5 comments about Walt Disney Records : Children's Favorite Songs, Vol. 1 : 25 Classic Tunes.
- My daughter and I listen to this CD nearly every time we get in the car. She loves that the songs are ones she can sing along with.
- We love this CD. The voices that sing the songs are pleasant and the songs are ones my kids love. They listen to this CD every night as they go to bed.
- On long trips this was the ticket. I'd remember this more than all the sights, sounds, and people. Finding it on CD has brought back childhood memories. These are the songs, of classic origin, and timeless for all generations!
- For some reason this morning 'Ten Little Indians' was in my head. I called my mom to ask her if she remembered what the record was she used to play for me when I was little that had 'Ten Little Indians' on it. She said it was a Disney record and she immediately started singing 'It Ain't Gonna Rain No More No More, It Ain't Gonna Rain No More...'. I got online to track down the record and thankfully Amazon has it! I played some of the samples for my mom over the phone and it was a kick! I ordered the CD right away. It brings back great memories and I can't wait for my daughter to learn the songs so we can sing them together!
- I liked this CD very much and sang to the songs myself since a lot of them were ones that I enjoyed as a child. But my song preferd my other CDs which I listen to on a normal basis. I bought this and #2 for my car so we could enjoy it while we drove a long distance to my parents house but he didnt show any interest. Maybe over time he will learn to enjoy??

5 comments about Songs in French for Children.
- Good product but I would have liked to have had the words to the songs in English and French.
- The songs are sung by adult singers, not a children's choir, and the voices are beautiful. That's why I can use the CD for beginning learners of French in a college classroom.
The songs are not just sung, one after the other. They are also a little bit acted out, with the interjection of voices and animal sounds that can be funny, instead of embarassing, to young adults. The CD is not just kids singing children's songs. It has more surprises, is more playful, a bit funny, so that kids and adults can enjoy it.
Good selection of songs. Nothing primitive or basic about it.
- I used to be fluent in French 25 years ago and I'm now trying to bring it back from the depths of my brain in order to teach it to my pre-schooler.
This CD is soooo pleasant to listen to that I can't get enough of it. We listen to it in the car and while I'm working at the computer. The songs are so cheerful and catchy that you just have to sing along! I highly recommend it!
- I bought this CD to introduce my daughter to French. I am a French teacher but I find it unnatural to speak to her in French (I am not a native speaker, and never spoke it at home) so I needed a way to bring French into our everyday interaction. Believe it or not, but I started playing this CD to my daughter when she was only two months old. For a month straight, all we did was sing and dance to this CD, and now that she is six months old, she still loves it. Her face lights up when the first song (her favorite) starts to play. When I am changing her diaper or getting her dressed and she is fussing at the changing table, all I have to do is press play on the CD player in her room and she starts to laugh and coo. I highly recommend this CD, but you must find the words to all the songs online if you don't know them or can't decipher them because there are no lyrics with this CD. Definitely learn the words and sing along because the songs are great and babies love to hear you sing!
- This is an absolutely wonderful CD. One that I wish I'd had when my son was a baby. It has many of the traditional songs that I remember my french mother singing to me as a child. Don't worry about not recognizing the songs, even a first time listener will recognize "Old Mc Donald Had a Farm" and "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf" I particularly enjoyed this CD because even thoough these are children's songs, they are not sung in a way that caters to children (ex The Wiggles, The Chipmuncks etc...). My only complaint is that having the lyrics to refer to would've been nice as I don't remember all the words anymore and will have to listen a few times before I can get them down. I think this would be an enjoyable CD for people who understand French as well as for those who do not.

- I didn't know my standards were so high until now. I guess I got spoiled with the Disney cds since they are so well done because I just cannot stomach the bad singing on this cd. Even the adult singers are just plain awful! I really wish I had listened to a sample first. UGH! Save yourselves!
- These CD's are awful. The people that are singing sound very weird and scary. It is a really, really awful bunch of CD's. Buy something else.
- I've purchased other music CD's for children. This is by far my 20 mo. old daughter's favorite! We had this CD for less than 24 hours when she was attempting to sing along. She hadn't responded like this with any other CD. When she hears the children singing on the CD, she beams and says, "Baby singing!" I also love that it is easy to actively participate with the songs. There's plenty of silliness too. I can see how this CD would be a hit with daycare providers. The music and singing is rich and creative.
- This is the most annoying children's CD we have purchased. After each song is sung, it is repeated by a child. Do yourself a favor and buy Cedarmont Kids Toddler Tunes instead. Just note that they include some religous songs in the mix.
- We were driving a good many miles, and I thought of this CD in the middle of a tantrum. It saved our sanity. No the singer is not perfect, but it is an interesting voice, and she does add a lot of kids to the mix, so all in all it worked great.

