I like this cd in many ways the first well ofcoure because its a rock cd and I love rock,and anouther is the way he sings,its almost like he sings with his mind on what he thinks,but not his heart on what he feels,and I like that in a group,just because for some reasoen songs come out more better at the end,like on one song not by this group but on one song that I heard ,he keeps saying noting killed me yet or noting can kill me or even with the devil on my back I will never die,and all of thoughs examples are from the mind not the heart see with that stuff in there it makes the song sound so much better......and for americains,they like that kind of stuff head banging breath taking songs for instance on statick X they have a song call stupid,or something like that but,that song is so head banging you won't beleave it,I was jumping aroun my room just listining to it and I don't know about any one elce but rock isn't rock without your head banging or without head baning music,but there are some songs out there that aren't head banging but they still have a good tune and rithem with it, like alisen chian,he's not much of a head banger but he's more like a death tone singerby the rouch

1. Purchased the original album (US version) back in 1980, was pleased to see a re-issue of this. However it's not the original line-up. Why does K-tel do this to all re-issues? But this is a great Cd to listen to along with vol.2. They should have done the original album contents in cd form, though. ... C'mon K-tel where's that "20 Original Hits from the Original Artist" collection as in the past. Give those "Now" and "Totally Hits" people some competition!

1. This compilation made my long freeway commute to work more bearable. I don't care if it reaches the end and starts over; it bears repeating. Good solid hard rock / heavy metal tunes that I haven't heard a thousand times on the radio. I was blown away by the way Circus of Power's "Waitin' For The Wizard" deconstructs itself part way through to the point of sounding like more than one song playing at the same time, and then somehow pulls itself back together. And the Cycle Sluts from Hell deliver the level of quality one would expect from a title like "I Wish You Were A Beer". A jammin' disc that would make a great addition to any head banger's compliation collection.



2. This is good solid metal. All the songs (but one) rock with the best, as the title of the CD suggests. The one poor song is "I Wish You were a Beer", because of its retarded lyrics and generally poor sound. However, don't let that get you down, for "Battle Angels", "Fire and Love", "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and "Waitin' for the Wizard" are all excellent. I would even say that "Battle Angels" by itself, with its crazy rippin' guitars and mad vocals, is worth buying the CD for. Listen to this CD if you like hard and angry metal that's awesomely well done. It's got variety and great quality.



3. "Hey there poseur, I wish you were a beer!", such infinitely wise words from the raunchy rock vixens Cycle Sluts From Hell. Their own CD? Sadly out of print. I'm glad I found this comp that includes it, my Cycle Sluts tape is on it's last legs. The song is all about how they wish that all the poseur guys in bars that hit on them were beers. You wont know whether to giggle madly or start a mosh pit.

Each song has a good paragraph written about it, as well as Billboard Chart and recording information. It is very informative, and a must have for people who love music from the 70's. And also, all these songs have been digitally remixed and remastered for great sound quality.



2. This cd has more than just lyrics, this cd takes on a life of its won when played! There is no other way of explaining it, you must buy the cd to experience the emotions!
