5 comments about Songs Kids Love to Sing: Sunday School Songs.
- My son loves when we listen to this CD in the car. I has all the same songs I grew up singing in church.
- My kids have been introduced to many of these songs at their daycare. I remembered some of them vaguely from my own childhood, but it's been so long, I wasn't able to help them carry the tune. It's fun to have this music at home for our family, and it puts a smile on my 2 and 4 year olds' faces.
- My son and I have really enjoyed the songs on the CD... We just finished a kids version of the bible and the songs have been fun to listen to and remember the story from the bible :)
- We love this music at our house. I plan on using it in my 3 year olds class that I teach at pre school. It is a lot of fun and the kids sing along.
- We've been letting my [...]listen to mostly Sesame Street music. Compared to Sesame Street music, this CD was rather boring. All the tunes sounded similar after awhile since the children's voices kept the same range through the CD. It's not that bad but I'd give the other CDs in this collection a miss.

- My parents would play this CD for me when it was late at night and they wanted me to sleep. Now more than 14 years later I still remember the songs from this CD. It is perfect for young children to fall asleep too. Refreshing, spiritual, and peaceful I highly recommend it for any Christian parent.
- The music is beautiful, and so are the lyrics. Pure Michael Card. My kids all listened to this when they were growing up. It is my favorite baby shower gift for new moms. Lullaby music couldn't get any better than this!
- We owned this as a cassette when my now 23 year old daughter was still in elementary school. I shared the news of my purchase with her. She could still sing the title track from memory. "Sleep Sound in Jesus" sang her to sleep for many years and brought with it much comfort.
- All songs in this CD are great. I have given it to several of our friends and they all like it. Great buy...
- I had a hard time listening to this CD that we received as a baby gift because the woman's voice sounds like she's singing in too high of a note. I'm very particular about what our children listen to and really can't recommend this music. The songs themselves are absolutely beautiful, but I wish the singer would have sung in a lower tone.

- I bought this CD soley for Mr. Ortega's outstanding arrangement of "Give Me Jesus". As a church choir member in a progressive Catholic Church that includes a variety of liturgical music, we use a more traditional arrangement of "Give Me Jesus". After hearing Mr. Ortega on a Billy Graham special, I wanted my choir director to hear this more contemplative version of the old spiritual. "Give Me Jesus" is not the only treasure on this CD, but some of the music may not be to the listener's taste. At times I thought I was listening to a country western or bluegrass album. Mr. Ortega delivers "Glory to the Lamb" with appropriate enthusiasm and his own composition, "I Will Praise Him, Still" is excellent. I would certainly purchase other CD's of Mr. Ortega's to experience the different 'styles' he delivers.
- Just want to say that this CD is exactly what i had hoped for. It helps me to focus on God and worship him,
- I have heard this artist at our church and that led me to this purchase. Totally Wonderful. 'Give Me Jesus' is a song I listen to everyday. Amen, brothers and sisters, Amen.
- I had the privilege to see this artist at Anne Graham Lotz' Just Give Me Jesus revival in New Orleans, where he led our worship...she said when she first heard his singing, she had to go prostrate before the Lord. I understand why! This CD of beautiful worship music is very special and wonderful..."Give Me Jesus" and "Jesus, King of Angels" bring tears to me everytime I listen...
- I wish there were 2 ratings: 1 for artists' performance and the other the sonic quality of the CD recording. In the case of this CD by Fernando Ortega, I would rate the former at 5 stars while the sound quality of the recording is rated at 1 star (sounded too artificial and bad studio mixing) which marred my enjoyment of this otherwise great performance.

- I've loved Krystal's music since I first heard it. When I found out she was going for a different style this time around, I was a little worried her voice would just become the disposable, recycled stuff that is so often passed off as entertainment. I was happily surprised. Think 80's dance music with a modern twist. Krystal's voice has improved and she shows more range this time around. The songs themselves are irresistibly catchy and fun, while still having a deeper underlying message. If you're a Krystal Meyers fan, you'll love this. If you aren't a fan, you'll soon become one.
MUST HAVE songs: "Make Some Noise", "My Freedom", "Shine", and "Feels So Right".

