5 comments about Disney's Sing Along Songs - Beach Party at Walt Disney World.

  1. This is the third copy we have purchased. The others wore out from use. The kids (5 year old twins) have watched it over and over, both before we went to WDW (I want to do that!) and after (I did that!). It's fun, with catchy tunes and live action depicting various sites at WDW - not the usual cartoons. They only wish it were longer.

  2. But not bad. I prefer Sing Along Songs: Disneyland Fun (Volume 7) and Disney's Sing-Along Songs - Happy Haunting. This one was just not as enjoyable. The songs were not as fun. There was more kids and less characters. It was just less all around.

  3. hi if your kids dont like this you are just crazy evan my chorus teacher loved this one i used it for the kids in her class that was grting ready for a trip to walt disney world mrs c was likeing this she rememberd that her daugther ema loved this intermaterinfact ema said lets go se christian when mts cacilio told her the goof news

  4. All five of my granddaughters, ages 18 months to 6-1/2 years, love this video. They dance and sing along with it and never get tired of watching it! Age appropriate...unlike Highschool Musical!!

  5. This is my favorite of the Disney sing-along videos. Nothing fancy on the DVD version, no extras. Unfortunately the video quality is poor....it looks like it was cut from a VHS master. Oh well, the kids don't really care.

5 comments about Baby Einstein - Baby Shakespeare - World of Poetry.

  1. While I hate to admit it, my 8 month old is hooked on Baby Einstein. His favorites are Baby Shakespeare, Baby McDonald, Numbers Nursery, and Baby VanGogh--i.e., all the classical puppet format types. Baby Shakespeare has beautiful imagery and poetry, but also the fun puppets my little guy loves to see. I've researched the BE series thoroughly, and highly recommend these. While I am not crazy enough to think the videos will make my baby smarter, I do like that I know what he's seeing, I get a few minutes to shower, cook, etc, and most importantly, he loves them!

  2. Great DVD, my 6 month old loves it. One problem was that the DVD didnt work on our DVD player in Australia, and so had to get a hack to unlock the DVD player.

  3. Baby Einstein is a wonderful line of videos to help aid in your child's development. Get them off to a very good start with these videos, and this special one, Baby Einstein - Baby Shakespeare - World of Poetry, Just the Cat's Pajamas,. Get them well on the way to a successful future now! Don't wait!

  4. We absolutely love this video. I love that it combines actual speaking along with music. My boys, now 2, both can recite some of the poems. It has always captured their attention and kept them occupied. While I am not a huge fan of videos for babies, I make an exception for this one. It is mildly education but loads of fun. I definitely recommend this video!!!

  5. Wonderful DVD with lots of information for my 14 month old. He absolutely loves these movies and actually will repeat what they are saying. I don't feel guilty having him watch these over and over because he learns while being entertained.

5 comments about Disney Silly Songs: 20 Simply Super Singable Silly Songs.

  1. Some of these songs i think are very old and not for today's market. Not catchy. Sorry disney its a bust from me.

  2. Lots of silly songs, many are the kind kids used to sing at camp way back when. Good fun for the family. Great for playing in the car on trips.

  3. I remember listening to those songs on a tape when I was in elementary school. I loved it. I played the tape on our tape player in our living room when I was in middle school and my mom says those were stupid. My dad told me that time it was for little kids.

  4. My sister and I had this record growing up and we would listen to it on road trips with our parents all the time. I remember most of the words and I love being able to share these timeless songs with my 16-month-old son. He's already singing along even though he can't say the words yet! I definitely recommend this CD for all children!

  5. My brother and I used to listen to this all the time when we were kids. Every once in a while we will still sing the songs together, we are 24 and 25 years old. I am so psyched to find the cd, Im getting one for my brother for christmas. He is going to get the biggest kick out of it! This is a must have for all kids. One of the greatest CDs ever!

5 comments about Baby Einstein - Baby Monet - Discovering the Seasons.

