5 comments about The Best of Animé.
- I got this for the "Speed Racer" theme song, and loved the whole disc. I haven't seen any of the other shows represented, but nobody does hardcore pop like the Japanese.
- iwatch the shows on there you will love this music.
i know the moshions alot of pepole like this c.d and lots of anime stars like speedracers the janitor and more. i hope to growup and make a anime cartoon.
- GIGANTOR IS THE BEST SONG EVER. To the reviewer who said it sounded like something out of a 50's cartoon, well, you sound like something out of a stupid cartoon. I don't like you. I'm listening to this CD right now and Gigantor is my jamz, homie.
No, seriously, Gigantor is awesome. If you think I am kidding, I am not. This is not a joke. One listen to the sample and you'll realize how awesome it is and how stupid you were before for not liking it. Also, see Speed Racer Theme for more awesome. Now I have to go play Pokemans. I wanna be the very best! That no one ever was! To catch them is my real test! To train them is my cause! I will travel across the land! Searching far and wide! Each pokemon to understand! The power that's inside! Pokemon, gotta catch'em all! It's you and me! I know it's my destiny! Pokemon, oh, you're my best friend! In a world we must defend! Pokemon, oh, a heart so true! Our courage will pull us through! You teach me and I'll teach you! Pokémon! Gotta catch'em all! Gotta catch'em all! Pokémon!
- Anime music. There has always been a charm to this music from Japan with words the non-speaker can't understand. Generally fast and upbeat, it is practically what would have happened to music if the 1980s never ended. Let's get one thing straight here - it would be outright impossible to compile a collection of anime music that everyone is going to enjoy. The sheer amount of available tracks is huge compared to how many you can cram onto one CD.
That said, this CD does a fairly good job of covering some of the older anime series. They run the gamut from fast and exciting (Active Heart) to calm and reflective (Voices). The reason why I gave it four stars was mainly because the dubbed songs sound very out-of-place and disrupt the flow of things. There's a charm to hearing words you can't understand. The Speed Racer theme and the Gigantor theme, dubbed in English, are just kitsch tracks I skip over. The CD would have been better served by either keeping the original versions of these tracks, or using something more in-line with the rest of the music (like music from Bubblegum Crisis, a suspicious omission). I liked this CD overall though. We all know that anime music CDs out of Japan are prohibitively expensive for most of us, so Rhino's attempt to sell a cheaper "greatest hits" CD is appreciated. Especially in this time when music is becoming so homogenized, it's nice to know that Rhino was willing to take a risk here. A more comprehensive, updated multi-CD collection in the future would be great.
- Wow! This REALLY needs a cowboy bebop song! And sailormoon, what the heck!

- I lost mine so I'm glad to be able to find it. I play it for me and my son. Thank you
- This soundtrack never grows old - I have it playing right now on repeat. This is a case where the sequel is just as good as the original - and the music is also! The fantastic songs "He Lives in You" and "One of Us" are on my top 20 songs list.
What a value - $6.25 for a magical piece of disney. How can anyone resist?
Don't!
- This sound track had a the typical lion king feel to it. Though I am not a big fan of the end title or Upendi. Everything I like.
- This CD is the soundtrack of one of the best Disney Sequels to date. Fans of the movie will love to listen to the familiar songs repeatedly. The songs on this cd are entertaining and heartwarming and set to beautiful music.
- I think all the songs in this soundtrack are worth listening to, but this soundtrack is not so good as "Return to Pride Rock". Because many good songs were not in this soundtrack, such as "Song For the Children" "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "I Want to See the Moon". Well, I don't like this soundtrack, but I appreciate the cover of this soundtrack was cute. So I rate it 4 stars! ^_^

1 comments about Ergo Proxy: Opus 1.
- Not only is Ergo Proxy an awesome anime, but it has one killer soundtrack as well. This is mostly eerie minimal techno, but there is some rock thrown in as well. Track 2, Kiri, is the full version of the opening song for the show, which by the way is one of the most memorable anime intros i've ever seen. If you like this, then you should think about getting ahold of Opus 02, which as of this date, is only available through a Best Buy exclusive (in the USA, at least). Troubling enough, the US version does not have the ending song by Radiohead. I guess Geneon couldn't gain the rights in America for some reason.

