5 comments about Disney's Lullaby Album, Vol. 2.

  1. This is the best Lullaby CD. My daughter goes to sleep with it on evry night. Its very relaxing, and I enjoy the music as well.It was a great buy!

  2. I enjoy mellow music but this is almost sleep inducing. It's actually quite boring and could not classify it as romantic if thinking of using it as any kind of background music. But I imagine it can lull the little ones

  3. LOVE IT! I use this CD during my daughter's bedtime routine. It is VERY mellow. It's perfect for bedtime.

  4. I love this CD. I bought this for my son almost two years ago and we still enjoy listening to it. I just recently bought the Disney Lullaby Album Vol 1 for my daughter, and I definatly prefer vol 2 to vol 1. The entire CD is quiet and soothing. At no point does the music rise up and get too loud, it's very consistant which is good. So I don't have to worry about him being woken up by a burst of loud music. Hands down this one is much better than vol 1. We might have to buy a second copy of this one.

  5. It takes only a few moments after I start this CD and both of my kids are out cold!! It is so soft, soothing and a pleasure to listen to. The music is fantastic!

2 comments about Rockabye Baby!: Lullaby Renditions of AC/DC.

  1. I was looking for a unique gift for my friend who was having her second baby. What I didn't know, until after I gave her the CD, is that she dispises lullaby music. I heard back from her this week and she let me know that they actually use this CD with their son and love it. Some of the songs are not easily identifiable as AC/DC, but some are right on the money.

  2. this is a great product and me and my son enjoy all the titles in this series.

5 comments about Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of The Cure.

  1. I love this CD-more importantly, so does my baby. I play it at bathtime and once he is dressed and fed-my son drifts of to sleep becuase this music is so relaxing. And I am glad I don't have to listen to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or Lullabye & Goodnight a million times. I am a Cure fan and will be getting more of the Lullabye Rendition Cd's Like the Eagles and The Rolling Stones.

  2. My son goes to sleep at night or down for a nap in a wink when this music is playing. It is so soothing and Mom and Dad like listening to it as well. The U2 one is also a great one.

  3. This is a review long in the making. Our daughter just turned one, and we have been using this album as her goodnight music multiple times every day for a year and are STILL not tired of it. That is a strong enough review alone to pull the trigger. The Cure seems to translate well into this type of music, much better than the other albums, which I've listened to from checking out of the library. This is the one to buy for your staple night night music. You won't grow tired of it!

  4. Of all the rockabye cd's this is my favorite. It retains the pretty moodiness of the Cure yet is played in lilting and soothing tones that my baby falls asleep to. And on the nights she doesn't fall asleep quickly I don't mind listening to it over and over and over.

  5. My 1 month old son loves this cd. I purchased this one (his favorite), plus Smashing Pumpkins and Bjork, which all work well to help him fall asleep. They are all very soothing and relaxing. I enjoy listening to them as well.

5 comments about Beethoven's Wig, Vol. 2: More Sing-Along Symphonies.

  1. There are just as many great sing alongs in this CD as in the first. Most of the tracks are very singable (the Brahms piece is difficult). Lots of fun and plenty of goofy lyrics.

  2. My kids absolutely love this. They could listen to it over and over. I like it as well. A great, fun way to learn to love classical music.

  3. As a music teacher, this album and the other two are incredibly useful and fun!!! I'm so glad this fellow has done what he's done!

  4. One and two are so great. Hope there's a third coming out. What a great way to introduce children to wonderful music and entertain the parents and grandparents in the process. The words are ingenious. There's even a set of lyrics included in case you miss some nuance. .

  5. We bought Beethoven's Wig 1 and loved it. My kids (ages 5 and 9) really enjoy listening over and over. Number 2 is almost as good. All of the songs are amusing and a couple are very funny. The lyrics are clever and do help you become familiar with composers and their music. I like that the pieces are played again in the second half without the lyrics. I highly recommend it for kids who enjoy music.

5 comments about For the Kids III.

  1. My kids 11, 6, and 3 really enjoy this album....especially the Poop in the Potty song, which has sufficient grossness to entertain them for miles. The adults like the new versions of old favorties, including a techno-style Clementine, Wheels on the Bus with great banjo!, and Itsy Bitsy Spider. Some of the other tracks are too moody for my kids and too weird for us, but overall a great buy!

