-
Really enjoyed the movie, but didn't think I'd like the soundtrack as much. I was wrong, listened to it while driving from Los Angeles to San Diego and was singin' along with it the whole way!!
- this is a great CD because it is parent friendly. The kids like it because it is from the movie and we like it because it is actually good music.
- I bought this for my two sons. One is five and the other is three. They love it! A great buy for kids and for parents who want to create a fun car ride!
- Great audio for a long drive with my little one. He loves the movie, and this soundtrack is enjoyable for us both. He also enjoys listening to it while playing with his Cars collection.
- Tracks 3,5 & 10 were best song rtracks on the whole cd. I wish theyed put thoses 3 songs on a cd with other disney songs which would be much better. Id say thoses 3 tracks is what saves this cd from getting 1 star rating.

5 comments about High School Musical.
- I bought this CD to practice for my audition in a local production of HSM. I really only focus on the two ensemble numbers, "Stick to the Status Quo" and "We're All in this Together". All of the songs are sung and played well. The lyrical content is perfect for children. Very small ones can dance to the aforementioned ensemble numbers; older kids can croon along with the ballads. Tweens and teens will love this musical, as it focuses on their generation. For example, in "Stick to the Status Quo", brainiac Martha Cox admits her passion is "hip hop". (You won't find that in the other delightful musical, GREASE!)
Adults probably won't find much substance, but they'll be thankful the songs are inoffensive. If you want G-rated family entertainment, this is the CD for your home!
- CD quality as described and promised however it took FOREVER for it to get shipped to me.
- The tunes are catchy and my daughters, 7 and 4, love to listen, sing and dance. It makes the car ride faster ... but it drives their Dad crazy. The songs really stick in your head. I don't mind dancing around to the music with them. It's fun.
- Hassel Free Shopping. Product arrived super fast. Made my granddaughter very happy at Christmas. Just what she wanted. Will definitely buy from Amazon again.
- IF YOU'VE SEEN THE MOVIE YOU KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. THE COOL PART IS THAT THERE IS A BONUS CD WITH JUST THE MUSIC SO THAT THE KIDS CAN SING ALONG.

- my kids enjoy the i carly cd over the hanna montana, they like to hear the title song and some of the songs presented in the show, but not to crazy about the other tracks...
- C'mon people! What are you thinking? How can you call this music? This is nothing but a pathetic attempt by Billy Ray Cyrus and the Disney corporation to make millions upon millions of dollars by selling this awful garbage to you. This is barely music in my book. Real music needs to be kept in peoples stereos and not this pop garbage which will make your ears bleed. Go listenin to The Who, Led Zeppelin or any other classic rock group and try to tell me this is better. I dare you.
- When I first got this C.D. when it first came out a year ago or whatever I was much more childish and liked it but now it's like what was I thinking. The music is just...I dunno too childish so for maybe ages who love Hannah Montana they'll like it but if you just sort of like her don't waste your money!
- My daughter has recently become a huge Hannah Montana fan. When she brought this CD to school, she happily showed it to whomever she could announcing that she's got Hannah Montana. Her teacher plays it in the classroomso the entire class gets to enjoy it.
- I can't get away from the sound. The kids play and sing to it whenever they can and of course I have to listen to it unless I can use the chainsaw or grinder to sound it out. This young lady seems to have a good head on her shoulders and a great voice, and her tunes are your standard music without all the throat ripping or doof doofing of many other current sounds. It will be a phase your young teenagers go through which could be alot worse but can't be much better then this album.
The little cherubs will love it.

5 comments about Baby Einstein - Numbers Nursery.
- This has been a favorite of both my children. My 7-year old loved this video as a toddler and now my youngest enjoys it even more. My 22-month old loves to count with the number train and name the objects as they appear on the screen. Love that they use the same objects to show 1 item, then two, etc. it helps with counting and object recognition. We slowly started counting up to five with the video several months ago and are now starting to pass 10. Love the colors and consistency of the video. My son gets excited everytime he sees the tiger come on.
- excellent entertainment, espically when you need thirty minutes to get a few things done. my daughter loves all the baby einstein dvds.
- Your child would love watching this video, but she'd also love eating cotton candy and drinking grape soda. Many pediatric and psychological studies have shown that young children know FEWER words for every hour they spend watching videos like this one. Why? Because they aren't spending time with YOU, practicing their language and social skills. There's also evidence that young children who watch TV have a greater risk of developing ADHD. Last, toddlers who grow up in homes with the TV always on in the background literally seem to have more trouble hearing themselves think. This hurts their developing linguistic abilities and consequently their abilities to engage silent reasoning.
Please protect your child -- don't let her watch any TV during her early, crucial, developmental years. We only watch TV when our little girl is asleep.
- My little one absolutely loves this DVD and even asks for it by "growling" like the tiger on the front! It may surprise you that they only teach numbers up to 5, but as a former preschool teacher I believe it is very age appropriate. The DVD is not teaching them to just -count- to five, they are teaching the children how to recognize numbers up to five as well as recognize number sets (ie-when we see 4 things we don't have to count, we automatically know there are four things). I think it is wonderful, and had they gone on to teach 6-10 it not only would have been too long, but would have been overwhelming. I think it was very well made as does my 1 1/2 year old!
- I had heard good things about the Baby Einstein books and chose to give a couple of them for a 1st birthday present. Among all the toys the child received, these books stood out and everyone at the party oooohed and aaaahed. I was so happy when I got a "thumbs up" from the mother of the birthday boy. The experience of ordering on line from Amazon is the best. I give them a "thumbs up".

