  1. The songs & artists are very good for this recording. My son & I dance every night to Bett Midlar's Baby Mine before I put him in his crib. Wonderful songs.

  2. A wonderful collection of memorable songs by outstanding artists. My grandchildrens favorite! (and mine)

  3. My favorite song is Barbra Streisand singing "Someday My Prince will Come". She does an excellent job!

  4. This is a wonderful Cd of music with talented singers. It is going to a wonderful organization for children fighting disease. A "must get" for any music lover of childrens movie titled songs.

  5. This is one of the better Disney albums....The Tony Bennett "Bare Necessities" and the Streisand "Someday My Prince Will Come" make it worth it, but the Kenny Loggins "Your Heart Will Lead You Home" is wonderful too.

5 comments about Disneymania, Vol. 3.

  1. You will love the new spin on your favorite disney classics. trust me it's great.

  2. I love how disney stars put the voices to disney songs from movies .

  3. Perfect gift for a tiny-bopper. I normally dread the idea of finding room for all the gifts after the holidays but the gift of music was the way to go this year. My little girl is almost 8 and Disney is not risky with its music.

  4. I purchased this to keep my kids occupied on vacation, and it performed beautifully! I can recommend it fully.

  5. Followinf the series of Disneymania, this CD has a very good quality as the predecesors. Some sings are already in the previous CD's of the serie, so this is not reaching the 5 stars. However, the combination of Disney's music with famous and good singers is still an excellent option for kids.

2 comments about Handy Manny.

  1. I bought this item for my son who is 2yrs thinking it would be songs directly from the show. Well only a few songs 2 were on there he will not listen to the rest because they are not as upbeat as the main ones. So if i had a choice to buy it again i wouldn't i wait until songs became avaiable on itunes or napster to at least listen to them.

  2. Pretty good collection of songs. My girls love to listen to this CD over and over. They get really excited during Pat's, Stretch's, and Rusty's solo songs. They are looking forward to a Handy Manny Part II.

5 comments about Mousercise.

  1. I agree this is not as good as the original Mousercise was. But it has good dance music to help you shed those unwanted pounds and will work to do that if you dance to it every day.
I would like to find the original again. When my son was just a few years old, we use to dance to the original Mousercise, and I lost 35 lbs. in just six weeks time. It was so much fun! And it will definitely bring back some great memories as well. Don't worry about the moves, just dance and enjoy yourself.

  2. I still dance to this music, my favorite is not included in the new album "Get the money, Uncle Scrooge's money". The sound quality on my cassette is fading, I really wished Disney would have put the original on CD not just for me but for the new generation to hear.

  3. This remake is not as good as the original. Don't bother buying it.

  4. I see a pattern in the reviews for this album. I too own the original album, you can actually find it on cd here on amazon, by the way, and love it! The songs were fun and catchy, they had a good beat and the excercise routines were easy to do.

The new album is NOT the old! It has club mixes of two of the songs from the first mousercise album (I Wan'na be like you, Ducks Dance too), and a few new songs (mousercise theme, chart of the heart, tigger-cise, Mickey's Workout). The rest of the songs are club mixes of popular Disney songs. All in all a fast paced fun album actually. I agree with one reviewer, there are a few songs that really were a stretch and shouldn't have been on here. "Whole new world" and "Beauty and the Beast" "Whole new world" come to mind. The album would have been better if they had really thought about the songs and not just thrown the most popular ones on here. Example..."One Jump ahead" instead of "whole new world" from Aladdin.

The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are no instructions as there was with the first album. There is a poster of a few excercises you can do, but they don't go with any of the songs. One of the songs, Mickey's Workout sounds wonderful and they talk you through the excercises but the moves are too complicated to just say. You would really need to see the moves done. Here is an example "Cross your left foot, Right behind your right foot, slide your right foot, over to the right, Right! Kick your left foot, Back in front your right foot, Slide your right foot, further to the right." If someone can do this on the first or second try I'd be amazed.

All in all it is a fun album. But I would definately recommend picking up the first version of Mousercise, or the foreign version of the remake (which has a lot of the old songs redone-19 in all), to go with this one. Treat the first Mousercise as a low level workout and this one as advanced.

And if you really want to here a few fun Disney albums, may I recommend the following?
    Splash Dance (very very fun)
    Mousercise (original)
    Disco Mickey (fantastic!)

