- I still cannot believe there are so many great songs on this one CD. A great buy for any rock fan!
- I really enjoyed this DVD. It did have some songs on it however that I wouldn't myslef classify as "rock". There is Underoath, Chasing Victory, but there are bands like Mae too, which didn't exactly intrigue me.
- This is an outstanding album. As With all the X series it gives a look into the contemporary Christian Rock. The sampling is very upbeat and all the songs are catchy after two listenings you are hooked. Most songs deliver a christian message others are clean and uplifting. The Christian Rock/contemporary music sampled here is much better than hymns and gets the kids and some of us older kids moving. But back in the day Hymns were contemporary. I would much rather have the kids singing this in the back seat than the Iron Maiden I used to listen too!!!!
- I do like the fact that our Youth can enjoy Music with out Sex,Drugs, and Self. I just am sad about the lack of true Doctrinal Theme to these song's that are more POP than Truth. Great beat and good vocal's on some and they accomplish what they mean to.Dont ever forget the true sweetness of the Hynm's and the attitude of Worship He requires.Never desire POP-Christian Song's more than His WORD,Lord may it never be.Amen

- ...some of the Gaither Vocal Bands' songs are too hip for my tastes.
Come on Bill...quit with the contemporary (I call them contemptible myself) songs!

5 comments about Higher Ground.
- Purchased this CD for my son from his Christmas wish list -- but I also have enjoyed it very much. It was shipped and received exactly as promised with no problems.
- I've been more a blues and rock fan, but after hearing the Blind Boys of Alabama on their "There Will Be a Light" CD with Ben Harper I decided to buy "Higher Ground". What a great CD and what moving music. Every cut is superb. I would recommend this CD to anyone who likes great music.
- I love this album! They all have great soulful voices and a really great back-up band. Nice variety of songs from slow ballads to rocking blues.
- Glad they weren't the Deaf Boys of Alabama. My first listen was off Peter Gabriel's latest album which features the Blind Boys in a couple tracks. Great harmonies brought me to this album, and after accidentally running into a concert of theirs during the Montreal Jazz Festival a night before I was to see Peter Gabriel in concert, I was only disappointed that they didn't show up to perform at the last concert of Gabriel's tour the next night. However, I was in awe! The presence, the power and they rocked the house. I wished I was able to find a rockin baptist church so I could hear this kind of live musical power on a weekly basis. You won't be disappointed in this CD.
- Though they have gospel origins, the Blind Boys of Alabama have garnered world-wide secular acclaim with the raw passion of their singing and harmonizing. They've been together for so many decades that they have all blended their vocal skills together to form a spiritual orchestra that moves you through not just spiritual classics but some original versions of popular contemporary hits as well.

2 comments about Thomas Kinkade: 33 Best Loved Hymns.
- I recently saw the Christmas Thomas Kinkade DVD while at a friends Christmas party. It was beautiful instrumental music along with the Kinkade pictures. I asked for the "33 best loved hymns" for Christmas - hoping it would be similarly recorded. It is not! This one has vocals on each song. The previous reviewer loved the singing. . .guess it just isn't my type of music.
- The hymns were well sung, and the Thomas Kinkade backgrounds enhanced the words of the hymns. Listening to that DVD several times was a very worshipful experience. Some of our friends have also listened to these hymns with us. We have also purchased this DVD as gifts for family members and friends.

- My favorite song on this cd is Still Here. the others are ok, but not as touching to me.
- How can I write a review if I can't listen to your tracks. We, my husband and I, love your music but don't feel comfortable buying anything without listening first....you're great; but we want to hear first. I was able to listen to other CD's why not this one: Still Here! Oh, the reason I rated this item with 1 star was this email won't allow me to submit without selecting something!
Thank you.
- I heard a clip of "Still Here" and fell in love all over again. What wonderful harmonies. I really felt as if I too could make it through another day's journey with style, grace and a renewed determination. The Williams Brothers "got it". It's that special something-something that makes a song into a legend. They make your hearing beg for more sweet sounds of truth set to music. They are the gospel poets of the new millennium. You will love this album. When you are trying to say something special, put on this album and let it flow...
- I just love this CD, and this group. I am a huge fan of The Williams Brothers. My favorite on this CD is All I Need is You. Keep up the good work! You have a fan in me for life.

