5 comments about Golden Slumbers: A Father's Lullaby.
- I bought this CD five years ago, and I just fell in love with it. We have been playing this CD almost every night -- origionally for our first born, who's five years old now; and now for our younger one. This is THE CD I brought to the labor room during the birth of both kids. Both times, the OBGYN and nurses have commended that they love this CD too. I have to admit that this is the only CD that we have listened to the most and still not get tired of it.
- I have purchased this as a gift on several occassions and have recevied nothing but positive feedback from the parents. They love it!
- This album was given as a pre-birth gift and my wife listened to it while she was in labor. John Stoddart's rendition of Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" brought her to tears. I thought it was the labor pains but she said it was the song!
The baby is now almost two and she LOVES this CD. She has learned the first bars from Brahms' Lullaby and hums them all the time. She perks up every time we start the CD, that's her cue to go to bed.
Great CD, well worth the price.
- Maybe it is a good album for these newage or jazz fans, but it is not a good album for children. This album is rather bland, and have a quality of strong resonance. It makes the sound unclear and dark, and hard to listen to.
- I got this CD when I was pregnant. I listened to it each afternoon while I took a nap. When my baby was born, I continued to play it for him at nap and sleeptime. Both my husband and i laughed because we could hear it playing over the monitor and it would put us happily and peacefully asleep! We still love it 16 months later and play it every day.

5 comments about Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Led Zeppelin.
- My sister had this cd for her own baby and my daughter went right to sleep when she heard it. i had to get home and purchase it. also got the Cure one which is great. i can sit and rock baby and STILL listen to my favorite songs! i hum a long so its doubly relaxing for her. These cd's are so clever and such a great idea. A 'must purchase' for shower gift.
- As a die-hard Led Zep fan and a new mother, I saw this as a "must have." It's a nice idea, but some of the songs are really hard to recognize. My baby never really got into "baby music." I see it as more of a novilty item, my daughter prefers real music from a radio or cd.
- My wife and I received "Rockabye Baby: the Cure" at our baby shower. It was very good, and I wanted more!
We got the Led Zeppelin album this Christmas (2007). I am amazed at how beautifully some of the somgs translate into lullabies! Some of the songs were predictably sweet and melodic, like Stairway to Heaven, Going to California and D'Yer Maker. But I was surprised and elated to see some of Zep's more "experimental" songs on the playlist. Offbeat classics like Dazed and Confused and Kashmir are amazing to hear, and remind me of more "adult" children's songs like "Peter and the Wolf."
My baby enjoys the music, and I relish listening to these rock-and-roll greats with her!
- I was thrilled when I saw this series of lullabye CDS - however a lot of them sound like horror-movie music. Sometimes the hard stuff does not translate well into an innocent sound. This was by far the best we've heard. Not only do the melodies work with baby-friendly instruments, the arrangements themselves are complex enough to hold mom and dad's interest too. A few of the other CDs in the series are a little plunky and repetitive, but not this. It's made me appreciate Zep more for their skill in crafting a layered song.
It's become a favorite in our house. Highly Recommended!
- why couldn't this have been around when i was a baby? oh, i guess because i was born when zeppelin was starting to make it really big. this cd will accompany me (wrapped up) if i'm ever invited to another baby shower. just the sample clips are too cool!

5 comments about Disney's Lullaby Album, Vol. 2.
- This is the best Lullaby CD. My daughter goes to sleep with it on evry night. Its very relaxing, and I enjoy the music as well.It was a great buy!
- I enjoy mellow music but this is almost sleep inducing. It's actually quite boring and could not classify it as romantic if thinking of using it as any kind of background music. But I imagine it can lull the little ones
- LOVE IT! I use this CD during my daughter's bedtime routine. It is VERY mellow. It's perfect for bedtime.
- I love this CD. I bought this for my son almost two years ago and we still enjoy listening to it. I just recently bought the Disney Lullaby Album Vol 1 for my daughter, and I definatly prefer vol 2 to vol 1. The entire CD is quiet and soothing. At no point does the music rise up and get too loud, it's very consistant which is good. So I don't have to worry about him being woken up by a burst of loud music. Hands down this one is much better than vol 1. We might have to buy a second copy of this one.
- It takes only a few moments after I start this CD and both of my kids are out cold!! It is so soft, soothing and a pleasure to listen to. The music is fantastic!

