- When you order Gaither Music you can not get any better.... When I purchase any thing even connected by Gaither they are 100% great!!!
I have many of these dvd's and LOVE all of them.
- This is one of the best Gaither Vocal Band projects ever. I have enjoyed each successive GVB grouping, but I believe musically and spiritually this one ranks right up at the top of all the Gaither Homecoming music. I felt like I really had a chance to get to know the guys throughout the concert and the harmonies are incredible. Highly recommend!
- I believe this is the best DVD ever produced by GVB. The songs are terrific, and Marshall is at this best. Miss the jokes.
- I HAVE PURCHASED THIS FOR MYSELF AND PURCHASED AGAIN TO GIVE TO FRIENDS IT IS WONDERFUL I HAVE WATCHED IT SEVERAL TIMES
- This is so good, the singing and the rappore these guys have
You can see the christian love for each other

- I bought this for both my parents and my in-laws. I love it and so do all of them. Great gospel CD by the Gaithers. One of the better ones. I highly recommend it!
- This was the first Gaither Vocal Band I ever bought. I enjoy the 'Homecoming series' and had heard a couple of their tracks on some of these. When I finally purchased this I was in for a treat! The close harmonies and wonderful melodies added weight to the already 'Jesus Centred' lyrics.
A joy to hear in this day of 'me' centred Godly music...I'm completely sold on the 'Southern Gospel' music now. There's nothing to compare
- I have listened to the GVB for along time. I like all of their music, but when I want to listen to the best one, this is the one I choose. I like the 'old songs' plus they included the new. Fast and Slow on this CD. I listen to it often and have since it came out, will always be my favorite.
- Who in the world gives as much pleasure as the Gaither Vocal Band?
- What can I say-a wonderful CD of the Gaither Vocal Band and listened to very often

- Ever since I heard "You Don't Know" I've been A Kiki fan ever since. This whole album is full of talent, success, God's word and much more. The best songs from my point of view are "You Don't Know", "All I Am", "War", "Praise Offering", "So Long", "Church Nite" And The Finale "Let Go". These songs are full of uplifting beats and lyrics but not only these particular songs all of Kiki's music. Have you heard her Album "This Is Me" that's another album full of healing.
- I bought this in a 'box lot' and it was worth the price of ALL !I am white, male, love jazz and Gospel.....fell OUT of love with the new R&B of the past 15 yrs as the new artists are lazy and rely on looks over talent. This CD gets me cranked while I WORK. It has been my favorite for the past several months. My only concern is that it borderlines .This young lady is so talented that I fear she will cross over . I hope she is grounded in the Lord.We fans need to pray for her !KiKi-- you stay strong ! Don't you be tempted ! Get your treasures in Heaven. From the 'old man' .....Geno
- Words cannot express the way I feel about this artist and this CD. Kierra "Kiki" Sheard is true music minister. It is astounding that she is only a teenager, but this girl has more anointing in her little pinky than...well, you get what I'm saying. She truly is the future of gospel music. Hailing from the legendary Clark family, Kiki continues in their excellent tradition of lifting up the name of Jesus in song.
1. You Don't Know - This song has grown on me. It's not my favorite, but I love the way she incorporates the Clark Sisters' "You Brought the Sunshine" melody into the bridge.
2. Let Go - This song by far is my favorite. Kiki's voice is amazing! I can't believe how high she sings on it without sounding screechy. It's got a powerful message about persevering through hardship, and she throws in a riff a la Dorinda at the end.
3. Church Nite - Cute song, good lyrics, and stellar singing as always.
4. Closer - Great song about getting closer to God.
5. Praise Offering - Oh my goodness. If you do not feel the Holy Spirit when you hear this song, you are not saved! For real! This song gives me chills. It is so heartfelt, sincere, and beautiful. Just listen.
6. Sweetest Thing - My favorite line of the song is: "He's the man in my life, and He always makes things right." Sweet song about Jesus being the lover of you soul. It was also produced by her younger brother.
7. War - Another song produced by Kiki's younger brother. Powerful.
8. All I Am - Very smooth and soothing.
9. Done Did It-Get ready to have some more church. Girlfriend goes to town on this one.
10. So Long - Not my fave, but still good.
11. Snap - Tonex delivers on this thumping, hard-hitting track. It's very Tonex-if you're familiar with his work, then you know what I mean.
This is just such a wonderful CD. I encourage you to go out and buy it right now! You won't be sorry.
Peace
- Kierra is a really talented young woman of God and she's got a voice just like her mama's! Strong and beautiful. I would say Kierra is simply a more modern sounding Karen Clark-Sheard. And by that I mean that her music radiates God's word and at the same time appeals to young people because of her contemporary style. So it's not just the beat that will grab you. You will be blessed by the gospel's truth in the lyrics. And not only that, but young people, young church-goers, will be even able to *relate.* If you're thinking about buying it, let me sway you to go ahead and do it.
- I love this girl, the way she sings, her voice, the songs, the beats....the list goes on and on. Definitely a must have for those who like to bump some downright good gospel music. One of the best cd's of 2004 and even going into 2005. If you like her mom Karen then you'll like her too. I might even pick up the remix cd too just so I can continue to listen to her until the next one drops.

