- I had never really thought much of Billy Sprague's pop music until I heard this recording and it is definitely his best. Not only that but it is among the best contemporary Christian albums ever made. It isn't always easy to translate emotions like the loss of a loved one into good music, but Billy does just that in an impressive way. I agree with the other reviewers here that every song is good, even the lighter more pop ones. This album also brings back memories for me personally because I made a mixed tape for my then girlfriend (now wife) which included the song "Two-Way Street". We had only been dating a year at that point but the tape was full of memorable songs we both liked. Now fourteen years later that old tape is full of emotion and more memories. I can only imagine what emotions Billy Sprague feels when he looks back to that time.
- I bought this CD strictly for a song being played on the radio called "Heaven is a long Hello" I knew the general meaning of the song but I didn't know at the time the personal meaning for Billy. When I received the CD I actually loved every song which is unusual. You usually only like 2 or 3 at most. The compassion and emotion that poured out of this man's voice made me go back and pull the insert to find out what inspired him. It was then that I found out that his Fiance had passed away 2 days following a tragic car accident. The final letter she wrote him was a plea for him to press on. Because of the devastation of her loss it took 3 years but he used this CD not only to "Press On Mi Amor" but to honor her. The end of February my mom's cousin called me from N.C. and said that his daughter, who is a GA state trooper here in GA was planning to get married in April and he asked me to try to make it so that I could see every one again. A week later he called my mom and told her the wedding had been cancelled. Her fiance, who appearantly been a Sheriff's Deputy served an arrest warrant on a man. He was wearing his protective gear and had his weapon pulled on the man but was unaware of the man's father hiding in the hallway. He was shot in the face and killed. I bought another copy of this CD and sent it to her in hopes that she could identify with the experiences and emotions that Billy went through. God Bless anyone who has gone through something like this. My prayers are with you.
- Billy Sprague's fiance's death devastated him. The songs on this CD take you through his journey from grief to healing. The notes on the insert give wonderful insights into his songs. Every song is wonderful--and it's rare that I like every song on a CD. This is one you'll want to listen to from start to finish many, many times and one you'll want to share with your friends. The style of the music is contemporary, a style I think everyone can appreciate since it's not distinctly rock, country, or other labelled style. I highly recommend this recording.

Some of the tracks are simply amazing pop music , but deeper and more clever (Stop the Dominoes) while others are James Tayloresqe heartrending acoustic lamentations (Lonely One) but each his lovely and catchy. This is my second favorite Mark Heard album, next to "Victims of the Age", and thus, one of my favorite albums of all time.
- a little like Lindsey Buckingham with an occasional James Taylor Moment, this disc is my fave from the 80s of anyone. Muscular, intelligent, crisp rock and roll with a folk touch (occasional bluesy bits) make for a great listen.
- For fans of Bruce Cockburn, T-bone Burnett, et al. this album is one of my 2 or 3 all-time faves. Sounds a little like Lindsey Buckingham (with an occasional James Taylor moment) the music is smart, crisp, and literate. If you don't want to think, stay away, otherwise, dig in.

- I've looked around for this CD for quite awhile now. So glad I finally found it! Great seller, fast shipment, very reasonable, new condition! I will shop with this seller again! Thanks
- I have loved the Martins from the time I saw them touring with "Wherever You Are." The harmony of this trio is very impressive, as is their sincerity. Although the Martins are generally classified as "Southern Gospel," the songs on this album cover a very diverse range of styles, and almost anyone can find at least one song that appeals to his or her taste. My personal favorite is "Wherever You Are," because it serves as a reminder that no matter what we're going through, "God is right there beside you, seeing and knowing," and He sees tomorrow as well as the present, so we can trust in Him to keep us.
- I went to see them recently at pensacola florida and they were outstanding. Not only in their sound but also in their worship. You could tell they were not just putting on a show, they were sharing their love of Christ through their singing.
- I saw you perform at our church in Kentucky. and I was so touched by your songs, they are beautiful. Your belief in God, is amazing to me, I am just beginning to understand the awsomness of what He can do and you three are wonderful witnesses. God Bless You All and Thank You.
- There's nothing I don't like about the Martins - they are wonderful! Not only do they have great harmonies, but they are so in tune to God and sing a variety of songs that bless, challenge and encourage. If it's by the Martin's I know it's worth buying and I can't wait to get Dream Big!

