5 comments about Walt Disney Records : Children's Favorite Songs, Vol. 1 : 25 Classic Tunes.
- My daughter and I listen to this CD nearly every time we get in the car. She loves that the songs are ones she can sing along with.
- We love this CD. The voices that sing the songs are pleasant and the songs are ones my kids love. They listen to this CD every night as they go to bed.
- On long trips this was the ticket. I'd remember this more than all the sights, sounds, and people. Finding it on CD has brought back childhood memories. These are the songs, of classic origin, and timeless for all generations!
- For some reason this morning 'Ten Little Indians' was in my head. I called my mom to ask her if she remembered what the record was she used to play for me when I was little that had 'Ten Little Indians' on it. She said it was a Disney record and she immediately started singing 'It Ain't Gonna Rain No More No More, It Ain't Gonna Rain No More...'. I got online to track down the record and thankfully Amazon has it! I played some of the samples for my mom over the phone and it was a kick! I ordered the CD right away. It brings back great memories and I can't wait for my daughter to learn the songs so we can sing them together!
- I liked this CD very much and sang to the songs myself since a lot of them were ones that I enjoyed as a child. But my song preferd my other CDs which I listen to on a normal basis. I bought this and #2 for my car so we could enjoy it while we drove a long distance to my parents house but he didnt show any interest. Maybe over time he will learn to enjoy??

- This album deserves all the accolades it's received here. It's upbeat, amusing, entertaining, and not cloying. Love The Hoppity Song and La La La La Lemon best, but all tracks are good. Well, perhaps except the last one. Bend Down the Branches seems out of place and a bit pointless to me, but it's short. This CD is definitely good for the whole family.
- The songs on this CD are infectious and fun. There is not one annoying song on here. I love Willie the King, Snow Day, and The Hoppity Song the most. IF you're an adult that cringes at the idea of a kids' CD, this is absolutely the one for you!
- When this album comes on, our entire family sings and dances. Our youngest started singing "la la la lemon" before she started talking. We've recommended and given to many now-singing families! The entire album is fabulous!
- This album is FANTASTIC. Buy it. It's our 1.5 year old daughter's favorite. That may be because it's our favorite too. I've even gone out and purchased albums from the artists on this CD for myself. The songs by Bleu and Five for Fighting are particularly good. It's hard to find a kid's album that you as a parent can stand to listen to over and over again. I'd listen to this one even if she weren't around. If you as a parent are an alternative music fan, this CD is a must have.
By the way, pass on "For the Kids Too." It's super boring. Like most good movies, the sequel never lives up.
- You know how U2 and Jack Johnson make CD's you can listen to straight through? Well, this is not a stright through album. It has some great songs, and some that I skip. My children love the La La La La Lemon song.

- Received CD very quickly which made my 13 year old daughter extremely happy. In pristine condition as promised. Excellent price as well!
- I really like most of the songs my favorites are Michell and Emily and Jordan Pruitt.
- My little Disney fan loves to listen to this CD in the car and sing along with the songs from some of her favorite movies. There's a few songs from some of the less popular Disney movie soundtracks that aren't as catchy and we skip past them.
- This is a great c.d. It was great hearing all the different artist sing classic disney songs.
- The only good singers are:
Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and thats it.
The 'Kiss the girl' and 'Real Gone' song is RUINED!

5 comments about Rockabye Baby: Lullaby Renditions of The Beatles.
- At first,"Rockabye Baby: Lullaby Renditions of the Beatles" sounds like a cheesy concept album. In its own campy way, it works. The Beatles, in their psychedelic period, wrote kid-friendly songs like "Here comes the sun","Strawberry fields","Yellow Submarine" and the cosmic lullaby/meditation "Across the universe." Thankfully, these songs are on the album, albeit in the form of mellotron and glockenspiel.
The Beatles kids' version is superior to the other compilations highlighting Metallica and Nirvana, simply because of the nature of the Fab Four's material. True, it's dumbed-down and slowed-down,but better than having to explain Kurt Cobain's life to the young 'uns or telling them the lyrics to Metallic'a "Anesthesia: Pulling Teeth."
There are some odd omissions, such as "Lucy in the sky with diamonds","Octopus' Garden","Mr. Kite" and "Penny Lane." More kid-friendly songs from the Liverpool quartet. Luckily, they omit "Sexy Sadie","Why don't we do it in the road?" and "Eleanor Rigby."
Still, this is a somewhat New Agey,dumbed-down version of the Beatles. Why not introduce kids to the originals instead? I grew up listening to the Beatles... so why not cross Abbey Road?
- I love this one and the Pink Floyd one- its basically some of the best and most melodic songs on a xyhlaphone but it is beautiful to listen to and you find yourself naturally singing along to your baby- mine loves the both of them. We also have the Zeppelin one, but I think it works best with bands that wrote beautiful songs/melodies. Absolute recommendation for lullaby music- I can't stand most of the other stuff and i don't think my baby can either.
- A friend of mine and his wife had a baby just days after Christmas, and this was the perfect gift. They shipped it quickly, and now their baby has something that he loves to fall asleep to!
- These Rockabye cds are great. We have about 6 of them. We buy the one's that are of the bands we like. That way the kids listen to them before bed and we don't mind because we are singing the words in our heads to our favorite songs. Who ever created these is ingenious. No words and the music is changed just enough to make it sound kid friendly yet is so true to the original songs that you can't help humming along. Not too mention when a song comes on some where else I find my oldest humming along. It is so cool. I recommend all of these cds. Buy your favorite band, the kids will love it.
- I have the U2, Pink Floyd, Smashing Pumpkins, and Beatles, and (when I put one on in the evening) my 2 boys (ages 5 and 7) go right out. Very nice to have when a quite evening is needed.

