I'm lost!!!

I'm hopelessly lost in the netherregions of the matrix! I thought I was on my way back into the populated area, but I must have taken a wrong turn! What do I do?

My only idea is to spiral out - I mean to make an increasingly large spiral starting at my current location until it either fills the alternate universe I've stumbled into or reveals the populated area once again. Any other ideas?
