5. I ordered this for a class only to find out on the estimated delivery day that it is not available from any sources. This happened at 2 separate and different sellers, one being amazon and the other being a college bookstore. Apparantly it is a difficult book to obtain. If you need this book for a class I highly recommend you buy it from one of the used book resellers and not amazon.com as a new book or anyone else who sells it new and gives a future shipment date. Be sure that it is actually 'in stock' before you order it and check that it is the correct edition.

1. This shop manual is much better than the typical third-party shop manual. The instructions for most jobs include step-by-step instructions. Where special tools are needed, alternatives including construction of home-made tools are included.

   In many ways, for the do-it-yourselfer, this manual is better than the factory manual.

I was a young, impressionable 18-year-old high school senior in upstate New York in 1970 when I read Hunter Thompson's first book, "Hell's Angels," and was totally blown away by his first person, in-your-face, stream-of-consciousness "Gonzo" writing style. It was absolutely incredible to me. His unique writing style combined with a fearless attitude toward actually living and riding and learning the truth about this outrageous band of motorcycle outlaws produced an incredible look at the seamier, lawless side of life. And, of course, the alcohol and drugs and high-powered Harleys and thugs and ex-cons who eventually beat the crap out of him also added a real-life luster and dimension that Thompson captured so brilliantly in this amazing classic.

1. I was looking for a manual to help me learn how to trouble shoot, solder, and wire motorcycles. Not one that did none of the above and was also very outdated. If someone wanted to learn about basic circuits, formulas and a lot of fluff this is the book. But it does nothing for the budding motorcycle electrcian. Wish i could get my money back.

1. Mr. Trotta gave an excellent glimpse into his life. It was revealing in that he overcame many obstacles seldomly experienced by others. His story I believe gives hope to others striving to live life on their own terms. I want to thank him for his candor and wish him the best of success in the future. I have had the opportunity to met his wife and him in person. They are very unique people and the biography does them justice.
