  1. You know it is good when the children listening know the words and sing along without you prompting them to.

  2. My son loves this CD, but his father and I love it even more. Even the songs you thought you knew, they've added their own twists to - it's a lot of fun.

  3. Great songs on this CD. Your child will have them memorized quickly and so will you.

  4. My preschool classes love to hear the Veggie Tales songs! They are upbeat and alot of fun to sing and dance to.

  1. I actually ordered this for a friend. The first time I heard this was when my sister had her first child in 1988. She had the cassette. I loved every song. I was a teenager. Later when I was older and had my first child, my sister bought the CD for me. I fell in love with it all over again. My child went to sleep with this CD for his first 3 years. Then I played it for my second child. My children are now 11 and 8. I still have the CD and sometimes listen to it. It brings back wonderful memories. She has such a beautiful, clear voice. I now hope my friend will get the same enjoyment with her first baby.

  2. I got this when my twins were born in 1991 it relaxed them and put them to sleep. I lost the original and was so happy to find it again here. Joanie Bartels voice is so soothing, perfect for singing lullabies.

  3. I am purchasing this for my daughter who is turning 9 next month. Our old cassette has been lost and she misses it. This is a lovely compilation.

  4. This was so easy! I just entered the name of the CD I was looking for, and poof! There it was! It arrived within a week! Awesome service, and it was exactly the CD I was looking for.

  5. This music is really great for soothing crying babies and lulling kids to sleep. My daughter grew up with it and it was her favorite. It makes a good gift.

5 comments about Uni Verse Of Song: French.

  1. This CD instantly became my two-year-old's favourite. He would stand, mesmerized, listening intently. It became quite easy to get him to ask in French to listen to the disk--he was very motivated.

Almost all the songs are good arrangements, though a few are spoiled a bit by corny voices and such--like people barking like dogs to the tune of Happy Birthday and one of the female singers putting on a hick accent for her part in Old MacDonald. Otherwise, the arrangements are quite musical and pleasant for a parent to hear eight gazillion times.

    I heartily recommend this recording!

  2. Very cute cd, our childhood favorites with a French twist! Perfect for the child who is learning English and French!

  3. I think that this CD is so cute! The songs are well chosen favorites and for the most part (Happy Birthday excepted:) really very nicely performed. They alternate between French and English to teach French vocab. They use kids for alot of it and my 17 month old breaks out in a smile when she hears their little voices. It seems to be one of her favorites too.

  4. I found this CD useful for learning French myself and trying to teach my 1 year old son. The English translation is very handy when you are starting out in French and useful for instance while driving or when you are busy and can't refer to the written translations. The music is mostly very nice and some of the tracks are beautiful like "its raining its pouring" and "clair de lune"

As my French progresses I find the constant intrusions in English annoying and I prefer to CDs now that are all in French. Some of the English speaking in the CD is also very cheesy.

  5. This CD is okay for parents who want to teach their children French. But Jean Rene's voice sounds like that of Chuck E Cheese. Mr. Rene probably dressed up in the costume to record this album, so I am not a fan of it. I do not recommend this album to parents who do not like taking their kids to Chuck E Cheese's.

  1. This cd is a porr redition of remakes of good party songs. sorry guys the song artists didn't pull it off.

  2. Artwork makes the buyer believe what they get is music with Goofy - instead what you get is a collection of uninspired, third rate, low budget cover arrangements with equally uninspiring performers - and NO GOOFY - NO MICKEY - NO CHARACTERS AT ALL! - total RIP-OFF! - this is junk and I feel like I just got pick-pocketed by Disney - it is a classic bait and switch; show one thing and switch it for something completely inferior - DON'T BUY THIS!

  3. The cover to the CD shows the Goofy character. However, nothing on the CD package explains what this truly is. What I mean is, with Disney and this CD in particular, you don't quite know what you are getting. Some CDs have the Disney characters singing the lead vocals, others have people singing the lead vocals with vocal overlays by Disney characters, and this CD features no Disney characters singing on it at all, despite the cover illustration being somewhat misleading, if not simply confusing. I would prefer if the label somehow indicated if the songs are sung by characters or not, etc.

This CD features artists imitating popular songs that span decades. These are "adult" songs, not children's songs. The vocals are by artists who sound very much like the original singers, and to that end Disney should be commended. The tracks selected range widely in type of music. I don't necessarily think these are songs that children would be attracted to. For example, if your children like 50's pop, why not listen to entire CDs of 50's pop?

I suggest you browse the tracks on this CD, listen to the samples, and make your decision based on whether you like these songs, or whether you think your children will like these songs. Just realize that the music selected here has nothing to do with Disney movie soundtracks or Disney characters.

