5 comments about A Musical History of Disneyland.

  1. This has just about everything you can think of from the 50 years of Disneyland's history. Every CD contains tracks from attractions and shows that are either still running, or long forgotten (like "Flight to the Moon" or "Country Bear Jamboree").

As a long time Disney fan and die-hard park goer, I truly enjoyed this set and is a must have for anyone who has been to Disneyland within the last 50 years.

  2. THIS IS JUST A MASTERPIECE, YOU REALLY NEED TO OWN IT, IF YOU DONT HAVE IT, DONT KNOW WHAT YOU`RE WAITING FOR?....
I JUST CANT STOP PLAYING THEM!!...I JUST FINISH WITH ONE CD AND THEN I SWITCH TO THE OTHER, I JUST CANT GET ENOUGH...
HELPS YOU TO SURVIVE UNTIL YOUR NEXT DISNEY TRIP. IT REALLY IS A MUST FOR DIEHARD FANS!!! AND AMAZON SERVICE...IT`S AMAZING...

  3. It is a wonderful set and well worth the price. I'm only 19 so I havent been able to experience many of these rides up close and personal, this is the next best thing!!! I recommend big time!

  4. This is a wonderful collection of all the disney attractions for the first 50 years. It sure brings back the memories and makes you want to pack your bags and board the next flight to Disneyland. I suggest this collection to any true Disney fan!

  5. I;m not going to repeat everything, this album rules. Ignore the one star and three star reviewer and buy it. Treasure it. Disney made if for us!

5 comments about Baby Einstein - Baby MacDonald.

  1. My daughter loved this DVD at 8 months and loves it even more at 17 months! This Baby Einstein DVD is the best one she's seen - lots of animals and music. It keeps her dancing, pointing and laughing.

  2. My 20-month old son loves this video! We've had it for a few months now and he still enjoys it every time! His favorite part is the handpuppets, but he gets excited over the tractors, the chickens, the children...basically everything in this video. And I love watching it too!

  3. Your child would love watching this video, but she'd also love eating cotton candy and drinking grape soda. Many pediatric and psychological studies have shown that young children know FEWER words for every hour they spend watching videos like this one. Why? Because they aren't spending time with YOU, practicing their language and social skills. There's also evidence that young children who watch TV have a greater risk of developing ADHD. Last, toddlers who grow up in homes with the TV always on in the background literally seem to have more trouble hearing themselves think. This hurts their developing linguistic abilities and consequently their abilities to engage silent reasoning.

Please protect your child -- don't let her watch any TV during her early, crucial, developmental years. We only watch TV when our little girl is asleep.

  4. I bought a copy of this one two years ago, but unfortunately my son damaged it. He loved it so much I decided to buy it again. I bought the new release of the dvd thinking it was probably better than the original. I was very dissapointed to find out that the language tracks are not available, even though it plainly states it on the back of the dvd case! I love the Baby Einstein series because its a great way to keep Spanish in my child's life. I would not have bought it again if I had known that the language features were no longer available. False advertising!!! If youre gonna do something, do it right or dont do it at all.

  5. My 9 month old daughter is absolutely thrilled to watch this video ..esp the cow !! Its great when I have to leave for work and need to divert her attention .. it should help her get some knowledge when she grows older ..

3 comments about Disney's Karaoke Series: Radio Disney Chart Toppers.

  1. Excellent songs and great sounds. My music students have worn out two copies because they sing along with it every day.

  2. Just ok, my kids used this more than some others. But like a lot of the Radio Disney songs, they quickly lost there appeal and the kids wanted something else.

  3. Just hoping to find a review for this title... if you have one... good or bad it would be nice to hear it!

    Thanks!

  1. A wonderful collection of memorable songs by outstanding artists. My grandchildrens favorite! (and mine)

  2. My favorite song is Barbra Streisand singing "Someday My Prince will Come". She does an excellent job!

  3. This is a wonderful Cd of music with talented singers. It is going to a wonderful organization for children fighting disease. A "must get" for any music lover of childrens movie titled songs.

  4. This is one of the better Disney albums....The Tony Bennett "Bare Necessities" and the Streisand "Someday My Prince Will Come" make it worth it, but the Kenny Loggins "Your Heart Will Lead You Home" is wonderful too.

  5. Wishes was not only what I was looking for but even better, Great for a disney song collectot.

2 comments about Little Mermaid and Friends.

  1. This has a few songs from the little mermaid movie, but a few others that we don't even recognize. Luckily, my Ariel-crazed daughter doesn't mind letting Ariel share the spotlight. The whole CD is pretty short, but I only paid around $6, so it's fine. I wish it had Ursula's song, though.

