1. Relaxing music. We put it on for my son at bed time. He loves it! One of his favorite so far.

3. I was not disappointed when I played this CD for the first time. The music is really compatible with relaxing, daydreaming and drawing. My kids enjoy listening to it and I do to.



4. I used this CD while elementary students were taking a test. They loved it and so did I. The selections were chosen carefully to be soothing and uplifting. This CD is an excellent way to introduce anyone of any age to Mozart. It can be played in the background while you are working. I listen to it in my counseling office.



5. My seven year old is quickly progressing at piano and is playing simple pieces of Bach. She had previously only appreciated Bach (with a Bach children's tape) but now is true to Mozart. Plays every morning on our way to school--what a way to start the day!

1. Any CD John Denver sings on is a beautiful CD. This is a must for anyone collecting Christmas CD's or John Denver music. The songs are absolutely beautiful for any time of the year!



2. John Denver typical in "Christmas Like A Lullaby", along with other holiday favorites make this easy listening.



3. can't go wrong with any John Denver recording but this cd is not the original 13 track product released in 1990. it only has 10 tracks. this practice is totally frustrating and i would like to know why it is done. others on the web have also expressed irritation with this practice. i want original material and when you think you have found it you find it's not the case. if it's a money issue, i would gladly pay more to get the original product. the same thing happened on Denver and the Muppets Christmas recording. can this practice be stopped? this would have been an easy 5 rating if it were all there!

This wonderful album by John Denver is one of my favorite Christmas albums, and for good reason; it serves up both John as well as a lovely selection of traditional Christmas songs, which renders it into a terrific family listening experience. The inimitable Mr. Denver is in top form here, and his selection of songs and arrangements is perfect. Many of these songs are timeless, and a few like "Christmas Like A Lullaby" are very special songs written by John himself. John's voice is in perfect pitch as he soars through "First Noel'", "Away In a Manger", "White Christmas", "Jingle Bells", an interesting interpretation of Elvis Presley's famous "Blue Christmas', along with "Marvelous Toy", "Rudolph The Red Nosed reindeer", and a wonderful cover of "Little Drummer Boy". He seems so very much at peace and happy as he sings all the songs on this album, and it is a comfort to those of us who considered him a special person and entertainer to still have him around with wonderful seasonal albums like this as well as all the more popular albums he left behind as his personal legacy to a grateful world. He has been gone for almost a decade now, but with albums like this to share with millions of kindred souls, John Denver will never be forgotten. Peace!



5. I purchased this CD when it was first released and has been a family favorite ever since. The title song, written by John, reminds us all that wherever we are, the spirit of Christmas stays with us, for we are always home when we are with the people we love. The guitar and falsetto vocal parts of this song always make me tingle and bring tears to my eyes because they are so beautiful. Other songs on the album are equally as pleasurable.

   Children seem to enjoy listening to this CD as much as they enjoy A Christmas Together with the Muppets - especially the songs: Jingle Bells, Marvelous Toy and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer.

   I highly recommend this CD to anyone but especially to true John Denver fans. It's wonderful!

5 comments about Veggie Tales Sing Alongs: More Sunday Morning Songs with Bob and Larry.

1. You just can't go wrong with Veggie Tales. Bob & Larry are funny and the tunes are catchy. You'll both be singing them around the house. Also provides a good reinforcement of Bible stories throughout the week. Fun learning.



2. I love theses songs almost as much as my children! Very catchy and with a good message!



3. Vegiie Tales really reaches all age groups. I use this for for a babies and toddlers group and they love the songs as much as the adults that help with group.



4. I love VeggieTales. The kids have so much fun with the songs. We do praise every morning before school; a great way to start the day.



5. This CD as well as all the other Veggie Tale products are great. My 4 and 1 year olds love to sing and dance with the silly music.

5 comments about VeggieTales: Junior's Bedtime Songs.

1. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this CD. I love how it repeats itself -- so the first 15 songs include the sweet dialogue between Junior and his mom and the last 15 are just the songs.
   
