5 comments about WOW Worship: Aqua.

  1. Wow Worship Aqua is an awesome collection of music. It totally got me into the spirit of worshipping our Lord.

  2. One of the best worship CDs I have listened to! Almost all my favorite songs are on the CDs. Being able to listen to these worship songs helps me stay focused on God even while I'm deployed.

  3. 'THE ANTHEM OF THE LORD'S RENOWN'-"Holy is the Lord"-Bethany Dillon

    Some anthems:

"Worthy is the Lamb"-Passion Worship Band
'Thank You for the cross, Lord. Thank You for the price You paid. Bearing all my sin and shame, in love You came and gave amazing grace. Thank You for this love Lord. Thank You for your nail pierced hands. Washed me in Your cleansing flow, now all I know: Your forgiveness and embrace. Seated on the throne, crown You now with many crowns....Darling of Heaven crucified,

    You reign victorious.'

    "Wonderful Maker"-Jeremy Camp
You spread out the skies over empty space, said, let there be light. To a dark and formless world,
Your light was born. You spread out your arms over empty hearts, said, let there be light. To a dark and hopeless world Your son was born. You made the world and saw that it was good, You sent your only son, for you are good. What a wonderful maker, what a wonderful savior, how majestic your whispers, and how humble your love.'

    "Wonderful, Merciful Savior"-Selah
'Wonderful, merciful Savior, precious Redeemer and Friend, who would have thought that a Lamb could rescue the souls of men? Counselor, Comforter, Keeper...You offer hope when our hearts have hopelessly lost the way. You are the One that we praise, You are the One we adore, You give the healing and grace our hearts always hunger for...Almighty, infinite Father, faithfully loving Your own, here in our weakness You find us, falling before Your throne.'

    "Alive, forever Amen."-Warren Barfield
'Let my heart sing out/For Christ the One and only/So powerful and holy/RESCUEd ME/Death won't hurt me now/Because He has redeemed me/No grave will ever keep me/From my King/Worthy is the Lamb/Worthy of our praise/Worthy is the One/Who has overcome the grave...Worthy is the mighty King.'

    "All Who Are Thirsty"-Kutless
'All who are thirsty/All who are weak/Come to the fountain/Dip your heart in the stream of life/Let the pain and the sorrow/Be washed away/In the waves of his mercy/As deep cries out to deep.

Come Lord Jesus come/...Holy Spirit come/...As deep cries out to deep'

    "Sometimes by Step"-Rich Mullins
'Sometimes I think of Abraham/How one star he saw had been lit for me/He was a stranger in this land/And I am that, no less than he/And on this road to righteousness/Sometimes the climb can be so steep/I may falter in my steps/But never beyond Your reach'

    "Who am I"-Casting Crowns
'Who am I? That the eyes that see my sin, would look on me with love, and watch me rise again
Who am I? That the voice that calm the sea, would call out through the rain, and calm the storm in me.

Not because of who I am. But because of what You've done.
Not because of what I've done. But because of who You are.

I am a flower quickly fading/Here today and gone tomorrow/A wave tossed in the ocean/A vapor in the wind/Still you hear me when I'm calling/Lord you catch me when I'm falling/And you told me who I am/I am yours.

Whom shall I fear, whom shall I fear?'

Too bad you can't sing the tunes. That's just a fraction of the songs I sing over and over. I love this!!! It's a fine collection of praise music. I've had this for some time now and have not gotten tired of it yet. The Wow collection of music is a great way to sample christian music and discover artists you may like. I was given several tapes from friends and family members years ago and was not disappointed. Neither will you be. This one's a keeper.

  4. I have been listening to "WOW Aqua" since it came out last year, and have found that like on most of the WOW CD's, there are only certain tracks I really enjoy. Of course this is a matter of taste, and is part of the nature of such compilations.

I do want to note one thing; in response to another reviewer, "My Glorious" is not indicative of all of "Delirious'" music. In fact, "My Glorious" was the first song I heard by Delirious, and I hated it (Now it is one of my favorites). However, I became interested in Delirious because of "Inside/Outside" from their "World Service" album. They have written some of this generations favorite worship songs "Did you Feel the Mountains Tremble?" and "I could sing of your love forever". So, if "My Glorious" puts you off, give Delirious another shot, I suggest "Mission Bell" because it has a good mix of slower and faster tracks.

With that said, the rest of the tracks on both of these CD's contain som of my favorite worship songs such as: "Wonderful, Merciful Savior" by Selah, "Days of Elijah" by Twila Paris, "Sometimes by Step" by Rich Mullins", "The Heart of Worship", "Wonderful Maker" by Jeremy Camp, "How Great is our God", "Who am I", and "Indescribable".