5 comments about Toddler Favorites.
- I didn't know my standards were so high until now. I guess I got spoiled with the Disney cds since they are so well done because I just cannot stomach the bad singing on this cd. Even the adult singers are just plain awful! I really wish I had listened to a sample first. UGH! Save yourselves!
- These CD's are awful. The people that are singing sound very weird and scary. It is a really, really awful bunch of CD's. Buy something else.
- I've purchased other music CD's for children. This is by far my 20 mo. old daughter's favorite! We had this CD for less than 24 hours when she was attempting to sing along. She hadn't responded like this with any other CD. When she hears the children singing on the CD, she beams and says, "Baby singing!" I also love that it is easy to actively participate with the songs. There's plenty of silliness too. I can see how this CD would be a hit with daycare providers. The music and singing is rich and creative.
- This is the most annoying children's CD we have purchased. After each song is sung, it is repeated by a child. Do yourself a favor and buy Cedarmont Kids Toddler Tunes instead. Just note that they include some religous songs in the mix.
- We were driving a good many miles, and I thought of this CD in the middle of a tantrum. It saved our sanity. No the singer is not perfect, but it is an interesting voice, and she does add a lot of kids to the mix, so all in all it worked great.

5 comments about Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of U2.
- This CD is one of my top baby items. My son is 10 months old and we've been using it as part of our bedtime routine pretty much since he came home. As soon as he hears the CD he knows it's time for bed. One night I tried a different CD and my he wouldn't go to sleep! I highly recommend this CD or any of the Rockabye Baby collection.
- I heard the Rockabye Baby CD of ColdPlay at a store recently and loved it. I bought the U2 CD because I love U2 and thought I'd like it even more than the ColdPlay one. It sounds all the same and the music is very "tinkly". I would not suggest it.
- I bought this CD for my eight month old twins. Even if they are just cranky, just putting on this CD calms them down. A great investment to help the little ones get to sleep/relax. I listened to this CD before playing it for my kids, and almost fell asleep myself. A must have for all parents of babies/infants.
- Love it! And I think it sounds just like U2. They are my favorite band. My son loves it too!
- I LOVE this CD! I am a huge U2 fan and I love being able to listen to U2 while I am up in the middle of the night with my baby.

5 comments about The Mozart Effect: Music For Babies: Nighty Night.
- I purchased this for my new grandaughter and my daughter thinks its great for naptime. She said the music is lovely and very relaxing.
- Purchased this for my 7 month old grandbaby...she loves it and she puts herself to sleep while listening to it, nice long playing time...much better than the 5 to 15 minute wind up or push button crib mobile/toys. Very soothing and gentle. Highly recommend
- Our 3 month old daughter loves music, and I have several classical CDs that we use at night for her, but this one is my favorite. When we put her in the crib and turn the CD on, you can actually see her calming down and drifting off to sleep. Even when she's wide awake and we put her down, the music seems to work its magic. She'll lie there, eyes open, but she doesn't cry because she's too busy listening to it. Within 15 minutes, she'll be asleep. My husband jokes that it works too well because it makes him want to sleep while he's still holding her!
- I gave this as a Christmas present, and with all the noise and lights of the party my 9 mo. old nephew couldn't get to sleep. It was way past his bed time and all he could do was cry. So, his father put in the cd and the baby's body relaxed in his mothers arms, he blinked a few times, took a deep breath and went fast asleep in the middle of the party.
Everyone was pleasently stunned.
- My 1 yr old daughter was actually scared of this CD the few times I have played it at bedtime. I think were I went wrong was if you are goign to get your baby to listen to bedtime music do it from day one. I waited way to long! Good CD though and I think it would help sooth to sleep if my daughter was younger.

