- This group may be ruff on the edges but you'll be used to there funckyness in no time at all. They are my favorite group!! You don't have to be famouse to be on my list!! This group rocks!!!!
- You all probably think I'm crazy, but this is only my opinion. I really have not grown to love this CD. It wasn't nearly as good as I thought it would be. I've listened to samples of all of ShineMK's albums (yes, they're known as "ShineMK" in the UK, I think), and I was kind of disappointed (they have other albums called "Keep On Moving", "Extended", and I think something else; you can ONLY find them at www.shinemk.co.uk). I really coulden't fall for the feelings, lyrics, or sounds of their songs. They sounded a little do "dark" for me, if you know what I mean. One of my least favorite songs they've done is "Don't Turn Back On Love", that was on their CD "Keep On Moving". I probably would have LOVED this CD last year when I was REALLY INTO pop , but I've switched to more rock (the Newsboys' music is more like it). If you like pop, I'd suggest that you get V*Enna's "Where I Wanna Be", Plus One's "The Promise", or Jump5's "All The Time In The World", if you end up not LOVING this CD. If I really had to say that I liked any songs on this CD, it would be "Do You Believe In Love?", because it reminds me of "Do You Wanna Know" by V*Enna.
- I saw this cd at the music store and was curious about and looked it up online. I decieded to buy it and I thought it was the coolest cd. I still like it and dance to it. This group of girls are a christian group and share their faith and their music can be attractive to those who love groovy music. Most songs are pretty and a few are slow but you would like dancing to this cd. Tracks 1,2,3,5,7,8,9 and 10 are at least songs you can dance to, but i know you would enjoy listening to all the songs. Just if you like dancing and/or you are a CCM fan, Do It Right is for You.
- I never heard of this group until I was blown away by their Title Soundtrack song LEFT BEHIND that they did with Bryan Duncan for the movie of the same name. That song just makes you want to GET UP AND DANCE and Praise The Lord at the same time! AMEN!! I bought both the Soundtrack and this CD based on THEIR amazing voices. I think christians need more jazzy christian R&B HIP HOP music to rival the WORLD's HIP HOP that always ends up with a Parental Warning Label. CLEOPATRA, while not a christian group, is also very similar music to SHINE and no swearing.
- My daughter is 7 and already is interested in Brittany Spears and other teen pop stars. As a Christian mother I am concerned about what she listens to, especially at this young age, but I want her to have fun too! SHINE is the answer! What a great album. Our entire family really likes it and that is good because when a 3 year old gets hooked on a CD you listen to it over and over and over again. We are giving this CD to my daughter's friends for birthday gifts, not only as Christian inspiration, but because they love the music. I can't wait for Shine to come to the U.S. for a tour, we'll be the first in line!

- Love the group and the cd. One of my favorites from them. They can really get you moving and then slow down the pace. One of my favorite groups that has lasted in time even when they change new people in and out of the group. A must have for anyone who loves Point Of Grace.
- Point of Grace is one of the best female Christian bands in the world. This album shows how great they work together as a team.
- I have enjoyed listening to POG's music not only because it is uplifting but because there is so much truth behind what they are singing. My favorite song is "The House that Mercy Built." In that song there is a phrase that says "we've nothing left to fear, we live in grace." Phrases like that will stick with any Christian. This statement of truth has been my banner for some time now. I can walk from day to day knowing that nothing will happen to me unless God wills it to happen. God will only do what is best for me, even if that means my death, "for me to live is Christ, to die is gain." Live in grace.
- If FREE TO FLY hadn't come out (LOL) I would've said this is my favorite of all time, simply because all the songs cut straight into the heart and hold true to genuine POG form. Although they have one previous release to this, The Whole Truth is truly their classic with all their old, lovable favorites.
I will never forget this CD because it was one of the original 12 CD's that started me into Christian music when I was 14 years old, soon after I gave my heart to the Lord. Great upbeat songs: GATHER AT THE RIVER, DYING TO REACH YOU, LOVE LIKE NO OTHER Great mellow songs: THE GREAT DIVIDE, THE LOVE HE HAS FOR YOU, MORE THAN ANYTHING 5 stars -- absolutely no other rating will do! :)
- The Whole Truth represents the best album from Point of Grace's career to date. The harmonies are good, but the songs are outstanding. "The Great Divide," a song about salvation, is wonderful in its simplicity and depth. "More than Anything," "Without the Love of Jesus," "God is With us," and "Gather at the River" are also great songs. The sound is their trademark pop, but it's never sounded better.
I recommend this CD to any Christian music fan.

