3 comments about Time Out! Time in for Them.
- To listen to this cd is to hear some great, great music. At this point, Them were winding down a very busy but somewhat unnoticed two years of pursuing a classicist psychedelic rock and pop direction. A prior album, a great deal of touring for broke throughout America, and the lineup dissolved, splintering the mighty Them again; original bassist Alan Henderson (the only member present on each Them record) rightly kept the name Them and reorganised, while several other members of this lineup stayed together for about two more years as Truth. Truth recorded demos but never received a release, until many years later (decades after the fact), but I personally feel their music is far superior to the earlier Them splinter band, The Other Them aka Belfast Gypsies. CdBaby has the Truth cd, recommended very highly.
So with "Time Out! Time In For Them", the band is captured at their height to date, and it's really a monster of a rock record. Only the Beatles crafted better psych, and that also means shredding the chords and - actually, this is a great band doing top-shelf work in the same realms of much more famous bands (Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Yardbirds, Jimi Hendrix, 13th Floor Elevators, Monkees, Iron Butterfly, Yes, etc.) and surpassing most of them in artistic reach, and this music certainly beats just about *any* psychedelic rock album of it's era. The fact that hardly anyone outside of Them's sizable fan loyalists has heard this (or any post-'66 Them) album is really a tragedy of sorts. An album this accomplished (great vocals, unsurpassed and imaginative musicianship, great originals and great covers) should have been one of 1968's biggest stories in the rock landscape. Some suggest that this psychedelic milestone arrived six months too late to have made any real impression- it's basically true that psych peaked in a commercial sense at the very beginning of '68; while there is validity to that argument, "Time Out! Time In For Them" should have attracted the attention of the psych community. But poor promotion and a strangely lingering shadow of Morrison added to their bad business experiences and the album just sort of...vanished, few copies selling and thus very few printed, and Them falling out of the radar.
Absurd. Them were, in my estimation, one of the greatest bands on the planet for their last 5 studio albums, and each track is awesome in it's own way - if you haven't heard any Them, or haven't even heard of Them, this is still a must-own masterpiece.
- I bought this for the Original Single Version of "Dirty Old Man", as I have been unable to locate a copy of the original 45 after searching for 20 years. Yes, that song is amazing - however, it is the only good song on this CD. I guess if you're a hippy you might like the rest of the CD.
- While "Them" or a band called Them put our more records after this featuring sole original member bassist Alan Henderson, this is the last record by a real group that had any ties to the Van Morrison led Them. Aside from the blistering original single version of "Dirty Old Man" mysteriously featured here instead of on "Now and Them" where the later, poppier and lighter version of the song appeared, none of this sounds much like Van's Them, but some of it is quite passable and enjoyable west coast style psychedleia from 1968. The band's primary problem was a lack of songwriting talent. They relied primarily on the "outside" Lane/ Pulley songwriting team for material on this record. The musicianship is quite respectable, though, and some of the songs, including the title track and "Waltz of the Flies" may get stuck in your head. Plenty of bonus tracks, including the original single version of "Square Room" (also featured on "Now and Them"), a very moody psychedelic piece written by the group, plus two more versions of the same song(!), and the aformentioned "Dirty Old Man", which is well worth hearing. Recommended, but mostly for fanatics.

5 comments about The '60s Rock Experience.
- This CD digs pretty deep and doesn't just repeat what's on (and on and on and on!) classic rock radio stations. Good variety, good sound quality.
- I don't like to think too much about this stuff. No over-analyzing here. When I'm cruising down the road in my Mini-Van....this music takes me away from work and other nagging issues. Good tunes. Worthy of cranking up and testing the factory speakers.
- Ultimately a companion piece to the TV mini-series about the 60's,this collection of music treads rather familiar ground duplicated in one fashion or another on numerous other collections/compiliations (albiet with improved sound).
For the sake of brevity it is a quick way of purchasing a sampling of the mainstream music that dominated the Era, but falls way short of making any kind of definitive statement. The breakdown of the 3 cds into "themes" (ahem) is really quite arbitrary if anyone who live during that period examines the choices (frm 1960-1970 I was 8-18 yrs old, moving frm Ohio to San Francisco during the summer of love).
It seems the designers of this package emphasize Vietnam as a dominant "theme" (ahem) for at least 2 of the 3 disks...excluding other possible choices to focus on. In our age of terrorism and warfare in Iraq it seems too easy an association for convienience sake.
