- What a relief to have something upbeat and contemporary to let me dance through my day without sacrificing the presence of the Spirit!
Her vocals make me feel like I have wings. I was not disappointed upon hearing her live at TOFW. She's got the goods, no doubt. Her voice is just as larger-than-life in person as it is in the studio.
The best tracks on the album are undoubtedly those written by Jenny, herself. "It's Real" and "Peacegiver" represent a level of infectious pop genius that will seep in and keep you dancing long after the cd has stopped spinning.
Then there's the desperately needed, tender reminder in "Slow Down" where she pulls back the power of her voice a little to give it a more sympathetic, intimate feel, like a chat on the couch with a good friend who can speak peace to your heart when you get a little too caught up in the world.
Really, I could say something great regarding just about every song on the album; it's that good. On the whole, it's upbeat, optomistic, and energizing.
Thank-you, JJF for such a great album. I can't wait for the next one!!
- This is an awesome CD, and the artist is LDS. She has a pretty voice, and the songs are beautiful. They help me when I'm sad, and have a message, but are the kind of songs us kids like to listen to today.
- Frogley's frosh cd comes out with a BANG! Great lively beats on the rocky numbers and beautiful orchestral on the ballads all backing up Frogley's powerful vocal chords which could hold thier own against any mainstream popular artist. Pretty much all the songs are good in thier own way however, here are some of my favorites: "Peacegiver" is an upbeat rock beat reminicent of KT Tunstall that gets you jumping as much for the beat as for the joy of the songs message. "Never" is a beautiful ballad reflecting her love for her Savior as well as her acknowledgement of His love for her. "Sweet Love" is a great song of family, life & His love set to a fun reggae beat with Alex Boye excellently providing the reggae background. I liked "I came to win" simply for its strong statement to the opposing forces.

5 comments about Way Back Home.
- This is a beautiful album, but some songs are "updates" of the originals from the first release of Way Back Home (which was never available on CD, unfortunately). I was disappointed with this, but I'll still buy this CD--I especially love "New Star" and "Olivia".
- Too bad you can't see Keaggy play guitar -- I have -- and his body language and musicianship exhibits praise for his muse. Still you can listen, and his work here is buoyant. If you have moved away from where you grew up, and would like to rekindle sweet memories of your hometown, just listen once and let your mind wander back. If you are a parent of boy or girl, it doesn't matter, Keaggy's "Father Daughter Harmony" illustrates why contemporary children need not follow the suit of eye-rolling sitcom kids, who instead can feel the glee of being with their parents. And the final track, which Keaggy overlays with guitar work, is an old reel-to-reel recording of his grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary, which took place in '49, a year before Keaggy's birth. It is what one would imagine if Studs Terkel provided sound tracks for his books. I gave my copy of this CD away, and didn't have the heart to ask for it back (they enjoyed it so much), so I bought two more (just in case I wanted to loan out another copy.)
- I have over 25 of Phil's albums, and I consider this one to be his very best. Why? The music focuses on Phil's family, his faith, and is at once soothing and appealing. Especially notable are the songs that are taken from other writers' words. Great examples of this are "Could've Been Me", "In Every Need" and "Once I Prayed". Of course, Phil's excellent guitar work is evident in abundance throughout the album. Phil's voice has never sounded better. This work will appeal to anyone who enjoys songs that are meaningful, but can even be enjoyed as background music. A must have for Phil's fans.
- Occasionally uneven collection but contains what is arguably Keaggy's greatest songwriting (his most underrated attribute): Maker of the Universe, Here and Now, Let Everything Else Go, Noah's Song. Maker of the Universe is worth the price of the CD alone. If you like Keaggy's songwriting and his mellow side, this is his best CD Other than the outstanding 2CD collection of his Jesus Freak period -- What a Day/Love Broke Through.
- I have all but a couple of Phil's cds and this one was a disapointment. It has a sort of melancholy childhood effect to it, but I never listen to it. Find me in these fields, philip side, crimson and blue are far superior in all aspects. My opinion of course, some obviouly appreciate Back Home.

