5 comments about Classic Disney: 60 Years of Musical Magic.
- I was 67 years old , when I began listening to these wonderful Disney songs. And when the last song ended, it seemed that I lost 50 years. I believe that this wonderful music brings back old wonderful memories that is like true magic. Alas my hair has now turned black , and all my wrinkles are now gone away. Also just chased my wife around Southern California. She told me to stop listening because she said she can't keep with me anymore. I owe it all to these 5 magical albums.
- There really isn't anything else that can be said for this awful box set full of meaningless gobbledock and inane twee that's arranged from sounds. Disney music is the worst thing that music has ever experienced. kidz bop may be something that comically states the downfall of music even worse. soulja boy is there for me when I feel crappy, because I realise that people just suck worse at life than I do. I take sadist laughs at people who listen to Nickelback. All of those others are so crappy you can't just help and laugh at them.
But not for Disney. There's nothing funny about this. It's grave. Grave my friend. It's not like disney ever had the potential to be nothing more than a horrible company the day that idiot walt disney founded his _______ dream, but the biggest failure was even trying to touch music. Maybe if he would have realized that his taste in picking composers is lame. How does disney keep messing up music anyway?
Anyway, disney music fails for a lot of reasons. Let's debunk it with the music first. The generic orchestra, irritating, timid music, it's so twee it makes me barf. It's very boring, actually. It's mearly short comed as it's just there because it has to be. Yeah, lot's of the music I listen to has the same kind of thing. But the reason why it's good is because of the vocals, the lyrics.
Ah, the lyrics. Awful. Nonsensical, twee, twee, and twee. This stuff is so damn forced and twee that it makes anybody cringe. It makes sense, because it's supposed to. There's no confrontation, there's no realism. A whole new World, sorry, but love ain't just that. It's a beautiful, complex thing, not a twee thing. I hate the way, and it just gets on my nerves.
Of course, this is disney, and it's millions of browbeaten followers will defend such garbage that anybody that's not spoiled sees right through. Oh well. You poons.

- This collection of Disney music is perfect for any Disney fan. My family loves Disney, and this couldn't have been better to get for our drives to our favorite home away from home. Our daughter listens to it in her room all of the time. If you love Disney, you will love this collection.
- I bought this for my daughter and I to sing along with in the car. It has all of our favorites and then some. If you can find a copy of the set you won't be disappointed! I'm here now looking for a replacement since mine have long since been scratched to death after many many hours of heavy rotation.
- This collection has almost every song from every Disney distributed moved up to 1995. Each cd contains around 25 songs. I purchased this collection as a gift for a niece of mine and she loves it (I must admit I got a big kick out of it too). If you're concerned about young children watching too much tv/dvds yet want them to enjoy music this is a definitely a product worth looking at.

5 comments about Mommy and Me: 100 Songs for Kids.
- I bought my first set used from a local ad. My daughter loves it, and I actually do to. During a kitchen remodel, we seem to have lost 2 discs, which is why I'm looking on amazon for them. There is some repetition of tunes, but that seems to have taught my daughter to make up her own words to her favorite tunes. The songs are upbeat, not overly saccharine, and pleasant even after the 50th time.
- My toddler loves these CDs possibly because all the songs are sung by kids. It really entertains and sooths her. Great for car trips and play time. A few of the songs are nursery rhymes put to music but most are classics and there are so many that you never get bored listening to them over and over again. Definately a good investment.
- These songs are upbeat and cheerful. Great for little kids ears. I haven't been able to find a better compilation. My kids love it.
- This collection is quite a pretty good one that even you will enjoy hearing, it seems to definitely have a positive effect on moods. I've noticed that even other adults that happen to be around while it's being played, hum, sing and sway to these tunes. The only two drawbacks according to me are, the music that accompanies some of the songs doesn't sound good at all with those songs and the fact that after the children finish singing several of the songs they make some comment, which actually ruins the end of some of the songs.
- Although it is a very comprehensive collection, I cannot speak very highly of the overall quality of this product. The tunes are very monotonous, it is the same bit for all the songs. I wish there were some variations to the tempo of the songs presented in this collection.

