5 comments about High School Musical 2.
- I bought it from a Disney store. It cost me $13 plus taxes. None of the songs are good. After listening to 2 songs, I found out they all sound the same.
The only good thing about it is it has 2 version for each song. The first version is with vocal (singer singing). The second is karaoke which has only background music. So, if you don't know the song very well, you can sing along with vocal version first.
It's a waste of money.
- My kids (and I....oh, and my husband) all love High School Musical 2's music. However, this one's missing Sharpay's YOU ARE THE MUSIC IN ME--my absolute favorite song and the hula song at the end. Boo....these are two that you definitely miss. So, while it's good to have the music, the lack of those songs keep it from being great.
- Who doesn't love a little karaoke?!?!?! If you love karaoke and love High School Musical 2, like I do.....this is the perfect product. I absolutely love it!!
- My kids and I have quality time singing off key and we love the HSM karaoke cds! Very fun!!!
- I love this CDG. My music students sing along with the High School Musical cast everyday and love it.

5 comments about Hannah Montana: Karaoke From the Hit TV Show.
- My 8-year-old daughter was not only disappointed but considered the voice really weird. It's not remotely close to Miley Cyrus, so she asked me to stop playing it. She didn't think her friends would be interested in singing to it either.
- This is a good Hannah Montana karaoke CD. It is not the original songs but pretty close for your fans who want to be their own Hannah on the mic.
- Background vocals didn't sound quite the same as on original CD. But my dauther loved it.
- My daughter wanted to listen to it right away but, when she found out it did not have Hannah Montana singing, she was a little upset, since she paid for it. She also thought there was going to be Hannah Montana 2 songs on the CD, but overall she was happy with this purchase.
- When buying a karaoke CD, I expect the same music with maybe some background singing. Unfortunately, this karaoke CD has someone else singing lead vocals in the background and not quite the exact music as the original. In some of the songs the lead vocals is sung by a male! I would not have purchased this if I had heard it first.

5 comments about Sing Along Songs - Disneyland Fun.
- My kid just loves this movie she sings and dances along and watches it over and over! So Fun for the whole family we like to watch it on the plane on the way to Disney too! FUN FUN FUN
- My 19 month old is obsessed with this DVD! He loves the songs and the characters, and sees new things each time he watches it.
Yes, it's cheesy and essentially a 30 minute commercial for Disneyland, but it's not nearly as annoying as a lot of the kids' DVDs out there.
Also, the French version is quite entertaining - if you understand French, it's interesting to see how some of the songs are translated.
- The other reviewers have good points, but I don't think anyone has mentioned what I think is the most fun feature on this DVD! But more on that in a moment.
First, the people giving negative reviews have two good points - this thing IS a little dated, and the song "Grim Grinning Ghosts" can be scary for young kids. (I can't remember any other major criticisms...) Having said that, I really like the return to 1989: Big hair! Guys wearing pink (non-ironically)! The PeopleMover! Party Gras! It's a little like watching one of those World of Disney shows from the Sixties. My kids didn't like the song "GGG" at first, but I watch it with them, and we discuss the relevant issues - that it's just pretend, that there are people in those costumes, and that sometimes it's fun to be scared. I think they'll be ready for the Mansion next time we go to Anaheim...
But there's so much more to love on this video! The songs are fun, and it's great to learn some of these lyrics to sing along at the park. I can no longer walk down Main Street without humming the catchy second song on the disc, and the up-tempo "Zip-A-Dee-Do-Dah" is cool, complete with the requisite horrible rap break in the middle (so common in the Eighties). And since it was 1989, they were also trying to cram Roger Rabbit down our throats at every opportunity (sorry, Roger - great attraction, but you're not a "classic")!
