- This is a GREAT set of Raffi music - my son and I love listening to all three CDs - I am so happy to have this set. Raffi has a classic voice - pleasant and soothing. My fav song is Sodeo on the second cd, but all are great. Good mixture of classic songs, original songs, upbeat music, lullabies, instruments - great for singing and dancing!
- My son and I love it! I wish I knew French for the song that is sung in English and French.
- Raffi is great music for the entire family. All the children love it from the babies to the "big" kids. We don't mind it either. Raffi's music has really stood the test of time. I highly recommend these cds and all others by Raffi!
- wonderful cd. I wish I got it when she a bit younger. (she's 4 now)
- I bought the CD set back when I taught pre-K. My students absolutely loved to sing along as they played or completed centers. When I took a second grade position I left it for the teacher moving into my classroom. Her students continue to enjoy it every year. No preschool/pre-K classroom is complete without it.

5 comments about Classic Disney: 60 Years of Musical Magic.
- I was 67 years old , when I began listening to these wonderful Disney songs. And when the last song ended, it seemed that I lost 50 years. I believe that this wonderful music brings back old wonderful memories that is like true magic. Alas my hair has now turned black , and all my wrinkles are now gone away. Also just chased my wife around Southern California. She told me to stop listening because she said she can't keep with me anymore. I owe it all to these 5 magical albums.
- There really isn't anything else that can be said for this awful box set full of meaningless gobbledock and inane twee that's arranged from sounds. Disney music is the worst thing that music has ever experienced. kidz bop may be something that comically states the downfall of music even worse. soulja boy is there for me when I feel crappy, because I realise that people just suck worse at life than I do. I take sadist laughs at people who listen to Nickelback. All of those others are so crappy you can't just help and laugh at them.
But not for Disney. There's nothing funny about this. It's grave. Grave my friend. It's not like disney ever had the potential to be nothing more than a horrible company the day that idiot walt disney founded his _______ dream, but the biggest failure was even trying to touch music. Maybe if he would have realized that his taste in picking composers is lame. How does disney keep messing up music anyway?
Anyway, disney music fails for a lot of reasons. Let's debunk it with the music first. The generic orchestra, irritating, timid music, it's so twee it makes me barf. It's very boring, actually. It's mearly short comed as it's just there because it has to be. Yeah, lot's of the music I listen to has the same kind of thing. But the reason why it's good is because of the vocals, the lyrics.
Ah, the lyrics. Awful. Nonsensical, twee, twee, and twee. This stuff is so damn forced and twee that it makes anybody cringe. It makes sense, because it's supposed to. There's no confrontation, there's no realism. A whole new World, sorry, but love ain't just that. It's a beautiful, complex thing, not a twee thing. I hate the way, and it just gets on my nerves.
Of course, this is disney, and it's millions of browbeaten followers will defend such garbage that anybody that's not spoiled sees right through. Oh well. You poons.

- This collection of Disney music is perfect for any Disney fan. My family loves Disney, and this couldn't have been better to get for our drives to our favorite home away from home. Our daughter listens to it in her room all of the time. If you love Disney, you will love this collection.
- I bought this for my daughter and I to sing along with in the car. It has all of our favorites and then some. If you can find a copy of the set you won't be disappointed! I'm here now looking for a replacement since mine have long since been scratched to death after many many hours of heavy rotation.
- This collection has almost every song from every Disney distributed moved up to 1995. Each cd contains around 25 songs. I purchased this collection as a gift for a niece of mine and she loves it (I must admit I got a big kick out of it too). If you're concerned about young children watching too much tv/dvds yet want them to enjoy music this is a definitely a product worth looking at.

