1. Beware beware beware folks. For those of you who have arrived here via 'You want everything by Hank',to access the list to try and complete your Hank Williams' collection, then do beware of many of the vendor listings not matching the items as set out on the main Amazon listing. In my efforts to finish my quest, I have ended up with 2 CDs, this item here being one of them, which must have been put together independently, presumably courtesy of US Public Domain law, but do not have the correct takes of the tracks as described; instead, they are the 'Hank with his guitar on his own' type tracks, not later overdubs. Please note that it is not the fault of the main reviewer for all this collection, Mr Reagan, but simply a chancer slipping his own and erroneous version on the listing. So, do beware, maybe email the vendor before buying to see if the correct tracks are used? Cheers



2. These songs are like no others you have ever heard on his other CD's or Albums. I now know why I love his music. He sings these songs, with a message, straight from the heart. His belief in Christianity is evident and I believe he truely knew his Savior. The songs really "hit home" when it comes to the reality of death and faith. They are extremely moving. A different side of Hank. We will meet him in heaven some day.



3. My compliments to Mercury for giving us an original Hank LP on CD complete with liner notes in sterling sound quality. You get Hank's early Sterling recordings such as "Calling You", "Wealth Won't Save Your Soul", "When God Comes & Gathers His Jewels", two duets with Audrey "Jesus Remembered Me" & "Dear Brother", the now standard "I Saw The Light" and a host of tastefully overdubbed non-session demo's-"Angel of Death", "A House of Gold", "How Can You Refuse Him Now?", "I'm Gonna Sing" and "Message To My Mother". Last but not least, you have to take note of the vocal/guitar demo on "Thank God" written by Fred Rose. This is the side of Hank that is rarely seen anymore, but deserves a closer look. If you're a country gospel fan wanting to know about Hank, this is the set to buy. This is more effective than the out of print "Wait For The Light To Shine" that was issued some 6 years later than this and is a must have for any fan of country gospel or of Hank.



4. These songs come from one of the great singer/songwriters in country music. Some highlights aside form the title track include "When God Comes and Gathers His Jewels," "Jesus Remembered Me," "House of Gold," and "How Can You Refuse Him Now," but the entire collection is great and as Harlan Howard said, he was preaching just as fervantly as the minister on Sunday. This is a must have as all of the music is great and is emotional.



5. in my book hank williams is the top in all of music. this record is one of his best. he just tells it likeit is.

1. Saw this CD in a Christian Record Club and took a chance on it...was sooo glad I did! This is incredibly inspirational, downright danceable and utterly uplifting! The production is top-notch throughout!



2. Disctronica, Electric Hymns is one of my favorite cd's! The songs reflect real feelings about being a Christian, and how Christians' feel about God. The songs are all quite different, so there is sure to be something on the cd that everyone will like. I strongly recommend this cd to any fan of techno-type music!

1. Tennesse Ernie Ford has the rigth touch in his voice to make all those lovely songs of joy come to live .It is songs that I misses hearing nowadays .Tennesse Ernie Ford also sang a lot of good old christian Gospels wich I love to hear .
   He was a great singer .



2. This collection is better then the Ten Greatest series, due to the fact that it has more songs. However this CD pales in comparison to the Bear Family's Sixteen Tons or the Ultimate Collection.