5 comments about Secondhand Dreaming.
- I bought this CD a while ago after hearing "Cross the Line" on the radio and have not regretted doing so. The genre is along the lines of Christian (strong emphasis on the Christian) pop/rock. The singer (Dustin Ruth) has a great voice and seems to have passion for what he does. The band definitely has talent, and the songs are quite catchy. I took half of a star away from my final score because some of the lyrics are a bit bland at times and could have been improved upon (though this is not too detrimental a problem). I took the other half of a star away because a little after half-way through the album, the songs start to slow down and seem kind of repetitive. Still, Ruth has created a debut album that is worth looking into, particularly if you are looking for Christian-based, uplifting pop/rock music.
- I've enjoyed "You Are" by Ruth since last summer and it's my favorite song on "Secondhand Dreaming" with the extremely spiritual lyrics: "You are the waves that I feel when I'm sinking / You are the storms that I feel when I'm dying / You are God / I know / You are God", however the more I listen to the whole album, the more I like it.
Dustin Ruth writes lyrics and sings with an emotional honesty that really draws you in. "One Foot In, One Foot Out", "Cross The Line", "Always Yours", and "Mr. Turner" are my other favorites on this very solid debut album. Fans of Switchfoot, The Fray, Leeland and also Third Eye Blind and The Wallflowers will enjoy Ruth which could be an acronym for "Return Us To Him."
- Ruth brings an honest and genuine sound to the table. They are a new and upcoming band that will most certainly succeed in the future. Dustin Ruth, the band's lead singer, came from an environment of adversity and expresses himself through their lyrics and that combined with his and the band's musical talent create a killer combination coming to your ears. Their songs while catchy, still maintain the quality of rock, but stay in your head all day. I look forward to future releases from Ruth and hope to see them live some day. These guys will soon be headliners!
- I love this CD! I come back to it several times a week. It always brightens my mood.
- It's hard to rate music- everyone has different things they like. As for me, I'm not a music critic, but I really enjoyed this CD. The music is well done, there's a variety of songs, the lyrics are earnest and sincere, and the guys in the band are nice.
I've listened to it about a dozen times in the past 3 days- "Well With Soul" sticks in my brain in a soothing, mantra-like way. I love "Cross The Line"- the music video on YouTube is great!
Thanks, Dustin, for sharing your gift with the world!

- I love this CD and have the male and female version for my children. I have been buying this CD for all my friends whenever they have children since I was first introduced to it. My kids still go to sleep to it now as a preschool and toddler.
- This is a collection of lovely songs and lullabies especially for little girls. I enjoy listening to the music as much as my granddaughter does! I thoroughly recommend it.
- This CD is so precious. The lullabyes are just for little girls, there's one for boys too! The words are easy to learn and tell of the joy and blessing that she is to you. Music so soothing for nap time or just playing with toys. I cannot recommend this highly enough.... it's a treasure for you and baby!
- I got this CD when my daughter was born. I used it for her many a night. the songs, as mentioned, are very soothing, and very spiritually nurturing of a little girl. My daughter, a young black girl trying to make it in today's world of all kinds of music, at age 12, mind you, in middle school, STILL looks for this cd. in fact, that is why I am ordering another copy. she lives with her dad and had a nightmare. she wanted to put this CD in but lost it during the move. Can you believe she made a specific request for that CD? Not any of the popular music, but the one that reminded her of her mother and her peace and spiritual center. Buy the album, start using it early. the messages are solid, enduring, soothing, nurturing, and will guide your daughter to be a woman of God.
- I bought this for my niece 8 years ago. The soothing sounds always got her to wind down and go to bed when it was sleep time. She could even be tricked into sleep by this album, literally! The sound is that surreal! But what I like most about it is the message it gives not only to the child but also to anyone else listening! The songs are so individual and personal that she spoke about many things from the album regularly. Discussion time about who she is and her importance as a little person were enhanced by this album. She felt really special by the things she heard from the songs. The prayers in song were so heartrendering to listen to and pray along with. I strongly believe that this album has helped to shape and mould her as a confident young person. The spiritual lessons are indeed timeless and unique.
When my second niece came along she was named Abigail from one of the songs in the album. Unfortunately the Tape broke soon after she was born from constant usage. My family has been trying to find another album ever since! I wish I had had the good sense to purchase 2! Now I am trying to get another as well as the Boy version as well, "Bless My little Boy" (you just never know!). If you've got one you would like to part with let me know! I will have it!

