- This CD is a cool collection of Silly Songs. This one still does not resemble the Funny Bone album but this collection is a great package.

2 comments about Toy Story 2: Read-Along.
- I owned one of these and am buying another one. My son is a toy story addict. He broke the CD by accident and used the tape until it wore thru. For any kid who likes the READ-ALONG tapes this is a MUST HAVE!
Not only can you use the CD in your computer as a book on the computer but you can also play it in your regular CD player. There is a cassette too for those time when a CD player is not available. This is a very versitile set. It is not an inter-active computer storybook- just a read along book but it is still fun for the kids who like to read but just aren't quite old enough to do it by themselves yet.
- When I opened this and popped it in the computer I was pretty disappointed. I didn't realize it when I bought it but it is NOT an Animated Storybook. The still pictures hardly keep my daughters attention. Kid's like things that move and this storybook has minimal movement. The other disappointment was that it is narrated by one person instead of the original character voices. These things have meant that mine will be sitting and collecting dust. It was a complete waste of my money.

1 comments about How Grinch Stole Christmas / Read-Along.
- I bought this CD for our very active - short attention span- 3 year old grandson. Well, it was the hit of his Christmas! While at our house he wanted it played over and over. While at his materal grandparents he was very upset that their computer would not run the graphics. On the way back to his home ( 2 states away) he wanted the cassette tape played over and over. He finally fell asleep. Do you know how his parents loved that. Upon arrival home, he ran to his Dad's computer and asked to view the CD. Believe me, if this CD and cassette entertain our grandson it will entertain anyone's son or grandson of this age!! I give this CD the highest rating and it does not cost a fortune to buy.

5 comments about Christmas with the Chipmunks.
- Please note to get instead the new great sounding Capitol 2007 release which has all 24 songs plus one bonus and is very reasonably priced. The 2006 version has a recording flaw. This is a classic Christmas album that should be FULLY enjoyed and the 2007 is the best version out there!
- CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHIPMUNKS is an album that includes a mixture of songs from the first two original Christmas Chipmunk albums. When listening to Christmas music each year (or if you're like me, throughout the year) there are certain songs that have to be played. "The Chipmunk Song" is one of those and it's found here along with a variety of high-pitched tunes. Besides "The Chipmunk Song" I was especially impressed by the version of "White Christmas" and the beat-nick rendition of "The Night Before Christmas". Though there are some Chipmunk Christmas songs lacking (such as "The Twelve Days of Christmas"), CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHIPMUNKS is a fine album to own and makes a nice place to start down your trip on memory lane.
- We all love the Chipmunks. Having one of their Xmas albums handy during the holiday season is a MUST! However, this is not the album to buy. There are lots of them floating around.
I think there are really two Chipmunks Xmas songs which are THE classics: The Chipmunk Song (obviously) and their take on the Twelve Days of Christmas. Inexplicably, the 12 Days of Xmas is not on this album. So I would go back, find an album with both of these classics and buy that one.
- I've been a fan of these songs since they first came out in '62 & '63. But when I look at a repackage like this, I wonder... WHY? This contains 10 songs grabbed seemingly at random from the 2 original albums, and features the cover art from the 2nd album with a new (and less-appealing) lettering than on the originals. Wouldn't it have made more sense to just put ALL 24 songs in the proper sequence and issue a "twofer"? My suggestion is, if this is your thing, skip this, go for the originals (but buyer beware-- this is not the only inexplicable repackage of this material out there!).
- These are the Christmas songs that remind me of being a kid waiting for Santa Claus. Hearing Alvin, Simon & Theodore sing "The Chipmunk Song" makes me feel good. There is just something about harmony, even if it is done by speeding up a recording, that I happen to like. Of course, it is hard for the Chipmunks to sing all of these songs without Alvin feeling the urge to cause a little trouble. But it is not a Chipmunks album if David Seville is not yelling "ALVIN!" at some point. Little kids also love it when Rudolph joins in with the singing "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer." It is also rather touching to hear Seville do an earnest rendition of "White Christmas." If you grew up on the Chipmunks, then this one will bring back memories.

- When I got my CD I played it right away. I bought it for my class I was going to be teaching since they are the perfect age for it and they loved it. I will let everyone know thatthis is the best CD to buy if you have little children, teach school, or just want to inspire your faith. These are songs I heard and knew when I was little and I am very excited to finally have them all on CD. So what are you waiting for??? BUY THIS CD!!!
- We bought this CD for our 5 year old and she loves it! It has a great selection of bible songs that teach and entertain at the same time. And kids love to dance to this stuff! And best of all it is tolerable for adult ears, even long car rides. But with the choice of three different CD's you can pick the mode of music you want. We highly recommend this for any religious family, or a family new to the Bible for teaching their child about Christianity, good manners, and Bible beliefs!

