2 comments about The Ultimate Popular Christian Songs.
- The title is definitely a little misleading because I wouldn't consider any of these to be Christian songs. The CD really is just not that good.
- The songs on this CD are very touching and at 6.99CDN, it's a great bargain!

5 comments about Steel Witness.
- To much contempory Christian sounds like it already died and went somewhere--but not this album, it has a good beat, an accurate message.
- This leaves little room where CDB and this brand of country folk stand on a number of issues. I will stand with then until we all perish. No fear, and no regrets. Love it, or get the hell out of the way.
- If you are in the mood for some soulful gospel on steroids Charlie Daniels Steel Witness is for you. One of the great qualities of this album is Daniels powerful song writing abilities. He shines in this area. Most of the theology is fairly solid, my only complaint is that it is a tad heavy on end times focus. The background vocals in my opinion add a lot to the quality of this album.
The song simly titled "Jesus" is amazing, summing up the power of His ministry, the power of a relationship with him for the believer, and His power to save, transform and deliver. It is simply an inspiring song with an inspiring and truthful message. The tune "He's Not Here" while a little heavy on the guitar rifts is about the power of the resurrection, excellent summation of the hope and glory of Christianity. Another great song is "New Pharisee," everybody knows a few of these Church attendees. This has an excellent message that highlights the freedom and liberation we are provided in Christ.
A few of the songs are not really that exceptional. If this album was speaking about items other than the power and truth of Christianity it might be mediocre, but the truth and witness of the words are powerful. All in all Daniels has created a rocking powerful praise album. If you are a seeker, or a sinner saved by grace jump on board.
- I love Charlie Daniels and The Door is one of my favorite albums for dancing my prayers. So I ordered Steel Witness expecting the same. The music doesn't disappoint, although it is perhaps somewhat less compelling than that in The Door, being less coordinated. But I have some theological issues with three songs, since I come from a tradition which does not accept his Rapture theology. But that doesn't stop me from playing the album- I just rachet up my tamborines and dance along to the glory of God.
- There was no mistaking about this being Charlie Daniels. However, every song seemed to be at the same pace and tempo.
It sounded like his bus was running outside and he was in a hurry to get going. Some Gospel Music just can't be sang in a fast tempo and still have the same message. I've collected and sung Gospel Music for 40yrs. I'm glad Charlie is singing a different tune these days .... but he needs to slow it down a bit.

5 comments about Christmas with Sandi Patti: The Gift Goes On.
- Sandi Patty's voice is pure, lyrical--simply gorgeous--and this remains my favorite Christmas album. She is a stellar musician, and no one has surpassed her yet for sheer vocal quality and ability. The songs are beautiful. "Bethlehem Morning" is reminiscent of Barbra Streisand in style, but its message reaches beyond anything Streisand ever dreamt of.
- Sandi Patti's voice is so like Christine Wyrtzen's. Sandi Patti has touched the hearts of millions who buy her wonderful albums and this great Christmas Album "The Gift Goes On" is no exception! I love the "Christmas Was Ment For Children" is a wonderful song full of love to reach a child and I really like it. God has given us all great gifts and he has turely made the "Gift That Goes On" everyday in Sandi's life. Buy this album today if you are looking for a good Christmas album. Sandi will be sure to "warm" your heart right away as you listen to her voice! I am sure I have convinced you at this point to but the album so WHAT are you waiting for! Click on "add to shopping cart" now!
- This mid-80's release from one of the best female vocalists of our time is a charmer. It's been a family favorite since we got it several years after it came out.
The collection is actually over half original songs, but still manages to feel Christmassy right from the start. It opens with the fun "Worship the King" and after a medley of traditional carols, goes to the equally fun title song. The version of "O Holy Night" on this CD is one of my favorites anywhere, and ranks above her rendition on her second Christmas CD. The other highlight is "Bethlehem Morning," which focuses on the impact of Jesus' birth on us today and always. I have heard other people sing the song, but this is my favorite version. If you're a fan of Sandi Patty's other 80's albums, you'll love this one because it's very similar musically to them. There are several songs that allow her to show off her amazing vocal range without overpowering the song or album as a whole. This is one album I look forward to listening to every year at Christmas time.
- I loved this CD. Sandi's voice lifts you up and gets you in the Christmas spirit. The song "The Gift Goes On" is an excellent children's Christmas song and "Bethlehem Morning" which is my favorite, touches my heart and is very inspirational. This entire album is very upbeat and praises God. I highly recommend this CD.
- This is a nice cd of Christmas songs that has a very strong Christian element. The non-traditional Christmas songs start out well but don't seem to go anywhere and just sound repetitious. The best part to me were the two medleys of traditional Christmas songs. Ms. Patti (Patty?)'s voice and technique always reminded me of other singers, they didn't sound unique. Unless you particularly want Christian songs, I cannot recommend this cd as more than nice. Onward with the quest to add new Christmas cds to the small collection of gems I've located over the years.