  2. It's known to all that Disney has printed some "and Friends" series music album. I think they're printed for the movie's special edition DVD, because they're often in stock as soon as the movie's special edition is on sale. But the albums are not good and many people said that they're waste of money if you buy them. I agree with these people. So I think of this one as well like that. When I saw this album here and listened to it with Amazon's listening samples, I had no idea that whether I should purchase it.
Just like any other albums of "and Friends" series, there are songs from the movie in the album and there're no scores. But very different from other album of the series, there're no songs from the other movies. All the songs in this album are from "The Little Mermaid". To contrast with other albums, this one seems purer. Songs in this album are very familiar to us and very classic. "Part of Your World" and "Under the Sea" are recorded in this album (Of course they should be). And, some songs from the album "Splash Hits" are in it. I was surprised that there're some songs I haven't heard before! Just like "The Laughing Song", it feels so unfamiliar to me. What's more, there's a song sung by Ariel named "One Dance" I have never heard! I love Ariel's voice very much and always try my best to collect all songs with her vocal, but why I haven't heard this one? After I found this song, it makes me think of that whether I should buy this.
Well, I think all the songs in this album are really wonderful. But it's really a pity that this album is very incomplete. "Les Poisson" and "Poor Unfortunate Souls" which are famous in the movie haven't been record in this album. In my opinion, printing all songs from the movie into the album is wiser than printing songs in the other album, though they're Little Mermaid songs as well. I think this is the best on in "and Friends" series, but because of its incompleteness, I rank it only 3 stars.

5 comments about Ralph's World.

  1. Ralph Rocks! He's a successful rock & roller (see The Bad Examples), who with the birth of his daughter began creating music for children. Unlike so many in the genre, Ralph does not dumb down the music - you'll find sounds of rock, pop, folk, country, and even surf sounds, tied to infectious fun lyrics for kids. There are familiar tunes mixed with clever originals. Ralph's effort allows both parents and children alike to enjoy his music.

Given the choice, our daughters nearly always opt to listen to Ralph, and as their parents, we are forever thankful. As an added bonus, for those with daughters, on this album you will find the gem "Bedtime Girl" which will melt your hearts.

Finally, if you ever have the opportunity to share a live show of Ralph's World with your children, do it! He is even better in a live venue, check it out!

  2. I have a toddler son and have purchased a lot of kids music. Candidly, most of the dreck marketed as kid's music is from people with little musical, vocal and songwriting ability. It is painful to listen to, like fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears -- repeat listenings can only compared to water torture. As a former musician and the son of a music teacher, I really love music -- so it's tough for me to settle for horrible music for my son. That is exactly why I am so appreciative of Ralph's World.

Ralph's World, the product of Ralph Covert and band, is completely on the other end of the spectrum. It's well written, well performed and even enjoyable for adults. I was playing in some of same midwest clubs and colleges as Ralph and his band the Bad Examples back in the 1980's/early 1990's, and I was always impressed by Ralph's songwriting and performance abilities. His style is definitely routed in the Beatles / Squeeze / Crowded House school of songwriting and performance and he is a talented songwriter. The great thing is, he's brought these talents and quality to kid's music. My 3 year old son loves Ralph's World music and we have just about everything he's put out. Even better, I enjoy listening to Ralph's World with my son and wife and we all sing along. I've recommended Ralph's World music to numerous friends with similar aged children and just about everyone ends up a fan.

Finally, we just caught our first Ralph's World concert a week ago and it was a blast. Highly recommended.

  3. This is a great band for kids who are around 5-8, and even though it's Disney, the band was around a LONG time before they signed with Disney, and this is their OWN music, not prepackaged Hannah Montana crap. My kids loved to sing along to the silly, sweet song and they still like it even though they're in 4th and 5th grade, but the band isn't so sugary sweet that it drives the parents insane. Ralph is a real singer-songwriter and his songs are smart and funny and he doesn't sing down to the kids. We liked this better than Dan Zanes, who we also appreciate, but who seems to try too hard to appeal to parents with his songs and his guest singers. This Ralph's World album was my kids' favorite, hands down. Great for the car! We give this to other parents, and even though they're skeptical about "kids" music, they end up telling us they love it.

  4. This was the second CD by Ralph's world and my son, who is 16 months old, loved the first one (mostly because he knew some of the songs from the disney channel). This CD is capturing his attention as well, it is entertaining my son (and his parents) almost everytime we drive our car for more than 10 minutes. I recommend this CD and will likely buy his other ones as well.

  5. The original Ralphs World is still my favorite. I buy this CD for every new baby that comes along and everyone always gets more of the Ralphs World series after hearing this one. Great music for all young children and enjoyable tunes for adults also.

  1. The CDs included in this set are nice. Kind of like a walk down memory lane since it includes old and current Disney songs. It's good for the young and young-at-heart. Uploads to an iPod nicely.

  2. There is nothing better than listening to the most beloved Disney songs ever! This 2-disc cd is a one of a kind with plenty of joyous songs to dance and listen to. It not only has the more updated songs, but it also has the classics we know and love! You get to feel like you're a kid again. It's wonderful. I would reccomend it to all ages.