  1. Your child would love watching this video, but she'd also love eating cotton candy and drinking grape soda. Many pediatric and psychological studies (e.g., by Children's Hospital in Boston) have shown that young children know FEWER words for every hour they spend watching videos like this one. Why? Because they aren't spending time with YOU, practicing their language and social skills. There's also evidence that young children who watch TV have a greater risk of developing ADHD. Last, toddlers who grow up in homes with the TV always on in the background literally seem to have more trouble hearing themselves think. This hurts their developing linguistic abilities and consequently their abilities to engage silent reasoning.

Please protect your child -- don't let her watch any TV during her early, crucial, developmental years. We only watch TV when our little girl is asleep.

Ask your pediatrician if you have any doubts about this.

Cornell University researchers are reporting what appears to be a statistically significant relationship between autism rates and television watching by children under the age of 3. Read more at: http://www.slate.com/id/2151538/

  2. I have the entire Baby Einstein collection and this is by FAR the best of the bunch. The other videos for this age group are sooooo boring, even my daughter doesn't want to watch them! However, she loves the beautiful music and nature scenes in Baby Monet. She laughs at the zebra puppets and smiles at the children. If you've even been freaked out by the Baby Bach video (let's face it....creepy!) this is a video you really should try! So much better than the rest!!!

  3. The name "Baby Einstein" wants to make parents think it's okay for babies to watch this program, but check out these facts:

    - In a study among babies ages 8-16 months, every hour spent watching programs daily such as 'BABY EINSTEIN' or 'BRAINY BABY' translated into 6-8 fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age

    - for every hour of television a baby watches daily, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%

    - the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television at all to children under two years of age.

    - brain wave activity is slower when watching television than when sleeping in babies.

In summary, three hours every day of watching programs like this day can result in 30% greater chance of ADD and 18-24 fewer vocabulary words!!

  4. I don't think it's as bad as some reviewers claim. It's certainly not as bad as Baby Newton. The zebras are not terribly annoying as I read in another review. My son (20 mos.) smiles at them and likes the part near the end when they dance. The dance music is upbeat and fun. If anything bad can be said, it's kind of slow moving; but I guess what can one expect from nature scenes?

5 comments about The Lion King (A Walt Disney Masterpiece).

  1. The item's content was of course, excellent. The movie did come unhinged during shipping, which caused a loose, shaking noise inside before I opened it. I had to prevent the movie from hitting the floor when I opened it. Haven't actually watched the movie to inspect visual damage....more to come.

    Robert

  2. I'm a little at a loss for words... this set is almost $100 and it doesn't even include the other Lion King sequels? I love the Lion King movie, but sorry, I don't think any movie is worth that much money (no matter how many extra-never-before-seen-interviews-songs-videos there are).

  3. I DON'T DO A LOT OF CARTOON WATCHING, BUT, THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW THAT I ACTUALLY ENJOYED WATCHING WITH MY KIDS ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASIONS.. A MUST SEE FOR EVERYONE

  4. I never received the product and the seller would not respond to emails. I could not recommend this seller!

  5. I think I can safely say that "The Lion King" is one of my top three favorite things Disney has ever done. I love the story, the music, and the beautiful animation and color. It truly is an art form and any lover of the movie should be able to appreciate the platinum edition DVD.

And I do. I truly do. I can be quite the geek when it comes to DVDs, but this... it's kind of reminiscent of the marketing ploy that part of Disney has become.

Really, with all the marvelous extras this thing has... does it really need all the crap? The ads and too-long menus gave me something of a headache.

Still, I suppose it's worthy it to at least have this film gem on DVD.

5 comments about Baby Einstein - Language Nursery.

  1. Too confusing. I thought this dvd would have a spanish track where it woul go through all the attractions in that language and not just combine the whole thing. I would not recommend this dvd, there are better dvds that baby einstein has. Don't buy this one.

