2. I prefer the slow songs, they seems to be a better fit for my baby. I also bought The Mozart Effect: Music For Babies: Nighty Night which I like a lot. The performances are well played by talented musicians. (I have a degree from Peabody so that's a true compliment)

1. I bought this CD for my 3 yr old nephew. It is the CD that he asks for every time he gets in the car now.



2. My son and I enjoy listening to this CD several times during the day. Love the different styles to each song.



3. My son LOVES this CD, along with Toddler Favorites, also by Music for Little People. Every single time we get into the car, he wants to listen to "Twinkle" (what he calls both of the CD's). I think it's a pretty enjoyable listen, and I don't really mind hearing it over and over and over...The tunes are quite catchy. I especially like the tone of boy(?)'s voice who sings "London Bridge is Falling Down", "Old Roger", and a few others. At first I thought it was a female singing, but there is a certain quality to the singer's voice that convinced me it was a pre-pubescent boy. Good choice.



4. My daughter loves this CD. Almost every song is a pleaser and has her saying "more, more." It's a little sing-songy but well worth it.



5. I stumbled upon this CD in our local library for my 2 going on 3 year old daughter. She immediately fell in love with this CD! And I was not annoyed by the grown up singers or the children. (let's face it, most children's CDs can grate your nerves after a while). We took it with us for a road trip and she listened to it on her big brother's CD player. Talk about a quiet ride!! Who needs a DVD player in the truck?! We also used it as the background music at her third birthday party. It was a bonafide hit! All the kids loved it and all the mothers kept asking, "Where did you get this CD? It's great!" I'm buying two copies!

1. This cd has helped my ADD daughter to concentrate fully on her studies, we are home schoolers



2. I was not disappointed when I played this CD for the first time. The music is really compatible with relaxing, daydreaming and drawing. My kids enjoy listening to it and I do to.



3. I used this CD while elementary students were taking a test. They loved it and so did I. The selections were chosen carefully to be soothing and uplifting. This CD is an excellent way to introduce anyone of any age to Mozart. It can be played in the background while you are working. I listen to it in my counseling office.



4. My seven year old is quickly progressing at piano and is playing simple pieces of Bach. She had previously only appreciated Bach (with a Bach children's tape) but now is true to Mozart. Plays every morning on our way to school--what a way to start the day!



5. I play this music for my art classes. I teach Kindergarten through 6th grade art at an elementary school in Connecticut. All classes respond to this music. It seems to be calming and helps them to focus on their art work. I explain that the music will make them more creative. One third grade boy said "This really works."

1. I remember getting this on tape in Sam Goody. I liked it back than but now I don't think so. Some of the songs were not very silly like I got Shoes and Bingo and Rocka my Soul.



2. Good thing this is a fun CD to listen to... my granddaughter listens to it over and over again... and we all enjoy it! A nice selection of familiar easy to sing songs.



3. Bought the tape because it was so cheap. The shepherd and lamb on the tape cover kinda tells you songs might be religious, but I agree, it would be nice to tell customers that in the product description. The words in some of the songs are super-silly (read - stupid). In spite of this, I love the tape! The tunes are very engaging, to the point that I find myself listening to (and singing along with) this tape all the way to work after I drop off my son at his daycare. My toddler son likes these songs too. This tape is one of the only two children's song tapes that I keep in my car for my son's entertainment. For the money, it is a nice tape to add to your collection.



4. Bought it to entertain out 6 month old grandkid. It works, if we sing along with him :-)

1. As a teacher i use this CD to start the day for the class. Each year the class chooses a class theme song. After attendance and those business issues of the day the children are called to the carpet meeting area with the class song that they sing along with. This CD is a replacement for one that the children over the past few years have worn out.



2. My younger son and I both loved this CD, as well as other Joanie Bartels CDs, when he was a baby and I'm now buying it for my older son's first child. Joanie has a pleasant voice and the cheerful music is a great way to get going in the morning.