The Williams Brothers still make great gospel albums. Still Here, their new CD is full of great gospel tracks that will have you shouting. No filler here, this is one well-crafted album that can be listened to from the first track to the last without skipping a song. My favorites are-Aaah I love every song on this album. Get this album and Williams Brothers Greatest hits Volume one and have some church in your house, or in your car on the way to work.

- A beautiful collection of classic church and worship hymns- orignally released by Madacy(budget)music label as a single CD of only 33 tracks(disc 2 of this complete 3 disc set). Performances by 1001 strings, Joslin Grove Choral Society and others- contains the classics "Sweet Hour Of Prayer", The Church's One Foundation", "Redeemed", as well as a few nice intermedi pieces like the intro to Handel's Messiah. Highly recomended for the Christian music library.

5 comments about Milagro.
- I found "Milagro" to be about what I expected: a lot like Jaci's previous two Spanish albums, "Llegar A Ti and Mi Corazon." For those who liked those albums, definitely consider adding "Milagro" to your collection. As was the case with Jaci's previous Spanish albums, "Milagro" includes a few upbeat songs, a few slower ones, and a couple of songs which I recognized to be Spanish versions of English songs which can be found on other of her records. The main drawback of "Milagro" is that the lyrics are not printed in the album's booklet. To native or otherwise fluent Spanish-speakers, that won't be a problem, but for me, having the lyrics in front of me is helpful, since my Spanish comprehension is a little slow. So I had to listen to the album a few times to understand what Jaci was singing. I was pleased, but not surprised, to find that most of her lyrics were focused on her relationship with the Lord Jesus. As far as lyrical content is concerned, I would have to say that track 7, "A Un Paso De Mi Amor", is my favorite. Regarding the sound of the music in general, my favorite is track 4, "Un Tracito De Cielo."
- I bought this album on a CD spree. It was one of several CDs. Tough competition! I admit, the only songs on here that were immediately attention-getting (high-impact, fast impression) were "No Hace Falta Un Hombre" and "Es Amor." I guess one of these was a song to a Spanish drama. I usually only listen to the tracks that demand my attention per CD, over and over, and end up forgetting the others (since I have so many CDs), but I would later give the others another chance, letting the CD just play through. I don't know why they took some getting used to, but there are PLENTY of AMAZING tracks on this CD! Most people refer to songs that have a slow tempo as a ballad, but to me a ballad is a song that is not only slow, but also very subdued and quiet. These songs wouldn't fit into that category. On most of these there is a very audible chorus that sings verses throughout a song, and some were written as though they switch back and forth (between Jaci and the chorus). I've never heard pop that is this amazing. It wasn't memorable at first, but "Eres Tan Grande" was a song that you later one day recall, and you have to drop whatever it is that you are doing and give it another listen. Its "concept" finally clicks. Jaci's performance of "A Un Paso De Mi Amor" (I've seen this track on other singer's CDs) is also excellent! She has a very unique voice. Ne'er too high, but definitely with range. She sounds so different when singing low notes and high notes. The low notes have so much power, but the high notes are so soft. BTW I don't speak Spanish at all. No need, though. I love these songs. "Milagro" is also excellent. Such an inspiring sound (I don't know what she's singing about). Last but not least, "Me Valga Dios" has almost a traditional sound to it. No trumpets, but the bass line is the up-down, slow type, yet the melody is so cheerful that it becomes addictive. There are so few CDs that have so many excellent, single-caliber songs like this one!