5 comments about Disney Silly Songs: 20 Simply Super Singable Silly Songs.
- Some of these songs i think are very old and not for today's market. Not catchy. Sorry disney its a bust from me.
- Lots of silly songs, many are the kind kids used to sing at camp way back when. Good fun for the family. Great for playing in the car on trips.
- I remember listening to those songs on a tape when I was in elementary school. I loved it. I played the tape on our tape player in our living room when I was in middle school and my mom says those were stupid. My dad told me that time it was for little kids.
- My sister and I had this record growing up and we would listen to it on road trips with our parents all the time. I remember most of the words and I love being able to share these timeless songs with my 16-month-old son. He's already singing along even though he can't say the words yet! I definitely recommend this CD for all children!
- My brother and I used to listen to this all the time when we were kids. Every once in a while we will still sing the songs together, we are 24 and 25 years old. I am so psyched to find the cd, Im getting one for my brother for christmas. He is going to get the biggest kick out of it! This is a must have for all kids. One of the greatest CDs ever!

5 comments about Beethoven's Wig, Vol. 2: More Sing-Along Symphonies.
- There are just as many great sing alongs in this CD as in the first. Most of the tracks are very singable (the Brahms piece is difficult). Lots of fun and plenty of goofy lyrics.
- My kids absolutely love this. They could listen to it over and over. I like it as well. A great, fun way to learn to love classical music.
- As a music teacher, this album and the other two are incredibly useful and fun!!! I'm so glad this fellow has done what he's done!
- One and two are so great. Hope there's a third coming out. What a great way to introduce children to wonderful music and entertain the parents and grandparents in the process. The words are ingenious. There's even a set of lyrics included in case you miss some nuance. .
- We bought Beethoven's Wig 1 and loved it. My kids (ages 5 and 9) really enjoy listening over and over. Number 2 is almost as good. All of the songs are amusing and a couple are very funny. The lyrics are clever and do help you become familiar with composers and their music. I like that the pieces are played again in the second half without the lyrics. I highly recommend it for kids who enjoy music.

5 comments about Sunday School Songs.
- This is a great CD for Kids who are starting out at Sunday Schools. The tunes are great and can be easily followed.
My daughter was very pleased with this CD...
- This was a great purchase for my 7yr old grandson. He listens to it every night at bedtime. Loved it
- This is a Great CD with great songs. We also have the similar version in DVD and the songs and video are great. My son loves these songs, so do we. Highly recommended.
- My eleven yr old first heard the songs on this CD about 5 years ago. He still really enjoys listening to them now. The CD was a replacement purchase for the old tapes we wore out.
- I just bought this CD for myself and I love it! It would be great for students in a private school, or for Christmas, or sitting by a campfire at summer camp. These religious tunes are probably the most beautiful I have ever heard. My favorites are "He's got the Whole World" and "Michael Row the Boat." Up till today, I never even knew that the "he" of the first song mentioned in this review refers to the one-and-only God. Basically, this is an ideal CD to have in every child's house and every grade school since it teaches children to appreciate God more than anything else in the universe. Just ignore the fact that track 29 is substantially different from track 14. I must say these wonderful songs are waaaaaaaay better than some of the dull kids TV shows that came out recently. Oh, and if some of you animé fans out there like shows like "Water-spider Wonder-spider," you'll like this, too! Get it and you'll see what I mean.

