1. Dean Martin definately has the smoothest voice of all the Rat Pack. The tragic thing is, he didn't have the best songs to go with his voice. Most of the songs in this set I am unfamiliar with. That being said, I still enjoy listening to the songs. It would have been nice if it had been digitallyl remastered to remove some of the "fuzz" from the original LP recordings, but it's not horrible. For the amount of songs, it's a great bargain.



2. Dean Martin is wonderful as always, and there are some really good, rare songs, but the audio isn't all that spectacular. It has a scratchy old radio sound to it. If you're a big Dino fan, it's a nice set to have, but don't expect great quality.



3. I love dean. no question about it. if the quality is bad, like here it is bad on some songs, then I will still love to here the relaxed baritone sing those smooth notes. Dean is the best and people who want to put this thing down need to put their foot in their mouth. If you really love dean, then this is for you at a [low] price.



4. This box set is a must for the true Dino fan/collector. The tracks are very hard to find, and originate I believe from early radio and television broadcasts. True, the quality is not the best. But for the simple rarity factor of these recordings , I couldn't wish for a better set.



5. Don't let the long list of great songs fool you. This box set is cheap for a reason. You get what you pay for. alomst all of the songs are live proformances and the audio is terrible. If you can imagine Dean singing these songs live on an old radio, then you threw the radio down a well, you can get a good idea of what the audio is like. I certainly would not recommend anyone buying this unless they are looking for old live preformances of Dean Martin that sound like they're on Vinyls instead of CDs.

1. These CD's were ok if you don't care who recorded them. I seemed to have been under the "delusional impression" that the music would be by the original artists. Not so! The songs are just not the same without this!!

1. Horrendous. That pretty much covers it.

   I made the mistake of seeing this set in a store, and it seemed like a good price for three CDs of music. Turns out, 'music' is somewhat overstating the case. This is pretty much useless unless you want to get surrounding people really mad at you (and, I have found, it is quite useful at that).

   The first track had no lyrics. I thought "Boy, this should really have lyrics". During the second track, I rescinded that thought.... I can't even say how bad this is. I'm trying, and failing. Oh well.

1. I Highly Recomend this collection of Bing Crosby music to anyone who loves music! In fact if your a Crosby fan and you haven`t yet discovered this wonderful music you are in for a treat! The 64 tracks in this collection arguably represent some of Bing`s finest efforts. Songs like, Thats what life is all about (a recording that charted for Bing!), At my Time of Life, Come share the wine, Children, The woman on your arm, not to mention his fine re-recordings of Change Partners, and How are things in Glocca Morra? As well as his duets with Johny Mercer and Fred Astaire will give you hours of listening pleasure. (I purchased this collection last summer.....and they haven`t left the Cd player since) Contrary to Huge`s opinion stated above there is nothing disco-ish about any of these recordings and Bing was in fine voice and cetianly lacked no enthusiasiam. Bing cetianly worked extremely hard in the last three years of his life, recording music for at least ten albums and its really ashame that more attention isn`t given to these songs today. Hopefully one day soon all the music from the 70` will be available but for now we have perhaps the cream of the crop in this collection.
   Incedently Beautiful Memories and the Complete United Artist sessions are the same collection of songs, one just comes in a collectors case with excellent liner notes...but buy both and keep one for back up! If any producers are listening out there how about making the Bing and Basie, the Southern Memoir, Feels Good, Feels Right, Seasons, and Final Chapter albums available on Cd? Well, God Bless and take care.



2. I'm a HUGE Crosby fan, with two books and a dozen CDs. This is the first I'll sell back. The recordings were made within three years of his death, and it shows. He lacks strength and interest. The 70s disco strain throughout, sounds best suited as background for THE LOVE BOAT. Every standard was composed for someone else. Too bad...



3. These recordings mark the last work Bing Crosby did on record, proving his voice never deserted him. Sometimes the orchestrations are a bit muzak-like, but the great beauty of the voice, deep and warm, more then makes up for that. A must for Crosby fans.



4. These recordings were made in the mid seventies. Thanks to first-rate sound and first-rate orchestrations, nearly every track in this collection is a joy. I have about a dozen Bing Crosby CD's; and I put this set in the category of "Cream of the Crop."