   Unlike another reviewer, our favorite song is "Bushel and a Peck," which is so sweet and low-key. These are great songs to put on when it's time to "quiet down" for a little while, in the time leading up to a nap or as you wind down for the evening. Songs are really easy to learn (esp after you listen to them for the 50th time -- and the 50th time is really just as great as the first), and so enjoyed by our little girl.
   
   Thanks, Veggie Tales, for continuing to provide wholesome, God-centered stuff for our children!



2. Anybody familiar with Veggie Tales would love this CD. It's Junior singing--what's not to love? As with all Veggie Tales media, it's a great way to introduce Bible stories & lessons to little ones. Warning--Parents are not immune from getting hooked on the lyrics!



3. My little guys love to listen to this at bedtime. After we say a prayer I turn it on and the 2 year old starts talking right along with it ... "Junior, it's time for you to go to sleep." Very sweet. As a matter of fact, the old one got scratched beyond repair so I just ordered a new one.



4. My boys have listened to this tape, then cd, for 3! years now. It's soothing, and the instrumental background is great. Junior's mom sings to Junior and softly speaks to him a few times. Junior says things to his mom that my boys have said to me. It's very tender and very real. This cd's a winner at this house!



5. I bought this cd for my daughter when she was two and having a hard time sleeping on her own. It was the first of many veggie cd's we have purchased. The CD was and continues to be a source of great comfort for her. She still listens to it at bedtime.
   My greatest find was the way Big Idea stands behind the products they sell (we bought three DVD's that are incompatible with the Disney Princess DVD player) and they immediatley replaced them and sent two books to make up for the trouble.
   You cannot go wrong with Veggies, the music and videos have a strong Christian base so you know you do not have to worry about what your childrens will take away from them.
   I would highly reccomend this and all Big Idea products to any parent!

1. Baby Bach is one of my favorite baby classical CD for my baby! It's a collection you need to add. I listen to it daily with my little one.



2. Such a nice restful CD! My daughter goes to sleep with it every night and seems to love it.



3. While I do want my baby to listen to Bach's music played with "real" instruments in an authentic style (which Baby Bach is NOT), Baby Bach is a very sweet, soothing selection of music. My newborn son and I both find this music very relaxing and it works like a charm to calm him down at bedtime! I would recommend this CD to any parent looking for new music to add to a baby's or young child's bedtime routine.



4. Puts our 6-week old daughter to sleep. What more could you ask for!



5. The baby einstein series of music CDs is the equivalent of muzack for babies- horror to the ears!
   I don't think babies need their music dumbed down to that degree.
   Anyway, for the parent it's awful to hear. The beauty inherent in the muusic is completely lost, and replaced with whistles, goofy chimes, and plastic pianos. Absolutely horrible.

1. This CD was a big disappointment. I was hoping for the REAL renditions for my child's birthday party, and BOY, while these are the real words, and sung in tune by adults, they are not the songs I remember listening to. (At least they are sung in tune, although there is not a drop of passion in it.)

   Perhaps I can get my money's worth out by hanging it outside to scare the crows away.




2. These songs are definately for younger kids,but not even six year olds,younger. I do like "Achy Breaky Heart"Okay and I like"Hands Up" Alot,but most of it is for young kids. Good-bye.



3. Young kids really do dig this CD, and the bonus is that parents can tolerate it pretty well also, often even singing along. You wouldn't want to hear it every day, but it's a great choice for birthday parties. Though if your kid is old enough to worry about being cool, this probably isn't the CD for you. LOL



4. My kids love it. I only wish the music was by the original artists. ( I know, what do you want for a cheap price and an item targeted for kids...)



5. This is all feel-good music. We have listened to the tape while in the car until it has worn out. Thank you amazon.com. We could not find it anywhere else. Not even the company who made the tape could locate it for us. Now we've ordered the CD, and my husband even asked us to order one for his new car.

1. My kids want to hear this constantly in the car and I don't mind a bit! I think it is hilarious that they now know all the words to Bicycle Built for 2 and Surrey With the Fringe on Top.



2. Drove to Disney World with this in the CD player for my then 5 year old. I'm not sure who liked the CD best, Mom, Dad or little one! It's been a few years now, and whenever I hear one of the songs from the CD, It takes me back to our first road trip as a family and brings smiles. Definitley a great listen for all of the family, and the songs are catchy and deliver a great message for all.