5 comments about Walt Disney Records : Children's Favorite Songs, Vol. 2 : 25 Classic Tunes.
- I was looking for some children's music that my toddler and I could sing along to. This is perfect. Not a sugary-sweet voice, but someone actually singing songs.
- Lordy, how I detest the Disney machine. So much skill, so little taste.
Here's what I think you'd want in a collection of songs aimed at young and maybe not so young children: bland arrangements, erring on the peppy side; a friendly, enthusiastic singer who obviously enjoys the songs (think Burl Ives); children's favorites.
Here's what you get on disc 2 of Disney's collection: bland arrangements erring on the extra bland; a crooner with a voice like yogurt who is just putting in his day at the office; and, of course, from Disney, some corporate trash.
In this case, three "favorite" songs that the children have never heard before because they're new; and will never become favorites because they are dull, wordy and impossible for young children to sing.
You can just hear the ghost of Walt whispering in the ear of the producer (Jymn Mogan), "Throw in some extra crap, the parents will pay for it and the dumb clucks won't know any better."
Disney didn't tamper with the lyrics as much as I had expected, but what sort of idiot changes "am" to "is" is "Polly Wolly Doodle"?
- The first volume of this collection is better known. I'd listen to these on cassette, while on long medical trips, such a smart move MOM!
Volume two has few songs I'm sure in my 25 plus year life I have never heard.
I must credit Disney for keeping these songs in familiar territory, without changing melody, yet adding sound effects to make a child more likely to be interested in.
Into days society the simple idea of having down time, with family, is becoming more, and more a rarity. While there will forever be some sort of music [being played], from records to tapes, cds, and now MP3 there should by family togetherness!
- There is no better way for me to bring music back to summer camp than by using this CD to pave the way. I listened to these songs when this was originally released on record when I was a child. The first time I heard this albulm on CD, I was amazed at myself because I STILL new all of the words! Listening to Larry sing was calming and comforting, making me feel safe, like a child again. I can't wait to expose the children at summer camp to these wonderful versions of classic songs!
- I liked this CD very much and sang to the songs myself since a lot of them were ones that I enjoyed as a child. But my song preferd my other CDs which I listen to on a normal basis. 5 comments about The Mozart Effect: Music For Babies: Nighty Night.
- I purchased this for my new grandaughter and my daughter thinks its great for naptime. She said the music is lovely and very relaxing.
- Purchased this for my 7 month old grandbaby...she loves it and she puts herself to sleep while listening to it, nice long playing time...much better than the 5 to 15 minute wind up or push button crib mobile/toys. Very soothing and gentle. Highly recommend
- Our 3 month old daughter loves music, and I have several classical CDs that we use at night for her, but this one is my favorite. When we put her in the crib and turn the CD on, you can actually see her calming down and drifting off to sleep. Even when she's wide awake and we put her down, the music seems to work its magic. She'll lie there, eyes open, but she doesn't cry because she's too busy listening to it. Within 15 minutes, she'll be asleep. My husband jokes that it works too well because it makes him want to sleep while he's still holding her!
- I gave this as a Christmas present, and with all the noise and lights of the party my 9 mo. old nephew couldn't get to sleep. It was way past his bed time and all he could do was cry. So, his father put in the cd and the baby's body relaxed in his mothers arms, he blinked a few times, took a deep breath and went fast asleep in the middle of the party.
Everyone was pleasently stunned.
- My 1 yr old daughter was actually scared of this CD the few times I have played it at bedtime. I think were I went wrong was if you are goign to get your baby to listen to bedtime music do it from day one. I waited way to long! Good CD though and I think it would help sooth to sleep if my daughter was younger.

- I had the cassette when I was a little girl... my mom said I used to go to sleep to it every night. The cassette lasted for my younger sister. 20 some odd years later I still have it, although I don't have a cassette player so since I'm expecting a little girl of my own I just had to buy this one and the rest of the series... OMG listening to the samples brings back sooooo many happy memories and I still remember all of them enough to sing along - I'm giddy! I loved these songs soooo much and I know my baby will too.
- This was a gift, but I understand that both the kids and adults are enjoying singing along. They said that the song selection is fun and nostalgic. Everything is familiar and easy to follow along.
- These selections are excellent kids' songs. I bought all 4 for my daughter and she loves them. I personally think the 3rd one is the best among the 4. The voice of the singer is very pleasnant and soothing. I would highly recommend to anybody.
- I listened to those songs on a tape when I was in elementary school. I got the tape for Christmas, but I don't remember what happened to it.
- I was so happy to find that I could buy these cd's (volumes 1-4). I had volumes 1-3 growing up and LOVED them. Every toddler cd that I bought for my own child just wasn't the same... I was always disappointed, until I found these! I am just thrilled to be able to enjoy these songs again, with my own daughter. These songs are so much fun and are easy to catch on to and sing along with.