5 comments about Salvation in Lights.
- Mike's lyrics are wrenched from his life's journey through good times and bad. His decision to wear his heart on his sleeve allows all of us to experience the hope that comes from living the blues. A little Boz Scaggs, a little Bob Dylan, his voice, music and message create a foot stompin hand clappin lift for the spirit. Religious music is personal and in your face preaching is often a huge turn-off. This music is different. Try to keep from singing along with Can't no grave hold My body down. His acoustic guitar is the perfect accompaniment for music that entertains and inspires.
- I had never heard of Mike Farris before I saw him on the Gospel Music Channel one night. His voice intrigued me so I decided to order his CD. The songs on the CD sound like a mixture of many different styles of music: everything from Negro spirituals to Blues, Soul, and Funk, with a heavy dose of New Orleans flavor. Some folks will probably not care for it. I can say that is like nothing I have ever heard before. I can say that it will affect you in some way. At times you will want to raise your hands, look toward heaven and praise God. At other times you will want to sit, close your eyes, and connect with the song on a deep spiritual level. At other times you'll tap your toes and maybe even want to get up and dance. The CD is outside what I normally listen too, but I can't seem to get enough of it.
- This is, simply put, a great CD. Mike Farris' powerful voice and his backing vocalists blend well with the soulful sound of his band. While this is lyrically a religious-based album, and I am not in the least bit religious, I enjoy the music for its qualities of being both refreshingly entertaining and uplifting. There is not a 'throw away' song on the album. It is solid from beginning to end. I just saw the band live and they are incredible live. They are able to sing full-out and create the energy displayed on the album. They sang and played full throttle. Their love of the music came across clearly and you could tell that they had as good of a time on stage as the audience did, which danced and sang as Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Review played.
- Let's rewind about 12 years to 1996 and Cleveland, Ohio. I was in a smoke filled bar with some friends having one to many beers waiting for The Why Store to come on stage as the headlining act. I actually don't remember much of the Why Store show, but what I did remember was a band called Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies (SCW) with Mike Farris as the lead man up-front. As soon as Mike started singing, I couldn't believe what I was hearing! The power and soul in his vocals was powerful, and inspirational at the same time, like being at a big tent revival, but without the evangelizing. There were times of full out eruption to quiet melodic sounds coming from the stack amps. Absolutely incredible!! I was hooked from then on. Fast forward 12 years to 2008. I long gave up the bars and beers am was sitting at home watching the Gospel Music Channel (GMC) and I hear this same distinct voice coming from the TV as I did so many times before but couldn't believe it was on GMC???. Was this the Mike Farris I knew from SCW! I was right, it was!! Hallelujah!! I found out (OK I am a bit behind here) Mike is still singing and has elevated it to another level indeed!! Singing for our Savior! This CD "Salvation in Lights" is quite the testimony for Mike. It really showcases his voice and talent, all of which he gives thanks to the Lord God almighty. A must have CD if you want to hear some Louisiana style grass roots soul filled gospel music! I love this CD and can't wait to see Mike on tour again. This time I will be drunk on the Holy Spirit!!
- I was not familiar with his previous work as the frontman of the Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies but after hearing of his Salvation story and of his musical experience I thought He would be someone to check out. I am so glad I did this is such a great album with very powerful and soulful vocals. It has its own unique sound that doesnt really sound like anyone else out there today. It is great for all ages with a souful, gospel, rock, R&b, and blues sound. I love his cover of Sam Cooke's "Change is Gonna Come" and his version of the hymn "Precious Lord Take My Hand." Again a great album that reaches both the young and the old.

5 comments about WOW Hits 2007.
- This was my first WOW purchase. When I bought this over a year ago, I had just recently started listening to Christian radio (or radio period for that matter) again. I found that I liked several of the songs that were played, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy whole CDs of artists that I wasn't sure I was going to like. I like this song, but maybe I wouldn't like a lot of the other songs on their CD? So, when I saw WOW 2007 and that it had song after song after song that I wanted, I decided to buy it. This set not only gave me songs that I knew I wanted, it also introduced me to other artists and songs that did not get airtime in my city. There are only 2 songs that I don't like (both on the Blue Disc), but one of them is very popular and I knew it was there, but bought the compilation anyway because it has so many good songs on it.
At least one reviewer that I read said that the Pink Disc sounded like it was just made to be commercial, but didn't have as much depth as the Blue Disc, which has more "mainstream" music. I typically listen to classical music, so "alternative" is a bit of a stretch for me, but songs on the Pink Disc remind me that my old self is dead and that I'm a new creature in Christ("Dead Man" by Jars of Clay and "Who I am Hates Who I've Been" by Relient K), as well as encourage me to live zealously for God ("Burn for You" by TobyMac) and follow his leading ("Let Go" by Barlow Girl). They just do it in a different way than the songs on the Blue Disc.
I highly recommend this music compilation to music lovers of various tastes, especially those who are new to Contemporary Christian Music.
- Thanks for getting the CDs here so quickly. You are a great seller! The CD is pretty terrific too. Great price.
- I bought this for a friend in Nashville so haven't seen it myself as I am in the UK. She does say that its great and she is very pleased with it.
- The CD is well packed and of good quality. Most of the songs have the same style of music and some have variety. In short it is good product and worth for money. But I've never got the companion DVD as specified in the deacsription of the product. If the DVD is not available, please remove it from the description.
- This is one of the best of the WOW series of albums. Very uplifting and filled with the message of Jesus Christ.