5 comments about Hymns and Meditations.
- ...if I could only take one. Really. It's that good. But I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to cd's entitled "hymns and meditations". I don't want "modern" garage-band versions, nor do I want glissando-ized Liberace piano stomping. (Picture me standing in an elevator Edvard Munch-style with a permanent screech on my face.)
The first hymn, "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" is worth the price of the entire cd. Most church choir directors take the thing way too fast (in my opinion...which, since you are reading this, must be worth something). It's not a march. Fernando does this hymn sweet and slow-tempoed justice. His use of accordion and cello is beautifully orchestrated in some of the hymns, and others are simply his wonderful playing and voice. A truly intimate and mostly quiet worship experience. When I say quiet though, I only mean not leaping through an "alive!" audience shouting hallelujah. My heart does this well enough with just Fernando and the car cd player. Probably just as well for my fellow travelers on I-65 that I'm not leaping from the sunroof. Trying to put into words what makes Fernando special, or this particular cd stand out from his others, is difficult. In a way, it almost seems to be a "sacred romance" to his God. There is something wonderfully personal that I don't often find in other artists. In fact, this cd is my "gold standard" for all other worship cd's. I am always on the lookout for other artists and cd's with this same spark...if you are of like mind, please send recommendations to shrinkrapt@aol.com. Or flames to badgoat@charter.net.
- A friend recommended this CD. I take it with me wherever I go and am having problems keeping it. All my friends are asking for the name of the album and where they can get it.
Fernando's voice is absolutely a delight to listen to. The piano music is haunting and worshipful. A must!
- If you like the way Fernando arranges and interprets hymns (and I do), then you'll love this CD. It's pretty easy on the ears, with his trademark style of tender playing and earnest vocals, and pretty stripped-down with only an occasional contribution from a cello or an accordion. The whole CD is like this, so there's nothing that makes you go, "Wow! Now that's a new reading of that old classic!", but that may be what you want on occasion. Sometimes you want a put on a CD to accompany your Bible-reading or meditation, but you don't want to put it on if there's gonna be a song (or two, or three) that will clamor for your attention. So, Fernando's dynamic rendition of "All Creatures of Our God and King" is not going to be on an album like this. And if that's what you're looking for, then this is it.
Me - I want just a bit more variety track to track, even if I am meditating. Not that anything has to razzle-dazzle me here, but maybe an a cappella version of a standard (maybe with light organ coming in near the end or something) or a hymn where he's singing and a harp is going too. That would have gotten this 5 stars. Hey, four stars is a good album though, and this is quality stuff.
- Hymns and Meditations is the third Fernando Ortega CD that we've purchased and we're well pleased. Fernando has such a pleasant, peaceful voice that is very soothing. These song are all done very reverently and glorify and give honor to The Lord. Several friends and family members have heard this CD playing in our van or at home and have been impressed, and expressed an interest in it. Highly recommended!
- I try to be objective in evaluating anything-- you know, throw the bad in with the good. However, there isn't anything bad to say about this album. I LOVE THIS ALBUM! Fernando Ortega's "Hymns & Meditations" collection is one of the most beautiful albums I have ever listened to. The arrangements appeal to almost every taste. I have played this album for non-Christian friends and they have RAVED about it. It is truly beautiful music; the string instruments in conjunction with the beautiful voice and piano of Fernando Ortega, with a little accordian thrown in... it is just delicious! I had heard only one song by Fernando Ortega when I purchased this album... His rendition of "Con Que Pagaremos" that he performed on the Promise Keepers "Breaking Down the Walls" (1996) album prompted me to buy that CD for that song alone! I have since played that song about 1,000 times and memorized the lyrics (I speak a little Spanish)... I burned that song onto a disk and copied 'Hymns and Mediations' behind it, to play in the car. It is my favorite CD and most of my popular music selections have had to move aside (at least for awhile). This music is so nice to listen to at almost anytime of the day. I am a police officer; this music is so soothing and beautiful that it helps me keep the world in perspective. I enjoy it at the end of hard day, or anytime. Fernando's instrumental re-makes of many of the old gospel songs I grew up listening to are fantastic. I have shared this music with my family and they all love it. This truly is a prize winning rose in the garden of music! I look forward to purchasing more of Fernando's work when my budget allows. God Bless You Fernando Ortega!