5 comments about 100 Singalong Songs for Kids.
- I love this cd and my baby sister loves the baby one. I will give it five stars.
- The Singalong Songs for Kids CD's are ideal for infants and toddlers. I like to put the CD's in my car, while my 2 year old listens. It calms him down, and improves his vocabulary. I bought the videos for my older son 6 years ago. The songs and video are exactly the same.
- I read the reviews before purchasing this compilation and I agree that these are great songs (there are 100 of them after all) but after a while, they all seem to sound the same. They are sung by a children's choir and while these children sound phenomenal, all the songs they sing sound alike. I like my children's songs to have wacky words with special emphasis on different sounds. With a choir, they can't do that. They are melodic but monotone. Young children don't sound like that and my daughter would rather hear some fun songs (or at least I would.) I'd recommend this for pretty music, but not for FUN music.
- It's perfect music for kids. We take it in the car on trips or play it at home. I enjoy it also.
- My two year old cried one day when I tried to turn it off. the music is well done and there are actual kids singing, which i like. The only problem is that I get a little sick of it after a while. These songs are the classics that have been around forever. I like that for my son, but I have heard them too many times. I have to hide his CD if I want to listen to my own music and avoid a hassle. But hey, that means the CD is good, right? Since when have parents and children ever agreed on music?

- I am very happy with this set, but it seems that as the CDs get higher in number (four and five) fewer of the songs are from the more popular Disney movies. If that doesn't bother you, then you will be happy with this set. If you want to recognize every song on every CD, go out and watch every Disney movie ever made, and some of the musicals first. Then buy the set. I highly recommend this for any Disney fan.
- My wife and I had disc two of this set for quite some time, and had looked once in a while to try and find the rest of the set - with no luck... until now. This is a great set of music for any Disney fan, especially those of us who are more "classic" Disney fans. I myself am a huge Walt Disney fan and Disney theme parks fan, and I have really enjoyed this collection. There are tastes of songs from the parks, from TV shows and of course from some of the best movies the Walt Disney Studios have put out - the classics.
This makes a great addition to any Disney fan's collection, let alone any Disney music collection.
- I am a father of two: a 5 year old and a 3 year old. We live in Southern CA, and our kids have been fortunate enough to grow up with Disney movies and annual passes to the park.
Those memories are burnt into their being...
I spend a lot of time editing family videos, making DVDs of our family history. This CD set has a become my most used source for family friendly music for our home movies. This is a must have for anyone making home movies of their kids.
I also have created some wonderful customized CDs for my kids, with a "Princess" collection for my daughter, and a "boy" version for my son. With a nice printed CD label featuring themselves, it looks like a professional CD, and it has many of my kid's favorite songs on it.
I only wish it had even more content...but for what it does have, it is great for the price.
- This is a perfect set of Disney songs - all the classic sing-alongs. :) I couldn't believe it was so cheap, since it's basically a set of ALL the songs you'd ever want! AMAZING.

5 comments about Raffi's Box of Sunshine.
- My son has loved these CD's for car trips since he was two. Now he's 4-1/2 and still loves them. They are enjoyable listening for parents too.
- Raffi is a wonderful children's musician! His music offers a variety of tempo and pitches and his songs are fun and easy to sing along with, too. Raffi puts his heart into his music, providing timeless tunes as well as creative, positive songs about animals, children and people of all cultures around the world.
- My daughter loves these CDs! We sing along and dance to some of the songs every day!
- Yes, I agree, Singable Songs is a great album. And, at first, this album didn't grab me. But one day we took it in the car on one of our long drives and BAM, it hit us, it's a great collection! I love every CD in this collection, all the songs stay with me (in a wonderful way) and my daughter loves them just as much as the Singable album. This would make a great shower gift since it's nicely priced and you get three albums! Rock on Raffi!
- Raffi's Box of Sunshine is an essential part of any true music enthusiasts collection. Raffi is truely one of the greatest American singer/songwriters of all-time, nearly unparalleled in his craft. His immense influence on music and pop culture still sends shivers up my spine. Although his music on a basic level his music is intended for children, it can also be appreciated by adults. For example, "I'm In The Mood" is a kid's song on the surface, however it is also intended to have a much more mature sexual subtext. Other songs of his, such as "Something In My Shoe," deal with issues still relevent in America today. "Something In My Shoe" is a brilliantly crafted lyrical masterpiece about not being able to get something out of your shoe. Finally, "Riding In An Airplane" is quite possibly the greatest song of our generation. This prophetic anthem portrays post-9/11 fears of flying, while it was also written as a self-exploration of Raffi getting over a drug addiction. I can not reccomend this box set enough. It is well worth whatever you pay for it.