Other themes of equal importance (arguably), and perhaps a more interesting theme listing might include; The British Invasion, The Underground Scene, Consciousness Experimentation (non-drug), Consciousness Expansion (drug), Counter-culture kitsch, The Advent of FM radio,...to name a few. Sure, some of these tracks apply, but only in a radio friendly (MOR+AM) sense.
Nothing here really ventures into challenging territory, and if anything, challenge and confrontation were the essence of this Era besides the incense'n peppermints.
If only 1 track adventurously broke the 2-3min time restaints I'd of added a star.
Sure, I'm not expecting the full length 'Inna-godda-davita' of Iron Butterfly, but I'd a been more than thrilled with the full Chambers Brother's 'Time Has Come Today'.
Bottom line: this is The 60's Experience for the lazy. Seek and you shall find, better collections are out there. PEACE
- Nobody who lived through the 60s could fail to be moved and taken back by this collection!! It seriously kicks. Both the selections and the order of presentation are excellent. I would highly recommend this set to anybody who was of high school and/or college age during the period and particularly if you were both like me. The 60s was a seriously unique time that deserves the reflection this wonderful collection evokes.
- Just got this 3 set (CDs). (March 2005). Rip off if you are expecting full length songs....

5 comments about The Who - Thirty Years of Maximum R&B Live.
- I bought it from amazon in video format for less than $3.00 I dont' expect too much but believe it or not!!!, the box look so neat and clean and when i get the tape out of the box there comes my biggest surprise it's a valuable and hard-to-find booklet!!! very worth for $3.00!!!!!! The booklet is great.
My only dissapoint is there're no Baba O'riley, Won't Get Fooled Again, and maybe something more on their last two albums. But Otherwise it's great!!!
I'm so lucky to get this gem for only $3.00 in a nice condition, my school's lunch is $2.50 and it sucks!!!!!!!!!
- This was available in DVD a few years ago, but seems to have gone out of print. The piece is a good companion to The Kids Are Alright, as its concert clips don't overlap TKAA at all, and in fact the two complement each other nicely in some cases. It brings the published concert clips up to 1989, the last Who tour before the 30th anniversary mark, and includes some nice Kenney Jones clips.
The major omission, in my opinion, is the surviving clips from Live Aid. Sure they sounded rough that day. Sure they hated being in the same arena together. Sure John blew up the preamp in his main bass seconds before going on, and can be heard tuning his backup bass during My Generation. Wouldn't that be fun to see/hear? I think it would... In any case, if you can find the 30 Years DVD, get it by any means necessary. Same goes for the VHS version. You won't regret it.
- This DVD was fantastic, a great trip throu THE WHO'S great carer.
There is yust some bad things I have to say, I think there shuld have been more WHO with Keith Moon and not so much without him, becaus the real WHO was with Moon I think and thats what I whant to see. And when you see all this great shows you will understand ther must be very much stuff unrelised, so why in Haven and hell dont they give out more of this great stuff???? I whant more WHO so I realy hope they will relise much more WHO DVDs wery soon.
- If you want to watch the Who performing, this is the video to have. The Tanglewood Music Shed performance is SUPERB!!!, then the Isle Of Wight, Holland 1972, the Charlton concert 1974 is AWESOME !!!, the excerpt from the unrealesed movie "Who Are You" is very interesting, The Chicago Ampiteather concert in 1979 is excellent. A MUST-HAVE for WHO FANS and ROCK fans. The greatest live band ever, and here's their testimony. Nice interviews between set of songs too. PERFECT compilation of WHO live history.
Nancy from CA, don't be so funny please. One Star 'cos you couldn't watch the video 'cos they sold it to you in bad shape??? what's that please. Such was the need to type a review? Don't Do It if you couldn't see it. Plain and simple. We don't care your stupid story. Watch the video and then talk :-)
- A true Who fan already owns the Jeff Stein classic "The Kids Are Alright," but there's ample reason to add "Maximum R&B" to one's shrine. The difference here is that the band interviews (minus the late Keith Moon) between concert footage show the group in later years, with plenty of reflection and musing over their place in rock and roll pantheon.