I have spent many hours in worship alone with the version on the first disc of "Here I am to Worship". I am not God so I cannot garuntee which song will move you the most into a spirit of worship, but I can garuntee you that there is definitely at least a few tracks that will take you into the Holy of Holies. So, I strongly encourage you to buy this disc if you are looking for new worship music!!! :D

    ~Amy

  5. This entire albumn is spiritually uplifting....and a total worship cd. It is awesome! I have copied the words of a few songs to send to America's deployed servicemen and women around the world. I wish I could send the albumn to each of them so they could hear the music! Our church sings nearly every one of the songs on this albumn! And I love the different styles of the individual artists.....Agnus Dei (Worthy is the Lamb) by Third Day is almost a Rock style that I love and I am not a fan of Rock music! Which only goes to show that God can be praised in any form of music! Hope, joy, love, praise are all harmonized in this cd. I love it!

  1. This is an awesome cd. The group is amazing and the songs are great. I would recommend this for children and adults.

  2. The CD is 3 out of 5. It has some good songs but overall it lacks the annointing. The songs of worship don't leave time to worship, it transitions to another upbeat song. The soloists struggle vocally on some of the songs as well. I LOVE "Everybody Clap Your Hands", it is the only reason I bought the CD. Overall, it is decent, but don't have high expectations to be transported to a place of worship.

  3. Everybody clap your hands is a wonderful and lively rendition that offers a lot of interaction to give God the praise!!....Haven't heard the whole C.D. yet, but I am sure the entire C.D. is blessed!

5 comments about Hymns.

  1. I have not received this item. I got an email stating that i would be rebated.

  2. Cute, sweet, simple hymns sung by children. The price is right (very cheap- and will make your heart smile. I bought one for myself and my brother.

  3. The selection of traditional hymns is lovely. The voices on the CD are easy to listen to over and over again. Highly suggest this CD for parents wanting to introduce their children to the songs we all grew up with singing in our pews Sunday morning!

  4. Good music for both kids and adults to listen to and sing along with.

  5. As with all of the Cedarmont Kids' material, this CD is truly a blessing. The songs are well recorded with quality singing and instrumentation. My 3 year old daughter and 2 year old son love this CD and I like that they are hearing some of the classic Christian songs that are harder to find nowadays. If you're looking for music to bless your home and warm your environment with the love of God, this music is for you.

5 comments about The Best of Sixpence None the Richer.

  1. I'm a bit of a completist, but I don't buy "best ofs" or "greatest hits" collections for the songs I already have. I get them (used, whenever possible) for the bonus material they add to get suckers like me to buy something again I already have 90% of it. This one is different though.

I welcomed this release as an opportunity to make space on my CD rack by removing many compilations which I had only purchased for the exclusive 6pence track. Goodbye "Dick" soundtrack, no more having to explain your presence. But there are still plenty of CDs that I could have parted with as well, had the songs been included here. The "Bounce" soundtrack, the single for "Us" live on the Today Show(!) are two off the top of my head.

This is far from a "best of" collection, but who needs that anyway? There are already enough Sixpence collections that if you only wanted the early years and the Top 40 years, you could do so with only two or three discs. It would have been better to leave off the album tracks altogether and focus on adding more obscure songs. There are already enough covers, but "Bouquet," "Road to Zion," and even "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" would have been great instead of "There She Goes" and "Don't Dream It's Over." "Rainy Day Assembly" from Tess Wiley's first EP had her singing lead with 6pence backing her up. Incredible song, and not really out of place since she had been in the band. A bit more of a stretch may have been Leigh with Jason Martin of Starflyer 59, performing together as Starflyer 2000 for one brilliant song. Other great extracuricular songs with just Leigh include those from "Canticle of the Plains," and the incredible "Need to Be Next to You." Of course, this is just a wish list, the legal issues may have been an obstacle. The many great B-sides have been mentioned (and missed). Alternate recordings and demos would have been more interesting than album tracks. Newer fans may have appreciated songs from the rare and long out of print "the Original Demos" EP.

Collections like this always suffer from fans saying what REALLY should have been on the CD. Had the focus been more specific, like a true "greatest hits / best of" (gauged not just by radio, but concert favourites as well), or a true "rarities" collection, this CD would not be as big a let down. Which is not to say that it is a letdown, just that it could have been much more.

Oh, and for the other completists, there are at least two different versions of the cover art.

