5 comments about Death Duel of Kung Fu.
- The fighting scenes awesome. I'm talking about the guy with the tremendous kicking and splitting abilities. If you want to see a guy wax the behind of his enemies while being doubled and trippled teamed by splitting and kicking - well this is the flick for you. In my opinion this guy is the real star of this flick. He brings the real energy here. I'm telling you his kicks are devestating! No swords, no knives, no partners - NO PROBLEM!
The other guy ((Lo Lieh), he was a little lame throughout but in the end when he teamed up with the leg fighter to beat up the classic white haired villan he seemed to come alive. The plot is there - at least it has one! This is a must see classic for all old school Kung Fu fans.
The last fighting scene was totally awesome as well as a bit funny to me. There's nothing like a flying punch in your face unawares! I'm glad they brought this one to DVD!
- Now if you were to tell me that they made this movie in less than a week, I would easily believe you. The story is almost non existent with no good twists, just everything as standard as can be. But the fu gets 5 stars EASY. There are only 3 people who really fight and man do they shine. Don wong and liu ho at it again and I would have to say their fitht was better than the short ones in secret rivals. Wong isn't the greatest, but he looks tough as hell and can pull out some high flying kicks. The last reviewer mistook him for lo lieh, hwo he did that I have no idea, but he also said they teamed up on the white hair guy which leads me to believe he has not seen this. But if there is movie with liu and lieh teaming up, then tell me what you were wathcing. So basically wong and liu have to team up agianst eagle han after wong went agianst him and liu and wong go p against a lot of other people. I have to say that ALL the fight scenes in this movie kicked as, not just the final one. And there is a scene where the camera cuts and goes to a huge zoom out shot, and wong's and han's doubles are the most ridiculous things i have ever seen. They do great acrobatics but the hair for eagle's double is truly a kung fu classic moment. All in all, enough fights for a no story-line high-kicking cheapie. Picture quality is of course the standard MAT full screen, but hey, at least i have seen this now.
- First of all, it's english dubbing. Not japanese language. Subtitle is not available.
The worst is bad transformation from (whatever format) to DVD. Just bad DVD.. i wish never purchased this DVD. Bad Bad Bad Bad DVD...
- This movie really caught me by surprise!! . It came as a double feature the other movie was crap. I would gladly pay twenty times what i paid. Its old school at its absolute best. you don't have to fast forward much to get to fights and there fantastic! As far as a plot? I was too distracted by the action. There isn't a whole lot of goofiness like a lot of martial art flicks. The picture quality of my dvd is very decent. If you old school collectors miss this then you been cheated. Oh by the way there aren't a large variety of different fighters but the 3 main fighters carry it over the top
- whooo...i never expected the flick was going to be great....the storyline is about the ching dynasty tyring to go to taiwan to kill general cheng from the ming dynasty. However the plan was cut short when the prince of the ching dynasty was assasinated by one of the mings guards(wong)....the general assigned eagle (white haired guy) on taking charge with the military and to go after wong.
On the other hand, Liu is a wanderer who take his skills to the test against wong. At first he does not have any side to anyone until he found the secret of the necklace worn by a beautiful japanese lady who looks after wong. There is a good twist on the story during this part.
Ok the action is off the chain...liu is a really good kicker. He shows combination of side, front, and round flying kicks. He also does a great high flying power kick. His a versatile fighter because his great at both arm and leg combat and it is the same case for the villain eagle. Both of them really shines and delivers a raw martial art battle with no wire but pure martial arts creative demonstration. As far as for wong, his fighting skills are limited to the arm. Wong barely uses his legs making him vulnerable from the high front downward kick by eagle. However, wong does manage to do a high flying kick but only a few time. The final fight scene is just outstanding for a good classic kung fu film....very creatively done.
I also want to mention about the great coountryside of which this movie takes place, showing great view of mountains and rivers during fights.
The sound is great and the picture is alright which comes in full screen. If u interested on great classic kung fu film then u should definetely give this movie a shot, im glad i did thats why i give this movie a grade of 4.5/5 enjoy!

2 comments about Street Law.