The songs, culled from sets spanning over two decades, are a good mix of The Who's Mod, Pop Art, and hard rock catalogue, and each performance is riveting. A sample of my favorite moments show how much the band evolved from their debut in 1964: the anarchic jamming of "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere" (with screaming teenaged audience), to the overdriven pop of "So Sad About Us" where I could swear John Entwistle's bass sounds like a demonic piano. The best (in my opinion) era is the post-"Tommy"/Woodstock appearances at Tanglewood and Isle of Wight, where the band burns through "Heaven and Hell," "I Can't Explain," "Water" and "I Don't Even Know Myself." The abandon and power in The Who's playing was never equalled and seldom surpassed even by the group's later efforts. The later years, of course, show the band getting bigger (chalking up a Guiness world record for attendance at Charleton concert in 1974) yet still game, mixing songs from "Quadrophenia" with 60's hits like "Substitute." I was surprised at how powerfully they pulled off the "Quadrophenia" set, loaded as it was with synthesizer tapes and technical booby traps. When The Who rocket through "Drowned " and "Bell Boy" it's clear that their chemistry was partly fired by Moon's mania; when he died, something of the old Who died with him. But "Maximum R&B" is as good as any tribute to this excellent band.

5 comments about The Magnificent Moodies.
- I was very impressed with this collection as a complete package of Laine-era Moody Blues. All 26 of their recordings on one disc! That's a great selling point right there. I also really liked the informative liner notes by John Tracy--they are much better than his inane musings in the old Prelude, Blue Jays, Songwriter, and Night Flight CDs. His writing has improved dramatically.
However, like most people, I feel the music here is mainly for diehard fans or British Invasion historians. There are several gems on here though, surrounded by a lot of par-for-the-course R&B. "Go Now" was a deserved hit, but I'm really a big fan of "Boulevard de La Madeline." To me it makes a nice bridge between Laine-Moodies and Days of Future Passed. A great, inventive, beautiful piece of sixties art-rock.
Overall an excellent package, highly recommended for those interested in hearing early Moody Blues.
- Just as there were two Small Faces. Marriot v Stewert, there were two Moody Blues, pre and post Laine.
For me, Go Now remains one of the most enduring songs from the 1960s. The rest of the songs more or less can be found on any eary Stone,Beatles, Kinks,Who, Rolling Stones album.
I would have loved to see the early Moody Blues evolve as the above mentioned bands did. But it did'nt happen.
The second Moody Blues were the pot smoking LSD type songs Nights in White Satin, Timothy Leary's Dead. Brilliant? Personally I could tell them where they could ride their seewaw!
Unless you are a big fan of early English R&B or this is the only way to get your hands on Go Now, I would pass.
- The original Moody Blues -- guitarist and principal vocalist Denny Laine, pianist/vocalist Mike Pinder, drummer Graeme Edge, bassist Clint Warwick and Ray Thomas (wind instruments, vocals) -- had only one hit single in 1965. That song, a cover of Bessie Banks'"Go Now", would prove impossible to follow up. Neither the following singles or the LP "Magnificent Moodies" would come close to reaching the top 40 in the US or the UK.
Repetoire has now reissued the 12 track album on this CD, along with 14 other tracks that had been released only on singles, many only in Europe -- all the songs recorded by the first lineup. This reissue is the first to contain the French EP track, "People Gotta Go", by far the rarest Moodies track. It's pretty typical British Invasion music, with the primary distinction being that the sound is centered more on Pinder's piano than guitar.
When listening to this stuff, it's understandable why this version of the group never really made it -- they weren't all that good. Laine was a very soulful vocalist and Pinder an OK pianist, but the guys, even for the era, were very limited musicians. Some of the covers sound pretty thin, and Laine/Pinder weren't exactly Lennon/McCartney in the songwriting department. Besides the wonderful "Go Now", there are only three other tracks that rank up there as classics. "Time Is On My Side" is a more upbeat version than that by the Stones; "From the Bottom of My Heart" is a haunting acoustic number; and "Boulevard de la Madeleine", their next to the last single, is a gorgeous ballad. This is the only track here that hints at any progression or sophistication from the band. By the time it came out, though, Laine and Warwick had left, resulting in two key replacements that would eventually catapult the group to a new level of sucess.
Moodies hardcores will want this CD. Otherwise, very few Moody Blues fans would consider it worth the effort, even though there are a few gems here.
- This is the real stuff, the Denny Laine-led Moody Blues, proud part of the British R&B Invasion. Don't be fooled by the post-Laine hippie band.
