1. Every time I put this CD in the stereo my daughter runs to the T.V. The beginning of the CD sounds just like the beginning of the show. It has lots of fun songs on it. It is a big hit. I like it because the TV isn't gluing my daughter to the couch and she loves the songs.



2. My 1 1/2 year daughter loves this CD, especially in the car. Her Daddy wishes it was all older "hits" featuring just Steve instead of a mix on Steve and Joe. Overall good CD with all the Blue's Clues classics on it.



3. My 17 month old LOVES this CD, and because she does,so do I. I am a music lover and as a child's CD goes, this is pretty good. The songs are catchy and I have been known to listen to it when I'm by myself :) Whenever my daughter is cranky, all I have to do is put in this CD, and if by magic she is mesmorized. Tears are still drying and she is singing along. It's great and I highly recommend it.



4. "Blue's Biggest Hits" is an album release for the tenth anniversary of the program featuring some of the show's best songs. There are a few songs that are recycled from past albums. However, most of the songs are new, and those that aren't generally have extended material.
   
   This album features a mixture of songs with Joe and Steve, as well as a couple with neither. "Blue's Clues Theme Song" is the "Another Blue's Clues Day" theme heard during the fifth and sixth seasons of the show. I believe this is the first time it's been available on any album. There's a new version of the "Planets" song on here as well --- who knows if it would have been included if this CD had come out just a bit later, with the recent news of Pluto's disqualification as a planet. Other noteable tunes include "Alphabet Song" (and this is hardly any old "A B C... next time won't you sing with me), "Silly Hat," (incredibly fun) and "Glasses" (a short but fast and fun tune from "Magenta Gets Glasses.")
   
   
   This album features great artwork on both the from and back covers and liner notes. It also comes with a CD-ROM bonus --- "The Magic of Blue's Room" video. This sounds like it might be a behind-the-scenes featurette. It's not, but it's still pretty nice. It's a music video, approximately two minutes long, set in Blue's Room. It features Blue, Joe, and Sprinkles (a new character), as well as the other characters from the playroom.
   
   
   This album is a must for any Blue's Clues fan. The song selection and overall sound quality is excellent.

1. The CDs included in this set are nice. Kind of like a walk down memory lane since it includes old and current Disney songs. It's good for the young and young-at-heart. Uploads to an iPod nicely.



2. There is nothing better than listening to the most beloved Disney songs ever! This 2-disc cd is a one of a kind with plenty of joyous songs to dance and listen to. It not only has the more updated songs, but it also has the classics we know and love! You get to feel like you're a kid again. It's wonderful. I would reccomend it to all ages.



3. I am a HUGE Disney movie and Disney park fan. This CD is a wonderful compliation of the ride soundtracks as well as songs from various Disney movies, both old and new.
   
   Highly recommended to all Disney fans!!!!!



4. This is a fantastic compilation that takes you chronologically through decades of classic and more recent songs from Walt Disney Records. The first CD features music dating from the 1930's such as the quite amusing "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf", and hits the favorites from many Disney movies from the 40's, 50's and 1960's while adding theme songs used for the classic Disney park rides such as "Its a Small World", "Yo Ho (A Pirates Life for Me)", and "Grim Grinning Ghosts" from the Haunted Mansion.
   
   The second CD covers many favorites from 1979 through 2006. I enjoyed the classics from the first CD the most. The second CD is very enjoyable as well. The jacket for the CD is very nice and includes an interesting narrative about each song.



5. If you like all things Disney you will love this. The recordings are the actual ones from the films and I found that fact most enjoyable.

5 comments about The Best of Country Sing the Best of Disney.