The most fun, though, is sort of an easter egg, and I haven't heard anyone else mention it. On the "set up" menu for the DVD, it gives you the option to switch the language to French. Haven't tried it? I don't blame you, I don't speak French either. But when you choose that option, instead of just a translation, you get an entirely different video - shot at Disneyland Paris! It's a beautiful park, and the video shows some things I've heard of, but never seen, like Alice's Curious Labyrinth and the dragon lying in wait beneath the castle. Plus, the Phantom Manor song features the mysterious Phantom himself, and a real treat for Haunted Mansion geeks: a beating-heart Bride face character!
To sum up:
* Yes, the video is dated and a bit dorky, but there are those of us that embrace that sort of thing.
* The Haunted Mansion is creepy, so don't leave your kids there alone.
* Roger Rabbit was never as successful a franchise as Disney had hoped.
* Disneyland looks pretty much the same today as it did twenty years ago (except Tomorrowland, which does not look as modern now as it did then).
* And even if you don't speak French, Disneyland Paris is a great place to spend part of your day.
- Wow! What a great video to prepare your children for the Big trip to Disney! This video highlights songs and characters and Disney attractions. My 4 and 2 year old boys love to watch this DVD and in my opinion has well prepared them for our trip. Just wish it was a bit more up to date. The video features Roger Rabbit...and early 90's attire and hairstyles. (At least the styles give my wife and I a good laugh!)
- OK, this video is for my 4 and 2 year olds but I find it charming and strangely reflective. It was shot in the early 90's right about the time I was graduating from high school so the scenery and fashions really bring back some memories. It also provides a time-capsule look at rides gone past like the People Mover, Skyway, the OLD Tom Sawyer's Island, Tomorrowland before the makeover and more. The kids love it too and seem to really enjoy the "Main Street USA" and "Step-N-Time" sequences. Good production values and fun for the kids.

5 comments about Walt Disney Records : Children's Favorite Songs, Vol. 2 : 25 Classic Tunes.
- I was looking for some children's music that my toddler and I could sing along to. This is perfect. Not a sugary-sweet voice, but someone actually singing songs.
- Lordy, how I detest the Disney machine. So much skill, so little taste.
Here's what I think you'd want in a collection of songs aimed at young and maybe not so young children: bland arrangements, erring on the peppy side; a friendly, enthusiastic singer who obviously enjoys the songs (think Burl Ives); children's favorites.
Here's what you get on disc 2 of Disney's collection: bland arrangements erring on the extra bland; a crooner with a voice like yogurt who is just putting in his day at the office; and, of course, from Disney, some corporate trash.
In this case, three "favorite" songs that the children have never heard before because they're new; and will never become favorites because they are dull, wordy and impossible for young children to sing.
You can just hear the ghost of Walt whispering in the ear of the producer (Jymn Mogan), "Throw in some extra crap, the parents will pay for it and the dumb clucks won't know any better."
Disney didn't tamper with the lyrics as much as I had expected, but what sort of idiot changes "am" to "is" is "Polly Wolly Doodle"?
- The first volume of this collection is better known. I'd listen to these on cassette, while on long medical trips, such a smart move MOM!
Volume two has few songs I'm sure in my 25 plus year life I have never heard.
I must credit Disney for keeping these songs in familiar territory, without changing melody, yet adding sound effects to make a child more likely to be interested in.
Into days society the simple idea of having down time, with family, is becoming more, and more a rarity. While there will forever be some sort of music [being played], from records to tapes, cds, and now MP3 there should by family togetherness!
- There is no better way for me to bring music back to summer camp than by using this CD to pave the way. I listened to these songs when this was originally released on record when I was a child. The first time I heard this albulm on CD, I was amazed at myself because I STILL new all of the words! Listening to Larry sing was calming and comforting, making me feel safe, like a child again. I can't wait to expose the children at summer camp to these wonderful versions of classic songs!
- I liked this CD very much and sang to the songs myself since a lot of them were ones that I enjoyed as a child. But my song preferd my other CDs which I listen to on a normal basis. I bought this and #1 for my car so we could enjoy it while we drove a long distance to my parents house but he didnt show any interest. Maybe over time he will learn to enjoy??