  2. I own the first two For The Kids albums and love them. This third album is not so great. "The Lint Song" is so negative that it overshadows all the other songs. It talks about "your final date with death" and "I lacerate your throat and kick your face in half". Did Netwerk Music actually listen to "The Lint Song", by MC Lars, before they produced this cd? They should be ashamed of themselves!

  3. Very good album and a good compliment to the first two. Our family (2 toddlers, an 8 year old and a preteen) like many of the songs, especially "I Want To Have Fun", "See You On The Moon", "The Babysitter's Here", and "Does Your Cat Have A Mustache?". These are very well written songs that don't grow old very quickly.

There are two songs we've removed (we purchased the MP3s and use our mp3 player to listen). We didn't load "The Poopsmith Song" and "The Lint Song" because we thought these were inappropriate for our toddlers. We're kind of tired of all the f_rt and poop humor in kids things so lyrics like "don't poop on your sister" just seem too obviously pandering to that theme. The Lint Song talks about "... doing a number two on your parents lawn ..." when under the influence of lint and also tells of a woman who died of lint exposure. Too close to a drug reference and a little frightening for the young ones. If you don't have an MP3 player but have a computer, you can still rip the music and just burn the tracks you like.

The other songs are also good. Even the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and the "Wheels on the Bus" turn out very well.

  4. this cd is terrific. My children LOVE it. The Poopsmith song is my 2 yr olds theme song at the moment while she is potty training. If you are looking for some music for the whole family this is the cd.

  5. Our 14 month old listens to this CD daily! She also loves the first two. Great purchase!

5 comments about The Mozart Effect - Music for Babies - Playtime to Sleepytime.

  1. Purchased as a gift, but glad to receive it. Haven't listened to it myself, but I like Mozart.

  2. My baby boy just like it..... and my wife is enjoying it toooo.... It is a very soothing CD to listen to. It is definitely worth the $$...

  3. I bought the "Mozart Effect" CD and a few other classical CD's; Bach and another Mozart after my daughter was born in late 1998. We had a difficult time getting her to sleep at night and decided to try playing music to soothe her. The "Mozart Effect" CD worked every time. As soon as she heard the Toy Symphony play she would relax and just listen to the music until she fell asleep. It's been more than a year since we played the CD, and recently when she was ill, she asked to listen to "her music". It still has the same calming effect. Regardless of the controversy surrounding Mozart's ability to make babies more intelligent, I think this music is very comforting and enjoyable.

  4. I received several classical music CD's as gifts before my daughter was born, and out of all of them (also including classical CD's I had already owned) this is definitely my favorite. It stands out because it is not full of simply "traditional" arrangements but rather is very light and playful - there are all sorts of cute little chirping and whirring noises that add to it as well. It is just a lot of fun, and provides the perfect background for cuddling with your new little one.

There is one comment below from someone who thought the music was too simple and was of poor quality. I would agree that the music is very simple (not a bad thing), but disagree with the notion that it is poor quality. Anyway, this should be just one CD in a library of different types of music, classical and other, to help your child's music appreciation develop. If it happens to expand other developmental skills as well, even better!

  5. The Mozart Effect - Music for Babies is a pretty good disc. Admittedly not the best Mozart recordings around, but then my child is not exactly picky. I prefer Genie's Angels All Around as a lullaby CD but either The Mozart Effect or Angels All Around would make excellent baby shower gifts.

5 comments about Hymns.

  1. This is a favorite CD for my little kids and me to listen to together. It is a treasure today, especially since hymns are not being sung in as many churches anymore- a great opportunity for toddlers to learn ancient hymns full of truth and deep theology. The voices of the children singing are beautiful and upbeat. The price of the CD is just right!

  2. I have not received this item. I got an email stating that i would be rebated.

  3. Cute, sweet, simple hymns sung by children. The price is right (very cheap- and will make your heart smile. I bought one for myself and my brother.

  4. The selection of traditional hymns is lovely. The voices on the CD are easy to listen to over and over again. Highly suggest this CD for parents wanting to introduce their children to the songs we all grew up with singing in our pews Sunday morning!

  5. Good music for both kids and adults to listen to and sing along with.

5 comments about Child's Gift of Lullabyes.

  1. This has been a family favorite since it came out. The songs are so sweet and so singable. I love giving this for a baby or shower gift. Now that my friends are expecting grandchildren, they are getting them, too!

