- I first heard Skypark at their concert in 2001. I was amazed by their performance. Later on I got a new french teacher and I found out that he was in a band, none other than the great SKYPARK!! He's the bassist Tony Deerfield. From then on i have been listening to their music and continue to be amazed by their great new style to christian music. I especially enjoy What God Does as well as The Girl in Your Picture. I can guarantee that most people will enjoy this CD.
- This was an amazing CD. I love it to shreds. It's awesome. Skypark rules. They have a very unique style that seperates them from most Christian artist. I hope they keep the hits rolling.
- they have such a wide variety of sounds and beats that they are ahead of the music world! the combination of tyrone's vocals, keith's downbeats, tony's bass line, and joey's playful guitar adds up to an overall awesome sounding message.

- This piece of work was better than their debut project. Over Blue City is one of the best Christian alternative albums of the year. Although they need some recover time from their first album, they will shine if they keep up the good work. The two best songs are #1 Viva Satellite, and #5 That's What God Does. They both have the pump up energy to keep a crowd going in a concert. If you like Seven Day Jesus or Painted by Moses, you will like Skypark!

- I bought this cd on the strength of one track "Everlasting Life" that I heard on a Gear Fab sampler. That piece is a great piece of psych rock with excellent vocals by Sharon Keel and some classic fuzz attacks from Dave Caudill. The remainder of the cd's lyrics float to far into Jesus Rock for my tastes but the music and vocals are top notch. Psychedelic guitar freaks are sure to love much of this.

- What's with the title? The music itself is solid enough to stand on its own, so the packaging simply smacks of a crass marketing ploy to tie in the Left Behind series (to which the music really is unrelated). Being left behind and missing the rapture should be considered a disaster, not a starting point to sell records.
The same songs can be found on other compilations; I would recommend going to those.
- LOVED the cd it was really spiritual. It put me to sleep every night. I especially liked I Christ Alone and Forever and Ever. I recommend this cd very much!!!
- This is one of my favorite worship CD's. The collection of "I could sing...", "The only light we need", " God of Wonders", and "In Christ Alone" are powerful. This CD will encourage your soul and will provide an uplift to your day. Enjoy and worship.
- I rent this CD from a store in my town because I am a reader of all the books from Left Behind Series in Brazil. And all musics is touching and I can feel the presence of God when I am singing and saying with all my heaet that God is King of Glory.
- This Cd is one of the best. I really enjoyed all 11 songs, and personally think its a great buy. If you have enjoyed the Left Behind series, I'm sure you'll love this.