5 comments about Best of Both Worlds Concert: The 3-D Movie [Blu-ray] Extended Edition.
- I really didn't care for her voice, she has a very harsh, deep sounding voice. I liked the part with the jonas Brothers though, they sounded really good! I should clarify I am not an 8 yr old I am 41 yrs old so that may be the reason I didn't go crazy over her concert movie...lol
- I love this DVD and will be watching it loads of times. Miley sounds great on this DVD and I really enjoy the behind the scenes footage. My only thing is I would have loved the full version of Ready, set, dont go on the DVD as Miley and her Dad sing great together in Country
- After seeing this concert at the theaters, it was a bit disappointing with the 3 D effects with the glasses on this DVD. My daughter enjoyed the DVD none the less.
- I am very happy with this purchase. All my kids really enjoy this movie.
- The 3d mostly a gimmick. Other than making Miley pop out a bit more it doesn't do a lot... but that's ok because what it's really about is seeing Miley Cyrus in concert. Miley brings her a-game and sings her songs extremely well. She is a better performer at a young age than... probably almost everyone. If you love her and her music you will LOVE this.

5 comments about Disney Princess: The Ultimate Song Collection.
- This wonderful CD has 14 great Disney tunes. There's everything from Once Upon A Dream to Belle, and even three new tunes from Disney's Princess works. They bring back lots of great memories - Belle and her dreams, Ariel and the Prince in the boat, Mulan trying to be what is expected of her - it's all great! So, if you have a little princess, then get do her a great favor and get her this CD. Heck, the entire family will love it. We highly recommend this CD to your family.
- This CD contains all of the great songs from the Disney Princess Movies. This is a favorite in our house - we especially love The Little Mermaid songs. Beware - you will be singing these songs all the time!
- My daughter is a huge Disney Princess fan (what 5 y/o girl isn't?). I was grateful that the songs were from the original movies as we have most of them and they are more familiar to her. Great for road trips if you as an adult can listen to it more than once!
- Good album, a bit on the slow song side, but my girls like it. I think I was hoping for more peppy songs instead of ballads, so if that's what you are looking for, buy it.
- This cd is filled with "princess songs" As soon as I put it on all the girls started to sing and loveeeed it. It's been on at least daily since we received it. They dance along with the music. It's really perfect for all the little princesses out there!!!

5 comments about Baby Einstein - Baby Beethoven - Symphony of Fun.
- Since receiving this product, my baby girl has been mezmerized by the DVD from the first time she watched it at 4 months. As a mom, I love the music (it doesn't get better than Beethoven!), the used of shapes, colors, and characters in the Baby Einstein series, as well as the fact that it provides a great opportunity for my baby and I to interact TOGETHER along with the DVD talking about what we see and learning new things each time we watch it. It's fascinating to watch, even for me as an adult! I'm so very glad we got it!!!
- My child was a Baby Einstein fan. We started by introducing him to the Baby Beethoven DVD when he was only a few months old. In no time, he began to respond to the sights and sounds. Before long we had the whole Baby Einstein series. Children seem to grasp and understand (in their own unique way) by watching and interacting. Even now at almost seven years old, my son likes classical music and especially the featured tracks from the DVD. I think any program that seems to educate your children early on is great. This series worked well for us. Makes a great gift for parents to be. I highly recommend it.
DJ Come of Age
(aka Mr. Mom)
- The Disk was used but was in good condition. The baby I purchased the DVD for is loving it.
- I didn't have much faith that these videos would actually capture the interest my four month old. I was SO wrong. It really grabs his attention and, I hate to say it, allows me at least 27 minutes to get myself ready for the day (or type this review!).
My only problem with the video is the advertising at the beginning (about 4 to 5 minutes worth). Advertisements should be left until the very end, NOT the beginning when you just want to pop it in and have your child sit to watch it. Not only are the advertisments LOOOONNNG, you CAN'T FAST FORWARD OR SKIP THEM!!! Disney was very selfish when they shoved their ads on us this way. The same holds true for every other Baby Einstein video I have. ANNOYING!
