3 comments about Authentic Worship: Celtic Worship.
- The song, Pierced, has become one of our church's favourites. Guests who have heard us sing along to this song have been close to tears at the end. I've been asked for the CD's name several times after this song has played. We cannot believe that this song is not well known (it's impossible to find the lyrics on the web at this time). Purchase the CD for this song, and you'll be glad you did.
- There are only a couple of tracks that are truly Celtic hymns, most are ordinary contemporary Christian songs, and all are new age arrangements. Definitely not a Celtic album.
- You've probably heard these songs before if you're familiar with contemeporary christian pop and hymns. The lyrics are not anything deep on any of these songs. All the songs are sung by females except for one. I guess if you like new age celtic music you will enjoy this. There just isn't anything new and nothing too deep.

5 comments about Swing Praise.
- To those who have expressed disappointment in that this does not swing as well as the works of the greats of swing, I would agree. This is a hybrid and won't satisfy the genre purists. Nonetheless I think it does a very good job of mixing in a reasonable swing feel into the praise genre (which can be very predictable at times). Those looking for a pleasant and happy stylistic mix that they may not have heard before should consider this CD. Those looking for something on a par with the classics of swing should look elsewhere.
- I wasn't sure what to expect when I got this from the library. Frankly, I was sure that I was going to hate it, especially on slow songs that I love like "Amazing Grface" and "As the Deer". I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it, especially the songs that I was worried about. Some of the other songs had to "grow" on me. Now I love it! As for some reviewers saying that this isn't swing, there is a swing beat to the melodies and you could easily dance swing to this, so I would classify this as swing.
- I'm thinking... what's inside the head of the producer(s)?!? What make they think those tunes are swing!?!? It doesn't sounds swing at all! The producer listen to much to Elvis Presley or Cliff Richard than Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Rich, Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, etc...
- Great sounding new type swing. Comparision with the Squirel Nut Zippers is apt. Even greater lyrics; best of the bunch if your into Christian music!
- Swing praise turns what used to be slow hymn songs into fantastic swinging rhythms. I've listened to this awesome CD time and time again and still love it. Swing praise has great lyrics put to a swing beat that will have you singing in no time.

2 comments about CCM Top 100: Greatest Songs In Christian Music, Vol. 1.
- I really enjoyed this particular compilation because it included hits over a wide timespan. I wasn't limited to hits from just the recent years, so I was thrilled to see this CD encompassed even the songs I grew up on in the Christian arena. I would recommend this particular product to anyone who wishes to have a wide range of contemporary Christian music.
- After painstaking work, CCM Magazine came up with a list of what it considers the top 100 Christian songs of all times. But instead of simply creating the list or even releasing a book (which they did), they also decided to release those songs on four CD's. This is the first of that set.
This CD takes songs randomly from the list. These aren't the top 25 or the bottom 25. They worked hard to mix the songs from different decades as well to make sure the set was well rounded. For instance, they've got "Praise the Lord" from the 70's and "God of Wonders" from just a few years ago.
Naturally, with any list, you'll get some obvious choices. This time, the obvious choices include such classics as "Awesome God," "The Great Adventure", "Where There is Faith," "The Warrior is a Child," "Place in This World," and "What if I Stumble." There are even one of two songs I'm not a big fan of that I knew had to be included, like "People get Ready...Jesus is Comin'" and "Heaven."
And, equally as naturally, there are songs on the list that wonder why they are included. For me, the biggest question is "Stand." I'm a huge Susan Ashton fan, but always felt this was one of her weaker songs. Surely they could have found something else to include here. "Lead Me On" is another curious selection because I can think of several other Amy Grant songs that belong here instead. Not that I don't like that song. Of course, without seeing the entire list, it's hard to judge in this case.
23 of the songs are the original recordings by the original artists. Two of the songs are tribute recordings. The first is "When God Ran" as recorded by Across the Sky. When I first heard they'd be recording this song, I knew it was a perfect fit, and I was right. Also rerecorded here is "Oh Lord, You're Beautiful." This song is covered by Warren Barfield, who does a very good job with it.
Almost every song on this two-disc set has a place in my heart. I could go on about many of them and what they've met to me over the years. And if you've listened to Christian music for a significant length of time, you'll feel the same way. This is a great way to get many of those songs together in one place.