-
I was looking for a set of songs for Girl Scout camp. This set has a good combination of old and new. Some were familiar, some went back to my childhood, some were new. Good fun for children.
- The Camp Songs is just what KIDS like they're nice, gross, silly and more. My kids (8 & 5) love it because the words/songs are easy to remember and they get to sing-a-long. There are a few songs that I though is not appropriate for kids but they do not seem to even notice those. Like "Bring Back My Neighbors To Me" - a song about dead neighbors.
Even with the mentioned song I will still purchase the CD. The kids love it!

5 comments about Songs from the Street: 35 Years of Music.
- This set of 3 CD's had a great mix of classic and contempary Sesame Street songs.
- About half the songs are the original television versions. But the liner notes for the other half list them as being "from" other COMPILATIONS released in the 1990s.
Nowhere is it stated whether those compilations used the original versions or re-recordings, so who knows? Even the TITLE theme is not the original (It might be the version they use nowadays, but it's not the version most people know from the 70s).
Sesame should have just used the original TV versions of all tracks as that's what collectors of vintage material would be looking for (and paying quite a lot for).
They also should have focused more on the early years when the show was the most innovative. And as music was a major element, I'm sure there's a lot more material that could have been used, particularly those odd demonstrational songs about the number 5 or the letter R. Instead they've focused on the celebrity guests, most of whom don't really add much value.
I personally hoped there'd be that funky counting to ten song that featured on almost every episode (not the Pinball one, which I love too).
Disappointing, but until a better option comes along, this will have to do.
- I bought this when my daughter was born, and two years later she still asks for them to be played. The set contains three CDs, on which are collected famous songs, and ditties from the Sesame Street show...favorites like C is for Cookie, Healthy, Happy Monsters performed by famous groups like REM and more. The songs are not just kid friendly, adults will enjoy the refreshing take on some old favorites too:)
- I have always loved the music from Sesame Street, and as I have gotten older I have found that the next generation loves it just as much as I have, whether it be the older or newer songs. Since I bought this album, I have had it regularly playing at my sons' request. Funnily enough, anyone who walks in to our house smiles when they hear the music, ask what the album is, then sit back and enjoy it all - regardless of whether they have ever watched Sesame Street or not. Furry and real voices have universal appeal whatever the age of the listener! A beautiful album.
- If you grew up on Sesame Street - or just want some music for kids that isn't annoying - this is the box set for you! The songs are clever, amusing, lively, and educational. We bought it for ourselves as a trip down memory lane before our son was born - and since then it has been our favorite baby shower or first birthday gift! Everyone who has it loves it!

1 comments about Toddler Dance & Play.
- I had almost given up on buying a music CD for my 18-month-old. I had previously bought one (Tunes for Toddlers) that was basically a bunch of old British people singing. Since we're not British, it got annoying and I felt my toddler might not recognize some of the words due to the slight pronunciation differences.
I lucked out when I picked this up at Wal-Mart for ten bucks. This is a fabulous CD for toddlers or children up to 10 years of age. It has a large variety of songs on it...I believe 75 songs total. They are all fun songs and most of them have children singing them. Songs like Apples and Bananas; Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes; Five Little Monkeys, and so much more!
The songs are not annoying aside from maybe 3 or 4 out of the whole lot...one in particular is Tah Rah Rah Boom Dee Aye--I believe that is how it is spelled. And the Woodchuck song. They are both extremely repetitive and only say one thing the entire song, but other than that the songs are fabulous and they get my little boy dancing every time.
I recommend this CD to any parent looking for musical entertainment for their child.

