1. In my opinion this book is one of the best books ive seen yet dealing with the repair, servicing and tune-ups of the hoda line of motorcycles. By far this book exceeded my expectations of what I thought it would be like. It had step by step instructions on how to do everything I needed to do. The photos really aided in the repairing of the motorcycle. Without this book, I surely would have been lost. So I think this book deserves the 5 stars because it is an excellent book and I think anyone interested in motorcyles would enjoy it.

1. This book is too general. It tries to cover too many models so nothing in the book is similar to my actual bike. There is also very little "beef" to the book.
   
   If you have no knowledge it may be of help but otherwise I would recommend the actual Honda Shop Manual.
   
   I would not use this book to do any major work on the engine or transmission.

1. Older repair manuals with dark pictures are next to useless. This one is has mostly dark pix. Avoid it.

1. If you like to service and maintain your bike yourself, then this is a great investment. It has lots of pictures which make understanding the text much easier. After spending half an hour flicking through the pages my knowledge of my bike doubled. I was supprised at how far it goes in explaining various parts of the bike.



2. If you can read, and if you know a combination wrench from a torque wrench, you can use this manual. It provides step-by-step instructions, and plenty of photographs. If certain repairs are best done by a professional, the reader is strongly urged to take the unit to an expert.

   I am a woman, and just learning about things mechanical. But, was easily able to remove and replace a worn-out starter on my 300 FourTrax by follwing the instructions in this book!

1. This is an excellent manual for the do-it-yourselfer. Covers everything step by step with tons of photos.