- I have been eagerly awaiting Repertoire's new updated "Magnificent Moodies" (REP-5077), which arrived today.
Tracks are:
1.I'll Go Crazy
2.Something You Got
3.Go Now!
4.Can't Nobody Love You
5.I Don't Mind
6.I've Got A Dream
7.Let Me Go
8.Stop
9.Thank You Baby
10.It Ain't Necessarily So
11.True Story
12.Bye Bye Burd
13.People Gotta Go
14.Steal Your Heart Away
15.Lose Your Money (But Don't Lose Your Mind)
16.It's Easy Child
17.I Don't Want To Go On Without You
18.Time It On My Side
19.From The Bottom of My Heart (I Love You)
20.And My Baby's Gone
21.Everyday
22.You Don't (All The Time)
23.Boulevard De La Madeleine
24.This Is My House (But Nobody Calls)
25.Life's Not Life
26.He Can Win
The original Moody Blues recordings have always sounded murky and second (or third) generation, and unfortunately, although they DID make some sonic improvements, they still sound pretty awful. (I read somewhere that Mike Pinder, an original member was quoted as saying that these sides were professionally recorded on multi-track and he doesn't know why they don't sound better....)
Here's what they fixed:
"I've Got A Dream" - brighter than other reissues...more like other tracks.
"Stop", "Everyday" and "You Don't" - they got rid of most of the tape hiss.
"People Gotta Go" - a rare track only issued on a 1966 French E.P. It was recorded at the final Laine session.
Here's what they HAVEN'T fixed:
"Boulevard De La Madaleine" - I believe that is the correct spelling...not Madelaine and this track NEVER faded in (taking nearly 20 second to get up to the proper audio level....only after John Tracy did the original Decca/London anthology in 1988. BEFORE that reissue, the UK single, the US single and the rechanneled track on "World Of" LP did NOT fade in.)
John Tracy's late 1980's reissues, besides containing silly liner notes, had an engineer that enjoyed fading in tracks that started at full volume. (This is occured on "Something Better" by Marianne Faithfull and "Laughing Fit To Cry" by The Fortunes.)
So....their reissue is about the best I've heard on CD, and contains all 26 tracks The Denny Laine-era Moody Blues recorded...but not the sparkling quality I've come to expect from Repertoire.
Pity....a major disappointment for me....The Denny Laine Moody Blues sessions are among my favorite 1960's UK recordings....BUT STILL WORTHWHILE BUYING.

5 comments about Angel Station.
- ANGEL STATION is a great CD by Manfred Mann's Earth Band. Some critics claim that when Mann formed his Earth Band, he went in over his head, but that is mistaken, because, unlike his work with the Manfreds, his 70s/80s albums are actually the work of a mature artist fully realizing his talents. Mann's (and singer Chris Thompson's) belief that the young Australian tourist jailed in Indonesia since 2005 on drug-smuggling charges was unjustly convicted makes ANGEL STATION an essential purchase for both your ears AND your conscience.
- This remaster looks to not have the naked bat-woman's breasts covered up as in original American releases. The new Manfred Mann lineup doesn't skip a beat with this effort. As usual Mann uses a collection of top-notch songs re-worked as only the master-arranger can delivering a dark, mysterius effort.
- I think this album is at least the equal of "Roaring Silence." The songs are memorable and infectious - they stay in your head for hours. While this is an Earth Band trait, it's also the hallmark of a "good" song. I'm not a fanatic about my music - I just know what I like, and this album is certainly on that list.
- This is a classic! For all you intelligent rock fans, this album is a must-have! I first listened to it from a friend's vinyl copy 19 years ago and it has never failed to amaze me all these years! If there's an album that comes close if not equal the great works of The Alan Parsons Projects' "Tales of Mystery & Imagination" or Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon," this enigmatic and hypnotic album is it! If the melodies and tunes take you to the heavens and the far reaches of space, stay calm. Angel Station will bring you back to earth. Thank you, Manfred Mann's Earth Band!
- I first heard this album 19 years ago from a friend who lent me his vinyl copy. If there's a group that comes close to the progressive rock works of the Alan Parsons Project's "Tales of Mystery & Imagination" or Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon," then Manfred Mann's "Angel Station" is it! No less, a classic and masterpiece in its own right! A definite must-have for any self-respecting and intelligent rock fan. If the melodies and tunes take you to the heavens and the far reaches of space, stay cool. "Angel Station" is there to bring you back to earth.