  4. This Cd is one piece of hashed out mastery. The relentliss attack of the track spares none. Bling bling'

5 comments about Disney Karaoke, Vol. 3.

  1. As a music teacher, I enjoyed the Disney Karaoke CD. It was fun to listen to and the younger students loved being able to recognize their favorite songs. However, many of the selections were voiced too low for children to sing along with. Specifically, "You've Got a Friend in Me" was very low, and I had to rearrange the song to fit their vocal range. If you sing with the recorded arrangements, be prepared to fix the issue with range by taking it up the octave, or just singing harmony with the extreme low notes. All in all, a fun CD for family singing in the car, but not something for performance or for those who enjoy to sing correctly. The voicing just doesn't work.

  2. The songs are great, but it isn't cd+g, so there are no lyrics on screen.

  3. Disney Karaoke, Vol. 3

This CD is WILL NOT show lyrics on a karaoke screen. It is great if all you want is music. We bought it for a birthday party for my daughter in which karaoke was the main attraction. This CD has a booklet of tiny words with the lyrics. It WILL NOT show up on a karaoke screen. VERY disappointing.

  4. I was extremely disappointed with this KARAOKE CD. Karaoke CDs are supposed to have onscreen lyrics so that people who don't know all the words can sing along with the cd. The background music is all beautiful, but without the onscreen lyrics, I don't use this cd at all when I'm at the karaoke places.

  5. Its not CDG. That means it does not display words on CD Graphics machines. You get a songbok to sing along with the instrumentals.

I did not read the fine print, but marketing something as a Karaoke CD without CD-Graphics today is just misleading. It is an instumental CD with a songbook.

4 comments about Gospel Bible Songs.

  1. I was concerned that the children's bible songs I grew up with would get lost in the shuffle. So when I found this CD I was ecstatic. I am totally satisfied.

  2. My 5 yr old loves this CD, he took it to school and likes to sing along in the car

  3. Bought this for my neice and nephew and they can't get enough of it. They absolutely love it.

  4. We got this CD for my daughter when she was about 6 months old. We really like it, but more importantly she really likes it. It's great to look in the rear view mirror and see her kicking her feet with the music.

A couple of the songs are different from the versions I learned in Sunday School so many years ago, but overall this is a good collection. We are very pleased with it, as is our little girl.

4 comments about Veggie Tales: Bob and Larry's Campfire Songs.

  1. My 4-year-old loves music and the Veggie Tales cd's are some of his favorites. He has listened to this one many times and it hasn't gotten old yet. He goes around the house singing many of these songs on his own, too. There's a nice variety of songs, including some action songs. I haven't gotten tired of this cd yet, either. We highly recommend it!

  2. This CD starts with the whole Veggie group hiking out to their campsite. Although the first song is an older Veggie tales song, its placement works well and is the only song on the CD that isn't newly introduced. The second song is pure genius. Stop, Drop, and Roll gets all 5 of my kids boogieing down to essential fire safety tips. The songs that follow range from tender hymns praising God's great creations (done by the French peas) to zany tunes of ridiculousness all graced with clean humor. We really dig the Marshmallow Song. This CD is guaranteed to enrich any family's afternoon at home, trip to the store, or future campfire night sing-a-longs!

  3. I have two young grandkids that love to dance to these songs. One is 18 months old and the other is almost 4 years old. What I love about these songs is that they are also teaching about the Bible and you can never start children to soon.

  4. This is my favorite Veggie Tales Sing-Along CD - and I'm the adult! There's lots of corny fun and humor to be had between and during the songs. The sideline comments made during "On Top of Old Smokey" are hilarious. I love playing this CD during road trips. Oh, and my 21-month old son likes it too. I can see his imagination going in his mind's eye as he hears Bob and Larry sing and talk. It's all classic Veggie Tales fun. This is a must have for any Veggie Tales fan.

5 comments about Warm and Tender.

  1. I have twin girls, now almost 12. Catherine Grace and Olivia Joy listened to this CD every night for the first year of their life--and have seen many, many of Liv's concerts. They own two of Liv's earrings (Olivia herself has one set; we have the other sets). Nothing like getting a cell call from her secretary or an honor or letters or a call during church choir. Hooray!

  2. I've been waiting for a long time to hear Olivia sing some classic standards and she does it with such grace and artistry. Her rendition of YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE is one of the best I've ever heard. Heartfelt and sincere. WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR has never sounded better. This is a gorgeous CD with lush arrangements and Olivia has never sounded better.