  2. What is this video suppose to be? Images and text don't even connect, it does not catches babies interest... If you want to start your baby with a foreign language you should better try Little Pim series which both catches the baby's attention and is of great educational quality.Little Pim: 3-Disc Gift Set (Spanish)Little Pim: 3-Disc Gift Set (Mandarin Chinese)Little Pim: 3-Disc Gift Set (French)

  4. Thanks so much for the fast service. My order arrived as I expected. I will certainly use this dealer again. Thanks so much.

  5. My 6 month old son has been watching this video on and off for 2 months and LOVES it. I honestly think he loves bathtime more since his introduction to water on the video.

There is a good balance of puppets, real video and animation. Another good Baby Einstein video!

  1. Sign language in english is different from sign language in spanish, yet they use the same signs. Personally, I think there should be a different dvd dedicated to sign language and not combined with this type of dvd. It takes up good quality puppet time that my kid loves. I was not happy at all with this and would not recommend this video unless they came out with the same video without the sign language.

  4. I have a special needs child who loves most all Baby Einstein videos. He walked away from this one after 1 minute. So did my typical 18 month old. It does very little to engage the children. It's boring, and like the previous mom mentioned...."what baby needs to know the sign for 'bank' and 'salon'?". "Signing Times" videos are much better.

5 comments about Walt Disney Records : Children's Favorite Songs, Vol. 4.

  1. I have 6 of these kiddie CD's in the car and my 19 month old son "sings" along and dances in his seat. He loves them!

  2. This is a great collection just for the songs themselves. Even better, the whole song is included, not just a verse or maybe two. And the lyrics are clear, important for aging memories. I look forward to sharing the whole set with my grandchildren.

  3. My daughter (11) and nephews (8, 1) all love this CD. The older kids have fun singing & dancing with the baby, and the baby loves to listen to the CD by himself as well.

  4. My kids love these volumes of Children's Favorite Songs, as do I. The arrangements and voicings are child friendly without being dull.

  5. Great songs on this CD. Nice variety, wonderful singers. My grandchildren want it on in the car every time we go out. Lots of old favorites that I like too.

5 comments about Sing-Along Songs - The Bare Necessities.

  1. My grandchildren have almost worn out this DVD. They enjoyed the video, The Jungle Book and love singing the Bare Necessities.

  2. My daughter loves the Circle of Life sing along video so I thought this one would be great as well. This video contains more of the older Disney songs and I didn't realize until now how many stereotypes there were. Some songs are great (Bare Necessities and I Wanna Be Like You), others just so-so and some just unwatchable. Old Yeller fighting a black bear for 3/4 of the song was more than my 2-year old wanted to see. She much prefers to keep watching Disney's other video: Circle of Life.

Song List: "The Bare Necessities" (The Jungle Book), "You (Are a Human Animal)" ("The Mickey Mouse Club"), "Cinderella Work Song" (Cinderella), "Old Yeller" (Old Yeller), "Figaro and Cleo" ("Figaro and Cleo"), "Winnie the Pooh" (Winnie the Pooh Featurettes), "I Wanna Be Like You" (The Jungle Book), "Look Out for Mr. Stork" (Dumbo), "Ev'rybody Wants To Be a Cat" (The Aristocats), "The Ugly Bug Ball" (Summer Magic), "The Bare Necessities" Reprise (The Jungle Book)

  3. My husband and his siblings wore out two of these DVD's as children, and still know the entire songs of Cinderelli and Ugly Bug Ball. Now, my daughter is 4 and since we got it two weeks ago, it's already her favorite. Well worth buying, and buying again, if need be. Talk about a classic! I didn't experience this as a child, but even in my old age (I'm twenty something) this is enjoyable for me to watch, and who doesn't want their kid to have movies that won't drive 'em nuts?

  4. the sing along songs are the best. all kids should have a few, its a door to music they will possess forever. if my kid is watching the same dvd over and over again, id rather it be songs from old disney classics then some of the stuff we're put through these days.. they are entertained by it from a young age, so being exposed to the words on the bottom of the screen is a great way to help get them interested in reading.

  5. Austrians beware. This product is not compatible with you DVD player as it does not use PAL!