- Steve Green is an outstanding artest and this recording is no exception. I THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PROMPT DELIVERY OF A PRODUCT IN EXCELLANT CONDITION.
- This is an excellent hymn CD. Steve Green has a pure and gifted tenor voice. The orchestra is first rate too. My wife is an cello expert and has grown up with classical music. We both really like the orchestra and the selection of hymns. A highly recommended item!!
- Great old-fashioned hymns sung by one of the cleanest and clearest voices in Christian music. This recording lifts me to a higher place.
- I would have to highly recommend this CD to anyone who feels that he could not tangibly feel the presence of God. This CD was given to me by an army friend. I was suffering emotionally in a highly violent-oriented and emotionally straining basic military training. Just when I feel I could not handle it anymore, Holy Holy Holy came to the rescue and like an inspiration, created an epiphany in me that there is hope and uplifted my spirits.
Just in case you are in similar situations, remember to listen to the traditional hymns like those in this CD which have withstood the test of time and fads, to emerge as a classic inspiration.
- It is so wonderful to hear music that Praises our Lord and Saviour, like this does! In today's compromising times, it is very discouraging to have to sift through what is now called Christian music. I highly recommend this CD to anyone who is serious in what they listen to for edification.

2 comments about Vol. 1-Donut Man Bible Songs.
- We love this tape and the songs stay with you! Our son played it so much, he wore it out... now we have to buy a new one for our baby daughter. Buy this one - you won't regret it. Remember: "Life without Jesus is like a donut, 'cause there's a hole in the middle of your heart!"
- This cassette is absolutely wonderful! My 2 year old daughter would like to listen to this all day, and my 5 yr old son likes it a lot too. On top of that, I love it. The songs on here all seem so anointed, in spite of it being geared towards children, and even I could listen to these songs all the time. This cassette contains wonderful worship songs, that totally fill the room with the presence of the Lord. What an incredibly awesome tool to bring children to know God! Thanks, "Donut Man", I'm looking forward to more stuff from you!

2 comments about Very Best of Steve Archer.
- The Very Best of Steve Archer is a CD you must have! His music touches your heart. On this CD you can listen, enjoy, and understand the words! If you are a musician, you will enjoy the talent of the vocals, the background vocals, and musicical arrangements. Many of these songs have a soft jazz sound, others remind me of a soft 1960s southern California sound, and others have a wonderful gospel flavor. The only thing better than this CD is seeing him perform in person! Lucky Me! I collect his CDs and I thank you Amazon.com for having this CD for sale!
- Excellent gospel grammy awarded singer. An Outstanding collection. Inspirational music for the soul...what a performance and voice. Like the style of Chris Christian.

- This CD is absolutely astonishing!! Connie Smith's clear, pure voice both moves and elates!! This CD has something for everyone! Connie Smith belts out her super hits like, Once A Day and Run Away Little Tears that tug at your heart and then contrasts those sad hits with her light, lively and exciting, I've Got My Baby on My Mind and If It Ain't Love (Let's Leave it Alone). And if that weren't enough, this CD includes a medley of ten favorites that will have you playing it again and again!! It will both entertain and move you!! I am so thrilled Connie is back and as stong as ever!!