- This is a very uplifting CD with the best rendition of You Life Me Up of any I've ever heard!
- I've enjoyed listening to this CD. The harmonies of these singers are wonderful. Very enjoyable to listen to.
- I think this is one of the best CDs around and the best CD that Selah has put out. It it a truly anointed CD. It is very inspirational and moving. If you need something truly anointed, this is the CD to get. There are few other comparisons out there in the market.
- Another one of my favorites from Selah. With this CD you can truly worship in spirit and truth while making a joyful noise onto the Lord. Enjoy!
- I truly love this album. It is a blessing to hear old songs performed in new ways and the original songs sound great too. The ministry Selah has had is anointed.

- I actually never watched Idol but I had heard of Mandisa. I went to an Extrodinary Woman conference and then to a Beth Moore DeeperStill conference (Christian Womens Conference) and fell in LOVE with her music. You can really feel her love for God in her music and you can see she was given the gift of music from God. This album is very uplifting and powerful. Voice of a Savior is my favorite!!!
- This CD is a blessing. I've already bought a few to share with others as a ministry tool. I love every track. There is no way I can choose a favorite. Of all the CDs I own, this is by far the best. When you feel like praising the Lord, like dancing, like crying... when you are in need of encouragement... there's a track for you. It's complete. Her voice will amaze you and the words will refresh you. A must have!
- "True Beauty" is truly one of the best albums I've bought all year. The album starts with single "Only The World" and is followed by "True Beauty" the title track. You basically have a taste of every genre on her album. Upbeat songs steal the show "Oh My Lord", (Never Gonna) "Steal My Joy", "Love Somebody" (which features Tobymac), and "Shackles" (Praise You) formerly done by Mary Mary. The softer songs make you enjoy her voice all the much more with song including, "God Speaking", "Voice Of A Savior", "Unrestrained", and "He Will Come." This album is definately Idol worthy! If you still aren't sure? And want to hear her sing first! Then be my guest! www.myspace.com/mandisa GO-GO MANDISA! Oh I forgot...She isn't on Idol anymore? haha. Cheers!
- I also bought this C.D. with much higher expectations. I enjoy all Christian and gospel music but this C.D. is mediocre. It's not at all soulful or intensely moving.
- My husband purchased a copy of Mandisa's "True Beauty" gospel cd last year. We fell in love with it after listening to the VERY FIRST SONG! Each subsequent rendition is filled with power, melody and inspired lyrics. "American Idol" introduced this godly young woman to the world, but our Father gave her a voice and a song. By the way, the cd I purchased via Amazon.com was for my mom, now living in North Carolina. She, too, loves Mandisa, and listens to her while getting her workout on. It's truly a thing of beauty....