- I got this DVD as a gift at one of my baby showers and my son watches it over and over and over again. He gets very excited: so he giggles and laughs! Its hysterical to watch my son. He tries to wiggle and dance with the music and sometimes he rolls around too! (8/9mo now)

- My kids love to dance to this CD...we play it all day! A great mix of Disney songs!
- I bought this gift for my little cousin and she loved it! She loves to sing and dance and this was the perfect fit for her!
Shipped very quickly!
- This is a great CD. I love it, my kids love it, and it worked perfect for our road trip. It is something we can all enjoy and listen to. We have collected all of the volumes. They are great.
- We recently purchased this cd, after already having Vol. 1. My kids (3 and 1 1/2) love both cds. It can be a real help in the car on extended trips.
- Nothing brings sweet recollection of Disney movies like hearing the wonderful songs. In an age where there so much music with no redeeming qualities, these Disney CDs are priceless. Wonderful for the entire family to listen to around the house or in the car while traveling. We can't help but sing along. We love that these are the original tracks from the movies! Wonderful! We now have all three volumes.

5 comments about WALL·E.
- When I saw that Thomas Newman was composing the music for this movie, I was ecstatic. Finding Nemo has one of the best scores ever, so I had high expectations for Wall E. I wasn't disappointed. The music spreads over many different emotions present in the movie, from the haunting melody of "2815 AD" to the beautiful and heartwearming "Define Dancing," two of my favorites on the CD. The score keeps the futuristic setting in mind while still keeping the emotion. This is a fantastic soundtrack, made all the more endearing by the addition of "Put On Your Sunday Clothes" and "It Only Takes a Moment" from Hello, Dolly, Wall E's favorite movie.
- There are many instruments on this CD, and many that I've never even heard of... from unusual medieval instruments to the 'Musical Telegraph' (perhaps the first ever electronic instrument), the EWI (a kind of electronic saxophone), to Windharp, 'Granulated' Synthesizers (something usually only used in Noise Music), Marimba, Flapamba (??, and btw, can someone please tell me what a Floating Backward is?????)... 'Rendered' Harp, 'Dompteur Xylophone' etc...... an amazing mix of traditional and electronic arrangements.... the effect is as hauntingly complex and stunning as the film itself... almost unbearable in the beauty that's being created, for example the amazing tenderness of sounds at the beginning of Fixing Wall-E or the deep happiness as expressed in the last track, Horizon 12.2 (a happiness that seems to arise from a lot of unhappiness, like a lotus flower rising from a pond of tears)... or the loneliness of 2815 A.D....the amazing spaceyness of it all... i really love all these tracks with the orchestra.... but the other material.... i certainly don't like Hello Dolly, it works well in the movie, but by itself, it is just not really that good, actually I don't like any of these old songs that appear on the soundtrack.. they had their place in the movie and of course need to be on this cd.... to be honest, i can't stand that Peter Gabriel song, it is so totally middle of the road and unspectacular... i was pretty shocked that they would use something like that in such a special film.... thank Heaven the last two minutes of the credits had the wonderful Horizon 12.2... so the movie could end with sounds of beauty... it would have been wonderful if they had asked somebody like Kate Bush to write a song to be used for the credits.... something really special and with more depth, more mystery than the uninspiring Gabriel ditty....
well, to sum it up.... just for the orchestra tracks, it is an absolute must-have... the rest is very much a question of taste...
the artwork is lovely.....
- Having been a big fan of the movie soundtrack since I was a kid I pay almost as much attention to the music as I do the movie itself. My CD wallet is always at least half full of soundtracks to take to work each day. I find them to be some of the best music for listening in the office. And this one...WOW. Starts off with music from Hello Dolly and never lets you down. The short 'themes' will put you right into WALL E's world and were well written in that the feel of the story comes across in each one. I highly recommend this soundtrack for anyone who enjoyed this film or for anyone who enjoys a terrific soundtrack.
