- You gotta buy this CD!! All I got to say especially the song pulling a fast one
- bignightrider has no idea what hes talking about. this cd is awsome..... buy it!
- i thought this cd was one of the best rap cds i have ever heard. i never really got into rap until i heard this one. trust me..... bignightrider dosnt know what hes talkin' about. buy this cd!
- this cd is garbage. please do not buy this cd. you will regret it. let me start off by saying that I am a big Secular rap listener. and no, violence / foul language isnt my main reasons for listening to secular music. My main reason for listening to secular music is because the beats are slammin. The first thing you hear on the song is the beats. then the lyrics kick in. This cd had some corny beats. A monkey on a drum set could have done better than what they did. i listened to the cd once and that was enough. they may have good jesus related music and they had a good rappin style but the best lyrics in the world could help the beats they brought to the table. to anyone who listens to secular rap and is looking for christian rap avoid this one. There are better Christain rap artist out there
- since I wrote my first review of this CD... AND I STILL CAN'T LISTEN TO THE SONG "SIBLING RIVALRY" WITHOUT MY STOMACK TURNING!

- This 4th album by The Gospel Gangstaz is, In many ways like the album before it, ''I Can See Clearly Now'', A not so memorable effort by the GG'Z. But, There are some bright spots. ''Bad Company'', The album's hottest track, Has the trio talking about how bad friends can lead innocent people into trouble to a very catchy beat laced with catchy lyrics and a memorable hook by Kam. ''Scream'', ''A-O'', and ''Caught Up'' also highlight this Lp, But Weaker tracks like ''My Lesson'', ''Bounce With Us'', ''Change'', and ''Gangsta'd Up'' really hinder this album. The GG'Z are still a very talented group, But this album really makes one yearn for the return of the Gang Affiliated days. Like just about all GG'Z efforts, This is gangsta as well as godly. The production on this album is probably the best production the GG'Z has ever had to work with in their career. While this might not be an album to get too crazy about, At the end of the day, I'd still take this over a lot of the stuff that's coming out at the moment.
- Nice cutz, Scream & AO are good tracks to bump to. A little weak on message, but loaded with good tracks..
- All the trackx are bangin' the message on every joint is lightening!! The music what can i say hot like momma's bunz...
Raptillion
- Man, I rate this CD with 10 stars because it is that good. Exodus really has saved a lot of sinners and still is. If everyone heard this CD, God's Word would be fulfilled. I gospel rap too and this has helped me to manifest my annointing in a very big way! I really suggest that you should buy this CD. They don't just rap, but they apply the Word to their ministry. I got saved a long time ago, but this CD has renewed my mind, fully. Actually, while I'm writing this, I am listening to their CD. I have been, and I'm still blessed by this CD. I know some rappers that are lukewarm in their rap ministry. They would do secular, then gospel, but Gospel Gangstaz really are hot for the Lord! They are truly annointed!!! GOD Bless!!!!
- The gospel gangstaz are in my opinion, the best gospel rap group out there, and The Exodus, in my opinion, is the best of the four albums they have so far. I have all of them and it's nice to see that they have returned to their original "Gangsta" style. Their last release was the bomb, too, but they said that B-Rite records was trying to reinvent them and I noticed that the album was geared more toward blinging in some cases than about the ghetto and the gangs. The Exodus is truely a Gangsta album. In songs like "Watch, Pray, Live Holy" and "Heaven Awaits Us", they tell us hpw they feel about the people they left behind, in the gangs and stuff. They tell us that they were like that, and changed and sing strictly to reach the people that need to be reached. In songs like "A-O" and "Caught Up" they tell us about the mentality of those on the streets and caught up in gangs and of the pain that it will cause them. they tell us about mistakes they made in "My Lesson", "Scream" and "Change" and how they corrected those mistakes. They tell of their mission in "Gangstaz Don't Dance", "Gamgsta'd Up" and "Bounce With Us" and they warn us of Pitfalls in "Bad Company" and the two hilarious interludes.
THIS IS A MUST-HAVE FOR ANYONE>

- Easily the CD I listen to most often. If it were only a metter of music, I would strongly encourage everyone to purchase this CD. Since it's more importantly a matter of life & death, listen to your friend's copy if you can't afford it. On a musical level, this CD is very enjoyable with a lot of live band sounding boom-bap type beats. It's definitely Philly sound - jazzy but rough. This album is not a matter of favorites - I like every song. The relevance of every song to everyday life is amazing and the skill with which each rhyme is delivered should pique the ears (and hopefully hearts) of anyone that says they love hip-hop. Which brings me to the main point about this album, it's all about preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the human experience. This album gives voice to the living hope that Christians have (in Jesus Christ alone) over the very real issues that all of God's people come from. He didn't call the righteous but the sinners to repent. Get this album.
- This CD is proof that flow for Christ is annointed, while secular rhymes have deteriorated (b/c they are not of God). This CD is done the way I like it - allowing the beats to augment the rhymes. After all, the message of Christ should be the primary focus. What I love most about this album is that it lacks the self boasting that underlies most hip hop (including some gospel hip hop). There is even a track that addresses this issue. If you are a fan of hip hop, a fan of lyricism, & are in search of something you can put on blast WITH NO GUILT, buy this album now! Also, do yourself a favor and check out other Cross Movement artists (Da TRUTH, Ambassador, Phanatik etc). You will not be disappointed.