  3. With her flawless, crystal clear voice full of emotion Olivia delivers one of her most beautiful, though under-rated, projects of her stellar career. Stunningly arranged, orchestrated, and sung this album presents timeless standards such as The Way You Look Tonight, Twelfth of Never, and an exquisite version of Over the Rainbow. Though intended to be a "lullaby" album, which it completely succeeds at being, one wishes Olivia would have dropped such songs as the child friendly Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for more pop classics. Other stand-out selections are You'll Never Walk Alone, Jenny Rebecca, When You Wish Upon a Star, and the adult contemporary Reach Out For Me. Olivia closes the set with just a tease of the Brahms Lullaby which will make you take a deep breath, close your eyes and wish for more, more, more...a lovely, stunning collection of songs sung by a truly great singer.

  4. I've loved Olivia's voice since grade school. She shines on this album. Singing many children's favorites and old standards, her voice is smooth, silky, and soothing throughout. This is a perfect nocturnal selection, and it's a superb and thoughtful choice for any mother-to-be or new mother.

  5. I have always been a huge sucker for a relaxing lullaby, as well as uplifting childrens music. While I don't have any children of my own yet, I enjoy providing care for little ones at my church and this is a CD that I would definitely keep in the nursery. The first song - Jenny Rebecca - was the only one that I was not fond of. Being a fan of Olivia Newton John's performance in "Grease" it was interesting and wonderful to hear her voice in such a "Warm and Tender" environment.

5 comments about Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea.

  1. When I first saw the movie, the music in it impressed me much. Then I decided to buy this soundtrack.
I was so excited that Jodi Benson returned in the music in Little Mermaid's sequel, her voice always intertain me much! The song "For A Moment" is which I love best. I can feel the happiness of a new mermaid, how Ariel missed her daughter, and something more. "Tip & Dash" is comical, and Melody's voice is so sweet and cute. "Down to the Sea" and "Here on the Land and Sea" are not very different from each other, cheerful and inspiring. The songs that Sebastian performed are not as good as the songs from the movie, and I can't figure out why they were recorded in this soundtrack. However, the songs "Iko, Iko, Iko" and "Give A Little Love" are good.
This soundtrack is not complete. Firstly, the songs from the movie haven't been completely recorded in the soundtrack, the end title "Part of Your World" was so beautiful, but why it's not here? And the Chinese edition has not only the end title but also 2 other songs that Sebastian sang. Secondly, there's no scores in this soundtrack, but thought the scores in the movie are not very exceptional, I wish this soundtrack could be complete.

  2. What a good soundtrack!"For a moment"is my favourite!Tara Charendoff 's voice was so good and sweet, but I like Jodi Benson's voice better. The three or four songs of Sabastian are good too.Ilove"Give a little love".In my opinion,it's the best of the four.

  3. I loved this soundtrack! It was just as good as the original. From the heartwarming songs "For a Moment" and "Down to the Sea" to the exciting "Titanic Tip and Daring Dash", the soundtrack and the movie were both excellent. I would recommend both of these to people of all ages.

  4. it was a great cd that everybody needs to own. the song titanic tip and daring dash has u singing along without realizing u r. any age group can see the movie and here the songs on it and love it

  5. I watched the movie two times, and I liked " Titanic Tip and Daring Dash." That song ROX! There are some songs that were boring and not too good for me, like " Here on the Land and Sea", and " For a Moment." That's why I rated it 4 starz. But they still have great songs there!

5 comments about A Christmas Together.

  1. I grew up with this album. It is the best. I am so glad that I was able to "upgrade" to the cd, my cassette tape was so warbly. John Denver had such an amazing voice. Christmas is a time to come together, and the story of the Christmas tree are my favorites along with Miss Piggy singing the Twelve days of Christmas.

  2. I have had this in various forms since in my late 20's (am ever so much older now) and it still remains one of my all time favorites. I used to sing my now 27-yr. old daughter to sleep with some of the songs, and trimming our tree wouldn't be the same without it. It contains the only version of 12 Days of Christmas that I can tolerate...

  3. John Denver and the Muppets is one of the best christmas CDs out there. It is focused on the under 10 audience, but it definitely can be enjoyed by listeners of all ages.

  4. I grew up listening to the "John Denver and the Muppets Christmas Together" CD and have always loved it. This year I couldn't find mine so I decided to order a new one. While I was at it I ordered a few extras for my daughter to give them to her little friends as Christmas presents. Well, they arrived quickly, the price was great, but I was somewhat disappointed when I realized this CD is missing some of the original songs-some of my favorites. I'm not sure why they aren't on this disc, it was a really short cd without them. So, the songs that are on it are great-I would give them 5 stars, but the length of the CD and the missing songs are what make me give it only 3 stars.

  5. This is the only Christmas Album that I will listen to during the holidays. My brother and I burned through 2 vinyls of this and I have been trying to lay my hands on the CD for years.

This album has some of the most beautiful original Christmas music as well as funny and good versions of classics. Recommended to anyone who has children or who watched the Muppet Show as children.