5 comments about Baby's First Songs From Around the World.
- So many people have brought up the mary jane in one of the songs, that I just thought I'd mention -- not all of the songs on this CD even HAVE lyrics. The first two, for example, are instrumentals.
- They say "marijuana" on here! That's all you need to know! These people are obviously terrorists! They're murderous drug fiends! They want to destroy America! Run! Hide!
Hey but at least the cockroach isn't shaking her fake boobies and thrusting her pierced belly button in your face, eh?
But anyhow, never ever share your marijuana with a baby. They are total bogarts.
- The quality of the music is good. However, there are several mistakes in the origin of some songs. For instance, Guantanamera is from Cuba, not from Spain. The Brazilian song (Es Para Ti) is not from Brazil. But the worst thing is the version of that popular Mexican song, 'La Cucaracha'.
The lyrics are saying the following:
La cucaracha, la cucaracha,
ya no puede caminar,
porque le falta, porque no tiene
marihuana pa' fumar.
The English translation for that would be:
The cockroach, the cockroach
can no longer walk
because she doesn't have
marijuana to smoke.
Do you mothers honestly think that this is the kind of vocabulary we'd like our kids to learn, and dance to?
I don't think that's precisely the vocabulary that we'd like young kids and babies to learn. And it's sad that companies are selling products that are not being reviewed before sending them to the market. People that doesn't have the ability of understanding foreign languages cannot understand what's being said in the song. I bought the CD for a friend's of mine's little boy. My friend doesn't speak Spanish, but she was still able to understand that marijuana was being mentioned. As I do speak Spanish as first language, she asked me to confirm her what she thought she understood. I felt very embarrased when I found out that she was right.
It's a shame. I'd not recommend anyone to buy these CD, at least not for kids.
- I am a mother of two and an early childhood educator so I listen to a lot of children's music. I gave this CD a rating of four stars because though it has wonderful beats on it and seems to be diverse i feel the company should have left "la Cucaracha" from MEXICO out of this cd or changed the words to be more child appropriate. There is a verse in this song that repeats various times that references smoking marijuana. My children are both bilingual in english/spanish and think "the wiggles" version of this song is funny. I feel as if the song promotes drug use and is not a positive value that i would like to instill in my child or others.
- As a first time parent I want to give my child every advantage I can. Studies have shown that playing music to your child helps to enhance their learning ability.
I saw "Baby's First" cd series and as they were so affordable I decided to go ahead and buy them without hearing them first. My decision has been rewarded! The cd's are very good, and provide hours of music to stimulate my babies mind. Buy this CD today, you won't be disappointed, and neither will your youngsters! :)

- This is a good CD as far as the content of the CD, BUT whoever made this CD had no consideration of the recording levels between tracks. One song will be nice a smooth and quiet, then the next track will blow you away. It literally wakes up my child after he has fallen asleep. Out of a volume scale of 10 we have the first song on 5 to barely have it playing in the background for him to sleep, then the next track we have to turn it to 2 becasue it wakes him up, then we have to adjust it to 4 on the next. SOOOO if you are going to stay with him the whole time and be able to change the volume for each song, this CD is for you. I wish I can get my money back but it has been too long. Sooo on to find the next CD for him!...

- This was mostly an enjoyable CD. Maybe more to me than my toddler, though. Some of the songs are almost depressing, so we just skip them. For the most part they are fun and upbeat, and with a little effort, I can get my 18 month old to wiggle his butt to the music. This CD is a great value for anyone who wants to foster an appreciation for music in their child, not just their babies.
- I have owned and played this CD ever since my son was born!(he is now 2.5 yrs. old)
The music always seemed to soothe him when he was crying or agitated. Over the past couple of years it has worked wonders..it has now become the "if nothing else works" CD. It Always helps him to calm down at nap time. Helps him concentrate when we are reading together. Sometimes if I have some important work to do, it helps him stay calm and non-disruptive. I had read about the positive effects of classical music on children, and I must say, I totally agree. I am also a violin player, and really have respect for classical music, so it gives me a satisfaction that I am giving my son some quality, mind-strengthening music. If you like classical or not, this CD is excellent for your children, and indirectly it will be good for you too! It is an excellent gift for new parents too. One piece of advice I would like to give to those of you who are not really familiar with classical music. If the sound is new to you, listen to this at a low volume, because the soft music may suddenly swith to loud full-on sounds, so if it's up high, it may surprize you! Hope your children enjoy it!