5 comments about James and the Giant Peach (Special Edition).
- As a mother of two kids (ages 8 and 6), I have read nearly all of the Roald Dahl books multiple times in the past few years. We all love his writing - his stories are usually quite dark and yet offer a lot of humor, warmth and love as well. James and the Giant Peach is a wonderful story and well worth reading with your children. Mind you, there is the usual dose of Dahl meanness and nastiness but it is great story with many wonderful characters, budding relationships, and ultimately a very happy ending.
I was thus incredibly disappointed when we borrowed this DVD from our local library. The screenwriter took far too much liberty in changing things. I found it crude and insulting to the memory of Roald Dahl. If you have read the book, you know, for example, that the two horrible aunts are "disposed of" by the peach quite early in the story. In this movie, the aunts live on and actually follow poor James and his friends to New York City. Unbelievable.
Do read or listen to James and the Giant Peach (along with Matilda, the BFG, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) but skip this movie. If you do want to see a Roald Dahl movie, you would be much better off with either Matilda or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Mind you, neither of these is as good as the books they portray, particularly the latter, but they are still pretty good movies.
- I really enjoyed this movie
However since I upgraded to a widescreen TV, this letterboxed edition just doesn't cut it anymore. The picture only fills a tiny little area in the middle of the screen.
Disney, please remaster this great movie and release it on Blu-ray. With extras...
- When I first heard Tim Burton was making a film of CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, I knew the mesh of styles was a very natural fit. The same thing applies here.
However, I believe this was based on a short story. So the folks responsible for this film padded it with musical numbers -- I hate singing in my movies -- and still wound up with only 80 minutes.
And that is the ONLY reason I dropped this down to three stars. Everything works, and quite well.
- I saw it twice in theaters when it first came out. This is a wonderful story of courage that should be read to a child first then show them the DVD to bring their imagination alive.
- This dvd is excellent for all ages. Roald Dahl is the best story teller and the dvd does a good job staying in sync with the book, as movies go.
I am showing this to my Kindergarten class 15 min per day. They are loving it.
Dont hesitate to purchase this if you are young at heart and enjoy the lighter side of life.

5 comments about Baby Einstein - Baby Da Vinci - From Head to Toe.
- I couldn't figure out how to teach my daughter her anatomy so I decided to buy this video. Glad I did because within days she was dancing and pointing to the body parts.
- My son will not watch this Baby Einstein dvd. He doesn't like the drawing aspect. On one instance-it was drawing a face-and let's just be honest...babies don't have the attention span to watch something like that.
He didn't last but about 2 minutes-and that was with me trying to be chatty about it while he watched. Not one of the best Baby Einstein dvd's.
- I rented this video from the library. My 6 week old, sat in the highchair intently and cued the whole time. My 2 year old who doesn't sit for even cartoons, sat the whole time. And my 7 year old sat through the whole thing. They love it! I would recommend this to anyone with children. Now, I'm not sure if they learned anything from it, but it sure did calm the baby down.
- Personally, this is one of the Baby Einsteins I enjoy the most. My 13-month-old loves it too. Great for pointing out the child's body parts and learning to name them.
- I got a large set of Baby Einstein DVDs when my daughter was born as a gift. I found it difficult to find ones that actually captured her interst. She's very active and doesn't like to sit still. Baby Da Vinci and Baby Van Gogh seem to do the trick.

5 comments about Baby Einstein - Baby Wordsworth - First Words - Around the House.
- As a baby and a toddler, my daughter found this to be one of the more boring Baby Einstein videos. There are not enough animals and music in it and it is too slow moving.
- I have 5 month old twin girls that love all the Baby Einstein DVD's. This one in paticular is so great because it has sign language that goes along with it. My girls love the puppets and watch it in the morning when they are first wakeing up. It rally makes them giggle.
- My daughter loves all the other Baby Einstein movies; however this one is about like watching paint dry. After the first 5 minutes my daughter doesn't have any interest, and me personally I find it a totally boring. There are some things in the movie that are cute and make my daughter laugh, but those are very few and far between.
If you are interested in baby sign language, I would strongly recommend Baby Signing Time. My daughter loves the baby signing time movies and when I put it on she comes running to watch them.
Don't waste your money on Baby Wordsmith, I would recommend any other Baby Einstein movie.
- I love the DVD but I have only had it for a few weeks and it cracked down the middle. I didn't handle it too hard just the normal use. I don't think it was made well.
- This is a great product! I bought it for my nephew and he was already signing a few words after the first time we watched it. The music and children in the video kept his attention.