2 comments about WOW #1s.
- I have always been a fan of Christian music, but I really love watching the music videos more than listening to the songs on the radio. I bought this for my dad for Christmas and he seemed to really be happy with his gift! My dad is a huge fan of Christian music and I know he likes/loves all of the songs on this DVD. It is great for a gift or even if you just want it for your own collection! I might actually buy another copy sometime soon for myself that is how much I love it!
- Clarification: This DVD is actually for 21 music videos, amazon got the image above from the CD which contains 31 songs. No biggie. Because it is the #1 collection, you get the very mainstream contempory christian music as opposed to WOW annual "Hits" DVD's where there is more of a variety of music stypes (gospel to head-banging rock). The DVD was released a few years ago, so get music from the early 00's to about 10 years back. There are such old-school classics as DC-Talk's "JF", to Audio Adreniline "Big House". DC-Talks "JF" is much darker than I expected. The variety of music video styles is a nice mix between what I would classify 1) theatrical productions 2)concert venues and 3) studio performances. My favorite is ofcourse the theatrical ones because they provide more insight to meaning of the music for the artists. The other are still nice to be able to put a face to the voices heard on the radio and CD's as well as see the non-verbal expressions of the artists emphasing their passion and feelings during certain moments in their songs. While the sound clarity was perfect, I still wish the DVD had a subtitles track, also I'd love some more extras like pop-up triva (or Bible references), and I'd love some interviews with the artists. 21 songs is still well worth the money. Perfect for college youth groups, older teenagers, and 30-somethings at heart.

- I never even knew who Hezekiah Walker was, until I listened to one of my sisters CDs. This man is talented. Every cut on the album is beautiful. I had to go out and purchase my OWN copy. You should too, if you love Gospel.
- One of the powerful cd's on the market. This album will help you though all of lifes situations that may come about. God will speak to you though the vision that he has placed on the artist. A must have addition to your cd collection.
- You would have thought that nothing would have topped the live in atlanta album in 94 which won a grammy, but hez came right back and delivered a soul stirring album in 95 with this one. all the songs fit but my favorite would have to be the remake of the old church melody 99 and a half, its a hot track you wont be dissapointed if you loved live in atlanta, you love live in new york
- I love this CD; it's been a favorite of mine since from the beginning when it first came out until today! I don't think that there has been a CD out there that has completely touched me in a way such as this has. I can listen to it back to back to back without interruptions and still find it lifting and joyful. I can't say for certain which song on this CD is my favorite by far because each and every one of them are exceptionally wonderful in more ways that one! If you love gospel, trust me when I tell you, this is a must have straight from the Lord!
I am giving this CD every star possible and if you decide to purchase it or already have it, I do hope that is brings as much joy to your life as it has to mine!
- Timiney I love you, Come Home has truly been a blessing to me.... I enjoy the whole album with such favorites as How much we can bear,Nothing Else, I'll be satisfied... but come home touches my soul everytime i hear it. Girl you can Sang no doubt, i listen to all your other songs as well, i love your voice, Thank you for being a blessing to me!