  3. I am a HUGE Disney movie and Disney park fan. This CD is a wonderful compliation of the ride soundtracks as well as songs from various Disney movies, both old and new.

Highly recommended to all Disney fans!!!!!

  4. This is a fantastic compilation that takes you chronologically through decades of classic and more recent songs from Walt Disney Records. The first CD features music dating from the 1930's such as the quite amusing "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf", and hits the favorites from many Disney movies from the 40's, 50's and 1960's while adding theme songs used for the classic Disney park rides such as "Its a Small World", "Yo Ho (A Pirates Life for Me)", and "Grim Grinning Ghosts" from the Haunted Mansion.

The second CD covers many favorites from 1979 through 2006. I enjoyed the classics from the first CD the most. The second CD is very enjoyable as well. The jacket for the CD is very nice and includes an interesting narrative about each song.

  5. If you like all things Disney you will love this. The recordings are the actual ones from the films and I found that fact most enjoyable.

5 comments about Disney's Sing Along Songs - Peter Pan: You Can Fly!.

  1. I had this on VHS growing up, and it was a daily big deal to watch it. I was highly dissappointed to learn that, upon purchasing the DVD, there are two songs that were left out. These are:
Lady And The Tramp: He's A Tramp
    Little Mermaid: Under The Sea.

Deffinatley go for the VHS if you wnat the full effect.

  2. This movie is one of the classics. Here are the songs:

    "You Can Fly"-Peter Pan
    "The Beautiful Briny"-Bedknobs and Broomsticks
    "Colonel Hathi's March"-The Jungle Book
    "I've Got No Strings"-Pinocchio
    "Step in Time"-Mary Poppins
"When I See an Elephant Fly"-Dumbo
"The Merrily Song"-The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

Just buy it. Nothing good will come of it.

  3. Featuring only one song from Peter Pan- "You Can Fly", this is a disappointing addition to the Disney Sing Along Songs collection.

Other songs include The Beautiful Briny (Bedknobs & Broomsticks), Colonel Hathi's March (The Jungle Book), I've Got No Strings (Pinocchio), Step In Time (Mary Poppins), When I See An Elephant Fly (Dumbo) and The Merrily Song (The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr Toad), totalling only 7 songs.

Granted, singing along to Colonel Hath's March is lots of fun, but overall this is a little disappointing. I'm sure it'll keep younger underdemanding kids occupied though. The average Disney Sing Along Songs video or DVD is excellent- thus making this Peter Pan Sing Along not quite average.

  4. I have a two year old who loves this video, especially the marching elephants. We now have regular marching around the house. He has now collected up his toy elephants we got from the zoo last year and has them march with him or just pretends they are having a parade. He always loved parades, and the elephant parade in this video is something he is very taken by. The only draw back to this video is the "you can fly" part (from Peter Pan) is repeated so many times, I think a two year old could begin to believe that they could.

  5. My 2 years old son loves this video! Songs include the elephant marching song from the Jungle Book. My son marches all around yelling "company march". Disney sing alongs are the best videos for 2 year olds.

5 comments about Classic Disney, Vol. 3: 60 Years of Musical Magic.

  1. This CD is a wonderful collection of some 25(!) of the most beloved Disney hits. Indeed, the songs on this CD are all songs from the great Disney movies that you remember from your childhood. There's "You've Got A Friend In Me" from Toy Story, "Oo-De-Lally" from Robin Hood, and "I Wan'na Be Like You" from The Jungle Book (I love that Louis Prima!).What's also wonderful is that the hits are from the great Disney movies right up to the present, with such songs as "Jack's Lament" from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

My whole family loves these songs, and often sings along with them. My personal favorite is The Silly Song from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - I love that scene!

Buy this CD you won't regret it!

  2. This third CD of Disney music is a good mixture of the old with the new. Track 1: "Colors of the Wind" from POCAHONTAS is one of the best songs composed to date for a motion picture. Track 18: "Bella Notte" from LADY AND THE TRAMP brings back many memories as does Track 21: "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" from television show and movies. Going back even further is Track 24: "Little April Shower" from BAMBI, which is an interesting composition representing nature's beauty, fury and return to tranquility. Track 6: "Les Poissons" is a great number from THE LITTLE MERMAID that is well composed musically but also is used to advance the story of the film. This is yet another great CD in this series.

  3. Disney has once again put some of its most liked songs into a single album. The songs on this CD are some of my favorite songs and I'd recomend the CD for anyone that has kids or just likes the songs.

  4. Burton movies are great. Burton movies with Elfman's music... well, they're out of this world. Nightmare before Christmas is my favorite movie of all times, and someone who hasn't seen it, doesn't have to make those comments. It's a movie full of great feelings; plus the music is great. Someone who hasn't seen the movie wouldn't understand "Jack's Lament"... I invite Caroline to see it and THEN critize it. BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIMES.

  5. These Disney CD's are so great. People of all ages can enjoy them. My favorite is volume 2. My 3 year old LOVES it but so does my 22 year old friend!