5 comments about House Of Representatives.
- One of my favorite things about this CD is the fact that this was the CM at their fullest, sporting at least 7 members with completely varying styles on one album. Beyond that, this album delivers theologically brilliant jam after jam accompanied by some truly banging soundtracks.
This album is home to my personal favorite CM song, "Off the Hook," and pound-for-pound is the best album they have produced.
- The video for "House of Representatives" put me on a quest to gain all that was out by CM. At that time, this and Heaven's Mentality were the latest. Since my induction [as a Croos Movement {Old} Head], I have bought every project up to Higher Definition. I bought this and turned my nephew on to it. It got stuck in a car CD changer after an accident. I bought a replacement for me and one for him. I shared the first time around, but this time -- have your own... I need mine!! :)
- I had high expectations for this album and those expectations were met. This album is awesome and if you don't yet have it purchase it now. These guys are talented and it is very hard to rap all about God. But these guys are awesome for Christ. I recommend all CM albums and Ambassadors solo album Christology in Laymens terms.
- This group is incredible. They have a correct view of the inerrancy of Scripture and display their knowledge with talent and tact. This album is the reason that I spend extra driving time in my car. The beats are incredible, their lyrics are edifying, and their message is true. Thank you, God, for Cross Movement.
- Call me a fan of old school rap but this cd was, to put it simply, an awesome. The beats are solid, the message oustanding, and as is the case of its sequel, House of Representatives covers a broad array of Christian topics.
We get to hear these guys rymn about Christ's authorship of all life, His return that is to come, human arrogance in terms of the hypocritical R&B artists, becoming a human sacrifice for Christ with our lives, pointless church traditions, the questioning of those who claim to love the Lord but live otherwise, and a solid number of other issues. These guys are the most honest Christian group to date. Call them the Rich Mullins' of the Christian rap genre. These guys are tremendous and you can certainly bounce to this cd. Enjoy.

5 comments about Christmas Is Jesus.
- I would say that this is one of the greatest Christmas CDs! The songs are very inspirational and moving!
- For his 1995 Christmas release, Bryan Duncan arranged many classic and almost classic songs to fit his normal style. The result is a CD that sounds different enough to be enjoyed when the familiar Christmas sounds are feeling old. It combines familiar, lesser known traditional, and new songs on a fresh way.
For example, the CD starts off with the lesser recorded "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day." Here it becomes a moving ballad. Next up is an upbeat pop rendition of "Angels We Have Heard on High." "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing" is presented later in the same vein. "What Child is This?" is combined with the hymn "What Wondrous Love is This?" for an interesting combination I had never thought of before but love. The two new songs are "Christmas is Jesus" and "The Form of Man." While I'm not too fond of the first one, I love the second and listen to it plenty of times during December as I, too, wonder at the thought of God becoming man. Toward the end of the CD, he provides a few secular Christmas songs. His version of "Grown-Up Christmas List" is almost as good as Amy Grant's (still my favorite). After the almost requisite "The Christmas Song," the CD closes with "Please Come Home for Christmas." I'd never heard this song before, but I really find myself singing along with this bluesy pop song. If you want a CD that will freshen up your Christmas music collection this is it. I've enjoyed it for a number of years.
- I don't buy a lot of music because I'm pretty picky about what I like. This one is one of my top six favorites Christmas CD's and all six of those are so close to number one that I can't really decide which I like most.
So, with that said, I can't imagine NOT having this CD around at Christmas time. I won't go on with a lot of details other than to say that besides myself, I don't know anyone else who has this CD that don't like it. Yes, some songs are better than others but there are NO bad cuts here.
- This has to be the best Christmas CD I own. Most of Bryan Duncan's music is very upbeat, high-energy (he screams a lot) but this CD is more quiet and reflective. At the same time, it's not dull. A choir in the background on most of the songs makes you feel like you're at a live Christmas concert. All the old songs sound fresh, while the new ones are instant classics. If you only get one Christmas album this year, buy this one!
- I've purchased a few Bryan Duncan CDs and I haven't been disappointed yet. This Christmas album is no exception... it's wonderful! Bryan's incredible voice delivers on these traditional and new Christmas songs. I especially love the title song 'Christmas is Jesus', which I first heard a couple of years ago on a Christian radio station... the poignant lyrics and melody are absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this recording to your Christmas music collection.

