1. Whenever I purchase a motorcycle, whether it be new or used, the next thing on my shopping list is always a service manual. I have purchased probably 10+ Clymer manuals and found them to be very well written with very good pictures and illustrations and easy to use. I do all my own work on my bikes and have done for 40+ years, but the manuals are easy to understand for an expert or novice mechanic.
   I did find one error in the manual on page 235 in table 2 which gives drive train and sprocket specs. The listing for the DRZ400SM model, which is what I have, in incorrectly listed as 15/44, when in fact it is 15/41. I did notify Clymer and they said they would correct it in the next printing. This was just a monor error and I still highly recommend their manuals.



2. It is exactly what I need to work on my bike and has enough detail to help me decode my VIN, routine maintenance, and complex jobs (like working on front forks/rear swingarm). Quick delivery.



3. This Clymer repair manual is - as always - very informative, with detailed photos and with extensive descriptions of all relevant procedures concerning maintenance and overhaul. Covering the whole bike, frame, engine and electrical system. Furthermore is a usefull troble-shooting chapter and easy-to-use index included.

1. Well illustrated and easily to follow service manual which covers the pre Boulevard model (Volusia) and Boulevard C50 (since 2005). Pity it is not spiral bound which would be a lot easier to use without the risk of damaging the binding! Good photos and exploded views of various machine parts and assemblies.

1. This is a good book, but, it could have a little more illustrations/pictures. I bought this one, because I couldnt find the manufacturer's manual.
   
   Color photos instead of black & white could have been better.
   
   I wouldn't say it is a bad book, but, they could have done a better job especially for a beginner level mechanic like me.

3. This book is very helpful. I actually own the Suzuki SV650s 2006 model and I follow the 2005 k5 model books suggestions. The book has saved me a lot of money on repair and maintenance costs. Amazon currently has the best price for this book as well. This book has everything an amature machanic needs plus a whole lot more that is way over my head right now. If you have an SV650 get this book. It's worth it. Even if you don't plan on doing a lot of your own up keep, you can still learn a lot about your bike. Happy Riding!

1. Un manual de reparación muy completo que te lleva paso a paso en cada capítulo. Explica ampliamente los procedimientos y reparación de la motocicleta.



2. It's a simple really good tool made for people that does not know to much about mechanics and that's the best thing it has!!!, ofcourse for mechanics like me it's a complete guide to explore this incredible machine!!!



3. I objectively +/- agree the the positive comments posted here, but warn owners of newer models that this manual does not provide the correct information for newer bikes. I own a 2002 GS500 manufactured in August of 2001, and this manual does not give the proper diagrams or procedures for a number of areas such as proper removal of the bodywork, carburetor overhaul, and some aspects of the electrics (the things that require a bit of detail to do properly). Again, it's a good manual if you own a bike that it covers, but my bike is evidence that its claim to support GS500's through the 2002 model year is not quite correct.



4. This book is packed with information but light on the insight I need as a first-time motorcycle owner. So far, I'm not able to find as many answers in this book that I thought I would. Since I don't have the original owner's manual, it is a great reference tool and I'm sure it'll come in handy as I become more familiar with the book and the bike.
   
   I was hoping for more tips, hints, short-cuts and recommended upgrades. If your looking for a dry textbook manual on the early GS500's and you're experienced with motorcycles, this is a must have as a replacement for the owner's manual.



5. As a non-mechanic, I found this book to be easy to follow. The great illustrations and photos makes motorcycle repair and maintenance to be a breeze!

1. I found lots of information about my bike in this manual. It is well written and easy to understand. It lets you know before you start a project if it will be difficult or fairly simple. If you want to work on your on bike this will definately help. The book paid for itself with the first repair.



2. I was disappointed to find that it only covers the 800cc bikes (which it does well), but not the 1400cc models. Nowhere in the title or description of the book does it tell you this. If you own the Intruder 1400 or Boulevard C90 don't bother with this book.



3. This manual, despite it's title, does NOT INCLUDE ALL MODELS LISTED ON THE COVER. There is no mention of these ommissions in the product details or editorial review which their should be.
   
   It ONLY includes:
   VS700/750/800 Intruder '85-'04
   VZ800 Marauder '97-'04
   VL800 Volusia '01-'04
   C50/M50/S50 Boulevard '05-'06
   
   Does NOT INCLUDE ANY OTHER MODELS!