3 comments about Toddler Trio: Toddler Favorites/Playtime Favorites/Silly Favorites.
- As a teacher and educator, I have variety of children's music. These are by far some of the best CD's I have found in a long time. I use it for children of the very young up to Kindergarten and even 1st grade. Children love to be involved and actively engaged. The music is a collaboration of children and adults singing. It has even taken those treasures of long ago, provided a beat that is honestly contagious! As a mother of two older teens and an adult- this would have been a favorite in our house, that I am sure of!
This is one treasure that regardless of whether you are a parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle, teacher, substitute or caregiver - IT IS A MUST HAVE !!! It will be loved forever!
- Lets face it my kid does not get into music. He does The Wheels on the Bus but thats it. He will sometimes dance to this but not really. I shouldn't have wasted my money.
- We bought this cd set because we were looking for some kid's songs for our 18 month-old son, Noah. He gets to hear kid's songs at school and we wanted him to be able to listen to different versions of the same songs at home. He loves all three CDs.
Before dinner is Noah's playtime and he loves us to put these songs on while he is playing with his cars. Sometimes he dances around to the songs. All three of the CDs in this collection are available separately, but the collection is really an outstanding value. I am picky about music (okay, I'm a music snob) and I can actually listen to these tunes without wincing. (Well, most of them anyway.) That says a lot coming from a person who will not let them play Kenny G at daycare for fear of permanent damage to my son's musicality. Is it great music, or great performances? No, but then again it does not need to be, it just needs to *not* be Barney. If you're looking to educate your child about music, get something else. If you're looking for background music to put on when your child is playing, this is a good choice.

1 comments about Reggae For Kids Party Box.
- I had orginally the Reggae for kids first CD when I had my first child. Someone had given it to us as a shower gift. My daughter got peanut butter all over it and so I went online to get another copy because we had loved it so much and in my search I saw that they had a box set with even more Reggae for Kids music! I love all the new songs that we have to play - Car trips are a breeze now. There is one CD that is all movie tunes from Disney movies. For my daughters next Birthday we are going to do a Carribian Themed party so we can play this music. This is a must have for anyone who loves good old reggae and has kids.

5 comments about Ultimate Kids Song Collection: 101 Favorite Sing-A-Longs.
- I read all the great reviews for this CD and bought it. I HATE it! I can not stand to listen to the children on the CD singing off tune. The quality of the singing is so poor. The CD does have many familiar songs (I didn't listen to all 4 disks, I gave up after 3) but I just can't bear this one. My toddler didn't seem so fond of this collection either. I laid all of his CD's out for him, and he has not once chosen to listen to this one after I initially played it for him. He does have many other favorites though. This one really is torture if you care for good music at all.
- Our 23 month old daughter LOVES this set! As soon as she gets into the car seat, she says, "Play my music?!" She bobs her head happily and claps along joyfully. She really enjoys the animal sound effects and the children's voices. She has the first cd memorized already and enjoys singing along to the different songs.
Some parents may find some of the songs annoying, as some of the arrangements may not be as they remember. I tend to skip over some of the "original" songs (playing w/matches, strangers), just because I think they sound too fun for such serious issues.
Overall, this is a good purchase for your child. It brings out the kid in all of us!
- Since I became a new mom, I had bought several CDs of children's songs for my baby. However, most of them are [weak]. So I didn't expect too much from this set of CDs. What a nice surprise, the Ultimate Kids Song Collection is by far my favorite as well as my 1 year old's. Baby loves it and starts bouncing whenever I play the CDs. The set contains 3 CDs with 101 songs (over 3 hours of music). This is quiet a bargain at around [$$] considering the great quality of recording. The performance by the Wonder Kids choir is superb. Also, the songs were recorded in split tracks so you can have karaoke style fun.
- The music on Disc 3 is snappy, upbeat and a pleasure for adults and children. I am a rock-n-roll fan but this is a cool disc. My wife and I will certainly locate and buy the remaining discs in this set.
- Please do not get me wrong. I received this collection as a gift and it is quite comprehensive. However, as an elementary school teacher and mom I have had plenty of experience with the genre. I am a firm believer that children deserve the same (or better) quality as adults do (in music and all other things).
That said, this recording is very inferior. The recordings are of a quality that makes them unpleasant (almost downright irritating) to listen too. The nice melody, rhythm and careful arranging that goes into other recordings is missing here. The end result is considerably less enjoyable, than say a Raffi or even a Barney CD, and there is a whole lot more of it to endure.