- a street-wise lawyer deep in debt is forced to repay by participating in illegal martial arts fights. jeff wincott exhibits his martial arts skill throughout the entire movie. though i didn't understand the indian connection depicted at the start of the story.
- I found this movie to get a bit confusing at times, unless you pay complete attention. The story, though a bit original, gets exciting at times, then a little draggy. Its about a lawyer named John (Jeff Wincott - Mission of Justice, The Killing Man, Deadly Bet) who goes to great lengths to make sure justice is served, even if it means going broke and borrowing money from crazy loan sharks. When he finally loses his job completely, John turns to his old friend Lewis (Paco Christian Prieto - Only The Strong, Champions) to help him get some money and repay his debts. Lewis forces John to fight in several ring fights, and John learns of the misdeed his old pal is involved with, forcing justice to once again be served. Interesting story, but felt inconsistent throughout.
Honestly, I bought the movie for 2 reasons - martial arts fighting and Jeff Wincott. The best thing about Street Law is in fact Jeff Wincott. You will most likely come across a better actor in the b-movie action genre who also has exceptional martial arts skills. He performs well in Street Law, and really creates an individual character, as he does well in most of his films. There is not much action until the ring fights, and even then they are probably the least exciting ring fights I have seen in any movie. Jeff Wincott is capable of good ring fights, as one of his earlier films - Deadly Bet - proves nicely. Its not really his faul in Street Law, it just looked like the creators barely tried to show off any good action. In the end, Wincott fights Prieto, in only an average fight. The directing is a little poor at first, then the last part of the fight is ok, but overall its just average, and what I would consider to be below average for these guys.
Street Law is a good b-movie, but its different and not necessarily always with good feeling. Wincott does the best with what he has to work with, the story is exciting about mid-way through the movie, but action is quite limited. Its not nearly what I expected, and once you've seen this movie once, you probably won't want to watch it again anytime too soon.

3 comments about Goodbye Mr. Cool.
- storyline: eking cheng is like former gang boss that retired and is now restaurant worker or somthjing...his gf turns into a gangsta re[prsentin...so she tries to bring him back to thegangsta world...pretty ok action...
- Dragon( Ekin) is finally released from the prison after being held for bout 6 years. See, he was part of some triad( very much like Y&D series) and he had to do this 'job'. Which went wrong and earned him 6 years in prison.
Now, he is a new-born man. Dragon is determined to live his life right, with a help of this old friend, he gets a job as a waiter in his friend's restaurant. One day, Dragon meets this lil kid, whom is his son. Now Dragon has one more reason to live his life right. His son's mom, Helen(Karen Mok), Dragon's ex-lover , is now part of the triad and wants Dragon to come back. back in the days, Dragon was known for his fighting skills, and his passionate love for Helen. But Dragon, does not want to go back to his good old triad days...so Helen sets up a trap................Surpringly, Ekin was good in this movie(don't get me wrong, i loved Chan Ho Nam and Chicken in Y&D...), maybe cuz the character, Dragon, is like an older version of Chan Ho Nam. But even Ekin could not save this somewhat a slapstick triad drama. I still say it's descent because of Ekin, some fight scenes, and dramatic points.
- Ekin Cheng, stars as Mr. Cool, a former gang member, who returns to Hong Kong after being incarcerated in a Taiwanese prison for six years to discover he has a illegitimate son by his ex-girlfriend.
Cool, a renowned Martial Artist, has grown up in prison and wants nothing to do with his former association but the gangers won't take no for an answer. To complicate matters, Cool gains custody of his son, and a new love interest, his son's school teacher! I am a big fan of Ekin Cheng and HK cinema in general and I LOVED this film. Ekin was great as the reformed Bad Guy, always bearing things with stoicism and a sense of humor. The only thing I didn't like was the ending... Definitely a must see for fans of Ekin's.

3 comments about Snake and Crane Secret + The Snake, The Crane, The Tiger.