  5. I agree with the former reviewer. I have fond memories of dancing to Mickey's Mousercise as a child. Half of the fun was following the charted choreography included with the album. (Mine was a record.:)) I teach preschool now and was SO excited to see this listed as a CD release. . . until I saw the song list and listened to them. What is "Part of Your World" doing on an "exercise" album? This CD has a few of the classic songs: Ducks Dance Too, I Wanna Be Like You. But the name is misleading. It's just another hopped-up re-release of Disney songs mostly. Where are the fun, choreographed songs like "Bug-A-Boo," and "Get the Money?" I am SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

5 comments about Julie Andrews Selects Her Favorite Disney Songs.

  1. For Julie Andrews rabid fans it's something to behold, a rarest of all rare. It is a cd that I thought would never come to light. WE're still waiting for "Rose_Marie", "Julie and Carol At Lincoln Center", "JUlie Andrews Live At Osaka" and "Love Me Tender" to be released as cds. I wonder if Sepia records couldn't do something about that...

  2. Yes, these are all classics. I was disappointed that Julie Andrews was not singing them all herself, but there is something about the original cast recordings! Great selection that brings back many memories. Nice to have so many favorites all on one disc!

  3. Personally, I think this is a splendid CD. It highlights many old favorites from Disney, including most of my favorites, such as Part of Your World (one of my favorites) and Beauty and the Beast. Julie Andrews and I have much in common, apparently. This is an excellent source to get favorites, personally selected by someone who knows her Disney.

Contrary to what many are saying, if you actually pay attention to the title of the CD, you are able to tell that this is just a collection of favorites, not actual favorites. If you were so compelled to buy the CD and eager to hear Julie Andrew's sing, then you would know that she is unable to produce such a project like this. (Hence the "selects", not sings.)

All in all, if you're looking for a CD to revisit your favorite highlights, this is the one. Definetly worth the price (though that's not very high).

  4. Anyone who is a fan of Julie Andrews (or Disney for that matter) is aware that Julie can no longer sing as she once did due to a botched vocal cord surgery. The album does not state that Julie Andrews sings, just that she selects. This a great collection of WONDERFUL disney songs endorsed by Disney's Anniversary Chairperson and a true Disney star. You will enjoy this CD as a first, or maybe second to your disney music collection.

    Good Choices Julie!

  5. I got this thinking it was going to be Julie Andrews singing these great songs. It's not! It's the original film versions, which is ok but still then file it under "DISNEY MUSIC" or something other than Julie Andrews. In record stores, it's located under Julie Andrews which makes you think, it's really her singing the tunes. I think it's great she is the Disneyland spokesperson for the 50th anniversary and I can't think of anyone better but this CD is very misleading. Let's hope she actually records something again really soon, like "Julie Andrews SINGS her Favorite Disney tunes".

  1. A great CD for any child. There are a few old familiar tunes (Baby Bumblebee, The Name Game, and Three Little Fishes) and a quite few new favorites (Pizza Pie Song, Way Down Here Beneath the Ocean, and I'm in Love with a Big Blue Frog). Our kids love to sing along.

5 comments about Mary Poppins (Fully Restored Limited Edition).

  1. I did it. I bought a Disney movie -- I mean a kids-oriented one. And then... I actually showed it to my kids (first I watched it again, just to make sure).

This is so totally out of character for me, that it *does* deserve a gasp of surprise.

Because Disney. DISNEY! No positive male role-models DISNEY! Every male character is a fool, a tool, a slob, or a villain DISNEY! Forget about little boys, because only girls are celebrated DISNEY! And yes, I still think that is the case for Disney. And I wonder who all those little girls will grow up to marry, when all the boys are fools, tools, slobs, or villains.

But Julie Andrews. JULIE ANDREWS! Mary Poppins!

So I cracked. And I bought it.

And I had a few twinges on my view-through -- the put-down of men as "rather stupid" in Mrs. Bank's first number; and the presumption that Mr. Banks' flying a kite with his children was somehow MORE valuable than his daily providing for them (I do appreciate the value of kite-flying, just not the value judgment); and the idea that the kids will respect a nanny who is sweet and pretty, but not one who smells weird.

But I went ahead and showed it to the kids, and I'm so glad, because we have been singing the songs like crazy and laughing a lot. The absolute fantasy of it is marvelous, and the songs are beautiful. I like how Bert treats Mary. I like how straight Mary is, as though she isn't magical, when she clearly is.

    Very nice.

Now I'm wondering about Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Would anyone be so kind as to enlighten me about whether that one is as good? Thanks!

