1. Nice publication - valuable and interesting information for Sporty and Buell owners. Very pleased with this purchase.



2. I was expecting actual technical information, instead I found this book to be just a vague guide that just pretty much tells you what products do and do not work. The small amount of actual advice may be helpful to a beginner.
   
   You can get the same advice for free from anyone that owns a Sportster and has tried to upgrade it.
   
   This may be a good guide for a novice Sportster/Buell owner, but if you have any kind of mechanical backround or even tinker with bikes on the weekends, I would suggest passing on this book.



3. this wasn't a bad book, just outdated! should have said 86-03. NO rubbermount or buell xb and barely any 1200sport. we're halfway through 2008 and these were all signifigant changes in the sportster/buell line-ups. is probably still good enough for most readers. i just had specific questions on all 3 subjects mentioned that h-d and local shops could not answer for me and that's why i bought the book in the 1st place. oh-well.

1. The book has some useful touring information presented with a sense of humor. It could use a little polish and some color pictures would make it more appealing. Overall it will save the reader some time in planning a motorcycle trip to Arizona and is worth reading.

1. I bought this book on the recommendation of Dirt Rider magazine who listed it as one of their 20 'must have' products of 1997. They're not wrong. This book is a concise and well written guide for the home mechanic. While it doesn't have the detailed frame by frame guidance of a manual specifically for your bike, it's got lots of good information on how your bike works and why. Topics covered vary from basic maintenance and bike setup through to maintaining forks and transmission disassembly. For tasks such as shock rebuilds that your average owner is not likely to perform in their garage, the approach is to make you an informed consumer of specialist services. Both two strokes and four strokes are covered. There is a chapter which I think many owners will find very useful on best value mods for your bike. The four Japanese manufacturers are covered, with most MX bikes from 92-96 listed. The KDX200 (83-96), RMX 250 (89-95) and some XR tuning tips are also included in this section. If you're into off-road motorcycling you're likely to find this book very handy to have.

1. This book is a wonderfull manual for the home mechanic. It is easy to read and understand. I had a serius problem with my Lt 250 and had no idea how to fix anything on it. With this manual I was able to fix the problem without paying a mechanic high dollars. I would highly recommend this manual to anyone who owns a Suzuki Lt230 or Lt250,



2. I have a 16-year-old lt230 that has been sitting outside my house for 10 years or so. This book is my sole guide to rebuilding a large part of the engine (rebuilding top end.. disassmbling transmission/clutch.. hoping that's all she'll need) as well as all the other maintenance an old beat-up machine needs (bearing changes, minor frame repairs, etc.) I do not have too much mechanical experience myself other than doing some minor work on a Jeep and working on a go-kart. The job is turning out a lot easier than it probably should, thanks to this book. The only complaint I have is that the pictures are all black and white, making some illustrations hard to interpret. I recommend the Clymer manuals to anyone who owns.. well.. anything they write about :-)



3. All important specification information is simple to find. Detailed illustrations and text make easy work of apparently difficult tasks. Overall an Excellant Reference Book.

4. I recently purchased a Suzuki Quad and found this book to be my benefit. I have started tackling my own projects without paying the high priced dealers for repairs. My quad did not start when purchased and from this book I rebuilt the carb and it fired up immediately. I will probably use this book in the future for a complete engine rebuild. I wish the pictures were a bit more detailed, but this book is still an excellent buy and will save you major money without using the dealer for normal servies.