4 comments about Fields of Grace.
- As a follow up to their 1st album "One and Only"I can only say that I feel Big Daddy Weave left a lot of holes on "Fields of Grace". Gone are the soaring sax solos and even the mix has the sax in the background except for the final song. Maybe the mixers at the new label don't understand what a "lead solo" sax player is. Think of jazz and the groups of the 60's and 70's., soul and funk and the predominance of horns, not just as backups, but as much soloists as guitars and organs. Their 1st album nailed it. This album leaves them, without the sax-loaded songs and soloing, just another ordinary pop christian group.Even when riffing behind the vocals, the guitars and rhythm are louder than the horn.Bring back the horn-- you don't hear enough good sax players nowdays. They have one --- use him and mix him properly. Let your group stand out from the others with its unique horn-loaded sound.
- I thought to myself. I have a three hour drive ahead of me and I want something new to listen to. I saw this Album, "Fields of Grace ~ Big Daddy Weave." I'm thinking to myself, who are they. I'll pick it up and if I don't like it I will return it.
Well after the first few songs, I was hooked. Now, I'm trying to find more by them. Great Album
- Fields of Grace is by far the best! I have enjoyed listening to it over and over and just can't seem to get enough of it. You guys have grown in your sound and it is unbelievable. Every song on the CD is awesome and you can truly feel the spirit around you when listening to the CD. You guys are truly messengers from God. You have God given talents that no one else could ever top.
I enjoyed meeting you all at Crossroads a few weeks ago and Jeff ,it was great seeing you ,Cuz!!! Keep up the good work. You are all such a blessing!
- When I listened to this album for the first time, I was alarmed by the change in Big Daddy Weave's musical style. For example, on the opening track, "Set Me Free", there is no saxophone, and the electric guitar is more prominent. This is in sharp contrast with "In Christ," the opening track of One and Only. I also heard this change in "Fields of Grace", "Heart Cries Holy", "Everything You Are", and "Be Your Everything". It's not that I don't like rock, but I wondered what brought about the change.
However, the saxophone isn't completely gone. You can hear it in "Why", "New Every Morning", "Pharisee", and "You in Me". I especially like the use of the baritone saxophone in "New Every Morning" and the sax part in the middle of "You in Me". So while the style has changed somewhat, it's not entirely different. But the message of the songs is what's most important. For example, the title track talks about a personal relationship with God which is much more than just religion. "Everything You Are" is a great worship chorus, which I hope we'll eventually start singing in church, though I'm sure most people will want to sing it in a lower key. "Be Your Everything" expresses God's desire that we bring all of our concerns to Him. "Pharisee" talks about hypocrisy and the freedom that we find in Christ. And "Completely Free" is a simple, beautiful presentation of the Gospel. I highly recommend this album. The style has changed, but I still like it, and the message is great!

2 comments about 2nd Chapter Of Acts [20] (2 disc set).
- 2nd Chapter of Acts had an impact on my spiritual life. This project is a great collection of their ministry.
It starts of with three of their early tracks that did not make it to any of their albums, though I've heard the cover of "I'm So Happy" by their friend Jamie Owens (before she added a hyphen). It ends with three more unreleased tracks. It is a great representations, for the most part.
Why for the most part? Even with 35 selections, which would average to slightly less than 3 each from their 13 projects (3 live, 10 studio), three of those projects are unrepresented. The first live project ("To The Bride", with Barry McGuire) is unrepresented. Also, the two hymn projects (two of their final three) are missing.
I will compare this to "the 2nd Chapter of Acts' Greatest Hits", which had 12 songs. Only one of the dozen songs on "Greatest Hits" was absent from this one, the hard rockin' Matthew Ward sung "Yahweh". Also, "Greatest Hits" featured the live "To The Bride" version of Prince Song, as opposed to the studio version on "20".
Unlike "Greatest Hits", this project is released chronologically by album, though the order of the songs are not always the same as the album. For example, the first two of the four selections from "How The West Was One" were the first song and the closing medley on the original project.
There are of course omissions. I considered "Love Peace Joy" a classic, but it was neither in this collection or in "Greatest Hits". As previously stated, "Yahweh" is absent from this collection. Neither this nor "Greatest Hits" include the superb title track of "The Roar of Love", though both have what I consider the lyrically weaker "Are You Going To Narnia?"
Enough criticism. This project is a blessing. My wife had tears as we listened to the first disc. The second time I listened to that disc, I spent the time singing along with all the songs. It was more than nostalgia; it was a spiritual experience.
- Back in the day the 2nd Chapter of Acts was my favorite group. Though my spiritual beliefs have changed in these past twenty years, I was happy to find that a lot of this is still relevant to me. Their vocals can still send my heart soaring. There are a few pieces I would have added and that I consider missing. Maybe a reisssue with a third disc would be in order containing these and Matthew and Annie's earlier solo work.