- This album is off the hook! Too many strong points to mention them all. The truth stays clear as the track are nicely laid. Awesome production!
- This is a great album that should be heard by everyone. Beats on here are nice and Ambassador has some real MC skills. He drops great hip hop lines and the dude has a serious heart for the Lord. As a die hard hip-hop fan I was really impressed by this album.
Even my non-christian friends loved this CD. If you are looking for a way to break the stubborness of your friends (like I am) then this cd is a great tool. I've found that music is a great tool to soften non-believers' hearts.
- This cd is one of the worst Christain Rap album ever made!!! everything from the beatz to the flow made me wanna skip it...
- I'm a serious Cross Movement fan and I appreciate this effort to educate the church about Hip-Hop. If there is anyone who should spear head this mission it should be the Ambassador. However this album is not just for the church but for any fan of good music. Once you listen you'll feel this powerful message.

- Ambassador was the first album I got from Cross Movement, and in many ways this artist introduced me to Christian rap. I loved his first CD, Christology, for its message and great variety of beats. Yet, this timeI didn't feel that in his latest album. As one reviewer said, too many of his songs are very upbeat and sound similar. The beats lack variety and seems a little uninspired. In my opinion, they actually took away from his lyrics and at times message. I give him credit for serving the Lord, but not much credit for a lesser album.
I still collect the Cross Movement albums for their wonderful message of God. But right now, my favorite is Lacrae...that guy has crazy lyrics, beats, and a powerful annoiting of God.. Maybe Ambassador will be my favorite again, but not this time.

- this CD was a little more Deep and spiritual than the previous album than Jesus Freak, and the rock is heavier than any album they have put out. Buy this CD you wont regret it
- God Bless You all. This rumor of DCTALK spliting up is not true there taking a break this year (2000) to work on there solo projects. But for some back up you can visit either DCTALK.COM, KEVINMAX.COM or FOREFRONTRECORDS.COM please guys don't spread untrue things without knowing the facts. Thanks and God Bless... Oh and by the Way there Music Is Definietly Worth it....There Truly Inspirational.
- I play this CD day and night and it NEVER gets old. Their songwriting is soaring to new heights and their raw talent and fire for God radiates from their music. It's just plain awesome! These guys sure know how to write music. They are with no argument some of the most talented guys in music today, and the best band you've heard, Christian or not! Best of all, they realize that God rulz and are willing to show that through their music. These guys just plain RULE! They're beyond words.
Their lyrics are one of the most outstanding aspects of their music, if there IS anything that can be compared to the overall perfect quality. Red Letters, Supernatural, and Consume Me have some of the most powerful lyrics I've ever heard. It just drives, man! Just listen to them, and you'll understand!
- Wow, DC Talk continues to write some of the most amazing song and sounds ever recorded by anyone, if you are a fan of good music of any type, you must get this CD. I hope they keep up the amazing work.
- This is one of my favorite CD's ever! (my most favorite is Jesus Freak) And to everone that is a fan of dc talk, they are NOT breaking up. At my local radio station, one of the dj's talked with toby mckeehan, and he siad they are NOT splitting. IO hope this clears up the rumors, and by the way, buy this CD if you already haven't!

- Although I am not a big rap fan, I found several tracks I liked. My daughters and I sing "No Wed, No Bed" a lot. I thought that was a good message for young people. I also liked Static and Devils Get Dropped. I agree, I would have like to have heard more "Jesus" and "God" and "Savior" in the lyrics, but overall, I thought it was a decent CD. I checked out the company's website, www.soldiersound.com and found really good videos. I really liked the rock video! I believe he is annointed and is a good witness for those who like this type of music. Even though this isn't my first choice of music, I believe it is for those who are lost and enjoy this type of music. I know people who worked with this CD and Pettidee and he is a nice geniune person who is God-fearing. Continue what you are doing Pettidee...use the talen God gave you.
- Yur Ok bro. Good hard hittin beats with dity South flavor. just rep the King more man. You do a good job of it, but I like it preached heavy duty.
Get this if you want hard hitting dirty south but just a 6 rating on the Jesus rep'n
- No real catchy tunes... some beats tricked me and made me expect that the lyrics would be pumping, but in every case I was let down. "I don't read the bible, I live it..." though you may still read the bible... um shouldn't there be a "just" in there too?
Nothing really caught my ear at all like with Thug Love, nothing to sing along with, nothing to... ah! I skip most of the songs to get to other artists!
Though I support the artist's ministry, I think I should have bought it used cheaper like it is now (under 3 bucks a pop).
