1. I was born in Canada, and I grew up with this music. I still remembered 'Peanut, peanut butter--Jelly!' decades after I'd heard the song, not to mention the immortal 'One Elephant, Deux Elephants', and it was therefore a given that I would buy the Greatest Hits album for my own son as soon as he was old enough to appreciate it.
   
   It has been wonderful sharing these songs with my son, and to see how much he enjoys them, singing along with the traditional songs he recognizes as we tool along the highway. I love Sharon, Lois and Bram's infectious enthusiasm and obvious pleasure in singing these sweet, silly songs, and I swear I have never heard a better version of 'She'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain' than the one on this CD. 'Skinamarinky' (which I probably can't spell) is exactly as I remembered it, and just as wonderful. How better to tell your little one, 'I love you'?



2. this 2 cd set ( make sure you get a 2 cd set that is made in CANADA) that is where the group is from, and that is where their original recodrings live. original import 2 CD set gives you endless hours of songs that you can sing with your child, or he/she can have fun alone. the songs just "draw you in". We have a large collection of kids music - over 200, ans Sharon, Lois and Bram Cds are by far THE BEST. Next best is another Artist from CANADA - Fred Penner.

3. Based on many of my reviews most people would think I'm nuts reviewing a preschool kids album. However, I found this haphazardly while surfing and decided it needed reviewed.
   
   Back in the day (well, a few decades ago), I had a cassette of Sharon, Lois, and Bram. Much to my surprise this contains most of the songs on it plus more. My personal favorite was "Peanut Butter and Jelly" (my mother still sings this to herself--yes, it does sink in on the older crowd, too) and I can honestly say this is one of those albums I'd stick in with the Disney film favorites and Disney For Our Children under that category of "must buy for children someday".
   
   Now that it's two discs there should be much more quality music than I ever heard on the cassette player in my mom's old Honda Accord. Trust me--the car is the best place to play this and all childrens albums when they're around.

2. My 3 year old son LOVES this CD; the kid's in his daycare room dance around w/ such joy, especially to "Barbie Girl" and the "Electric Slide" Songs. This CD is very popular w/ the pre-schoolers!



3. I bought this CD...near me to have a fresh copy of the song which I already had on a cassette by...My daughter wanted it for a talent show at her school. The vocals on the new CD were not at all like her cassette, and we were very disappointed in the lessened upbeat feeling from this version. The other music on this CD was okay, except for the first song, which I personally didn't care for at all. Had I known the lack of quality in this version, I never would have purchased it!



4. I bought this thinking the songs were recorded by the original artists. They are not, done by some band called the Hit Crew. Get Greatest Hits of the 50s (Box Set) instead. It has the original recordings, including Witch Doctor.

1. My son always asks for this in the car and loves to sing along when he can. My favorite part about this CD is that my husband admitted he loves one of the songs on here and always skips ahead to that one!!



2. Although we have been listening to this CD every time we are in the car (this CD and Blue's Big Musical CD are the only CDs my 2 year old son will listen to)for the past two months--we love it! I can't decide who enjoys it more--me or my son! While many kids' CDs are painful for the parents to listen to, this one keeps getting better and better (as does Blue's Big Musical). I highly recommend it!



3. My 2 year old son has all 4 Blue's Clues cds and he like this one the most. The songs make him get up and dance, and the lady who plays the part of grandma sounds like the singer, Jewel. She has a very pretty voice. The only Blue's Clues Cd that I wouldn't necessarily buy again would be "Goodnight Blue". It's fine, but too slow...not upbeat enough for playtime. The other 3 Blue's Clues titles are superior to "Goodnight Blue" in my opinion. "Blue's Big Treasure" is our 1st choice of the 4 if you are purchasing your 1st Blue's Clues cd.



4. My 2 year old son loves Blue and only Blue!! He also loves music, so when I came across the blue's clue's music, we couldn't resisit. We were not disappointed! I love the music as much as he does; I find myself singing along all time! The music is very well written and will keep even the pickiest parents jammin' in the car with their kids!! We also have "goodnight, blue" and it is wonderful, but beware: it makes even me drowsy when listening to it in the car!!



5. A lot of things are marketed to kids that aren't very good. In contrast, every product I have seen that ties in with Blue's Clues seems thoughtful, educational and of high quality -- the same goes for this CD.

   Adaptations are made to play out a Blue's Clues game as an audio exercise rather than visually, and this is done in a clever way. All of the original series' voices are used, including Steve Burns and Traci Paige Johnson for Steve and Blue. Many of the series' characters make an appearance: Slippery Soap, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper, Tickety Tock, Mailbox, and Shovel & Pail, among others.

   With 12 songs, the CD is relatively short, but not overly so -- a good length for young children. In addition, the CD has a detachable section that folds out to about 11" by 11" and shows the outside of Steve and Blue's house; seven stickers are included (Blue, Tickety, Slippery, Shovel, Pail, Mailbox and a snail) that can be placed and replaced on the glossy surface. A nice touch from a class outfit.

   As usual, a high quality product from the Blue's Clues team.