5 comments about The Essential Cilla Black 1963-1978.
- This is an excellent collection from a very talented British diva. There are so many great songs here, and although many of them are covers, Cilla really could make them her own. My favorites include 'You're My World', 'Anyone Who Had a Heart', 'First of May', 'Surround Yourself With Sorrow' and many others.
- At long last we have a Cilla compilation that has been put together with a lot of loving thought. It was wonderful to see that Stephen had included tracks from the "Images" album ("Junk") as well as the hard to find "Modern Priscilla" album ("Brooklyn"). I do not regret the purchase of this cd for one minute. Perhaps, with Stephen's loving care and work we will eventually get to see all of Cilla's recordings released onto the cd format. Maybe we could start with the "Images" and "Modern Priscilla" albums?
- Cilla has an amazing voice and I am finally glad to see some of her lesser know tracks available on CD. It is also nice to see a compilation put together not in chronological order, but rather an order that is pleasing to the ear. All and all this is a wonderful set and a must have.
- I have a great love for Sixties music and Miss Black is no exeception - she has been the subject of many compilations and reissues on CD, and it is always a pleasure to listen to new tracks issued onto CD. However - Mr Munns, the earlier reviewer of his own work on this CD, could have tried, if he wanted to be part of the issue of a professional music production, to make such a wonderful chance to do so result in something of great interest and an artistic success. What we got was a booklet with what seems like a rushed synopsis of Cilla's career, what with bad grammar and a confusion over lower case and upper case in type, overall bad journalism. The tracks could have been listed and edited in chronological order. It is a bit of a mix and it seems Mr Munns just wants his name connected with Cilla in some way. Fine - but do get it right! He could have had all Bacharach/David and Lennon/McCartney material on the first CD and all others on CD 2. No offense intended as it is a joy to listen to, but surely he needs critical advice! Nice try. But this is just a mish-mash wishy washy affair and could've been a lot better. What a great, great, shame.
- This HOT major double CD from 1999....it's a project I have had the pleasure to work heavily on and to say the least it is a sizzling issue for Australasia as only 'Greatest Hits' packages have been available recently. Featuring many previously unreleased tracks to CD all sounding amazing & containing songs from every one of her classic Parlophone/EMI Albums, it is a music lovers delight ! The set also re-affirms the Beatles & Bacharach connections which were apparent from day one in Cilla's vast career, by show casing all of their penned songs recorded in this era.

- One star for incorrect information. Chris Farlowe is the best, and this CD is great BUT---
This is a single CD (as mentioned in the info "number of discs"). It is NOT the 2 CD version with 49 songs as shown in the above Amazon track listing.
This one has 16 tracks:
Out Of Time
Handbags And Gladrags
In The Midnight Hour
Mr. Pitiful
I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself
Think
North, South, East, West
Cuttin' In
Open The Door To Your Heart
Treat Her Good
What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted
Paint It Black
Ride On Baby
Don't Play That Song
(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
Baby Make It Soon
- I have no idea why Chris Farlowe isn't more popular than he is. One of the few singers who can literally make the make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. His version of`paint it black (in my opinion at least) blows the Rolling Stones out of the water. An album chockful of lots of good stuff. Please listen.
- Many people only know farlowe's work from out of time, but he is one of the most under rated RnB singers of the sixties and is still going strong, sounding as good today. I saw him with the Manfreds last year in Southend, Essex, England.
For me he was the unexpected jewel in the performance and he had a bad cold, I really want to hear him again live without the cold. Top singer and from what I have seen of him in the sixties, top Mod.
- this is a fantastic cd! chris farlowe has an amazing, mesmerizing voice- especially in such tunes as "out of time" and "paint it black." all music lovers must buy this cd.

2 comments about A Perfumed Garden, Vol. 3.
- Psych/Freakbeat is my favorite genre of music. This CD captures 18 great to excellent songs. Each track has been professionally remastered. Each "Perfumed Garden" CD offers provocative, linear 60's inspired artwork, but what really counts is the musical content. For a play by play review;
1.) "Take Her Anytime" is a moderate, freakbeat organ-driven advice song to a friend.
2.) "Baby I Got News For You" follows the song title lyric w/ "I just bought brand new shoes for you"! has a clanging lead and tinny rhythm guitar with a masterful lead during the break. Humorous, with a freakbeat feel.