5 comments about Astronomy.
- So I had the chance to stumble on this cd a few years ago while browsing the horrid selection at Walmart at two in the morning. I forked over the twenty dollars and brought the cd home and put it up for a spin. I was so disappointed! I put the little orange cd away in my case with the taste of regret and the missing twenty dollars out of my wallet. A few weeks later, I took the cd out again and decided to give it another chance, only because I had purchased it and it looked so brand new and shiny in it's jewel case. Still the same. This cd sucked! I wanted my money back! And then a month later, for the final time, I decided to give the cd one last chance and I fell in love. This is the best cd in my entire collection, out of thousands of thousands songs I have in iTunes, the songs on Astronomy are first class. This has to be the most underrated band in the entire world. Songs like Jaded and Patience could make it to any movie soundtrack, it's a shame that this type of music takes so long to grow on you. These songs are about the uncertainty of the future and the glimmer of hope appearing over the horizon. The mood is somber and yet uplifting. Like a runner running the final stretch of the race. The relentless spirit of never giving up and trusting your beliefs and faith to pull you through. Even though this is a christian band, you wouldn't be able to tell just from listening to this cd, so it's okay if you have different beliefs, the theme here is acceptance and not running away from your problems. Sooooo amazing.
And as a side note,
Bleach are completely unknown, you can't find their shows or songs on youtube for the most part and their myspace has just 15,000 hits. They are broken up now, and I would venture to say that it was due to their small fan base. What a shame, I would give my right arm to see this band put out another cd.
Check out Farewell Old Friends, another amazing cd by Bleach. The earlier stuff is good, but in my humble opinion I don't think Bleach truly refined their potential until Astronomy. The early stuff is great, but not perfect.
Astronomy - Perfect
Farewell Old Friends - Perfect
Audio/Visual - this is a compilation of all of Bleach's tunes, it's worth picking up just for a few new songs that are pretty amazing in themselves, don't care much for the early stuff though.
Also check out the singer's side project myspace . com / royalempiremusic some great songs have come out of that as well - God's Vast Ocean and Big Valley.
- Have you ever felt tired of your present situation? Are you suffering through a trying time? Do you feel lost, alone, or rejected?
Buy this album.
- People who are a fan of Bleach are calling this album not as impressive and not as hard. Well the Byers brothers who are the bassist and drummer-lost their biggest fan and hero that all the members of Bleach love-Josh Byers. Josh died in Iraq fighting for his country and his borthers Milam and Jared dedicated ASTRONOMY to his life and his lovingness to God, his family, and his work for the army, The songs may have been sappy but you have to realzize what the band has gone through and how excellent their music is. Next time you listen to "tired heart" and think negatively think about Captain Josh Byers and how he was fighting for America-not only for himself but for everyone.
- For those of you expecting another "Again, For the First Time", you will be disappointed. While the first track, "Get Up" may sound reminiscent of their previous album, you can tell that something has changed in the sound of the band, and by the time you get to "December" and "Plan to Pull Through", it becomes evident that this record is nothing like "Again...". In addition to producing this album differently (it was recorded on analog tape, not digitally, using mostly amps as opposed to live inject) the songwriting is much more mellow and mature. It's the same old Bleach with the same sort of tunes, but they're delivered with much more emotion this time around (although not necessarily loudly). Whereas there were no ballads on "Again...", "Astronomy" pumps out three or four. Overall, each song is much more stripped down than on their previous album. While "Astronomy" is much better than "Again..." in many respects, I think that "Again..." was more consistant, and flowed much better than "Astronomy". "Astronomy" has its irritating points (such as "Nineteen") but also has very moving points ("Tired Heart"). On the whole, "Astronomy" is a good album that any rock fan will come to love. While it's not an album where every song will blow you away, it's an album where you can put it on and sing along with almost every song and like it enough to say "I'm glad I bought this record".
For those of you who have never heard any Bleach before, I would suggest getting "Again..." first if you like all out hard rock; however, if you are more inclined to acoustic rock, piano ballads, and a few rollicking rock songs, get "Astronomy" first. Or better yet, get both at the same time!
- the bass player in our band went kcc with sam so i was lucky enough to get this cd signed by the band members, good cd, december is my favorite though, but there past cds are just as good.

- This is a really good hits album. White Heart was a good, solid Christian rock band from the 80's that followed along the lines of Chicago and Survivor; not to hard and not to soft. Great vocals and catchy hooks. They don't skimp on the scriptures either. I love songs like "In His Name". Great, and powerful stuff. If you like White Heart you won't be disappointed.