  2. I guarantee that these beautiful soothing lullabyes will ease even the fussiest of babies to sleep. I particularly like that there are instrumental versions of each of the songs, so that you can add your own voice to these night time melodies. My sixteen year old daughter still smiles when we bring this out to listen to them. These songs are a part of her and her infant years. I know someday in the future she will be singing these to her babies as well. Wonderful for your baby and perfect as a gift!

  3. i love this set of lullabyes. i bought it 15 years ago when i was pregnant with my first baby. i have tried others through the years but not one of them was nearly as good as this one. i just recently had my 5th baby and after my fourth i gave the disk i had to my sister since she was having her first. so i ordered a new one for my little one and was sent down memory lane. the memories that came flooding back as each note played on broke and swelled my heart at the same time. i had forgotten how important these songs were not just for the moment but forever. i will not be giving this one away! my 4 and 7 year old have also fallen in love with the songs and now we listen or sing them every night at bed time. making memories

  4. A Child's Gift of Lullabyes was given to me as a gift in cassette tape form when I had my baby daughter. Now she is a teenager and we still love these songs. For me they also bring back those special babyhood days. We lost the tape so decided to replace it with a CD and continue to enjoy it. Makes a great baby gift!

  5. We LOVE this CD!! I have bought at least 12 of these for my grandchildren and for baby gifts. It's just the sweetest, most soothing, calming music that is also great for parents and grandparents to sing along with. (words are included) All of my little ones love it. When we play the CD at nap or bedtime, the babies will go to sleep anywhere - grandparent's house, trips, friend's house for a nap, etc. It tells them it is time to go to sleep.

3 comments about Children's Favorites.

  1. This CD mostly delivered what was expected of it. The only critique I have is that some of the tempos could have been cleaner, and that it should be cross-referenced by the other composers besides J. S. Bach.

  2. This is the most wonderful collection to have on 1 CD. Children from birth on up can benefit from this musical collage.
Songs from the "Nutcracker" are familiar and comfortable for many children. What child wouldn't love "March of the Tin Soldiers?"
Selections from Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Animals" is a must in my creative movement library. Every child should be exposed to this music. Well,I believe every age should be.

  3. With total playing time clocking in at 78:04 minutes of music, you'll be paying about 6-cents/minute, which is a better bargain than long distance phone calls, and often more rewarding!

This disc is far superior than most other "Classics for Kids"-type recordings I've sampled for a number of reasons:

    1) This album was expertly engineered. The production quality on this disc is first-rate from start to finish with crisp, clear sound.

    2) The pieces were expertly picked. There is wonderful sonic variety here, spanning hundreds of years of wonderful melodies. There are orchestral pieces, harpsichord pieces, solo piano, and a piano concerto, capped off with Saint-Seans whimsical Carnival of the Animals. What kid (or adult) wouldn't love that?

    3) The performances are, without exeption, expert! The pieces were definately screened for quality as well as content. Many are simply a joy to behold. Walter Klein is a particular stand-out, almost giddily prancing through Schumann's pieces. Believe it or not, he sounds even more impressive when backed up by the always inspiring Minnesota Orchestra on Mozart's Piano Concerto #17.

In short, this album is a great album even before you factor in the great price. You and your children are almost guaranteed to enjoy every 6-cents worth!

5 comments about Baby Einstein: Traveling Melodies.

  1. We love playing this while in the car with my grandson. He is one year old and tries to sing to it and has so much fun.

  2. My baby, the dad and I love this cd! It makes car rides FUN! She relaxes and sleeps too!!!
    Whoever buys it won't regret!
Baby Einstein must know what they're doing cause it is really amazing.

  3. This tape is short and the melodies are not engaging for kids. It was waste of money.

  4. Hello everyone,
    This CD is great!
My son has ADD & when we are out & he gets Anxious I put this CD in his portibale CD player.
It seems to help him calm down & better cope with things.
I think that every parent should have this CD that has a special needs child.
Thanks so much for putting it online for people to buy.
    Thanks Again,
    A Greatfull Mom

  5. My husband and I are musicians so I inwardly groaned when we were given this CD as a gift--I'd rather play the originals rather than some synthesized kiddie version. However, on a recent road trip we got desperate when our colicky son would not stop screaming. We popped this in the CD player and it calmed him down immediately. I swear, it's like aural crack for babies. We now play it at bedtime to help calm him down and it still works. You may not love this CD, but your baby will.