4 comments about Dr. Seuss Presents: Greatest Hits.
- Dr. Seuss may lose something without the visuals -- he was one of the most inspired illustrators of his or any time -- but he won't lose too much with Marvin Miller reading him. It's an odd choice at first: the basso-profundo voice of "The Millionaire" (and thousands of cigarette commercials); but he brings precisely the kind of loopy fun these words need -- and he's really adept at the tongue-twists with or without the tape sped up. Of course the good Dr. always had a message, and Miller brings that out too. "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" is, whatever its form, nothing short of a masterpiece.
The one disappointment here is the Songbook. Imagine the real flights of fancy Chabrier or Poulenc would have had with "My Uncle Terwilliger Dances with Bears" or "Happy Birthday to Little Sally Spingel Spungel Sporn"; unfortunately the Dr. merely entrusted them to one Eugene Poddany, an associate of Chuck Jones on his abysmal MGM "Tom and Jerry"s (and the Seuss TV specials), and all he can summon is a moping blah, not helped by the bland studio singing. But this is only one small part of a throughly beguiling set.
Okay sound, though it's obvious these were originally recorded for a budget label (RCA Camden).
- With all the junk out there, it's nice to know that there is good stuff for children to listen too. I don't have kids, but I have many neices and nephews, so, I'm always looking for good gifts to keep them away from the TV. this audio is fantastic. Anything Dr. Seuss is solid.
- This set of cds are the best of Dr Seuss, appropriate for kids and their parents, alike! Narrated skillfully by Marty Gold, this collection of Dr Seuss classics will entrance many youngsters for hours. Originally recorded onto records, then transferred to CD, the stories come to life with sound effects and dialogue that is a joy to listen to. Green Eggs and Ham, for example, brings in a string bass, giving a jazz background to the story. The Sneetches, Yertle the Turtle, If I Ran the Zoo and Horton Hatches the Egg are straight from the printed page--a child can easily follow along in the coresponding book. Bartholemew and the Oobleck in particular, is a treasure--the sound effects and different characters are a delight. The Sleep Book is especially good and wonderful as a last minute story before bed. I listened to this collection on records when I was a kid and was happy to find them on CD. I'll be able to pass these same stories down to my kids!
- I cannot say enough good things about this CD! My kids loves Dr. Seuss books and when I saw this CD I just had to buy it. It is basically a reading of the Dr. Seuss books and is perfect for long car rides. We recently had to take a long car trip and I do not know what I would have done without these CD's. My kids did not ask once if we were there yet, they were to busy listening to these stories!

5 comments about A Holly Jolly Christmas For Kids.
- The signers may not have a perfect training, but it's fun to listen to the songs they tried so hard to sing. It's almost perfect!!
- I bought this hoping to introduce my kids (ages 4 and 6) to some of my favorite holiday songs and was not disappointed. They played it over and over from early December through mid-January and would walk around singing the songs. It really added to the holiday spirit in our house. I especially like the way the songs are divided into silly, classic and religious on the 3 CDs. The only songs missing are the Dreidel song and Feliz Navidad. My only complaint is that many of the songs are sung in a really high key, making it difficult for me (and sometimes even my kids) to sing along. Great purchase, though - worth the price!
- My 11 year old son compained that our Christmas music was boring and depressing (it was all classical instrumental or sung by dead people such as Bing Crosby). I searched for new music on Amazon and found these three CD's. We love them. There are a couple uplifting instrumental songs and the others are sung by children. My partner gets tired of the children's voices, but I think it's perfect.
- We played these cds many times throughout the holidays. They made excellent background music and were so easy to sing-a-long whenever the mood hit.
- This collection is very nice. Children have a beutiful, pleasant and funny voices. And it has all famous songs!

3 comments about Baby's First Bible Songs.
- These CD's are absolutely great for kids. Many of the songs are old familiar ones like "The B-I-B-L-E," "Amazing Grace," and "I'm in the Lord's Army," but they have also included some Christmas carols and other kid's songs that I've never heard. They are not super high budget or quality as far as sound, arrangement, etc., but overall they are not too cheesy or annoying (which I personally find a lot in children's music). I like listening to them with my kids because the songs are uplifting and actually pretty fun and my kids REALLY like them and light up when I put them on. The voices are pleasant and there is enough variety of sound that they don't get bored. I will agree with the other reviewer that some of the songs are very short (only one verse, for example), but I imagine they did that to keep kids' attention. Especially for the price, I highly recommend purchasing this set.
-----
A correction of sorts: My husband contends that they are as annoying as most other kid's C.D.'s, but he still thinks they are great for kids! :)
- This is a 3-CD set. My oldest two children, aged 4 and 2, ask for their music almost every day. Each of the numerous songs are about 60 seconds each. Although I wish they played multiple verses of each song rather than just the first verse, it is still a wonderful addition to our Christian home. We only use two of the three cds. The third is "Now I lay me down to sleep" and has a water-sounding background to the music that we don't especially care for. The other two, "Little Angels Sing Praises" and "Baby's First Songs of Joy" are still well worth the price. Recently, we've started choosing one song and playing it on repeat until the children learn it. At that same time, we pull out their "The Beginner's Bible" and read the corresponding bible story to tie the two together. My children really enjoy putting together the story and the song and then talking about what happened, and possibly acting it out.
- would like to be able to here some of the song on the tape before you buy it .