3. I - We! - listened to this tape since the time my kids were toddlers. It is wonderful! Upbeat, positive, warm, feel-good music, meant for kids but easy to listen to for all ages. My kids are now 14 and 17, and I am ordering a cd version for both myself, and my 50 year old sister - we both still love the CD!

5 comments about Veggie Tales: Junior's Bedtime Songs.

1. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this CD. I love how it repeats itself -- so the first 15 songs include the sweet dialogue between Junior and his mom and the last 15 are just the songs.
   
   Unlike another reviewer, our favorite song is "Bushel and a Peck," which is so sweet and low-key. These are great songs to put on when it's time to "quiet down" for a little while, in the time leading up to a nap or as you wind down for the evening. Songs are really easy to learn (esp after you listen to them for the 50th time -- and the 50th time is really just as great as the first), and so enjoyed by our little girl.
   
   Thanks, Veggie Tales, for continuing to provide wholesome, God-centered stuff for our children!



2. Anybody familiar with Veggie Tales would love this CD. It's Junior singing--what's not to love? As with all Veggie Tales media, it's a great way to introduce Bible stories & lessons to little ones. Warning--Parents are not immune from getting hooked on the lyrics!



3. My little guys love to listen to this at bedtime. After we say a prayer I turn it on and the 2 year old starts talking right along with it ... "Junior, it's time for you to go to sleep." Very sweet. As a matter of fact, the old one got scratched beyond repair so I just ordered a new one.



4. My boys have listened to this tape, then cd, for 3! years now. It's soothing, and the instrumental background is great. Junior's mom sings to Junior and softly speaks to him a few times. Junior says things to his mom that my boys have said to me. It's very tender and very real. This cd's a winner at this house!



5. I bought this cd for my daughter when she was two and having a hard time sleeping on her own. It was the first of many veggie cd's we have purchased. The CD was and continues to be a source of great comfort for her. She still listens to it at bedtime.
   My greatest find was the way Big Idea stands behind the products they sell (we bought three DVD's that are incompatible with the Disney Princess DVD player) and they immediatley replaced them and sent two books to make up for the trouble.
   You cannot go wrong with Veggies, the music and videos have a strong Christian base so you know you do not have to worry about what your childrens will take away from them.
   I would highly reccomend this and all Big Idea products to any parent!

1. I purchased several of the Baby Einstein CD's for my soon to be born grand-daughter. I found them to be calming, soothing, or happy and playful, depending on which CD you are listening to. I would definately recommend these CD's to any mother who might be having a hard time calming a crying baby, to help an infant fall asleep at night or to add just a bit more fun to playtime.



2. Our baby loves it! We tried this CD in the car and are now avid roadsters again. This and the other soothing CD "Nursery Lullaby" are the best! Wish we tried it earlier!

1. This CD was a big disappointment. I was hoping for the REAL renditions for my child's birthday party, and BOY, while these are the real words, and sung in tune by adults, they are not the songs I remember listening to. (At least they are sung in tune, although there is not a drop of passion in it.)

   Perhaps I can get my money's worth out by hanging it outside to scare the crows away.




2. These songs are definately for younger kids,but not even six year olds,younger. I do like "Achy Breaky Heart"Okay and I like"Hands Up" Alot,but most of it is for young kids. Good-bye.



3. Young kids really do dig this CD, and the bonus is that parents can tolerate it pretty well also, often even singing along. You wouldn't want to hear it every day, but it's a great choice for birthday parties. Though if your kid is old enough to worry about being cool, this probably isn't the CD for you. LOL



4. My kids love it. I only wish the music was by the original artists. ( I know, what do you want for a cheap price and an item targeted for kids...)



5. This is all feel-good music. We have listened to the tape while in the car until it has worn out. Thank you amazon.com. We could not find it anywhere else. Not even the company who made the tape could locate it for us. Now we've ordered the CD, and my husband even asked us to order one for his new car.