- What more is there to say? My kids both love this. It is fun to sing along with the stars, and if you feel ready, sing on your own. A lot of fun!
- I just purchased my third copy of High School Musical because I've been using it constantly for two years in music classes and with my Future of the World Kids Choir. Great, positive, happy music!
- This CDG is among our favourites. Party or just singing a night away, it's a hit.
- The kids loved it! Great product. With extra songs you may not have heard before!
- I bought both cd's for my daughter and she and my son have a great time singing along. Good buy.

5 comments about Walt Disney Records : Children's Favorite Songs, Vol. 2 : 25 Classic Tunes.
- I was looking for some children's music that my toddler and I could sing along to. This is perfect. Not a sugary-sweet voice, but someone actually singing songs.
- Lordy, how I detest the Disney machine. So much skill, so little taste.
Here's what I think you'd want in a collection of songs aimed at young and maybe not so young children: bland arrangements, erring on the peppy side; a friendly, enthusiastic singer who obviously enjoys the songs (think Burl Ives); children's favorites.
Here's what you get on disc 2 of Disney's collection: bland arrangements erring on the extra bland; a crooner with a voice like yogurt who is just putting in his day at the office; and, of course, from Disney, some corporate trash.
In this case, three "favorite" songs that the children have never heard before because they're new; and will never become favorites because they are dull, wordy and impossible for young children to sing.
You can just hear the ghost of Walt whispering in the ear of the producer (Jymn Mogan), "Throw in some extra crap, the parents will pay for it and the dumb clucks won't know any better."
Disney didn't tamper with the lyrics as much as I had expected, but what sort of idiot changes "am" to "is" is "Polly Wolly Doodle"?
- The first volume of this collection is better known. I'd listen to these on cassette, while on long medical trips, such a smart move MOM!
Volume two has few songs I'm sure in my 25 plus year life I have never heard.
I must credit Disney for keeping these songs in familiar territory, without changing melody, yet adding sound effects to make a child more likely to be interested in.
Into days society the simple idea of having down time, with family, is becoming more, and more a rarity. While there will forever be some sort of music [being played], from records to tapes, cds, and now MP3 there should by family togetherness!
- There is no better way for me to bring music back to summer camp than by using this CD to pave the way. I listened to these songs when this was originally released on record when I was a child. The first time I heard this albulm on CD, I was amazed at myself because I STILL new all of the words! Listening to Larry sing was calming and comforting, making me feel safe, like a child again. I can't wait to expose the children at summer camp to these wonderful versions of classic songs!
- I liked this CD very much and sang to the songs myself since a lot of them were ones that I enjoyed as a child. But my song preferd my other CDs which I listen to on a normal basis. I bought this and #1 for my car so we could enjoy it while we drove a long distance to my parents house but he didnt show any interest. Maybe over time he will learn to enjoy??

5 comments about Baby Einstein - Baby's First Moves.
- My daughter has been addicted to this video since she has been 4 months old. It is the only Baby Einstein DVD that she would watch from the beginning to the end without becoming distracted. To this day (she is almost 16 mo old) she will sit down and watch it and do the actions with the babies on the DVD. I think she likes this video because it uses babies throughout the DVD and not just puppets. I would recommend this DVD to any parent with a young baby. She learned to clap with the video and she reached with the video. It was neat to watch her try to interact with the kids. I would sit with her and watch it and encourage her to make the same movements.
- My daughter got this video at the age of 12 months.
She was, and still now at the age of two, still frighten of this video. Everytime i put it on she runs out the room and starts crying. If i even say "Baby's First Moves" she starts saying "No" and leaves the room. I cannot find a reason why she isn't in love with this particular video. I am a collector of Baby Einstein and my daughter has been watching it since she was 3 months. This is the only video she does not like to watch. She can not wait for Einstein Pals to come out. Hopefully, this will be a hit.
- It took a bit longer for my daughter to appreciate this particular video -- about 6 months. When she started to become more interested in other people and babies she loved this one. She really enjoys watching the other babies in the program. I would recommend this one for a baby that has shown an interest in watching others.
- The very first Baby Einsteins were the best. This is pre-Disney. Now that Disney owns the rights, there has been alot of computer graphics and over stimulation that the original movies did not have. I will not be buying any more of these because of repetition and because they are losing the quality that made them great.
- My daughter is pretty young but she sure loves this DVD. She enjoys it too much. We plan to use baby signs in a near future and I know this has been helpful