5 comments about African Playground.
- I bought this to teach students more about music in different African countries and found the music very addictive and upbeat. One thing that would have made this (and many other Putumayo CDs) better would be if Putumayo provided full translation of the lyrics. Some songs (e.g. Jambo Bwana, Battu, etc.) only had translations for one paragraph of the lyrics while other songs did not have any translations at all (e.g. Mbube, Hello Hello).
- My daughter has loved this CD since she was 3 months old. Now she is 7 months and she dances to the music. I often use it to put her in a good mood. All of the songs are fun and wonderful.
- After seeing "The Last King of Scotland" (decidedly NOT for the kiddies!!!), I desperately wanted some African music, so I went online and found "African Playground". I listened to the samples, ordered the CD, and upon receiving it, was surprised (and somewhat embarassed) to see that its intended audience was children.
"Oh well," I said to my dog, "what the heck. I'm pretty immature anyway..." So I tried it out, and became completely addicted.
There is such a wide variety of styles, instruments, and languages throughout the disc, one could never become bored listening to it, and there's not a bad song in the bunch. What unites all of them is their unquestionable beauty and contagious happiness. One of the songs (Track 3, by the Mahotella Queens) is so beautiful it actually made me cry the first time I heard it!
While I have no doubt that kids would enjoy it, adults shouldn't be afraid of falling in love with with this gorgeous, cheerful, utterly charming CD.
P.S. My dog likes it too :)
- My daughter and niece love this CD. They want to hear it all the time.
- I found this in a grocery store of all places and bought it on a whim. My 13 month old likes it, but even if he didn't, I love it! I "car danced" all the way home! It is so up tempo, it's the perfect driving CD and I've got it in the house now to clean to. It's a little traditional African, a little dance club, a little disco but it totally works. Can't wait to check out the other CDs in this collection.

5 comments about For the Kids Too!.
- Some songs are great - like the Hoppity Song! Others are for adults, not kids.
- I love this CD as much as my kids. I even listen to it when the kids aren't in the car. Highly recommend. The artists are cool and a tiny bit edgy (compared to someone like Raffi) so I feel like its a good intro to great music.
- After getting the first CD and loving it, and then getting the second CD because of all the great reviews on Amazon, I have realized it was a smart move. Me and my daughter enjoy the majority of the songs, singing and dancing to them every time the CD's playing. I love the lyrics and music. It's kid's music that I can enjoy too.
- This is a bit more quirky and a little less rocking (no "snow day" or "hoppity song") than the first album but we've (two adults, four kids from 2 to 10) grown to love it. There are many great songs and we do like the new version of Rainbow Connection although it would have been nice to have more variety. "John Lee Supertaster" is from They Might Be Giants' "NO!" album and, for us (having the album), it seems out of place here.
We highly recommend this album. Now if I could only get the "Meow Meow Lullaby" out of my head ...
- I was cruising the iTunes store on my iPhone and typed meow in the search box for no reason and came across this cd and the Meow Meow Lullaby song by Nada Surf and loved it. I started to listen to the other tracks and was hooked. Very cool and fun music that works for both children and adults with no worries of throwing the cd through the window because of some annoying voices coming at you. ;)

5 comments about On a Starry Night.
- I bought this CD based on the reviews and it was everything everyone said it was. I have older children that are in college and want the CD because when they listen to it with their brother, it's so relaxing. If you want gentle background music to lull your child to sleep, this is it. If you want to destress with soothing music, this is it. Excellent.
- I bought this CD because of all the rave reviews I read about it. The other people must have been a bit more earthy-crunchy than I am. I found all the wind instruments a bit boring. I think I like to hear a little more piano or something... I love the baby Mozart CD but I thought my baby needed a change every once in a while. Thats why I bought this one. It's ok....
- I just love this CD. It puts my 4 month old, and me, to sleep every night. It soo soothing and relaxing, and really just beautiful music. I encourage you to take a few minutes and listen to the samples....
- This is the only sleepytime album that our little one listens to and it works to put him to sleep every time.
- My daughter recieved this CD as a gift for her 2nd birthday. For the last 2+ years she has listened to it almost every single night when going to sleep. It is such a beautiful and peaceful compilation. It was a great compromise to get rid of the night light!

- This is a very good CD for Kids. I have all "Cedarmont Kids" CDs and DVDs and its a really good production with nice music, lyrics and songs. These are our family favorite and will be yours soon if you get it. Highly recommended.
- Beware! The packaging and reviews do not indicate that there are numerous Christian content songs on this CD. "Jesus" songs are not synonymous with children's music and should not be packaged and marketed as such.
- I bought this for my baby granddaughter to listen to. I sing along and she laughs. The songs are mostly all old familiar children's songs that I used to sing to my own children. The words are sung by children in a very charming way. About every 5th song there is a sweet Christian song, but most are traditional nursery songs. Highly recommended.
- My 2-yr old Grand Daughter, who I bought this for, loves it! My Grand Son, who is 10, really enjoys singing and acting the songs out with her in the car. I am very happy with this CD.
Thank-you.
- If you are a teacher of the young or a mom, this CD is a must for you. Great selections.