- THE SELECTIONS ARE ON BEAT, TIMELY AND RELATABLE. I'VE ENJOYED EVERY SELECTION. MY FAVORITE IS # 5... EVERYONE THAT I SHARE IT WITH THEY ARE IMPRESSED. WOULD LOVE TO HAVE MORE. THIS IS MY SECOND ONE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE "SHAKIN THE HOUSE" VIDEO WHERE HE SINGS A PART. IT IS WONDERFUL...KEEP IT UP, GARY.
- I expected it to be more praise and off the hook, but it wasn't.
This album is more Worship based, which isn't wrong. I just was sad because I had different expectations. This is a good album for worshipping God. I hope his next will be more praize and off the hook. :)
- I was really impressed with the album and I think that Gary should be commended for doing it, it is refreshing and different and I personally feel that it is just what he needed to do, to step out and really explore his talent and capabilities, he has now proved that he can do more then just gospel and do it well to, so I say good for Gary keep it up.
- I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS CD. I HAVE PURCHASED 2 OF GARY OLIVERS PRIOR CDS AND LOVE THEM. I WAS SURE THIS CD WOULD BE RIGHT NEXT TO THEM BUT I WAS SO WRONG. THE OVERRALL CD SEEMS TO HAVE A R&B THEME RATHER THAN GIVING REVERANCE TO GOD. I BELIEVE THAT GARY OLIVER COULD HAVE DONE A MUCH BETTER JOB.

- Shout to the Lord, people! w00t!
This CD rocks. enjoy it well.
- I have a few other children's worship albums, but I think this one is by far the best. First (and most importantly), my kids (almost 2 and 4) both love it. It's so upbeat and clappable and singable, even for the little one (who mostly just joins in with the "Na-na's" they have on a couple of songs, though she does clap and dance to the rest). My older daughter loves to learn the lyrics and practically shouts out the upbeat songs. But even when the slower songs come on and my "upbeat" husband asks her if she wants to fast forward, she emphatically says no.
And what makes this CD stand out from the other ones I have is that my husband and I both really enjoy listening to it ourselves. It's not that we don't appreciate the all-kiddie versions, but if it's enjoyable to our adult ears we will certainly play it more often for our kids. My husband even wanted to put it in his car to take with him to work. I like, though, that this is not simply all adults -- you can hear the kids singing through in every song. And just like the church where this was recorded (Northpoint in Georgia, where we went to a conference once), the CD worships the Lord without putting quality on the backburner. I highly recommend it, for both parents and children!
- I Give You My Heart is my favorite song on this CD. It's also the best one too!
- My 5 year old special needs child LOVES this album. Music is very soothing, comforting & reassuring for him. This album has gotten him to SING - something that no other album has done.
I can't say enough about this album & am about to purchase another copy (one for the house & one for the car)!
- This is the most played Christian cd I own..even though it is geared for kids, parents will love it as well. If you're thinking about getting this cd for your kids, just do it, you won't be disappointed. As far as I'm concerned, it's the best one on the market. My four-year-old son listens, sings along and dances to it everyday, and falls asleep to it every night. The worship music is very upbeat and fun along with some slower songs that are sweet and heartfelt. I highly recommend this cd!!

- I like this DVD. There are many artists singing and performances of Natalie Grant and Whintley Phipps are superb. Mark Lowry is always funny and GVB sings. But Let Freedom Ring, recorded at same concert, is better.

- A CD of testimonies and personal experience. Thought provoking, when all of God's "Church" should be in preparation for translation. It's time we became colorblind and fulfill the prayer of Christ, "That they all may be one..." John 17:21. A great heartfelt effort from John P. Kee. The title track really moves you.
- This CD touches me to my heart and I recommend everyone to get it because, if this cd let a 19 year old black male realize how good the lord is than the same can happen to you.
- I LOVE REV.JOHN P. KEE,HE HAS CAME OVER TO WHERE, I WORSHIP AND HE"S VERY GENEROUS AND KIND MAN. HIM AND MY PASTOR ARE VERY CLOSE FRIENDS. I LOVE HIM AND HIS MUSIC. AND HIS CHOIR IS SUPERB!
- HOW MANY OF US ARE COLORBLIND
- As always J.P. Kee has written his music to appeal to the young and old alike!