5 comments about Facing Changes.
- This is a middle of the road pop punk cd. Doesn't really stand out, but doesn't fall behind the trends. It sounds cool, but it's all been done before....for some standout punk, try Relient K's the Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek. Much better.
- Their music is pretty good and stuff, but the reason for me giving them a three is because all of the songs basically have the same tune running the whole time. I have had this CD for a while now and I still can't define one song from another. It's good for my collection, but I'm just saying that it is not the BEST. The best tracks are "All that I wanted" and "With Hands Tied (Behind My Back)."
- The LE of "Facing Changes" by HANgNAIL contains the entire "FC" album and the second disc is called "The Acoustic EP" which contains acoustic versions of some songs off of this and their first album "hangnail" here's a track list of this 6 song disc:
1. Double Standard 2. Carry Me (the bells in this song are awesome) 3. Decision Making 4. Friendly Advice 5. Closemouthed Concern 6. No Name Yet I love acoustic versions of songs (my new favorite acoustic version of a song is P.O.D.'s "Alive" available only on the Limited Editon of Satellite in stores now!) so this bonus disc is a welcome addition to include in this set. But I don't think the LE is available any more (with the exception of a Christian book store, which is where I got mine), but if you're not a fan of acoustic songs, then don't bother picking up the LE, get the one off of Amazon.com. Anyway, the Facing Changes CD is very very good. HANgNAIL has matured in their ability to play music. HANGnAIL was their first album which had a Blink taste to it. Facing Changes shows that their music playing ability still rocks! The first disc contains 12 songs that runs around 30-40 minutes. Anyway, pick up a copy of this album. Its worth it. Plus if you don't have it already pick up the debut album HANgNAIL.
- "Facing Changes" from Hangnail has a light pop-punk sound that is truly spirutal and uplifting to listen to. "Facing Changes" is an album that every song is basically good. So you can't lose. "God will always be here..."
- i love this CD!!! every song is unique, with wonderful messages. Teriffic the punk rock sound, the band members are down to earth, great people, and their music is AWESOME. I dont care if your christian or not, i dont care if you like punk or not, i dont care if you are DEAF, buy this CD now!!!!!!!!

- I REC'D THE CD WITHIN 2 DAYS. IT WAS IN GREAT CONDITION. I LOVE IT AND PLAY IT OVER & OVER.
- No problems with product received. One of my favorite cds.
Jackie
- I've been a fan of Kim Hill since seeing her open for Amy Grant in the early 1990's. She seemed to start as pop-like Christian artist, dabbled in country, then returned to CCM and worship music.
My favorite Kim Hill CD is still BRAVE HEART, but there's one song on this CD that--when I hear it from time to time--is absolutely devastating. "I Need To Know." Kim's voice wrings out the plaintive cry of a desperate soul trying to find some light in a long dark night.
"Bring to me the fire again, bring to me the fire again...."
It just gets me every time.
- The music on this CD is excellent, possibly her best. I have over
600 Contemporary Christian CDs in my collection and this is one of my favorites. While I do love the music on this CD that's not why I rate it so high. I don't care what kind of mood I'm in I can't listen to this CD without being blessed to the point of tears. Thank you, Kim Hill, for being faithful to God and then sharing it with us!
- The Fire Again was given to me as a gift from a friend at church. Well, when I found it 5 years later (after cleaning my room) i decided to listen - which is how most of my christian artist experiences have been, don't ask me why. Anyways, i thought this particular album (still think) is very interesting. There is a song on there that reminds me of the Old theme from General Hospital...which intrigued me. Kim Hill sounds kind of like Tracy Champman, don't you think? The piano songs alone always make me cry, but that is to be expected, living on a hill myself, but the upbeat ones keep me from drowning. THANK YOU:)

- I discovered Rabito and "Sinceridad" while holidaying in Puerto Rico last summer. I'm not spanish speaking, but oh the music...the voice...it certainly is the greatest piece of music I've heard in ages and I play it everyday in the office. And would you believe, I can now sing in spanish. Keep up the good work Rabito!