LOVED IT!!
- With the release of WALL*E, Pixar still remains king of the animation universe. The film itself is full of vivid images, warm emotion, and enduring actions. When it comes to animated films, what is actually seen on screen is usually what stands out most to people. However, great movies (and all of Pixar's pictures are great movies) also have elements in them that many people don't notice but are also key in the film's success. An example of this is the music. In a Pixar picture, the music is just as important as the story that is told and the visuals that are seen on the screen. Most people may not realize this, but in addition to all the awards for visuals and animation, Pixar films have also been nominated for many "Best Song" Oscars. The soundtrack to WALL*E continues this winning musical combination.
WALL*E is one of the best films of 2008. I was moved by the film and was also touched by its musical soundtrack and score. I enjoy all of the vocal selections on the album, including Louis Armstrong's rendition of "La Vie en Rose". My favorite instrumental selections include the following:
#3 "WALL*E"
#5 "Eve"
#11 "First Date"
#29 "Rogue Robots"
From the opening song, "Put on Your Sunday Clothes", that is taken from HELLO, DOLLY! and played at the beginning of the movie to Peter Gabriel's inspiring "Down to Earth" that closes the film with the beginning of the credits, the soundtrack to WALL*E is a musical delight for both fans of the film and people who just enjoy listening to good music.
- OK, so I'm a complete sap. Even as I write this tears are forming. WALL-E is a Disney/Pixar film that will undoubtedly become a legend. I don't know how Andrew Stanton, Thomas Newman and their teams did it, but this is a movie like nothing you have ever seen before. I've heard all the gripes that the film offends overweight people (hey, I'm overweight and it didn't even come close to offensive). Other gripes range from ecological offenses, it's too liberal, and that the film is hypocritical because Disney/Pixar are selling toys that are not biodegradable...the list goes on. People who watch this film and say such things I feel are saying it because 1)They're just plain jealous of the success of Disney/Pixar and most of all they don't get it that 2) THIS IS A LOVE STORY! It's just that simple. I say to those who dislike it for those reasons to please stop looking so deep into this film. Yes, it brings up the fact that we've got to stop trashing our planet, but isn't that a good thing to say?
WALL-E is truly one of the most wonderful, beautiful, touching love stories I have ever seen and not once is the word "love" even mentioned! Matter of fact the first 20 minutes or so there is hardly any dialogue. Wall-E is such an endearing character. He's part E.T., SHORT CIRCUIT,Chaplin and Keaton and pretty much a trash compactor with binoculars for a face. And even though he technically doesn't have one he is ALL heart.
But since this is supposed to be a review of the CD let me just say that if Thomas Newman doesn't get an Oscar (as well as the film itself) then the voters are clearly dismissing this amazing composition which I feel, so far, is the best music Newman has ever written. From the very beginning of the film the music feels mysterious, desolate, lonely yet you get the sense that something pretty incredible is about to happen to our little robot friend and his pet cockroach (who ever thought that a cockroach could be so cute)? Wall-E's theme is Newman being wacky and fun and the rest of the score just soars. There are a few tracks that will have you in tears especially if you've seen this film. I've read a few reviews where people hope that Thomas Newman and Peter Gabriel's song, "Down to Earth" wins the Oscar as well, but if I'm correct I believe that the Academy has a new ruling that songs played over the credits of the film are not eligible for a nomination so I'm afraid they'll lose out in that category.
Please see this movie and please buy this CD and get the DVD when that comes out. WALL-E has now become my favorite film of all time. It's one little robot's breathtaking journey through the galaxy to be with the one who fulfills his life. Don't look for deep meanings. It's simply a film about love and the desire to connect and what's so bad about that? Thank you Messrs. Stanton and Newman and all those people that worked on this film and made it a classic that all ages will enjoy!