5 comments about Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Metallica.
- "Rockabye Baby!" doesn't promise the usual nursery fare when it has kid-friendly covers for the music of Tool, Radiohead, and Nirvana. Now,they've taken on Metallica.
The "lullaby renditions of Metallica" turn the rock anthems of Lars Ulrich&co into eerie glockenspiel versions. The songs are greatly slowed down... and no lyrics either. "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" and "Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth)" get pulled from their original context. "Master of Puppets" still sounds creepy, and "Enter Sandman" isn't exactly naptime fare.
Lars Ulrich sued Napster when they took his music. He should be suing this company for turning his music into lullabies.
- My mother in law bought us some veggie tales CD for my newborn son and it was horrible, so I bought the Led Zepplin version and Metallica Rockabye CD's and both are excellent. I was at first worried that my kid would have nightmares when hearing the metallica CD but he was out within 30 seconds of turning it on and slept through the night. A great find and I look forward to more releases.
- When our son was born, my good friend bought this as a present for him. We'd never heard of these CDs before we got Metallica -- and it is a definite favorite to listen to in our home. While Hubby is a die hard fan, I hadn't listened to much of their music before this album; I absolutely love "Nothing Else Matters"... and between this CD and the Rockband video game, well... our family gets our fill of Metallica for sure now.
I highly recommend this CD, especially if you are a fan already and want to introduce your kids to something a bit different, and I definitely look forward to getting more of them for our new baby due in just a couple of weeks.
- My husband and I love it and think our baby will love it too! It's very soothing.
- Amazing CD ..... if you're thinking of getting any of the CD's from this line - this is definitely the one to get. We listen to it almost every night and it calms our little one down every time. Mom and Dad like it too :)

5 comments about Rockabye Baby: Lullaby Renditions of Bob Marley.
- My wife and I love this CD, and our little girl has taken a liking to it as well. We have the whole CD in our iPod playlist right near her crib. Great tunes, and mom and dad get to sing to themselves!
- If you love Bob Marley, you will love this cd! I might like it better than my LO. LOL It is very soft and soothing, but you can still tell what the songs are.
- I'm a new parent and this CD is something we can both agree on. I highly recommend this product as a great alternative to traditional baby lullabies, of which I can only hear over and over so many times...
- great new way to share music that can soathe your baby. Love it...
- This is an excellent cd. My daughter calms down and falls asleep so quickly when she listens to it. The best part is that I actually enjoy it, too. A must have!

5 comments about Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Led Zeppelin.
- My sister had this cd for her own baby and my daughter went right to sleep when she heard it. i had to get home and purchase it. also got the Cure one which is great. i can sit and rock baby and STILL listen to my favorite songs! i hum a long so its doubly relaxing for her. These cd's are so clever and such a great idea. A 'must purchase' for shower gift.
- As a die-hard Led Zep fan and a new mother, I saw this as a "must have." It's a nice idea, but some of the songs are really hard to recognize. My baby never really got into "baby music." I see it as more of a novilty item, my daughter prefers real music from a radio or cd.
- My wife and I received "Rockabye Baby: the Cure" at our baby shower. It was very good, and I wanted more!
We got the Led Zeppelin album this Christmas (2007). I am amazed at how beautifully some of the somgs translate into lullabies! Some of the songs were predictably sweet and melodic, like Stairway to Heaven, Going to California and D'Yer Maker. But I was surprised and elated to see some of Zep's more "experimental" songs on the playlist. Offbeat classics like Dazed and Confused and Kashmir are amazing to hear, and remind me of more "adult" children's songs like "Peter and the Wolf."
My baby enjoys the music, and I relish listening to these rock-and-roll greats with her!
- I was thrilled when I saw this series of lullabye CDS - however a lot of them sound like horror-movie music. Sometimes the hard stuff does not translate well into an innocent sound. This was by far the best we've heard. Not only do the melodies work with baby-friendly instruments, the arrangements themselves are complex enough to hold mom and dad's interest too. A few of the other CDs in the series are a little plunky and repetitive, but not this. It's made me appreciate Zep more for their skill in crafting a layered song.
It's become a favorite in our house. Highly Recommended!
- why couldn't this have been around when i was a baby? oh, i guess because i was born when zeppelin was starting to make it really big. this cd will accompany me (wrapped up) if i'm ever invited to another baby shower. just the sample clips are too cool!
