, a central character in the video, is not exactly a cuddly, reassuring presence. Furthermore, his facial makeup is like a clown's. My 2.5 year old son's afraid of clowns, as many kids are, and thus he doesn't like to watch this video.
- One of our very favorite kidsong episodes!!
Great entertainment (looks dated, especially the costumes and make-up).
The singing, dancing and kid participation are just excellent !!
We love this one even with the dated look.
- My grandkids are crazy about this video. They have watched it over and over.

5 comments about Madeline.
- My Grandaughter thought this was wonderful. We watched six times. She liked the fact that it was a real little girl and would like more Madelines just like this one
- I love Hatty Jones in this one. She is good and her best friend. I wish there was madeline two. I have a lot of madeline dvds and videos.
- Great movie. My daughter loves it! Just as if Madeline had come to life! Frances McDormand is fabulous as Miss Clavel!
- My 4 year old daughter and I watched this movie. Overall, it is wonderful.A point in the movie I disagree with, in the book, Madeline is NOT orphaned. In one book she is at boarding school where her Papa has sent Christmas presents.So..we know she is not a orphan. Also, since the boarding school is near the Eiffel Tower, one would have to assume that Miss Clavel should have an accent, as do most of the actors/actresses in the movie. However, she does not have an accent in the movie. I'm so used to improvising an accent when I read the books to my daughter, Miss Clavel's key line is always sitting up in bed and uttering, "Something is not right" and I like to believe she would say it like this, "Somesing iz not' rright." However, the actress in the movie sounds completely American. She does a nice job, I just wish she would have improv'd an accent. One last thing, when one of the boarding school girls is running around looking for Genevieve, she tells someone that Genevieve is a golden retriever, however the dog actor in the movie is clearly played by a yellow lab. Weird little oddities, but nonetheless noteworthy. Besides picking at this so badly, this movie is completely fun, touching and warm.
- My 4yo currently loves this movie, and we've watched it every day for the last few days. I have to agree with another reviewer who commented on one of the early reviews. Apparently, Madeline is the only one of the 12 girls who is an orphan. I got the impression it was a Paris boarding school consisting mostly of students from England. Lord Covington's wife was probably french (Marie Gilbert), but I'm pretty sure he was British. If you grew up with a fascination for boarding school (ie: Facts of Life fan), you'll probably love this movie.

4 comments about Wonder Pets - Save the Beetles!.
- Well this is everything a Baby Boomer gran or auntie needs to see to guarantee a purchase! It's a combination British Invasion music "tribute" with tons of Beatle references and precious, funny animals! There's no violence and no scary guys to make it anything but perfect for its intended audience -- Babies and Boomers who love them!
I'm sold. How about you?
- Super! This is a darling television show. My entire family (teens included) laughed and cheered throughout the DVD. We can't wait to share it with cousins this summer.
- No bad guys, no strong or border line language. Nothing close to scary. It's baby animals saving baby animals, so it's a safe purchase for young kids. The episodes are great for introducing new concepts and animals to little ones.
Each episode runs about 10 minutes so it's easy to track how much tv is being watched.
- The Wonder Pets! get groovy in the newest release, "Save the Beetles!" Yes, the Wonder Pets are called up on the ol' telly with a request for help from four members of a famous rock band, the Beetles, whose yellow submarine has gotten tangled up in kelp. As they journey to rescue them, they'll dive straight into Beatlemania pop-culture (and reference numerous Beatles song titles and lyrics along the way!) It's a fun journey, with two of the Beetles being voiced by... well, no, not the Beatles themselves, but by members of the cast of the stage play "Beatlemania!"
In the second half, "Three Wonder Pets and a Baby!," the Wonder Pets find themselves with a baby on their hands -- a baby pig! This one is really cute and could quickly become a fan favorite. It may be even more fun than "Save the Beetles!" There are many cute baby-related things, including various pictures of actual babies (my guess is children of the show staff.)
None of the other episodes released on this DVD are new either. Still, they're good content. One of them is "Save the Chameleon / Save the Platypus." "Save the Platypus" is particularly good, because it shows how a friend and team-member (Linny) can maintain a level-head when two others (Tuck and Ming-Ming) are arguing. There's also "Save the Duckling / Save the Kitten" and "Save the Sheep / Save the Hermit Crab" (music from both of these stories is featured on the "Wonder Pets!" album release.)
It's a shame that this DVD continues the tradition of not really including much in the way of special feature content. The only real special feature is the "Kelp!" music video -- which is just an easier way to access content that is already part of the episode. I was really hoping for behind-the-scenes stuff on "Save the Beetles!" -- "The Backyardigans," after all, gave us a behind-the-scenes look at "International Superspy," complete with scenes of Cyndi Lauper recording a song for it.

1 comments about Beethoven's Wig 4: Dance Along Symphonies.
- I've always been suspicious -- even cynical -- about sequels. So after the original Beethoven's Wig swept my daughter away while so engagingly reintroducing me to some favorite classics, I was pleasantly surprised when Wig 2, and then Wig 3, somehow managed to sustain the magic of Wig 1. I thought it couldn't get any better, and then here comes Wig 4. The artist may not like this, but I have to tell you to jump to the last cut first -- "Beep Beep Beep," lyricist/vocalist Richard Perlmutter's take on Beethoven's beautiful Moonlight Sonata -- to hear a mini-masterpiece of storytelling for children and adults alike. It's the perfect exclamation point at the end of what is now four Beethoven's Wig albums that seldom waiver in their enthralling ingenuity and craftsmanship. Then you and your little ones can go back and listen to all that the whole album has to offer, while knowing that "Beep Beep Beep" is waiting for you again at the end. Along the way, you'll encounter marching bands with aching feet, a comically frustrated dog owner trying to teach him to roll over, a very different look inside the circus, and stories set to spirited waltzes that will make the family want to all get up and dance together -- all while (re)discovering some of the greatest classical repertoire. How Beethoven's Wig managed to not only sustain the charm of the original but also maintain this level of artistry amazes me, and continues to delight even my(now older) daughter. Highly recommended!
