1. This compilation fills in the gaps left by the other guides. Here, several riders describe the machines and, thanks to all the detail, you can gradually piece together how the bikes perform, which bikes are too buzzy, too sporty, or too small. Much more convincing than the usual catalog with commentary.



2. I was looking forward to reading the different reviews of BMW motorcycles in this book as I would expect from articles in MotorCyclist magazines. However, I find that the reviews posted were very inconsistent. Pictures are only black and white. Specifications are not even given in most of the reviews, and a some of the reviews don't even have a single picture with it.

1. I use this book like a bible. Plenty of pictures, more so than the Haynes manual, and the larger print makes it much more easier to read. Also, the various tables at the beginning or end of various chapters, particularly the Maintenance chapter, make this book a very useful reference manual regarding maintenance intervals, check lists of things to do, part sizes, liquid amounts, etc. Easy to understand, particularly for the inexperienced.



2. This book is fantastic even if you are inexperienced, plenty of pictures, diagrams and technical schemes, I recommend this book for all real Old BMW motorcycles lovers. BUY IT NOW... See you on the road, Chris the big black guy from France...



3. It's a great book but be warned. When I baught it I thought it was a book ABOUT those models. What it is is a typical Clymer Service, Repair, and Maintenance book. This was not clear to me since they didn't include the sub-title.



4. A very informative workshop manual. A must if you are doing your own work. It's well illustrated and easily understood. The only improvement it needs is a better index. The index it has now is not comprehensive and ,therefore hard to find specific listings without actually having to go through the chapters themselves. It would be a 5 star with a separate index for each chapter.



5. I bought this bike on the cover from the man that refurbished it to create this Clymer manual, so the book is especially helpful, since the parts are primarily from my bike. The bike still runs like a champ even though I only perform basic maintainance and ride it sporatically, so the auther must have known what he was doing when working on it.
   
   Many of the BMW owners that I have talked to own this manual, and I have always heard good things about it from them as well.