3. The songs are ones we all know and maybe love but it is Veggie Tales and that is always a big winner with my children. I happen to like Bob and Larry alot myself and don't mind putting this CD in the car for the children to listen to while doing my errands. It is good.



4. This is a fun CD to play in the car. My son just loves it.



5. Veggie Tales is music that I love for my grandchildren to listen to. It is entertaining and fun for the children. It has combined fun and laughter with teaching the word of God.

1. This, like the other disks in the series, is a wonderful compilation of Americana -- "Folk music" in the pre-1960's sense of the term, meaning songs that parents have taught to their children for generations in America. Most are over a century old, but a few new songs are thrown in for good measure; by and large, the new songs fit well into the collection. The primary singer is occasionally accompanied by a kid's chorus, which keeps the overall sound "clean" and non-irritating to adults, and seems to have helped my 3-year old son pick up the lyrics quickly (he is working on Take Me Out to the Ballgame right now).



2. My daugther (she's 14 month old) love this CD! It has amazing songs!!! She's so happy with all the music! Excellent!



3. My daughter loves music and, at 2 years of age, memorized almost every song on this disc the first day. She loves it; I love her cute singing & dancing; it's a winner all-around!



4. Folksy kind of guitary kind of strummy kinda... Boring. It's well performed with high talent, but kids want goofy-stupid-silly stuff (at least mine does).



5. Although this product was tracked to Fernly, Nevada it never reached my address in Las Vegas. It is presently being disputed on my credit card. This seems to be the only way to contact Amazon concerning such matters. I give Amazon a "POOR" rating for customer support.

5 comments about Veggie Tales: Veggie Tunes, Vol. 2.

1. My 2 year old daughter received this for this past Christmas, as she LOVED the original Veggie Tunes. Another hit has been found. We listen to Veggie Tales almost everywhere: car, home... Wherever we are, nearly all of the time. She just loves them and this CD helps keep her happy. She has even begun reciting large chunks of some of the songs-and asks for particular ones again and again. I recommend this to any fan of VeggieTales.



2. This CD has great songs from several episodes of the Veggie-Tales series. My one complaint is that the actual "Bunny Song" was not included (so what if it's evil? They have Mr. Lunt's song in the third collection).



3. We are Jewish, but I still love this album. There is no mention of Jesus or Christianity, it's just good clean fun. The only thing that made me slightly uncomfortable was a theme in one song of "if you believe G*d will protect you" Great music, funny for adults & kids.



4. If you or your children are VeggieTales fans you'll enjoy this collection of some of the VeggieTales' classic songs.

   It includes the VeggieTales theme song as well as such memorable Silly Songs as "I Love My Lips", "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything", "The Song of the Cebu", and "The Dance of the Cucumber."

   In addition, it features songs from "Josh and the Big Wall," "Larry-Boy", and "Rack, Shack and Benny" such as the beautiful Broadway-like "Think of Me" lullaby.

   This is a great CD for listening to in the van on car trips. Not only will your children be singing along, but you'll find yourself singing and laughing as well.




5. My niece is a huge fan of the Veggietales. I have to admit that I like them too. Veggietales are educational and fun. Bob the tomato and Larry the Cucumber have such a way of teaching kids the Bible stories. The songs are too cute. One of my favorite songs is The song of Cebu. Veggietales are something that the whole family can enjoy.

1. I actually ordered this for a friend. The first time I heard this was when my sister had her first child in 1988. She had the cassette. I loved every song. I was a teenager. Later when I was older and had my first child, my sister bought the CD for me. I fell in love with it all over again. My child went to sleep with this CD for his first 3 years. Then I played it for my second child. My children are now 11 and 8. I still have the CD and sometimes listen to it. It brings back wonderful memories. She has such a beautiful, clear voice. I now hope my friend will get the same enjoyment with her first baby.



2. I got this when my twins were born in 1991 it relaxed them and put them to sleep. I lost the original and was so happy to find it again here. Joanie Bartels voice is so soothing, perfect for singing lullabies.



3. I am purchasing this for my daughter who is turning 9 next month. Our old cassette has been lost and she misses it. This is a lovely compilation.