1. In case you don't know who I'm talking about, "Bocephus" is the nickname for Hank Williams Junior. This cd is awesome, but if they had put Hank on the album, it would've been perfect. I say this because, in my opinion, Hank Jr is the country artist in the history of country music, period. George Jones was a great pick for a duet partner with Kathy Mattea on the song "You've got a friend in me", but personally, I would asked Hank to sing it instead. I guess that's because I think that Hank has the most unique country-singing voice that I've ever heard, and also because the style of musical arrangement for "you've got a friend in me" sounds kind of like "Family Tradition". At least, to me, it does. (Listen closely to both songs, and you'll notice the similarities and differences). When I heard George Jones singing his part on the album, I could easily hear Hank singing it instead. All that said, the cd is still awesome. I don't much care for Collin Raye's or Tanya Tucker's recordings here, but the album is still definitely worth the money I spent to buy it. In fact, I think the Disney company should put out another country-Disney album like this, and have some of the new country artists on it, and stop putting out this "Disneymania" bubble-gum pop crap that they've been putting out in the past few years.



2. I've been a DJ in country bars for the last 15 years. When this CD came out, I had to have it. I figured it would be just for my personal enjoyment, but I found that these versions filled my dance floor. Pam Tillis' "Colors of the Wind" is a crowd favorite and in my opinion she owns that song now. "Kiss the Girl" by Little Texas is still a favorite for the County Line line dance.



3. This CD has everything. If you love country, it has twelve songs sung by different country singers and groups. If you love Disney, it has some of the best known Disney songs ever. The singers picked to sing each song are phenomenal! A different review pointed out that you don't need to be a lover of Disney AND country to love this, because you can truly appreciate this CD for what it is, some of the most beautifully sung Disney music out there. Oh, and if you feel that you've heard these songs too many times anyway, you should also know this. Some songs, especially SOME DAY MY PRINCE WILL COME, have been redone completely. I'd actually have to say in that case it was an improvement;) But don't just take my word for it. Listen and enjoy!



4. The nineties yielded many tribute albums by country artists. I bought several of them, but I avoided this one for many years. No way could I imagine that this album would be for me, until I discovered this site and read some of the reviews. On the basis of some of those reviews, I bought this album and discovered that it is a masterpiece. It is ostensibly a children's album, but none of the songs are obvious children's songs. All the songs would comfortably take their place on standard albums by the relevant artists.

   It is hard to pick out favorites, but Tanya Tucker is in her element singing Someday my prince will come, while the pairing of Hal Ketchum and Shelby Lynne on If I never knew you is inspired. Faith Hill's performance on Part of your world is flawless. Bryan White closes the set with a magnificent rendition of When you wish upon a star.

   The songs are all from Disney movies. There are two each from Pocahontas and The little mermaid, plus one each from Beauty and the beast, Snow white and the seven dwarfs, Dumbo, Aladdin, Toy story, The lion king and Pinocchio.

   This collection caused me to revise my attitude to children's music. Sure, there is a lot of it that is definitely unappealing to adults, but there are some really great albums out there which will appeal to everybody. This is definitely one of them. Oh - and if you don't like country, don't worry. This is a well-crafted album that should appeal to country and non-country fans alike.




5. Love it! Love it! Love It! Best Disney tape. My grandchildren listen to it all the time in my car and they are age 7,13, 15, and 23. We all sing along for hours playing it over and over and over again.

1. This put my child to sleep every night 13 years ago, so I purchase this for baby shower gifts. Parents will not get tired of the music. Some children's songs get stuck in your head, this is pleasant cd/tape.

3. I brought my copy of this CD to my neice, that was staying with her baby son at Children's Hospital. The nurses let her play it as often as she wanted. Soon, the nurses were humming Beatles lullabies! I ordered this copy as a gift for the hospital so the nurses can share it with others.



4. This CD is fabulous. It was played for my grandson every night for about 2 1/2 years and now he is in his 2nd year of violin instruction....he also is a very good hockey player!
   I always give the CD as a baby shower gift.



5. How do these guys expect to be taken seriously by calling this thing BEATLES FOR BABIES and then leaving off a version of 'Revolution #9'? It isn't as if there wasn't enough room, for crying out loud.