- To start off...They do not need work. The album producer has nothing to do with the band, so first of all: dont listen to bands just because of the producer - that's just lame, and secondly: The band has no control if the producer makes their cd "high quality" or "not up to your standards", it's up to their music and talent to get them thus far. They are a decent rock band and I have good expectations to see another album coming in the future. I think they would be a lot better with a piano involved..hehe...if you like these guys check out, Waking Ashland, Acceptance, Mae, Anberlin, and Number One Fan.
- Mourning September is a great band and this is a great CD. The musicianship on is absolutely incredible. Great production and great songwriting, this is the kind of music that you can hear over and over. If you like quality rock with an emphasis on strong drums and strong guitar this is the CD for you. The front man has great vocal presence and can sing very well, the harmonies are tight and the melodies infectious.....Buy it!
- I heard "Glorietta" on the radio and was determined to find the band who sang it. Right away, I bought the CD without any doubts about the other songs. And I was right. Every single song rocks and has an awesome Christian message. I would highly recommend this CD if you like Relient K, Anberlin or Copeland. The best songs are Glorietta, Closer to Closure, Tonight and April Dreams.
- I was pretty dissapointed when I heard the Mourning September album. I guess my problem was that my expectations were so high, coming from an album put out on Floodgate, and produced by James Paul Wisner.
Wisner did a flawless job, the problem was that he worked on a flawed album. Ultimately by the fourth track, you've heard every song on the album. There aren't really any hooks in the album, and because of that, every song ends up sounding exactly the same.
Maybe their sophmore effort will prove me wrong, but for now this is a band you probably shouldn't invest your time and money into.
- Mourning September's first cd is pretty good. The first two songs are the best on the cd. Some of the other songs are good, but not overaly awesome. All and all a pretty well done cd.

- This cd is full of bone crunching, ear splitting metal with a great message. There are a few songs that are a bit comical but there's nothing wrong with doing that in a song. Silent Night, not your mama's version, but this is my favorite Deliverance song from this cd. Powerful guitar and vocals rip and shred through these albums. One of the early pioneers of the Christian Metal scene along with groups like Tourniquet this is well worth the listen. I would recommend this cd to anyone looking for true Christian Metal. There are Christian metal groups out there that are not very good because they mostly just throw a bunch of stuff together and make an album but these guys, they are the real deal and they are worth every penny you would pay for their music. Put it in, turn it up to 11 and watch the paint peel from your walls!
- I'm a Christian first and Metalhead second, so often I find myself torn. Non-theist metal groups often produce amazing sounds but their lyrical content is typically infused with dark themes antithetical to Christian doctrine. On the other hand, most Christian bands . . . well, they suck to be quite frank. Using their message as an excuse for substandard song writing, plenty of groups that couldn't cut it in the traditional market find nationwide distribution on Christian labels.
Deliverance is one of those rare Christian groups that is not only listenable but enjoyable - even to a non-Christian audience. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first and only Christian band to get air play on MTV's Headbanger's Ball back in the day. Certainly other "Christian" bands with less overt lyrics in more mainstream genres have followed in their footsteps, but Deliverance manages to hold its own in comparison to groups like Slayer while conveying Christian theme lyrics - some of which are taken directly from Psalms. The singers wailing soprano might not appeal to metal fans accustomed to the gutteral shouting found on a Mastadon or Bolt Thrower album, but the lyrical quality is gradually infused with deeper gothic undertones in later albums (like in their amazing cover of David Bowie's Beauty and the Beast on their Camelot in Smithereens album). Some of their songs can get a little silly and they perform well in their genre rather than being remarkably innovative, but this group is worth a listen for just about anyone. They aren't perfect, but I would put this forward as an example of quality Christian music.
- Deliverance, wow. Growing up I loved the heavy sounds of hard rock, but I always worried about the lyrics. Normally associated with this kind of music are songs about death, hell, destruction, murder, suicide, rebellion, drunkeness, drugs, promiscuity, fornication, blaspheming, etc. Here is a band that has held up for over a decade playing the same kind of metal sound (thrash, heavy metal), and yet the lyrics are about . . . well . . . deliverance from the above things. The words are VERY uncompromising with the gospel message. For all the metal-heads in your family that need a Christian alternative to this style of music, this is the band for them. And you don't have to worry about the lyrics!
- Deliverance is a Christian Metal band that has really proven thay they have what it takes to be in the Metal scene. This is a band that I happen to like, and I have most of their CD's now. Jimmy Brown is a great vocalist. This band has gone through some storms, but the Lord has brought them out to sing to the world about Christ in a Metal format.