- This by far Jaci's greatest Spanish album and even compared to her english cds this is still one of my favorites.
Milagro & Jaci Velasquez (Self titled) are the best. Her CD unspoken was'nt very good, but this camp out the same year and this was really good. I hope her fall release (Of 2004) will be as good as Milagro! :D
- Wow!!!!! This is one of the most beautiful CDs I have heard in a long time! This is not your typical Latin album that you are hearing, guys. It does have the mix of Spanish guitars, dance, pop, ballads, and tons more. It is a very beautiful collection full of clean, unconditional love, plus some praise and worship of God, among other topics.
Jaci has proven herself again, with a deep maturity to her voice, with a lot of emotive versatility. The songs she picked for this particular album are all so outstanding!
1. "En El Centro De Mi Corazon": This is a great song to introduce the rest of the CD, because it starts out very soft, as an intro, and then...BANG! Jaci hits it again!
2. "No Hace Falta Un Hombre": This is the Spanish hit of her single, "I Don't Need A Man" from the movie, CHASING PAPI. This is a cool song. Jaci wrote both versions.
3. "Milagro": The title track, which is so inspiring, because it reminds me of her hit single "Llegar A Ti" (My all-time favorite song of hers)! Awesome!
4. "Un Trocito De Cielo": A good song to dance to! Good beat, great rhythm!
5. "Perdida Sin Ti": This song is cool, 'cause it has this edgy rock sound to it.
6. "Eres Tan Grande": This song is also neat, because it has sort of an R&B sound, only it has its own thing about it as well.
7. "A Un Paso De Mi Amor": I absolutely LOVE this song!! Her voice is just beautiful on it! I love singing it,'cause it gives me a feeling of knowing God's presence is truly here! The Spanish version of "Just A Prayer Away".
8. "Me Valga Dios": I love the intro music to this song. Jaci sings this song with a delightful emotion!
9. "Es Amor": I love this one as well! It's simple, but very pretty!
10. "A Tu Lado Es Mi Lugar": This is the Spanish version of Jaci's "Where I Belong" from UNSPOKEN. I really like both versions; Jaci co-wrote them as well!
11. "Mi Vida No Es Nada Sin Ti": This is a really beautiful song, co-written by another all-time fave of mine, Gloria Estefan! I believe it's the Spanish version of her hit, "Can't Stay Away From You." Great job, Jaci!
Jaci, you did it again! Congrats, and may your faith in Christ remains undying all your days! Plus your music!!!
- I was concerned at how tough a job it would be for Jaci Velasquez to top her last "Mi Corazon", but this cd has some great surprises. It is clear that she has matured since her last projects:
She is not only tackling important emotions but her voice at certain times has incredible bravado ("A un Paso de Tu Amor") which had yet to be experienced as passionately and outstandingly in past projects. These songs seem to showcase her vocal abilities/control better than any other...Her voice knows when to shy way and when to break through. It is evident that she has pushed her voice creatively to new limits. Only one track (Me Valga Dios) seems a bit of a mismatch (in style) but all in all the album is one of the best of the year in latin pop.She diligently makes it clear that she's many things: vulnerable, strong, questioning, assured...It is a great/brave for a Christian artist these days to express her faith and feel confident enough to reflect on and celebrate love (pure love) in parallel markets. Must listen to: * Moving confessional : "A Tu Lado es Mi Lugar" * Rougher electro-rock texture of "Perdida Sin Ti" * Soft vulnerability of "Es Amor" BEST SURPRISE: Last Track: "Mi Vida no es Nada Sin Ti". This is an INCREDIBLE spanish cover of Gloria Estefan's "Can't Stay Away from You". She holds her own here. I recommend it! (HIghly)