5 comments about Playhouse Disney: Imagine and Learn with Music.

1. I really thought my daughter would love this CD--after all, she watches Playhouse Disney everyday. The songs and shows featured on the CD are the shows that are on really early in the morning (JoJo's Circus, Higglytown Heroes, Bear in the Blue House). Too bad my daughter doesn't wake up until 8:30 or 9, so she has no interest in these shows. The new shows aren't on the CD, so don't expect to hear anything from Mickey Mouse (my daughter's favorite) or Handy Manny, and there are only 2 songs from the Doodlebops. It's a big dud at my house, and my daughter threw a huge tantrum the last time I tried to play it for her. Not good.



2. This CD was great for my 3 boys who are 3 an under. They danced and sang along with every tune.



3. I bought this CD for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. We listen to the music in the car all the time. All the songs are from the Disney shows that she has watched so she sings along. It's a great CD and well worth the money.

4. I use this cd for my dance classes and the children go wild! All of the songs are the originals, no new versions or new singers--phew! The songs they chose are all uplifting and happy, and just so much fun for the kids.



5. This is a fun c.d. that we've had for quite a while now. We have played it at kids' birthday parties and just for hanging out at the house. The kids love hearing the familiar sounds from TV & the variety keeps parents from going nuts.

1. Basically, our baby can not be without this CD! It has become completely indispensable in our household. We call it our "secret weapon" when we need to get our little guy to relax and sleep. He literally likes it to be played ALL night long into the morning when he wakes. And here's what I wasn't expecting: I can't be without it EITHER! This beautiful guitar music and the mesmerizing vocals absolutely melt you....all the stress of your day melts away. I'm just as addicted to this CD as my baby!



2. Our now 6 month old son has been listening to this CD at bedtime since he was 2 months old. The music is beautiful and a pleasure to listen to for my husband and me, too. Unlike other lullaby CDs I've heard it's not syrupy or dull - it really is beautiful music.



3. I am brazilian and I tought I could listen to this songs with my baby boy. I was wrong!!! This songs are not part of the brazilian culture. They are depressing. Brazilian songs are happy and full of life.
   I hate this CD. My baby is not listening to this.



4. This CD has been in my daughter's CD player now since I bought it. She even starts to sing the title song 'nene nanar' before dozing off. The lyrics are magical and the music has enough variety to match any pre-sleeping hyperness. In my opinion, this is the best children's music CD I've purchased to date.

5. This is my favorite of the world lullaby CD's available at babiesrus.com. I like all of the songs on the CD. My baby also seemd to enjoy the nice melodies and fun sounds that he hears on some of the tracks.

1. I bought this cd for a friend many years ago. I am now having a baby of my own. This cd was a must have for my own child!!



2. I bought this CD 8 years ago when my daughter was born. She listened to it each night up until her brother was born in 2002. Now we're expecting to pass it on to their new sibling in Aug of 2005. Amazing how one CD can put 3 different children to sleep so peacefully!



3. I was so disappointed with this CD I am writing my very first review for Amazon. The first CD in this "collection" is so fun and very charming. This one lacks on many levels.



4. We received this CD as a gift when our first child was born. I have bought it for all our friends who have babies since then. It contains the most beautiful renditions of many songs from our own childhood. Everyone who has received it, loves it!!! In addition, the few songs we were unfamiliar with turned out to be some of our favorites!



5. This CD, along with the original For Our Children, contains artists you know, singing songs you remember from your childhood. We had to replace our first version of this CD, because the kids played it so often that they scratched it beyond any use at all. My 5 year old son knows all the words to If I had a Hammer, and You are my Sunshine, and his favorite of all time is Puff the Magic Dragon- this version is the best I've ever heard. My personal favorite is the Elton John song about a boy who first meets his newborn brother. Stop now and go get this CD- you won't be sorry!!