- This Is A Double Feature On One DVD...; Snake Crane Secret Needs No Mentioning, It Is A Classic In It's Own Right. Delung Tam And Meng Fei Are Just Pure Geniuses In This, Along With The Great Ti Lung. In The Second Feature, I Have To Say This Is One Of The More Better Works Of Carter Wong's That Has Gone Unnoticed. I Don't Know Why They Gave It This Title As Shown On This Flick, But The Original Title Name Is EMPEROR OF SHAOLIN KUNG FU. I Have To Say This Is A Must For The Classics, And Definitely A Collectors Item. You Don't Wanna Miss Having This In Your Collections. It Is Totally Awesome. This Flick Will Have You Sitting On The Edge Of Your Seat. The Plot And Story Is Teriffic, And Lo Lieh Is Sensational. This One Really Got Me Gripping My Seat. Definitely A 5 Star.
- The quality is as good as could be expected. Keep in mind that in could only have been taken from very old reel film. I purchased this solely for Snake Crane Secret, but it seems to have had the first 5 - 10 minutes edited out. I hate that.
If you are after the COMPLETE version, keep hunting.
- If you are a Kung Fu or Martial Arts lover, this is one of your collections. Key actors are real masters of Kung Fu and Martial Arts. They are not just playing. You can tell they are fighting with their bodies, and their brain. It's always satisfying to watch two movies at one time.

- Michael Dudikoff and Steve James return for Action as they must stop a drugdealer from creating super-ninjas.this is the best of the series which contains humor and action to keep you intrested, but it's ok to buy if you love action movie, but if you love Art your better off renting.
- THIS TIME, MICHAEL DUDIKOFF AND STEVE JAMES RETURN TO INVESTIGATE THE DISSAPEARANCE OF SOME MARINE SOLDIERS, WHICH LEADS THEM TO A RUTHLESS GANG OF DRUG PUSHERS. VERY VERY ENTERTAINING AND TO MY SUPRISE, IT IS ACTUALLY BETTER THAN THE FIRST FILM! THE FIGHTS AND THE PLOTS HAVE GOTTEN BETTER. THE FINAL FIGHT IN THIS FILM IS ABSOLUTELY SPECTACUALAR. MICHAEL DUDIKOFF IS DEFINITELY AT HIS BEST HERE. FOR FANS OF THE ORIGINAL, BUY THIS NOW!
- I just love this movie. Michael Dudikoff is such a great actor. I enjoy all his movies.
- Steve James and Michael Dudikoff are sent to South Africa to investigate the evil shenanigans of a drug lord who's kidnapped a scientist in order to make an army of "super ninjas".
The fight scenes are good (my favorite was the beach scene), the story's entertaining, the locations are beautiful. This movie could have easily have been as good as the first AMERICAN NINJA except for a few things that I found very distracting:
1) Steve and Michael are briefed towards the beginning by the commanding officer. The behind the back shot features a stand in for Dudikoff. How do I know? Cause he turns around and looks directly at the camera!
2) At the beach fight scene Dudikoff throws a stick (!) at one of the ninjas, it bounces off the ninja's stomach and he falls over dead.
3) When the master ninja throws a knife during the final fight scene the knife does not leave his hand. The camera just pans over to a screaming guy with a knife sticking out his throat.
4) The fight scene in the bar had way too much funny business going on. This is suppose to be a serious movie, not NORTH TO ALASKA.
Then again compare the $350,000 budget on Part 2 to the $1,000,000 budget on Part 1 and this film is pretty impressive. Check it out.
- What can I say about American Ninja 2 that hasn't been said before? `camp', `awful', `I haven't seen a girl naked' were the reviews when it went straight to video.
This winner of the coveted 'Campest Movie Award 1987' is a modern celluloid classic that ranks up there with the Godzilla films for depth, plot and mad ninja skillz, its obvious when viewing that Stevie Wonder was in charge of the camerawork with direction from David Hasselhoff, special effects are clearly done by Budget On A Shoestring Inc.
Watch in awe as a non descript ninja gets a beating, choke as you drive an oil tanker through the gaping holes in the script, look away in disgust as a burly Marine gets his USMC issued dress tunic ripped and torn off him in an homo-erotic struggle inside a drinking establishment, cry with joy when the heroes finally defeat the enemy and high 5 each other at the same time complementing each other physiques with a friendly bit of banter such as `you been working out?'. A bit like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon but with beer bosoms.
It makes you want to complete your degree in Movie Buffology.
