1. This CD is one of those secret treasures to grasp and hold in these troubled times of Whatever-They-Call-Rock-Saviour-Andrew WK et al. Pay special attention to lisdexic's "Hair Removal System". Yes, definitely, this is an album for Tommy (whatever his name is) and me.



2. I highly recomend this, if just for Freddy and Me. An excellent CD, all around.

1. I first bought this album because of the Tsunami Bombs and No use for a Name Tracks. But halfway into it, I found so much more. 2 tracks (The Vandals, Tsunami Bomb) remixed by SHingo bring an eclectic feel and the rest is just plain fun. Even if this isn't your type of genre it's a great album to check out because you get so much from it. And for a cheap price at that.

3. Just because a CD is for sale on amazon, doesn't mean it was mass produced by some faceless corporation. This CD comes to you straight from the underground! There are many incredible tracks on this disc, but among the most intense are Infekktion's "Engel in Schwarz" (Angel in Black), Carbon 12's "Parasite", Auspex's remix of Diverje's "Broken", Pain Machinery's "Everything Will Be Fine", and Xiphoid Process' "Zorn". You gotta hear this.



4. Well I wasn't sure what to expect but this CD blew me away. Man the artwork is incredible -- it's about this wicked alien and really attractive model, some awesome shots. And the music is just as great as the art. It's hella good :-))

1. As I searched frantically for a sample of this old school ska, I stumbled apon a Song titled Ska Boss, originally by the Sakatalites, but redone by the Aquabats. After giving my ears a listen, I was trapped into a world of disturbing Kermit impressions, and crude "homemade" sound effects (The begging of the song starts off that way). I was amazed. After hearing that one song, I definately wanted to hear more. "Freedom Sounds: A tribute to the Skatatlites", was just the ticket.

   Like any other tribute album, it's common for the songs to be faster, louder, quieter or even, completely different. That's what I enjoy about these sorts of albums. I like to hear the artists' interpretation of other bands. Skalloween, one of my favorite songs, sounds just that way. With the addition of certain creepy sound effects and heavier drum beats, you can actually fall into a world where you're 8 years old all over again, looking over your shoulder every three seconds just to make sure that boogie men and other various monsters aren't chasing you as you try and make your way back home safely.

   "Freedom Sounds: A Tribute to the Skatalites", is a compilation of the best Skatalite songs, well maybe missing a few, by such artists as The Slackers, The Scofflaws, Ruder Than You and the infamous Joe Ferry. This CD is definately a MUST HAVE ON MY CHRISTMAS LIST CD!