5 comments about Tell Me What You Know.
- Sara Groves knows how to get to the heart of where we are at. Her words are inspirational and remind us that we all struggle in every aspect of our daily lives. She gives me hope!
- I KNOW your music is fantastic. YOur voice and lyrics are honest and to the heart of us whom struggle with troubles everyday. Keep it up!!!
- I'll tell you what I know. Being a fan of Sara Groves and her Christian music is maddening. She has written some of the best, catchiest Christian hit songs of this decade, and a couple of all-time Contemporary Christian Classic Hits (in my opinion), yet she seems intent on trying to be overtly secular and non-religious in most of her songs.
TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW has one (deserves to be) MEGA-HIT of a song, "When the Saints," which has catchy, melodic song hooks, a contemporary sound, and lyrics overflowing with Christian references. The rest of the album does not measure up and is nowhere near as good or as intensely Christian in lyrical content. Most of the Christian references appear in the CD booklet and liner notes, if they appear at all. In essence, buying this CD was worth it, but ONLY because of the single song "When the Saints."
Anymore, Sara spends more time singing about her family, friends, and acquaintances, than about God and Bible references. It is almost like she is a Christian who thinks putting out secular music is a Christian act merely because the artist is a Christian in real life, it just doesn't show up in the songs so much. So what?
Sara first got famous with her incredible tune, "The Word," from her CONVERSATIONS album. That album also had many other tunes about the Christian life, and many, many Bible references in the other songs, as well. Sadly, that was her peak, as far as the Christian aspect goes. She has spent the rest of her career, so far, seemingly trying to be successful with less and less Christian lyrical content in her songs. Conversations
Her next album, ALL RIGHT HERE, also had a big Christian radio hit, "First Song that I Sing," about waking up and praising God, first thing every morning, and it also had a few other good, solid Christian tunes, but the ratio of Christian:Secular lyrical content was more secular than on CONVERSATIONS. All Right Here
The rest of her albums, so far, are lucky to have even a single, good, solid Christian hit song. A couple don't even have a hit song, and most of the lyrical content is vague about Christian lyrical content, and heavy on vagueness, altogether. This song could be about God, or whatever you want it to be about, etc.
On her album THE OTHER SIDE OF SOMETHING, she has a song titled "Esther," but it is not about the Bible's book of Esther, it is about someone she knows personally named Esther. Pretty clever? No. Pretty aggravating! The Other Side of Something
It is as if she really wants to crossover into secular music, and, like many a secular artist, is content to thank God in the liner notes, while offering nothing offensive to the sensibilities of non-believers who need to be tricked into listening to a Christian "hit" song. I can only imagine.
I think it was the comedian Janeane Garofalo who had an old joke about Amy Grant, an established Christian singer who had a 1990's secular hit, "Baby, Baby," and was criticized by Christian listeners for ditching her Christian past for secular success. When she crossed over, she forgot to bring the cross over.
Sara needs to put the Christian aspect back into the lyrics, not just the liner notes, forget about being able to not offend non-believers with overtly Christian lyrics, and do what she does best and what made her famous, writing big, beautiful Christian songs. Fill up the entire album with them. Stop being discreet about Christianity. One great Christian song among an album full of secular tunes does not make a good Christian album. Don't be ashamed of the Gospel.
Anymore, I just buy the latest Sara Groves album IF there is a Christian hit song, then I add it to my own compilation CD of her collected other, decent, spectacular Christian tunes and hits, while shelving the retail, mostly secular sounding CD. She's good for a compilation of great songs culled from many different albums, but she could be SO much better, so much more in the Christian music world.
Many of her song lyrics speak of a crisis of faith, I think she is forgetting her first love while she could be writing better Christian lyrics and hits than nearly anybody else out there, these days.
The more worldly Sara Groves' lyrics become, the less interesting they are for Christian music listeners. She has a great gift for Christian lyrics and songs, but she rarely uses it, anymore.
- Sara Groves has a beautiful voice! And the lyrics are quite amazing! She has a good message - and it is: GOD! This is one of my favorite Christian albums. It's not the best album of all time - but it still much better than "Add to the Beauty". At first I didn't like it so much - only the songs "Love Is Still a Worthy Cause" and "In the Girl There's a Room" seemed to be great. Then, after listening to it 10 times I found almost every song. This is beautiful but quite peaceful music. There's some rock influences - and also country and folk but still, I would say this is a pop album. Sara's voice is brilliant - and the songs like "Honesty" and "It Might Be Hope" are one of the reasons why to keep this album in your collection. She has a sensitive voice.
Stars: Love Is Still a Worthy Cause, In the Girl There's a Room, It Might Be Hope
- This is a life changing c.d. by Sara Groves. Sara goes into uncharted territory, with her lyrics about injustice, pain, strength and conviction. This c.d. is a wake up call to evangelical Christians to truly love as Jesus did---to act on behalf of the helpless and those without a voice. It was a wake up call for me. I have given this c.d. to several friends who have been deeply moved by it.

- The music on this CD got my parents singing praise and worship again. Anything that can do that-and that sounds this brilliant-is worth it.
- I recently had a chance to hear Robin in person at my church. He is very gifted at bringing God up close and personal for worship.
- Wonderful collection of worship music, some meditative, some upbeat, all very meaningful and performed as well as anyone cold perform them. This is a great worship experience. We use this music often at our church. All for Jesus!
- This compilation of music has been a blessing to me and to those around me. I would recommend this CD to anyone who has a desire to learn more about how He has reached out to other nations. This is truely a blessed CD. Robin Mark is truely gifted by God. I pray that this CD would truely open your heart to God and that you would hear the words spoken in the songs. God bless to you all.
- This is one of the BEST CD's I've heard in thirty years.
It is so inspiring, and the music and Robin Mark's lyrics are
incredible!
I highly recommend this to all ages. You'll put it on your cd player and never take it off.