5 comments about Disney Baby Lullaby: Favorite Sleepytime Songs for Baby and You.
- I first heard this music in 1995 when visiting my sister. She would play it everynight for my niece when she went to bed and it was beautiful. This version of "When You Wish Upon A Star" is the best I have ever heard. When my sister-in-law became pregnant, I knew I had to get this tape for them so I went on a hunt and was so happy to find it here. I have no children of my own but this tape stayed in my head for 13yrs. - I think that says something.
- This CD has the perfect quite pace for night night time. My daughter loves to fall asleep to music and this CD is the perfect length and better yet, when she's not going to sleep the songs a familiar and she's learning the words!
- I was disappointed. Thought that the songs would be the originals as heard in the movies.
- Very nice to listen to. One song called, "Dreams Are the Flowers" is quite beautiful. However, track #3 is too loud and country for my taste. The CD begins softly and easy to listen to and then boom! this man's voice comes on strong. It's no big deal and we listen to it in the car a lot.
- I really love this album. It has all the good songs on it with a different singer on each one; both male and female. I play it each time my baby goes to sleep and it helps a great deal.

5 comments about Classic Disney: 60 Years of Musical Magic.
- I was 67 years old , when I began listening to these wonderful Disney songs. And when the last song ended, it seemed that I lost 50 years. I believe that this wonderful music brings back old wonderful memories that is like true magic. Alas my hair has now turned black , and all my wrinkles are now gone away. Also just chased my wife around Southern California. She told me to stop listening because she said she can't keep with me anymore. I owe it all to these 5 magical albums.
- There really isn't anything else that can be said for this awful box set full of meaningless gobbledock and inane twee that's arranged from sounds. Disney music is the worst thing that music has ever experienced. kidz bop may be something that comically states the downfall of music even worse. soulja boy is there for me when I feel crappy, because I realise that people just suck worse at life than I do. I take sadist laughs at people who listen to Nickelback. All of those others are so crappy you can't just help and laugh at them.
But not for Disney. There's nothing funny about this. It's grave. Grave my friend. It's not like disney ever had the potential to be nothing more than a horrible company the day that idiot walt disney founded his _______ dream, but the biggest failure was even trying to touch music. Maybe if he would have realized that his taste in picking composers is lame. How does disney keep messing up music anyway?
Anyway, disney music fails for a lot of reasons. Let's debunk it with the music first. The generic orchestra, irritating, timid music, it's so twee it makes me barf. It's very boring, actually. It's mearly short comed as it's just there because it has to be. Yeah, lot's of the music I listen to has the same kind of thing. But the reason why it's good is because of the vocals, the lyrics.
Ah, the lyrics. Awful. Nonsensical, twee, twee, and twee. This stuff is so damn forced and twee that it makes anybody cringe. It makes sense, because it's supposed to. There's no confrontation, there's no realism. A whole new World, sorry, but love ain't just that. It's a beautiful, complex thing, not a twee thing. I hate the way, and it just gets on my nerves.
Of course, this is disney, and it's millions of browbeaten followers will defend such garbage that anybody that's not spoiled sees right through. Oh well. You poons.
----/10
- This collection of Disney music is perfect for any Disney fan. My family loves Disney, and this couldn't have been better to get for our drives to our favorite home away from home. Our daughter listens to it in her room all of the time. If you love Disney, you will love this collection.
- I bought this for my daughter and I to sing along with in the car. It has all of our favorites and then some. If you can find a copy of the set you won't be disappointed! I'm here now looking for a replacement since mine have long since been scratched to death after many many hours of heavy rotation.
- This collection has almost every song from every Disney distributed moved up to 1995. Each cd contains around 25 songs. I purchased this collection as a gift for a niece of mine and she loves it (I must admit I got a big kick out of it too). If you're concerned about young children watching too much tv/dvds yet want them to enjoy music this is a definitely a product worth looking at.

- I have 6 of these kiddie CD's in the car and my 19 month old son "sings" along and dances in his seat. He loves them!
- This is a great collection just for the songs themselves. Even better, the whole song is included, not just a verse or maybe two. And the lyrics are clear, important for aging memories. I look forward to sharing the whole set with my grandchildren.
- My daughter (11) and nephews (8, 1) all love this CD. The older kids have fun singing & dancing with the baby, and the baby loves to listen to the CD by himself as well.
- My kids love these volumes of Children's Favorite Songs, as do I. The arrangements and voicings are child friendly without being dull.
- Great songs on this CD. Nice variety, wonderful singers. My grandchildren want it on in the car every time we go out. Lots of old favorites that I like too.

5 comments about Baby Einstein: Baby Mozart.
- I am so glad to add Baby Mozart to my Baby Einstein collection. I listen to this CD and my Baby Bach daily. A must have for your little one.
- I bought this CD for my yet unborn daughter, played it for her to listen to whilst in the womb.
As a result of my love for classical music; after playing it,I ended up in love with it myself.
The only let down is that the written language on the CD is in Spanish and not English which I Speak.
- My baby loves the baby einstein movies (3 months old) and this uses the music from the baby Mozart video, so he recognizes it and laughs and plays while listening!
- I have this playing in our daughters room all the time - usually while I am nursing or we are sitting on the floor reading books. Very nice music to have on low in the background.
- The Baby Mozart music CD's are perfect for my infant daughter. She listens to them during the day and the lullabies at night while going to bed. I would recommend these products to any parents with young infants.