3.) Swirling guitar and echo-laden vocals dominate "Out of the Sun"; a prominent bass line holds the tune together.
4.) Shyster [aka Les Fleurs de Lys] deliver a haunted, sinister mid-tempo song at what will happen at midnight to the residents of a town....
5.) The lead guitar in "Get Back Home" sounds like an angry bee as the lead vocalist snarls to his ex-girlfriend "You'd better....!" Good freakbeat number.
6.) The Groundhogs deliver a wall of sound with vocals and instruments competing for the same space; an avalanche of a trudging rhythm section is reminiscent of The Move's "Brontosaurus."
7.) "Please Leave My Mind" is a 'kiss-off' plea to an ex-girlfriend(sorry for the misogyny-it was a different time!).
The guitar rings as if it is sorry; the vocals are less remorseful(the lead guitar during the break is inspired, though)
8.) "Evil Woman" is an excellent cut with high backing vocals and lead singer describes his girlfriend who is evil, but he still loves her. The contrast between the backing vocals and the downcast instruments makes this a work of art. It also ends on a positive note!
9.) "No Place For Lonely People" is a driving freakbeat piece, influenced by the Kinks/Small Faces. During the song, each instrument has a brief solo spot(drums, bass, guitar, and vocals).
10.) My favorite cut is "For Your Information" by the Cedars. A sitar, expertly played, starts out this piece of sunshine psych pop. Soaring, better-than-the-Hollies harmonies follow the steady bass beat. Even during the solo break, the sitar plays a lead riff while simultaneously keeping the rhythm. This cut has to be heard to be believed.
11.) A positive lead singer emotes that "Life is short, time can be bought" in "Lust for Life"; This song states that even though this world is pretty bad, I'm still going to be loving towards people.
12.) "It's What You Give" has a humorous take the boyfriend/girlfriend theme like the second song on this compilation. It starts out "Baby, you don't own a car and you don't own a fridge; it's no matter what you've got it's what you give." Features a viola to keep the beat.
13.) The previous reviewer stated that "The Line of Least Resistance" was worth half the price-and he's right. What starts out as a John Denver sound alike soars after the vocal starts. Exquisite playing in the lead acoustic and rapid, soft bass and piano round out this great piece. Soaring backround vocals add positive reinforcement.
14.) "Over the Hills' is a slow, moody song whose drum tempo resembles the ticking of a clock. This captures the 'where am I?' theme either after waking up from sleep or something more serious. I cannot identify the instrument that wails at the end.
15.) Indian music, complete with running water and birds complement "Which Dreamed It"; very spacy, but meditative with a tambura keeping the beat throughout.
16.) "Felix" is a story song about a good natured young man who disappeared one day (He said he was going home...."). It's melancholy, with a downcast arrangement with an organ but has great harmony in the vocals.
17.) Yet another 'see ya later' song, with Serendipity(pretty ironic) singing "[I'm] Through with You." Distorted guitars descend, then swirl into the vocals. This tune reminds me of the late 60's band The Illusion.
18.) The CD closes with Rupert's People [aka Les Fleurs de Lys again]; they recorded this version with a male lead singer, but I prefer the female lead of the band singing it-much more provocative(this is available on their compilation CD). A good closer with an inspired lead guitar during the break.
All three "Perfumed Garden" Cd's are highly recommended. This set is the best of all. If you can find them, the two "Rubble" Box Sets are also recommended.
- A great series. Worth half the price alone for "Line of Least Resistance", a single from Keith Relf and Jim McCarty.

- It's a shame this is not more known. I've listened to it a lot and still enjoy every song everytime I play it. It's perfect; good songs, well written, arranged and performed, great vocals, very original, deep, I like everything about this album. The sopranino flute is ravishing, so joyful on one song. On one song they mix the sopranino with a soprano saxophone, a blend I like and never heard before. They succeed in creating a nice tribal atmosphere throughough the album. Very en-joy-able.
- I copied this music from a friend back in the 90's but i lost the casette. Today i found the self written cover and i also found it as a cd her at Amazon. Marvellous! Now it's on my wish list and will soon be in my possesion.
But i remember the songs fron the casette i had. And it is good. Meditative music. Kind of "Brian Eno"ish. The new tracks that are on this cd are new to me and i look forward to hearing them.