  2. I have numerous happy memories of seeing Mary Poppins since the first time (on its re-release in 1980). I go back to it time and again and have never been bored yet! Highlights - the horse race and the dancing cartoon waiter penguins; Chim Chim Chiree and the acrobatic chimney sweeps; Mrs Banks (Glynis Johns) and her 'Votes for Women'; Reginald Owen's Admiral (with a ship on the roof of his house!); the gorgeous 'Feed the Birds'; the special effects in 'A Spoonful of Sugar'; Ed Wynn as the giggling Uncle Albert; and of course the brilliant performances from Julie Andrews as Mary, Dick van Dyke as Bert/Mr Dawes senior, Karen Dotrice and Matthew Garber as the children Jane and Michael, Hermoine Baddeley as the maid, and David Tomlinson as Mr Banks. Absolutely brilliant and definitely makes you remember being a child with a big smile on your face. Those who don't like it possibly came to it too late in life, but I can't fault it.

  3. Fabulous. If you like singing, dancing, life lessons, and have an imagination this is for you

  4. Mary Poppins (40th Anniversary Edition)Excellent video; my granddaughter just LOVES it; she has been watching it repeatedly since she received it. Highly recommend this movie for 3 years and up.

  5. I have not received the DVD. When I try to make contact with the seller through email, the email address is "no longer available."

5 comments about Disney's Sing Along Songs - Home on the Range.

  1. I could watch this Sing-A-Long song over and over. I love to sing and dance, even though I'm not too good either. One of the Best Disney Sing-A-Longs they ever did; though I wish they could have added the song Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah instead of that Stanly Dinosaur round-up, but oh well.
I reccomend this DVD to anyone who loves Home on the Range and all the other Disney Sing-A-Longs.

  2. Do any of you know whether this DVD includes a clip of 'A Cowboy Needs A Horse' from an old disney short film ? It'll be great if anyone could confirm this

  3. HOME ON THE RANGE is probably the worst Disney animated feature ever- and then they brought out a DVD to coincide with that bitter disappointment of a movie. This DVD takes on the form of a mini-story based on the movie and features Home On The Range songs, and western related songs. Unless you are a fan of this type of music or simply a Disney Sing Along Songs fan, run for the hills and avoid.

  4. The sing-along and karaoke versions were terrific, and the word games were good for little kids.My only gripe about this DVD was that we really could've done without those kids hamming it up in front of the camera-all they did was grin at the camera and do the same "dance step" over and over again. My advice is to skip the boring "dance' part and view the rest of the DVD.

  5. Wow, my 2yr.old boy and 4 yr.old girl were SO entertained
by this Sing-Along-Songs video! They both ran around with
their costume cowboy hats... it was hysterical. The dance
routines by the kids at the end are a little corny, but
kids seem to love it...what can I say?

5 comments about Classic Disney, Vol. 5.

  1. This si a wonderful collection of some of the best Disney songs out there. It offers a wide variety too. I strongly recomend this CD to anyone who loves Disney music.

  2. If you buy this because the label led you to believe that you were getting the Humphrey the Bear trash collecting song from "In The Bag". You are going to be disappointed. The song entitled "The Humphrey Hop" that is listed as being from that cartoon actually appears here as a choral piece with the same toon, but none of the same lyrics that were in the short, no vocals by Bill Thompson, the voice of The Ranger.

  3. The idea of issuing musical selections from Disney films, features and other areas of their world of entertainment continues to be quite satisfying. If you love the world that Walt Disney created and has continued on to this day, this CD continues to give you little musical vignettes across that span of time that are very nostalgic and uplifting as they did with the first four. Track 1: "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" from MULAN sung by Donny Osmond is really a great uplifting song. Track 22: "He's A Tramp" by Peggy Lee from LADY AND THE TRAMP is a classic. I hope they keep these CDs coming.

  4. These tunes are Classic Disney movie songs. Highly recommended.

  5. AGAIN, I invite Carrie to see the movie... Burton and Elfman movies are the best. Great director and great composer.

2 comments about Bear in the Big Blue House: A Bear for All Seasons.

  1. My three year old has a new interest in the Bear songs. Since this is not one of the most recent Disney shows, it has been difficult to find "Bear in the Big Blue House". I can always count on Amazon.

  2. Bear does it again teaching children the seasons while entertaining at the same time. This is a good way to keep you child busy while they learn. Bear teaches values and helpful information such as seasons, shapes, colors, potty training, brushing teeth, bathing, sharing, friendship, and alot more.