5 comments about Look To You.
- I love the digital age because you don't have to purchase a whole CD to get 2 good songs. However no need to worry on this album - digital or physical, you'll want the whole thing! Rarely do I encounter an album where a majority of the songs are good - let alone where every one is. Each and every song on this album is a masterpiece, from the title track "Look To You" to the United version of Awesome God. I highly recommend it - you won't be disappointed (I've had this album for a few years now, and I haven't tired of it).
- I have been listening to Hillsong (and more recently Hillsong United) for the past 7 years. This is definitely one of their best works. Marty Simpson, front man for this group, is heavily involved on the majority of the tracks. I would gladly pay twice retail for this if I had to. Fantastic CD. Comes with a DVD of the same audio performance that is recorded. There are no weak tracks on this disc. The music has helped me to focus on the Lord as I make my way to and from work or when hanging out with friends. Standouts include tracks 1, 2, 4, 8, 10, 11, 13. None of the others are bad, these are just personal faves. God bless.
- I have heard of Hillsong many times before but dont think I have ever heard a Hillsong performance or song before today. In one day this album has become one of my favorites. Right up there with Michael W Smith "Worship". Helps you get your focus on God.
Good stuff!
- This CD is awesome! The songs are uplifting and the music is very contemporary. Our whole family enjoys it!
- Anyone young and looking for genuine young praise music should get this. God takes incredibly talented people and makes their talents multiply like crazy. an all of the music is so filled with worship for GOd. a must have, our youth group listens to this stuff all the time now.

- I listen to this CD all the time. He is so talented and a true man of his faith in our Lord.
- Anything this good by Russ Taff gets five stars, of course. However, this recording will be appreciated more by his new fans than those who knew him before the Gaither Vocal Band times. Taff has always been the greatest male gospel vocalist I've ever heard, with a rock / blues / folk intensity that has to be heard to be believed. Having said all that, this recording is COMPLETELY MISNAMED. It is the best of the "new" Russ Taff. If you really want to hear the "best of Russ Taff" (and don't mind a lot of aggressive rock / country rock guitar in the mix), skip immediately over to "The Way Home," in my opinion one of the top five Christian rock / pop recordings ever. Or you could pick up "We Will Stand--Yesterday and Today," which is the "best of" collection of the "other" Russ Taff (and which includes several songs from "The Way Home"). "We Will Stand" also has many early songs, including some from the Imperials years as well as the anthem-like title track. Now I realize that this review is more about other Taff recordings than about this one being reviewed. However, I just didn't want anyone fooled by the title. If you saw Russ on a Gaither television show and want that style--this recording is for you.
- This album is a must for any Russ Taff fan. All the songs are songs from his past except for one new song. Any of his previous recording are redone so that all sound great. This isn't as rocky as some of his older stuff, but this gives you a chance to hear his great voice.

- I'm typically not into this type of music at all, but I think that's just a testament to how strong this record is. I'm more into Metallica, or Sufjan Stephens, or Weezer, or Wu Tang... Gospel has always been a pretty boring spot on my musical spectrum. This album really turned my head around. The spanish guitar flair, his incredibly strong melodies, lovely Christian lyrics without being cheesy or tired, and a really wonderful male voice. He doesn't push too hard and come off fake like many gospel acts I've heard. Rather, he has an almost calm, but unwavering voice that takes a strong lead in each track. Worth a listen at least, but I'd recommend a purchase for anyone with an open mind.
- This is a great cd that my daughter and I have listened to too many times to count.I truly encourage parents to read Anthony's dedication to God and his family. His priorities are just where they should be.What a positive infuence he is for the world.
- I stumbled upon this CD in my desperate search for good Christian music. I know everyone has their opinion of good, but let's face it, we all know a great song when we hear it. Fearless and Everything in Me are great songs and could hold their own next to any secular R&B tunes. All the songs are good and you don't keep thinking while listening - Why is Christian music so average??? Get this CD and keep it playing till the next one comes out. Go Anthony!!!!
- Absolute EXCELLENCE has rendered me still with no words to describe the wonderful emotions that have come over me. EVEN MORE is Evans singing with a unique quality and passion over beautiful production. 5 stars indeed!!
- This is an excellent contempary christian cd. If you enjoy Micheal W. Smith or Crystal Lewis this one's for you. Although he is Rev. Tony Evans son he has his own ministry.