- I'm a fan of twothirtyeight, so my review may be a little biased. This album was dedicated to twothirtyeight's original Bassist: Kevin Glass; who died in a car accident before the album was recorded. Chris Staples (vocals/guitar) also makes reference to the tragedy on his most recent EP "Burned and Blistered." Anyhow, this album is very enjoyable, but not quite up to the level of more recent albums "Regulate the Chemicals" and "You Should Be Living." If you're a die-hard twothirtyeight fan, you definitely should get this album, even for the sole purpose of owning Staple's back-collection. The music doesn't have the catchy guitar hooks of recent albums, but it does have powerful guitars and great lyrics. The album is great...I don't like using the term "emo" but I guess this is probably a worthwhile use of it. It sounds a little bit like early Jimmy Eat World with the lyrical stylings more along the lines of Pedro the Lion. Even if you don't like the band, it would be worthwhile to purchase just for the value of selling it to diehard fans on ebay. Also, the coverart and insert is pretty and unique.
- I am not much of a punk fan per se, so I was skeptical when my friend Danny pitched me an album of his friends "emo" music. Whatever. I was amazed at this bands stuff. From their vintage textures to their tight syncopations, they've got "it". I can't wait until they come to CA. If you are new to "emo", this is the place to start - even if the lame samples on here don't do justice to the winding, unpredictable compositions. Distortion out of nowhere. Lyrics so quiet that they are indistinguishable at times from mumbling. Great stuff.

- If you haven't heard Ken Tamplin's voice you are missing out. This is a wonderful CD of great songs and guests. I think this is one of my personal favorites by Tamplin but anything he sings is just magic.
- If you like Ken Tamplin's previous efforts, buy this CD now! If you've never heard of Ken Tamplin but you like melodic-hard-rock, read on.
You won't be disappointed at all. Tamplin (and his host of axe-wielding friends) is in great form on this CD. His vocals are are in great shape and sound superb - he keeps his singing in the mid- to low registers, where it sounds best. The songs are mostly along the lines of rockers Tamplin's known for being good at, while throwing in plenty of thought-provoking social commentary (We've Jihad Enough, Hare Kristians) and humor (Cell Phone Freaks, 7 Eleven People) at the same time. Let's talk guitars. I love solos, and this CD is full of 'em, from a who's who list of guest soloists. Tamplin has perfected the Art of Shred (actually he accomplished this a long time ago-i.e. Shout's "In Your Face") and paints them into his songs beautifully. If you've been dying to hear some great guitar soloing, most modern bands simply aren't delivering. But trust me: you'll get an earful on this CD! That said, this album doesn't sound dated or 80's-ish. It's definitely got a modern sound, but with many of the musical elements that made those old bands so much fun. Finally, I have to point out that this album is quite a bargain. At 79 minutes and 18 songs, in a double-disc case with a DVD that has 2 videos and some fun behind the scenes clips, you are getting you're hard-earned pennies' worth, and then some. It's a no-risk deal if you're a melodic-hard-rock/guitar-solo fan. Buy this CD, turn it up LOUD, and enjoy one of the finest modern-era hair bands around today.

- I went to see mxpx way back in March and fanmail and shades apart were opening for them. They rocked the place . Especially Fanmail they are a realy awesome band and there cd is cool!
- I was going to hear MxPx and Fanmail and Shades Apart were opening for them. I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy the entire concert, beginning to end, song for song, every single band. These songs are smartly written and excellently executed. My favorites being Rock & Roll Star (which they appropriately opened the show with) and the Police remake of Every Breath You Take. I've heard many versions of this song, never coming close to the original, but somehow a punk twist is what the song truly needed. It reminded me of the Shades Apart version of Tainted Love awhile back and how good that one was. I'm saving my 5 star review for when Fanmail releases their full length release!
- Get this: one night about 2 months ago, I heard "Every Breath You Take" by The Police on the radio. And I got to thinking how cool it would be if a punk band did a version of it. The next night I went to a concert where Fanmail was playing, who I had never heard of before. I knew the name, just not the sound. Well, they put on an AWESOME show, and what do ya know, the last song they played was a punk version of "Every Breath You Take". The boys read my mind, and they did NOT let me down. Their album rox, the music rox, and they rock as people as well. This is a definent must have for anyone with some taste and money.
- If you think the vocals sound familiar, it's because they're done by Scott Silletta (former vocalist/guitarist from Plankeye). And yes they do cover the POLICE song, "Every Breath You Take," which was previously re-done by some rapper. This cd does rock, though. It's total power pop with noisy guitars and harmonized vocals. Kind of like a really poppy punk band.
- This cd is not normal christian rock cd. THis is a cd that both secular and christian fans can enjoy. If you like Weezer then you'll love Fanmail.