5 comments about Classic Disney, Vol. 1.
- The CD arrived in good time and was of excellent quality for a used product.
- This CD is a wonderful collection of some 25(!) of the most beloved Disney hits. Indeed, the songs on this CD are all songs from the great Disney movies that you remember from your childhood. There's "Someday My Prince Will Come" from Snow White, "Colonel Hathi's March" from the Jungle Book, and "Chim Chim Cher-ee" from Mary Poppins. What's also wonderful is that the hits are from the great Disney movies right up to the present, with such songs as "Beauty and the Beast" from the movie of the same title.
My whole family loves these songs, and often sings along with them. As a wonderful bonus, we were not aware of "Minnie's Yoo Hoo!" which sounds like a 1920s, snappy little tune, and my children often play it twice and even three times in a row.
Buy this CD you won't regret it!
- I purchased this to keep my kids occupied on vacation, and it performed beautifully! I can recommend it fully.
- I have all 5 CD's and it is an awesome collection! All of my favorite songs are on the 5 CD's and every Disney fan like I am should have this collection!
- There isn't one single song from the 1977 classic "The Rescuers" included in this collection, I don't see why Disney chose not to include any of those songs which are all gorgeous, when they did include unmemorable and weak songs instead, I've seen these CD's with songs that aren't half as good as "Tomorrow is Another Day," "The Journey," "Someone's Waiting for You" or "Rescue Aid Society."
Very disappointing, The Rescuers is a fine Disney classic and it should be included with all of the others.

- This CD is a wonderful collection of some 25(!) of the most beloved Disney hits. Indeed, the songs on this CD are all songs from the great Disney movies that you remember from your childhood. There's "You've Got A Friend In Me" from Toy Story, "Oo-De-Lally" from Robin Hood, and "I Wan'na Be Like You" from The Jungle Book (I love that Louis Prima!).What's also wonderful is that the hits are from the great Disney movies right up to the present, with such songs as "Jack's Lament" from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
My whole family loves these songs, and often sings along with them. My personal favorite is The Silly Song from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - I love that scene!
Buy this CD you won't regret it!
- This third CD of Disney music is a good mixture of the old with the new. Track 1: "Colors of the Wind" from POCAHONTAS is one of the best songs composed to date for a motion picture. Track 18: "Bella Notte" from LADY AND THE TRAMP brings back many memories as does Track 21: "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" from television show and movies. Going back even further is Track 24: "Little April Shower" from BAMBI, which is an interesting composition representing nature's beauty, fury and return to tranquility. Track 6: "Les Poissons" is a great number from THE LITTLE MERMAID that is well composed musically but also is used to advance the story of the film. This is yet another great CD in this series.
- Disney has once again put some of its most liked songs into a single album. The songs on this CD are some of my favorite songs and I'd recomend the CD for anyone that has kids or just likes the songs.
- Burton movies are great. Burton movies with Elfman's music... well, they're out of this world. Nightmare before Christmas is my favorite movie of all times, and someone who hasn't seen it, doesn't have to make those comments. It's a movie full of great feelings; plus the music is great. Someone who hasn't seen the movie wouldn't understand "Jack's Lament"... I invite Caroline to see it and THEN critize it. BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIMES.
- These Disney CD's are so great. People of all ages can enjoy them. My favorite is volume 2. My 3 year old LOVES it but so does my 22 year old friend!

3 comments about Lupin the 3rd: Sideburn Club Mix.
- this cd is awesome. all the songs were great remixes . this is the only lupin cd i own, but even though i havent heard the other ones, i think this a great cd.
- These were just plain awful.
What's so hard about releasing the original music from the Second Lupin III series? Original versions I want to hear: opening themes from second series Love Squall Super Hero Manhattan Joke (I realize this is from one of the films, but it's a great song) The tracks on this disk were just plain awful.
- No one can help but not feel good at the sound of the Lupin the 3rd theme. And here on this CD there are 13 tracks, most of which contain jazzy, remixes of said theme. Some of the other tracks are remixes of incidental music from the show and there are a couple of songs too. The information is as follows:
1. Lupin III '80 - latin & calcutta mix 2. Theme from Lupin III '78 - CLUB ESCAPE mix 3. Funny Walk in Old Fashion - Mori no Blend mix 4. Afro Rock Theme - ROCK AFRO mix 5. Toward the Patrol Line - YOU & FANTASTIC EXPLOSION mix 6. Love Squall - Fujiko's Love mix 7. Lupin III '80 - Sunaga Experience 9849 mix 8. Lupin the 3rd '78 AFRO ROCK THEME - Doushichattano Lupin mix 9. Love Squall - PANSASA Love Anthem mix 10. Lupin the 3rd '78 - Melting Version 11. Super Hero - 8-bits wonder mix 12. Theme from Lupin the 3rd (Vocal version) - Type CKB 13. Lupin the 3rd '80 - '80 a fool's paradise mix These tracks vary between Japanese and English language and contain some sound samples from the show. The CD may be cool but the same theme repeated over and over cancels out the typical use of music in the home. It's really only music that's most appropriate at quieter parties. There's a lounge lizard feel to it and it definitely sets a comfortable tone with some slow, mellow beats. Nothing goes too crazy, these are not 'techno' remixes. For fans of Lupin the 3rd (like me), this is a must buy. There are dozens of other Lupin CDs but they're a bit hard to come by. This is a brand new release and all fans and completists must buy.