  2. It might be worth just buying their albums one by one as most of the songs are good and you wouldn't want to buy this and then double back later. Matt's guitarwork has the power to make me happy no matter what, it's articulated so well. The vocals are very smooth and pretty and fun. The guitar in "us" can stay in my head for days. There's so much more than kiss me, these people know what their doing, no "one hit wonder".

  3. I love this CD. Though I am not a regular buyer of pop groups I couldn't help but get this one.
I listen to it when I get a tad grumpy and it brings me back to a happy place. Her voice is so pretty it couldn't do anything else.
    Love all the covers.

  4. Leigh Nash has just an amazing voice. You'll enjoy this Best Of!

  5. This CD has a "catch": the surprisingly beautiful voice of Leigh Nash.

I am usually reluctant to hits covers, but in this case I would suggest to give a special try to SNTR performance of The La's "There She Goes", Crowded House's superhit "Don't Dream It's Over", and even Abba's "Dancing Queen". Special mention to that wonderful tune titled "Kiss Me". Leigh Nash's voice reinvents these songs and provides a new dimension to the meaning of "Cover version".

Believe me... this CD is a serious improvement for your music collection!

  1. This is a great 2 CD set if your a gospel music fan and a must have if you're and Elvis fan.

  2. I bought this 2 CD set for my beloved because he had lost his CD. I listen to these myself and these 50 Christian songs have become a tremendous blessing to me, in fact I intend to buy a copy for myself as well. There are songs on these 2 CDs that fit every situation that person goes through in life. One of the most amazing things about it is that as you listen to these songs it gives you a glimpse into the spiritual life of Elvis in spite of the tremendous temptations he went through in his life. His early introduction to Jesus in his childhood influenced him his entire life. He never lost his love for Jesus nor the Christian hymns that touched his spiritual life. It is obvious that these songs had meaning for him and the other performers and that they enjoyed the experience of recording them. Surely these songs he recorded were a blessing to him in his final days on this earth.

  3. This is a great selection and is very well done. I highly recommend it.
    JIm Mixon

  4. I bought this album for a friend for Christmas because I have one myself and I love it so much. It is my favorite Elvis Presley album. He had such a beautiful voice and sang all the hymns with his whole heart. How Great Thou Art is the most powerful hymn ever written. Anyone who loves Gospel music should purchase this album.

  5. The double plastic CD case was cracked when it arrived. I did not know it until I had already opened the package. It had a cardboard sleeve over the double case which prevented me from seeing the crack. Is there any recourse now?

5 comments about Songs Kids Love to Sing: Sunday School Songs.

  1. My son loves when we listen to this CD in the car. I has all the same songs I grew up singing in church.

  2. My kids have been introduced to many of these songs at their daycare. I remembered some of them vaguely from my own childhood, but it's been so long, I wasn't able to help them carry the tune. It's fun to have this music at home for our family, and it puts a smile on my 2 and 4 year olds' faces.

  3. My son and I have really enjoyed the songs on the CD... We just finished a kids version of the bible and the songs have been fun to listen to and remember the story from the bible :)

  4. We love this music at our house. I plan on using it in my 3 year olds class that I teach at pre school. It is a lot of fun and the kids sing along.

  5. We've been letting my [...]listen to mostly Sesame Street music. Compared to Sesame Street music, this CD was rather boring. All the tunes sounded similar after awhile since the children's voices kept the same range through the CD. It's not that bad but I'd give the other CDs in this collection a miss.

4 comments about Hillsong Ultimate Worship.

  1. A positively yummy offering from Hillsong. I was rather disappointed by their "Celebrating Christmas" Album, but "Ultimate Worship" is back up to Hillsong's usual standard of excellence. "Made Me Glad" is extremely powerful and beautiful, musically, lyrically, and spiritually. If you like these folks, add this one to your collection. Hallelujah for modern worship! :-)

  2. This is my first Hillsong CD. It will likely not be my last.

All of the songs are focused on worship. Some of them are very good. Some of my favorites include the following: Made Me Glad, The Potter's Hand, Everyday, Worthy Is The Lamb, and, of course, Shout To The Lord. The songs are all strong lyrically. They are definitely about praising God.

  3. A great CD...I recommend to hear this CD every day, every where, to Praise and Worship HIM, Keep your spirit on Fire and Make you're heart closer with Him. Hallelujah

  4. Very good album. Every song on the whole disc is great, but my favourites are My Redeemer Lives (track 2), Shout Your Name (track 6), Better Than Life (track 7), and Shout to the Lord (track 17). I fully reccomend this album for anyone who likes this kind of music.
