1. After purchasing this book I was able to repair both front and back brakes and put on a new rear tire. Doing my own work with the assistance of the step-by-step directions in this book helped me save many dollars in repair bills. When putting your machine back together, this book points out any little quirks that you might run into when you reverse the order of the steps you took in the tear-down. This is much better than other repair manuals that simply say- reverse the steps- or some such.
   
   All fluid levels and tolerance are listed in easy-to-find tables. The book is divided up into sections that make it easy to find whatever area of repair or maintenance you are focusing on. The blown up diagrams clearly labeled and described in the text are a real plus.
   
   A must have for the owner of this classic machine who is also a do-it-yourself type of person too.

1. This is a great book for someone who loves working on cars/motorcycles. If you've used a Haynes Repair Manual for your car, you know you'll expect the same great detail from this book too. The only drawback in this book (as is in most Haynes books) is that there aren't many basic explanations on components. I would highly recommend "The Essential Guide to Motorcycle Maintenance" by Zimmerman to augment this repair manual. This book will give you an insight on the workings of the motorcycle so you know how the stuff works when you use the Haynes repair manual.

1. Whenever I purchase a motorcycle, whether it be new or used, the next thing on my shopping list is always a service manual. I have purchased probably 10+ Clymer manuals and found them to be very well written with very good pictures and illustrations and easy to use. I do all my own work on my bikes and have done for 40+ years, but the manuals are easy to understand for an expert or novice mechanic.
   I did find one error in the manual on page 235 in table 2 which gives drive train and sprocket specs. The listing for the DRZ400SM model, which is what I have, in incorrectly listed as 15/44, when in fact it is 15/41. I did notify Clymer and they said they would correct it in the next printing. This was just a monor error and I still highly recommend their manuals.



2. It is exactly what I need to work on my bike and has enough detail to help me decode my VIN, routine maintenance, and complex jobs (like working on front forks/rear swingarm). Quick delivery.



3. This Clymer repair manual is - as always - very informative, with detailed photos and with extensive descriptions of all relevant procedures concerning maintenance and overhaul. Covering the whole bike, frame, engine and electrical system. Furthermore is a usefull troble-shooting chapter and easy-to-use index included.