5 comments about Classical Kids: Collection.
- I enjoyed reading the reviews of parents whose kids have recently discovered "Classical Kids." I'm about to order the boxed set for my kids, ages 21, 19 and 16 because the nineteen-year-old, who has a college radio show and loves a wide variety of music, remembers this series (then only on cassette) with great affection and wants to hear them again. Those of you wondering whether it's worth it or not to try to introduce kids to classical music this way, be assured it works. We've turned one of Mr. Bach's lines into a family "saying:" "the more you study, the more you know; the more you know, the more you appreciate; the more you appreciate, the more you love." A great series!
- Many years ago I purchased my first CD in this series, "Beethoven Lives Upstairs." My children and I were delighted with it. I then discovered that there were more and searched them all out, one by one. My children, now 11, 9 & 5, have listened to these stories as they fall asleep for years. They each have a favorite composer and have gone on to learn more about them. These stories are a great introduction to some of our greatest composers. Not to mention a good intro to history, too!
Imagine my delight that they are now in one boxed set! Now when asked, I suggest this set. What a great way to get it ALL! I truly believe that by surrounding our children with a variety of good music (including POP music) and information they will grow up with a greater appreciation for music and the arts.
- I love the idea, but I don't want to expose my children to the stories in these cd's. They contain children talking back to their parents, disrespectful language, sorcery, etc. If you don't like Harry Potter, you won't like these CD's.
- My 6 year old son loves music...and stories! Here is the prefect combo. Lovely music of the composer accomapnies a fictional story which weaves the composer's life, the culture of his homeland as well as history...in an intriguing and fun way! Now, my son can pick out pieces he hears on the classical radio station. He really enjoys the stories and can tell people @ carnival in Venice, Italy and tidbits @ Beetoven and the Magic Flute by Mozart! A must for any child with any of these interests! We also have enjoyed the CD's and have learned lots!
I only can wonder...what took whomever so long to broaden our horizons in such a way! BRAVO!
- We've had the CDs in this boxed set for over a year now. The Classical Kids series has been wonderful. We have two boys (now 6 and 8) and this has been a great introduction to classical music. At first, the kids loved the stories which provide a sense of history and place and, ultimately, keep the kids interested in the entire CD. As they listened (time and time again), they started to pay more attention to the musical portions. Recently, we've been able to tell that they've picked up a sense of the music as we've listed to classical music on the car radio. Time and again, they perk up when listening to a piece of music and surprise us by saying "That's Beethoven". Sure enough - they've picked up something about the style of music that's characteristic of Beethoven. Sometimes it's the snippet of music from the CD and other times it's just the rhythms that are characteristic of that piece. As a family, we all recommend this.

2 comments about 102 Bible Songs.
- I bought this set of songs for my 1-year-old grandson (who is now almost 3) and he has loved them, played them, learned them, and sung them ever since. He now has a 1-year-old baby sister who is beginning to love them just as much! Truth be told, when I first heard them, I immediately ordered another set just for myself -- and although I am 54 years old I play them constantly. The music is wonderful, the vocals not only talented but just soothing and joyous to listen to. I also love the way the CDs are arranged almost as if they had ages in mind: i.e., Vol. 1 contains songs very small children would really like, Vol. 2 would highly appeal to a slightly older group, and Vol. 3 has some beautiful hymns that will be loved not only by the young ones but by any adult within earshot as well. I can't say enough about this CD set -- it is just absolutely wonderful, and I have listened to it myself many countless times. I find it inspiring, heart-warming, and just a pure blessing. I can't recommend it highly enough! From now on, whenever I look for children's music, Christian or otherwise, the FIRST place I check is with Twin Sisters. They are, without a doubt, outstanding!
- I got this for my daughter who is 2 years old...She LOVES the songs. I will play them throughout the day and she'll sing and dance to them. Then, out of the blue, when they aren't playing she'll start singing them. We've had them for almost a year now. I like the variety of songs and there are soooo many of them! Would definitely recommend.
